Moving into our home we uncovered unexpected mold in both daughters living areas. This rating is based on my experience to date. I had a slab leak end of June, and per my HOA, they sent out Flood Pro. Flood Pro came out to do an estimate on repairs on July 8, and they just FINALLY sent back an estimate on July 27. It took them 19 days to work up an estimate, after many follow ups. That's a ridiculous amount of wait time, and work hasn't even started yet. You can't tell me it's because of COVID because my allstate adjuster and a separate vendor submitted their estimate to me in 1 business day. Very poor communication. read more

I don't even know where to start with this company but to say that this is truly one of the worst companies we have ever worked with. We have had so many issues that I don't even have time to list them all here, spanning from poor customer service (even rude at times), literally 0 follow through, missing deadlines by a long shot, incomplete work, lack of communication on major things, etc.. Unless you are prepared for many weeks of headaches, I can not recommend going with another company enough. Since working with these guys, we have found there are other local companies that do the same exact thing that are cheaper, do better work (and you don't have to hand hold them through every single part of the project), and have far better customer service. I'd say do a little more research and go with one of them. Your sanity will thank you later! UPDATE: To address Matt's reply below, FloodPros was absolutely hired to do quite a bit of work. This shows the integrity of the company, instead of owning up to whatever happened, they would prefer to make it look like they never even did work in the first place. We had a leak in our garage due to a pinhole leak in a pipe above and behind our washer/dryer. You don't have to be a Rhodes Scholar to identify it's NOT a good thing when water is flowing from your electrical outlets. The techs (Ramiro and JR) arrived around 8pm on a Saturday night. Our call interrupted a grill/smoking session at one of the tech's homes. I felt badly about that as I am an amateur smoker myself. We talked about the "art of smoking" as he and his colleague worked on the mold remediation. Both guys were very personable and walked us through the process while they were quarantining the area. I realize there are only certain types of mold which are truly harmful to humans. Regardless, I appreciated their thoroughness as there is no need to roll the dice. Once they completed their process I couldn't help but laugh. I swore ET was going to exit from the floor to ceiling length zipper of the "plastic wrapped" quarantined area during the course of the night. My only sort-of complaint would be that they left their HEPA filter machines running for weeks while they waited for a "possible" HOA approval on the re-build job. As I understand the process it only takes a few days or so to dry things out and resolve the issue. I'm guessing running those big boys for weeks was a big culprit in our hefty electric bill for that month. And they ended up losing the bid on the re-build job as our HOA must've gone with the cheaper of the two. Regardless, overall it was a very positive experience...if you can say that about mold. read more

I don't know where to begin with my dissatisfaction. First of all this company lacks communication. Many days they did not communicate their progress on a flood on my condo let alone if they are coming. Then there is someone named Taylor who lacks any follow through but is an excellent seller. Absolutely great at speaking to you and you're sold but once again nothing gets done. Lastly when they were hired to do the plumbing they tore down the vanity to pieces rather than disassemble it properly. I reached out to Matt and his company because I wanted to understand the process of water restoration. The water restoration company that we hired to take care of water damage caused by the water heater bursting in our rental home was not moving forward with drying or cleaning the area. Every time I asked them if they were going to dry the area they would throw out the scary "Mold" word. They said they could not dry out the area because of this. They did not open up the walls or remove the wet building materials to begin the mitigation process and instead let the home sit with the dehumidifiers running for over a week. It wasn't until Matt helped educate my husband and I on what should have happened and gave us the name of an air quality specialist, that things began moving. The air quality specialist intervened on our behalf and within a day our situation changed and the water restoration company finally began the mitigation process. Although we did not go with Flood Pro because our rental home was outside the area they serviced (Temecula), Matt and the air quality specialist's knowledge was invaluable. Without Matt's help we would still be sitting in a wet mess. If our rental home was in Orange County we would have gone with Flood Pro in a heartbeat. Matt truly cares about people. He went out of his way to help us. He has good character, is trustworthy, and very professional. We would highly recommend Matt and his company Flood Pro. I am not one to write many reviews as I am usually "satisfied" with performance and finished product but I feel obligated to say something about this experience. I will preface this by saying we had a flood in our condo and HOA covered the cost of 80% of the final bill (I added 1 room and tiling of fireplace in addition to what HOA agreed to pay). The total bill for 671 square feet was over $9500. Seems excessive to me but that is not my issue. The supplies themselves were less than 2k, so profit margin was huge. Problem I had was that it took a week to install 671 square feet of flooring. Reason was, they subcontracted the work and I had only 1 laborer doing the job. I had to help him move furniture and everything (I don't remember getting paid to work on my own house either. :/). That was not even the worst of it. All along they knew the flooring we wanted. They did not take into account that the laminate they were replacing was thicker than the plank they were installing so when it came time to put my baseboards back, their was a gap. Options given to me, were 1, get larger baseboards at my cost. Yes, my cost! Option 2, they would add an extender to cover the gap. I chose option 2 as I was done working with these people and just wanted them out of my house. Long story short, 90% of condo are right angles and straight, so the extenders worked. The other 10 % are rounded. In the first attempt, they decided to leave the corners bare. Obviously, that was not acceptable. They came back out and tried to force slightly rounded edges and caulk it. Obviously, that looked horrible too. Finally, they took my suggestion of using flexible moulding and even that doesnt look like it should but I was over it, so I just paid and moved on. I am going to have to remove the work they did and finish off myself. I understand that remodeling companies are overwhelmed but a job that should have taken 3 days with the proper staffing (which was what was quoted to me originally), ended up taking 3 weeks in total. What obligated me to write this review is I had my kitchen redone recently and it took 3 days total as quoted and they were very respectful of my time and home. I had no complaints and it looked better than I had hoped. Wish I could be sharing the same kind words about Floodpro but it would be a disservice to those of you still shopping for someone to work on your home. read more

