Cute place with lots of outdoor seating. Ipa & the Irish red beer were good, but their cocktails are really good! The Mexican martini was spicy and they leave the shaker which gives u 2-3 drinks for the price of 1. The chicken alfredo was a huge portion. Chicken was breaded and tender... really good. I have lived in Liberty Hill/Leander for 3 years now. I like to support local businesses. I have tried to give Hell or High Water the benefit of the doubt. Unfortunately, it is just not worth it. Went to brunch this morning. We were the first ones in the restaurant. You would think that would mean that the service would be pretty good. Unfortunately, this was not the case. Once they dropped off our food, it was nearly impossible to get anyone's attention for anything - butter for the English Muffin, another cup of coffee. More water. Anything. On top of that, I ordered a breakfast that specifically states that it comes with 3 eggs. They served me 2. And it took me over 10 minutes to let anyone know as there was no wait staff whatsoever around for extended periods of time. Needless to say, I won't be going back. read more

On March 14, 2021 my boyfriend and I decided to go for a drive and enjoy dinner on a gorgeous Saturday. I suggested Hell or High Water Brewing as I had heard great things about their food. We arrived and its a small but very nice place. Not into beers but we had a some cocktails...he had a Spicy Mexican Martini and I got the Hibiscus Devil's Punch. Both were great and the martini definitely had a kick. We ordered chips and queso/salsa for an appetizer and the chips were crispy and yum (I hate greasy chips) and the salsa and queso were so good. The queso could have been hotter temperature wise. We decided to just eat the yummy salsa and take home the queso to eat later. My boyfriend ordered the Fish and Chips and I ordered the Fried Shrimp but substituted Coconut Shrimp. We ordered the Sauteed Spinach and Garlic and Jalapeno Cilantro Corn for sides. This was one of the BEST meals we've eaten!! The fish and shrimp were crunchy and golden and not greasy at all. The sides were outstanding! We took home a dessert...the Cinnamon Apple Brown Butter Cake...and omg...what a treat in our mouths!! Not gonna lie, the place is kinda pricey...$10 for the dessert...the drinks were $10 and $13...the Coconut shrimp plate was $17.50....but it was a good splurge and the food was WORTH it. The food came out quickly and was standard bar fare. Pretzel and chips. However, our waitress disappeared and didn't show up again until my husband had gone to try to get our drinks. We noticed only one of the waitresses was friendly and trying to do a good job. The rest looked like they had just rolled out of bed and were doing us a favor by being there. Okay. I went back again tonight. Got the same thing to compare consistency between visits. It was still good, consistent flavors, breading was falling off though (breading should be switched to panko or crackers in my humble opinion) Overall...my opinions are still the same on price. Slightly high, but not the worst I've experienced. Still a 4/5 for that reason. I'll go back in a few months once they've started brewing and see if the pricing has adjusted at all. We stopped in after hiking and I'm so glad we did. I live in Leander and will definitely be coming back. The drinks, appetizer, entree and dessert were all good! The Sheriff and Deputy(queso, salsa and chips) was really good. they even have the code that almost had a double crunch to them! The Cowboy burger was flavorful, but I would like to see more barbeque sauce next time. I tried a side of the jalapeno corn and it had a really good flavor! The corn was cooked just right and want too soft. It has tons of pepper, but not too much of a jalapeno flavor. Lastly we had the chocolate cakes(can't find the name). Tried this place on a whim after going through Yelp. My son was in a marching band competition and we were hungry between prelims and finals. Picked this place. First off, I ordered a Mexican martini...it was all store bought premix and no alcohol and crunchy olives. Didn't finish. My husband ordered the Hefeweizen..cloudy and not good at all. The "Float the River" kolsch wasn't bad though. Our waitress...was a bit rude to our older patrons, short and rude. I'm sorry my mom asked a second time for a straw that you didn't bring the first time she asked...not when you brought everyone else drinks..it was a whole lot of rude to cut her off and patronize her. Also sorry my aunt was a little specific about what she wanted in her burger. The good. The burgers are so damn good. I took a little bite from my 4 yr old's burger and wow. So good! The flavor was killer! I myself, ordered the fish and chips...had a nice crunch. Absolutely no salt or flavor though. The batter was so dark, it was cooked a higher heat than it should of been. Also ordered the queso and salsa with chips...the queso was AMAZING, the salsa wasn't bad. The chips were stale, no crunch. Ruined the whole appetizer. Would also like to point out, the table behind us ordered the "Mexican martini" as well and was not given what I was. Theirs looked more what a martini should resemble and not the yellowy mess I was given. For what we paid for our food and the quality put out, I wouldn't really recommend it. All in all, I would LOVE to give this brewery a bad ass review but it really fell short. Will say though, the restrooms were clean and cold! I've taken friends there that have had other things and were all very happy with whatever they ordered. The atmosphere is great, the service has always been friendly and efficient. Hell or High Water is worth the hype! Good food, awesome beer and wonderful staff with the exception of one special server. Our server wasn't pleasant and overly fake each time she approached any table to speak. Her name is Meredith B. and is terrible for your business! She literally was arguing in front of customers with the host. SMH. The server made the customers uncomfortable by saying once the customers leave she can go home and study for college courses. (3rd year senior at Texas as she bragged). Hopefully, at best Meredith B. is rerouted as the dish washer, rather than customer facing. read more
