That when i said it does not seem like you know what you are doing and the tech says, we can just leave, if you want. I said yes, it is time for you to go. But i want everything reconnected, they said no problem. After they left i went to check on things and found the thermostat wires were left disconnected. Called FloodAir to ask them to come back to connect thermostat and she refused to send anyone back to reconnect the thermostat. After being stood up all day by another AC contractor I called Flood Air who was recommend by a family friend. An appointment was made for Friday July 13 at 6:00 am. I was informed that the service call was $100.00. I believe the technician was Jeremy. He was a few minutes late but I was alright with that. First thing he checked was the capacitor which was not working. He told me $250.00 and he would have my AC fixed. He went to his truck and got the part and when installed that was not the problem. He needed to go back to his truck to get some additional equipment to check further on what the AC problem was. While he was at his truck I quickly checked the part online and found that he was charging me $150.00 for a $5.35. I confronted him about this and there were numerous excuses as to why they could 2803% up-charge. Long story short he told me I also needed a new compressor. I paid him $250 but later received a call from Jessica and she said Jeremy overcharged me and it would be less. I was told that I would be getting a call from Stacey for a quote to fix my unit. I never heard back from her on Friday or over the weekend. On Monday July 16 I called their office shortly after 8:00 am and spoke to Jessica. I told her I had not heard back from Stacey. I also asked her to tell Stacey to provide not only with a quote for fixing the unit but for a new unit. She assured me that Stacey would call. Well ladies and gents it is now Saturday afternoon July 21 and I have never heard back from anyone at Flood Air. Yes, they tried to pull a fast one on me and were caught in the act. However, I did call them asking for a quote and nothing. Business must be great if you don't get back to someone requesting a quote. I absolutely HAD to provide a review for the services I received last week from Eugene and his team at Flood Air! I was referred by a trusted friend when my A/C decided to break down and stop working in the middle of this heat wave we've had recently. I went through an inexpensive Handyman service first, to try and save some money as a single Mom. Unfortunately, that ended in disaster so I called this HVAC specialist and spoke to Eugene ( in a bit of a panic I must admit). He was kind, patient and sympathetic to my situation and squeezed me in the SAME DAY. Eugene and his team were out to my home within 2 hours and didn't stop until they diagnosed and repaired my old A/C unit! I'm moving and I just saw the bill from flood air from July 2018 in the middle of a heat wave. They came and installed a $800 HVAC unit for $1500. Spent an hour here. Shortly there after the item made all kinds of racket at times because it was not properly seated. When I called them I was told to call Amana as they were the one warranting it. My Carrier A/C was installed by Flood Air nine years ago, and it worked just great until recently when another company (Advanced Duct Cleaning) came to clean my ducts and did not re-install the fan in my attic correctly. I called Flood Air since they did the original install nine years ago. I could make this a very long review but the memory and the money spent makes it hurt to much. If I could give negative stars I would... Only after leaving a voice mail one hour after the appointment window expired did I get a call back an hour after that from their office manager saying that their previous job had run over and she was unaware that the owner had not contacted me to let me know. Simple courtesy would help in the first step of customer service. When they did show up 2 1/2 hours late and started to remove the old unit is when all the problems started. The two men who where installing did nothing but argue the entire time. This has everything to do with how poorly this furnace was installed. At the end of the day the furnace was installed wrong so the owner of the company Mr Flood himself had to come the next day to take the new furnace out and re install it correctly; so I thought. I had nothing but problems with air leaking into my garage from all the duct work and plenum so ultimately I had to hire another company to re-install the furnace and coil correctly. Had Flood Air install a new AC in my rental condo a few years back. Worked fine. But during the heatwave this summer it putz out. So I called and it was $90 just to show up. Gee thanks. It was a...5 mi drive? Gas must be expensive these days. Anyway, they came, rushed the job, left tools behind and blamed it on the age of the building. Changed the filter and blew out of town. And to top it off they never called me to approve any work or repairs. They just did it...which is not good common practice. A week or two later my renters are saying they can't cool the place below 75. So I asked them to come out (again)and got no follow-up call. I had to re-follow-up and see what is going on. The office assistant gave me some rambling statement about the piping and that was that. So, I have to pay money for a cheap filter, lackluster service and an AC unit that wont cool a 700 sq ft unit under 75...looks like I'll be looking for another company to service me in the future. read more

After he gave up, I called Carrier corporate and asked who their best local service team was... the Carrier rep explained that Flood Air Inc. has a Carrier-trained repair team so if anyone can fix it, they can. Eugene with Flood Air came out the same day and had my furnace working within FIVE MINUTES!!! After it was running, he did a great job explaining the status of my furnace and laid out my options for repairing vs. replacing the old unit. In the middle of a recent heatwave, my AC broke down, and became non-functional. I asked around for an HVAC repair recommendation, and didn't get a good referral, until a neighbor recommended Flood Air. She relayed that she'd had a good experience with them, so, after checking some Yelp reviews, I decided to give them a call. I first spoke with Stacey, the Office Manager, and was very impressed by her helpful, friendly, and professional manner. After an appointment was set up, two techs were sent out to diagnose the problem. Parts needed to be ordered, and after they arrived, Eugene, the owner, came out to do the full repair. He completed the repair in what I considered to be an honest, professional manner, and, as Stacey, was courteous and friendly. Admittedly, due to time constraints, I wasn't able to do a price comparison, but under the circumstances, I felt the price was fair, and that the work was honestly performed.
