It's completing run by teenagers who are clearly incompetent and just there to mingle with friends instead of help customers. As a gluten intolerant person eating out is always a gamble. Often restaurants list GF items because the ingredients are GF but the kitchen and staff do not understand cross contamination. Our visit to Floga was not the case. The GF pizza was awesome and the staff even knew what salad dressings were safe. Every dish GF or not was enjoyed by our party. Me and 3 others came here before going Longwood. Walking in, it's your pretty average looking Italian and was quite loud. The hostess and server were very friendly throughout our whole meal. They were very knowledgeable about my brothers peanut allergy which was a plus. In terms of food, don't expect too much. Everything comes out drenched in watered down sauce and is 10x too hot. I was in town for work and needed to get something to eat. I pulled up the website and what really sold me was that I could order online. I ordered a small (even though it's huge!) cheese pizza and a small salad. My order was ready in about 10 minutes and it was very tasty. Pizza crust was nice and crispy and they definitely didn't skimp on the cheese! I could only eat 2 pieces and I was stuffed. The only downside was that there was not any plasticware in the to go bag. I'm staying at a hotel so it would have been nice to have, but I just ran downstairs and asked the front desk for some. Overall it was very tasty, quick and reasonably priced. I will probably go back at least one more time during my stay and try something else on the menu. The pastas and seafood dishes looked delicious too! read more

Floga was great many years ago- but not anymore!!!Ordered Floga delivery- one pizza was made wrong- asked for half plain cheese and half Hawaiian, ordered it as half and half and even wrote it again in the instructions to make sure- they made the whole thing Hawaiian so my daughter wouldn't eat it. Ordered a Gluten free pizza as I have a food allergy- and I had a HORRIBLE allergic reaction to the crust after ONLY ONE bite!! (Don't have this issue with other places' Gluten Free pizza!) Added on a Baklava for fun- it was TERRIBLE- the filling was dumped in the middle of the phyllo dough like a flipping sandwich. Terrible experience- will not order from them again!!! read more

I finally decided to write this review bc every time I've been here I've had great service and a great meal. For lunch during the week I usually get the special sandwich/salad and it has never disappointed me! Our family LOVES the hot bread that is brought to the table. I have had several pasta dishes and they have been great! Love the idea that you can order half portions! We've also had their pizza and love it. The Floga pizza (can't remember the actual name) was loaded with meat and very good! I have always left very satisfied! It's kind of hidden back in the shopping center so I think people forget about it. BYOB is a huge plus as well! read more

Love this place! Pizza is great and the mozzarella sticks are possibly the best I've ever had. Just tried out their breakfast for the 1st time and it was delicious! 100x better than the other local breakfast spots who serve up overcooked or undercooked and unseasoned garbage. We had the avocado Benedict, egg was cooked perfectly and hollandaise was perfect! Creamed chip beef and home fries was also very good. Our first restaurant visit since Covid-19! Floga has outside seating that even kept us dry in the rain. Some new twists are that the menu is now on your smart phone so there's no cross contamination. The hostess and server are wearing masks. My son asked for some changes and substitutions on his meal which they were glad to do. The food was wonderful and so was the service. Went for Mother's Day dinner and was above expectation! Superb food, best Italian Mediterranean dishes in the area. We had broccoli rabe and the calamari as appetizers and both were perfect. BYOB. It's been a while since we've tried Floga. It's gone downhill. We stopped in in the way home from NYC. First thing was to visit the ladies room. There were about 10 sheets of paper on the remaining roll, the other was empty. Do the women that work there not use the restroom? The paper towel roll was resting on top of the dispenser, too. I guess everyone is too lazy to attend to the housekeeping tasks. Server was unprofessional. Food, mediocre. 6 ravioli tossed on a plate. No salad, no soup. $13. Waiter was going to bring the check when I noted I had a check in for a free dessert. I got a cannoli, which was the best part of the meal. We'll choose somewhere else next time. read more

A side of pasta yielded the absolute worst "pasta" sauce I've ever tasted in my life. Seriously, something was way wrong with this stuff. Visited Floga Bistro on Sunday. Ordered the stuffed mushrooms app ($10.99) and was very good and presented beautifully. That's where the foodie fun ended. The Seafood Piccata ($27.99) was supposed to have homemade pasta and didn't and tasted like it. Asked if we could substitute the calamari for a little extra shrimp and scallops and was told we could, but didn't seem like it. The shrimp and scallops were very good, however the pasta was a letdown for that price. The meatball panini ($8.99) wasn't anything special, but it was just okay. I would like to visit again as I hear the pizza is "amazing." I would give this more stars, but we never got a discount on the for the mistake. read more

