One associate in particular, Kyle, was super helpful helping us determine what type of grout we should purchase, finding additional tile stock and even offered us water bottles. This is a hard review to write... you'll see why. This is a huge flooring store with a large variety of different types of flooring at competitive prices. My daughter is redoing her flooring and called and spoke to Chris on Friday and told him she was going to pay and pick up her flooring on Saturday morning. She explained that she'd be in a hurry and he said it wasn't a problem, he's have the flooring pulled and put on hold, ready for pick up on Saturday morning. We showed up to the store Saturday morning as planned and my daughter went in and paid for her order and was told to pull around to the side of the store for pick up. We parked and my daughter spoke to a girl who was assisting the fork lift driver. The girl said my daughters flooring would be out "in a few minutes." Patiently waiting (25 minutes at this point) we watched 2 other orders (people who showed up after we did) be loaded on trucks . My daughter asked the girl again where her flooring was... that we were in a hurry because my daughter had to get to work. With a snotty tone the girl replied, "I told you it'd be a few minutes. It's coming." I then said, "we've been waiting here for 25 minutes! That's not a few minutes. Do you know how much longer we should expect to wait?" She said they had to get the order down and it's coming. 15 more minutes passed and I asked again when the order was coming out. This rude, snotty b$&@! Replied, they're working on it. I told her having us wait for 40 minutes is not acceptable and she cut me off and said, "then you can talk to my manager!" I replied, "that's exactly what I want to do, please go get him!" 50 minutes we've been waiting and dealing with rude, shitty attitude girl and we get a manager who came out and apologized. He explained that the order that was promised to be pulled and put on hold the day before was not pulled. It was at the front of the store and needed to be pulled and brought to the side. He offered to deliver it but we needed it for a Sunday install and they don't deliver on the weekends so we had to wait for the flooring. Because he was apologetic and accommodating he defused the situation right away and the floor came out minutes later. The guy AJ and new girl who came out to load the flooring were very friendly and apologetic as well. So... this could've been a 5 star rating but I removed a star for the wait time and a star for rude, no customer service, attitude problem girl. Even after this experience I would still go back and shop here again because the manager saved the day by just explaining things and being nice! read more

Finishing a bathroom renovation project and I have to give Floor & Decor a big thanks for having a huge selection, good customer service and a simple return policy. I've made and returned numerous tile samples while selecting materials. It's helpful to take things home right off the shelf and return them the next day if needed. Once I chose the material, I ordered it online and picked everything up at the ProDesk. Staff helped me load it in my car. When I had to run back to the store for more tile, I could see online that I needed to go to a different location. For someone like me who prefers to guide the project and choices of material myself (vs. working with sales person, ordering samples, etc.), the "cash and carry" ease of F&D is great. I can be indecisive till the last possible moment and I don't feel judged at F&D. Haha. read more

Wait until you see the inkjet printed panels that look like polished stone; imagine it on a fireplace or shower wall! We found beautiful mother of pearl mesh-backed tile on clearance for a kitchen backsplash project. They also have wavy 3-D porcelain 12 x 24 panels that we used for a shower that turned out beautiful! Today we found ON CLEARANCE for only $1.89/foot! gorgeous light gray stone look with white veining ceramic 12 x 24 panels for our bathroom floors and it might just look good in the kitchen, too. Can hardly wait to get home and lay some out! We might just be back there tomorrow for more! read more

I purchased tiles and was told it has 2 prints, but, unfortunately I ended up with 11 different prints. There was some ugly prints such as coffee stains, and veins that made the tile look like it was broken. I went through 3 pallets of tiles to get around 1400 square feet that I needed. Pretty much half of my order needed to be returned. It was very stressful as I had to sort through them all and return. At some point I had to order from the San Clemente store to get the same shade and they messed up my order twice. After speaking to management at the Carmel Mountain store, Kyle Mescall stepped in and made things right. He was very understanding, processed my new order right away with expedited delivery of new tiles. I did not have to put my project on hold. I can't thank Kyle enough. I'm very grateful for him for helping me out with my tile orders and project. read more