What a wonderful company! Every time someone came to the house they were polite and kind!! With the amount of damage we had, I thought it would be very noticeable where all the problems were, but when they finished repairing the house it looked amazing and completely brand new! We had a pipe break in the walls that caused mold damage inside the walls. The H.O.A. were called and this company shows up to begin the mold remediation. They were very nice and professional. Their work and supplies seemed kind of sub-par, however. We had to call them out a number of times to fix the containment barriers they put up around the kitchen and a small area in the garage. Due to the heat 90 plus degrees outside and the scrubbers and HEPA filters inside the containment area created sauna type heat that caused the seals to come undone. We would call them directly to tell them of the broken seal and would say they would call us back a in a few but, never did. We had to arrange to have someone be home when they responded to fix the problem. However, it was like pulling teeth to even get information from them. All they would say is we'll get back to you and/or there are no one available. Eventually, they would call back and give a time they can respond that day. We have never had this type of problem before (pipe breaking in the walls). So, this was all unnerving as we lost our kitchen for weeks. A new company, STAT Services, Inc, replaced Flood Pro and did a much better job. Furthermore, as a result of our experiences and others in the community that had similar problems with water and mold remediation that had Flood Pro respond, I give two stars. Everyone said a second remediation had to be performed after Flood Pro responded initially. I didn't get a business card from the workers that responded. The reason mostly is that we didn't call them out or pay them. So, I am not sure of their address. read more

Unfortunateky -0- stars isn't an option. We went with this business because the owner is local and the husband of a teacher at my daughters school. We assumed that FloodPro would not be the typical unethical restoration company, but they turned out to be like the rest. They came in on an emergency basis and installed their dehydration and blower equipment. We had to make arrangements to have all of our contents removed which took over a week. In the meantime, we found out from our contractor the water removal equipment was a total waste of money as it is useless unless the walls and flooring are removed. Furthermore. Our home has little to no wood (steel framed) so there wasn't anything to dry out that didn't have to be removed anyway. They went into this whole "story" about mold remediation and trumped up their already ridiculous bill. Needless to say we went with another company. In the end, FloodPro billed us for $1600+ and sent us an attorney letter after less than 60 days when they hadn't been paid. They know as an approved vendor that the insurance companies can take some time to pay. They were just bitter that they couldn't further gauge us with a trumped bill and unnecessary services. I have a wood floor that buckled and after getting some very odd estimates and opinions of what to do I was really not sure of who to talk to or what to do. I called my Insurance Agent and he recommended Flood Pro for an accurate assessment of the problem and the correct fix. They came out quickly the first time and because the issue was complicated, they came out again- no charge. The second time the CEO came to my house himself to evaluate the floor. I would have never known who he was, other than it was clear he was an expert in evaluations and very thorough. Initially, Flood Pro was very helpful and sympathetic to our situation. The guys who did the dry out were great. However, it went downhill from there. Long story short, my home and the home behind mine were affected by a leak that caused mold to grow in both homes. Rather than schedule both homes to start mold remediation at the same time, I was scheduled first. Flood Pro had not even scheduled the other affected homeowner. During this time, I had to pay for a hotel out of pocket. I stayed at the hotel for 1 week. But I could not move back in because Flood Pro had not started on the other home. I had to talk to the other homeowner to get them scheduled, not Flood Pro. That was another week of hotel stay out of pocket. Then, when Flood Pro started the mold remediation, they workers broke the vanity top, damaged the bathroom tile, and damaged the bedroom closet. When I told them of the damages, their answer was things happen. They did not offer to replace or repair any of the damages. I would definitely steer clear of this company. We had a pinhole leak in a pipe in the wall between the dining room and kitchen and Flood Pro responded quickly after being called. They quickly figured out the issue, opened up a very small part of the wall finding exactly where the leak was, stopped the leak and commenced the drying out process. Once the area, carpet and pad was completely dry, they repaired the pipe, repaired the drywall and reinstalled the baseboard.