Sorry to say that my wife and I had the same experience as AL D. 10 months ago. We arrived and we're seated by the hostess, no problem. 15 minutes later we hadn't been approached by the wait staff. Another table, almost across from us, was seated and their waitress was providing them with info on Specials and taking drink orders. Needless to say, we left. We've eaten here before and enjoyed the food. The disrespect is hard to take though. There are a lot of restaurants in this area - way too many to treat customers so poorly. Came here with my parents for my Dad's birthday on a sunday night. It was a slow night for them as the restaurant was probably 10% occupied. Portions are large. The stuffed mushroom app was the highlight of the meal. Somewhat unique in style which was different that I'm used to. Otherwise, relatively standard american fare. Ingredients were fresh but quality was average. Service was average. Friendly enough but I definitely could tell it was end of the shift. I thought prices were a little high for entrees. Ok so I'm typing this as I'm eating so here we go. We started with grilled calamari. It was like eating a hose with balsamic vinegar. I got the special it's lemon chicken with artichokes and shrimp in a white wine sauce and pasta (I ordered it with gluten free pasta). It comes with a soup/salad. I went with the salad with the house dressing. Apparently their caesar isn't gluten free so I ended up with the house. WARNING: If you don't like olives, do NOT get it. It's basically straight up pureed olives and olive oil. Ok onto the pasta. The pasta was over done. The chicken and artichokes were boiled not sauteed (as they should have been). It made it extremely watery and bland. Supposedly there's white wine in the sauce...where oh where has my white wine gone??? We also ordered the gluten free white pizza with portobellos, artichokes, and prosciutto. It's paper thin and crunchy. It's more of a tortilla than pizza dough but it's tasty. I would do a white pizza again. The artichoke pieces on the pizza were GIANT! Like they opened the can and just slapped them on there. Overall it was good. BOTTOM LINE: Its expensive and kind of lack luster. Pizza is ok. Pasta wasn't awful but not anything to write home about. I would stick to something simple like an alfredo pasta. read more

It is located with ample parking in a strip mall storefront with a cozy wooden floor and round wooden tables. We had reservations for six including two mothers and were seated promptly and the waiter introduced himself for ordering waters, juice or coffee. They have a buffet but we ordered omlettes which came with hash browned potatoes with onions and a fruit cup. I had the Western Omlette which was too big to finish. The peppers, onions, and ham were the right size, amount, and temperature. The vegetables were nicely cooked al dente. The hash browns we're also well prepared and tasty. The waiters brought coffee refills, toast, ketchup, Parmesan cheese, and, importantly, Tabasco sauce. It was comfortable but too loud this particular morning. read more

I've been going to Floga with my family for years and we love it! Always treated like family here. My grandpa was the one to introduce us to the place and going back there now that he's gone really brings back great memories. We've had family gatherings here. The food is so fresh and has never disappointed me. Came here for New Year's Eve dinner while visiting with our best friends who live nearby. Made reservations and were seated promptly. Wonderful local portobello stuffed mushroom appetizer! Best lobster ravioli we have ever had. Everett, our server was pleasant and efficient and made us feel very welcome even though we were in our Dallas Cowboys jerseys. Fun atmosphere and good natured ribbing throughout dinner. We didn't see that it was a BYOB restaurant. It isn't prominently displayed on the website, otherwise we would have brought our own cocktails which would have made the evening even more enjoyable. Husband and I ordered a gluten free pizza for $14 (just crust) and were charged outrageous amount of money for each "premium" topping that was not organic!! We specifically said no cheese, and to our surprise at the time of pickup, they had added cheese! Total bill: $25 dollars for a almost individual size pizza not even made as ordered!!! The best part about Floga is the service; the second is that it's a BYOB. I've had brunch and dinner, and both times the food was above average, delicious, but not extraordinary - which is okay! Everyone who works here is super nice, helpful, and accommodating - even with large parties. Both times I've asked for something specific - not a special order per se, but more like a recommendation based on something I was hungry for and received a selection of options (even if I DID want something special). Floga has a solid following of fans who enjoy the traditional Italian menu and who will always have a solid experience. There is no reason not to enjoy a meal here. Nice Italian Restaurant close to Longwood Gardens. Good food and excellent service plus it is a BYOB. We arrived on a rainy Saturday night at 5:30 pm and they were busy. By 6:00 pm every table was Filled. The owner stopped by to check on us. Good stable choice for families and couples. The menu has a mixture of entrees, salads, pizza and a few sandwiches. Had the chicken parm panini and chicken Milanese panini both were flavorful and satisfying. We moved into this area about five years ago and have averaged maybe one visit every couple of months between breakfast, dinner and take-out. we enjoy the pizza because there are substantial toppings on them and they are cooked in a wood fired oven. Too many places just skimp on the toppings these days. Breakfast is great and the omelettes with local mushrooms are delicious. Pasta dishes have always been spot on and not overdone. This is probably the worst restaurant in the entire Kennett Square area. I ordered spaghetti and meatballs plus some mozzarella fritti as an appetizer. The mozzarella sticks came out so ice cold in the center that it overwhelmed my mouth with disgusting flavors of cold cheese mixed with hot breading. The spaghetti came out so overcooked that I had a very hard time eating it. The meatballs were just horrible. I won't even bother saying anything more about the meatballs. Floga Bistro is tucked away a bit in the corner of an anonymous mall on the east side of Kennett Square but it has always been a friendly and welcoming stop for good, unpretentious fare. Now that it also provides breakfast at weekends, it is a real contender for being one of the best breakfast spots in the area, most others being perhaps too well-established to be thinking about what they offer by way of menu or surroundings. The breakfast menu is not very extensive but there should be something for most tastes and appetites and it will undoubtedly be a regular stop for our family in future. The quality of the food is good and, as usual, the staff and decor pleasant and comfortable. read more