Today was my first experience of a Floor & Decor and, in short, it was an underwhelming experience and quite frustrating. I placed an order online (4 tubes of specialty construction adhesive--so a small order) with in mind of using their curbside pickup. Bad idea. I've used Home Depot's curbside pickup many times and it's quite easy to use and I rarely wait more than 5 minutes, with the occasional 10min wait. HD sends an email indicating that order is ready and there's a button in the email you can punch to let them know that you've arrived. There are clear directions in both the email and at the HD store where to go/park for curbside pickup. None of this is true for Floor & Decor. There's no indication at the store where you're supposed to park and there are no directions in the email where to go or how to contact store to let them know you've arrived. I walked into store and walked around looking for anything indicating where to pick up online orders. Nada! I finally tracked down someone and they told me the Pro Desk (never mentioned in email) was in the far-right corner of store, in the back. After waiting in line a bit, I was told that there was one order in front of me and that it would be a bit. I asked if my order had been pulled and attendant said yes, but it was going to be a while. So I went out front of the store and drove around to back of and waited. After 20 minutes of waiting I went in to check and was told the same thing--one order in from of me and it will be a bit--and given no anticipated timeframe on when to expect my order (after asking), just "a while." After 35 minutes of waiting, I was ready to cancel order and nab it off the shelf. Just then, someone was coming out with my order. Sigh. Compared with Home Depot, this place is utterly terrible. Will never shop there again. And hey, if you want to play with the big boys, learn how do better customer service/support! read more

I've been shopping here for the past few months. Their selection is huge and it is so wonderful that you can see so many different styles and samples and you can take it with you the same day! The staff is always very friendly and helpful. Trust me I have made numerous trips back-and-forth picking out and returning tile while remodeling two bathrooms. Believe me, everyone is always very accommodating! And the best part is they do not charge you any crazy restocking fees! I just left today and Jeri the cashier was totally awesome helping me with our big giant return and purchase. I will be back tomorrow to pick up the rest! read more

They definitely have a good variety on a budget but the service could be a lot more organized. We had a bunch on wood floors on back order and by the time they came in the trim pieces were all the wrong color and it was going to take even longer to wait for the right ones. Also be aware that we had issues 2 times with tiles being mixed in the wrong box including wrong color then what the box/label says. I still would shop there though as the prices are pretty good. Just hope to not have to deal with headache issues read more

Staff is amazingly helpful. Ordered cherry treads for our stairs to match our floors, adding Italian tile for the riser. One of the treads was cracked, and John found a replacement, same day. They we so helpful in pointing us in the right direction when it came to coordinating colors and patterns. They were also very knowledgeable about the tiles they sell and they provided us valuable information on tile spacing and grout color. We are so happy with our choice of porcelain tile flooring and tiles for fireplace, kitchen backsplash and shower. We did some shopping around with other companies before choosing to purchase our tiles from Floor & Decor. None of the local stores had any of the tile that we wanted in stock and their pricing was significantly higher. BUYER BEWARE The store has plenty of items to choose from. The employees were nice and made shopping fun. We never bought anything. We attempted but the price on the display was incorrect. We were just buying a few tiles for the start of a project. When we questioned the price $15.96 price per tile at the register, the cashier said "do you have a picture of the display?" We went back, took a picture of the price we saw and she said it isn't the right price. She said she could not honor the price. We questioned why the price was with the display tile on the wall next to it with nothing else in the display alcove. She blamed the employees that set up the display. I asked for a manager. She said she is a manager. Floor and Decor, if you're hiring managers that throw your employees under the bus for a display error and do nothing to make things right with potential customers, I have no reason to shop at your store. orst experience ever Low quality products in this place and overpriced I bought a 800$ defective shower pan from this place and it started leaking after 5 days I tried to get my money back and they refused because they are blaming it on my construction guys who installed the pan and these guys been in business for 25 years and we followed all the instructions required and at the end the "investigator " said that we used a wrong brand for the mortar underneath the pan and that's not right because the " type " was correct and nothing on the instructions box is specifying a brand to use but they just wanna find a way to dip out and not reimbursing me back I would definitely recommend Home Depot they are way better and they have a better costumer service at least they got the calls instantly and they always keep the costumer happy read more

Truly amazing staff from start to finish! I am so happy we decided to buy all our home renovation material through them. Lois S. helped us with all the ordering. We had to custom order some items and weren't sure how many pieces we needed. She was able to take this information over the phone after we talked to our contractor. (We signed a CC authorization at the store before leaving.) This message is for Jon A. and Louie G. of the Carmel Mountain store. We were waiting for our delivery all day yesterday and it never came. We received a call late in the afternoon that the delivery was postponed! We were so upset that we waited the entire day at home for a delivery that was going to be postponed. We called the store and Monty picked up and immediately rally his teammates, Mason, Trey and Rowe, to use their own personal vehicles (took 1 large truck and 2 small vehicles) to deliver 2 heavy palates of material to our house within 1 hour!!! Amazing services. Not only did they use their own personal vehicles, but they took the time to unload all the boxes INSIDE our house--definitely above and beyond call of duty. This is a great place if you know exactly what you need and what you were doing. They never answer the phone. The online chat doesn't work. If you can get through the virtual assistant and get connected to a live person, it won't take your text. Clever, I guess if you have no interest in helping people. I have no idea why they never answer the phone but I've been working on a project for two months and not once have I gotten through to them. Even when you go through the entire phone tree, you will eventually be hung up on.
