He was more than helpful explaining the different tiles and differences he also helped us with vanities and matching tiles to them it all seemed overwhelming but we were at ease with Oscar since he answered so many questions for us. So the place is huge. If you can't find a flooring you like here your in trouble. This review is based on flooring choices only. We had made an appointment with the design team who was running way behind and totally swamped. Very nice person but the service on that side needed some additional support. This is where big retail store versus small boutique stores play out the differences just a bit. Overall she had a good eye and was helpful. . The choices for flooring include everything from bamboo to hardwoods to porcelain. So many incredible choices. Pricing was great too. Parking was easy. I'd recommend it. read more

I've been to this store many times and usually have a decent experience. Most of the sales representatives are friendly. One worker who has been especially kind and helpful is Khanh, who helped me several times and gave great suggestions. However, today I had an unpleasant experience with the store manager. At first, I was confused as to the problem with my purchase, especially since the two cashiers who helped us did not have a problem. However, the store manager was at the next register and told us there was a problem. He used a negative and impatient tone when telling us that we could not buy more than two samples. I was initially confused because I thought they were selling the planks for full price, as they were full sized, not sample sized. He immediately accused us of trying to "cheat the system" by not buying a full box. My contractor only asked for a few pieces, so I didn't think to buy a full box, especially since the store had open boxes with individual planks seemingly available for sale. It took me a while to understand the situation because I was taken aback by the accusatory tone from the manager. As my dad exited the store, the manager called out, "Aren't you going to pay for that sir?" This was shocking, especially as my dad checked out at the register the manger was stationed at. While accosting us, the manager forgot that we already purchased the samples and jumped to the conclusion that we were trying to steal from the store. I understand that he stopped us to try to explain the store policy, but he continued with an unpleasant demeanor. We were genuinely confused at the situation at first, and rather than helping us understand, he accused us of cheating and kept telling us we had to buy a full box. Most of my experiences here have been pleasant though and I am thankful to all the employees who helped me and my family with our remodeling. read more

I came here to pick up my online order and I thought it would be a painless, fast process. Boy was I so wrong, when I got to the place I tried to walk in the door that said pick up but the automatic door won't open and I saw a sign that said check in at the front. So I walk in through the front and I checked in with the person working the cashier. After I checked in, I overheard someone on the walkie talkie saying it would be a 30 minutes wait. I know with the covid-19, we should expect some delay but 30 minutes for a curbside pickup especially in the hot heat?! So I basically just parked my car in line and went inside so I don't waste my gas just sitting there waiting. There was only 2 cars ahead of me. All I was picking up was 9 boxes of tiles, I was very disappointed with this. So I ended up waiting about 45 minutes to finally drive my car into the pickup zone. But when they were bringing out my tiles, I saw that they got the wrong one. I ordered the polished tile and they brought out the matte. So I of course had to wait longer like 20 minutes. I was bascially at the place for almost an hour and a half just for a curbside pickup. read more

I went to the Floor and Decor today with my wife to select tiles for our bathroom remodeling project. Will was friendly and patient, and he went beyond his duty to ensure that we selected and satisfied with the product. In addition, he even carried the sample tiles for us and walked each aisle to ensure that we could match the color for the wall and floor. Will is knowledgeable and answered every questions that we posted on him. Furthermore, he reached out to other Floor and Decor location to locate the tiles that were not available at the San Gabriel location. I normally do not write review, but Will is exception! One star for the two young ladies that work there. June 14, 2022 6pm. First and last time I will shop or give them my business, never recommend this place to anyone. Unless you can tolerate lazy employees. This guy (employee) walks up to me and asks if I need help. He sees I'm trying to lift a box of floor pieces. Never did he offer to help me. He actually watched me lift 6 boxes of floor. During that time while he was waiting for me to finish so he can direct me to the foam that goes underneath floor. I was told by my friend's husband to ask for the foam bc it comes with it. He was looking at me like I had said a dirty word. So he directs me toward foam. I ask him what the difference between one and the other. He said it's just foam. Then he walks away getting on his walkie telling someone he had to go watch the door. Really ?? Thank for nothing you lazy loser. Karma will get him and soon. No manners just full of himself. So if you're a woman over 40 please go somewhere else. Oh the other men working there. They would just walk by pretending they didn't see you. Or walk in the other direction. One of the young ladies there was nice enough to help me figure out how many cases I would need to purchase. We were not sure about what flooring to purchase for our master bedroom. The young lady who helped us, Jiale, was very helpful and patient with us. She spent time answering our questions and explaining the different flooring that were in the store. She was very knowledgeable and we did make our purchase according to her suggestions. I drove all the way out here from Duarte for my full house remodel. I'm disabled and depend on store mobility carts. Their cart was plugged in but when I went to use it it clearly was not working. Apparently they don't bother to check their one cart. No apology. I can't walk the store so I just had to leave. I guess I'll stick to Home Depot and Lowes that serve the disabled with half a dozen WORKING mobility carts. read more

He was excellent, customer friendly, sharp, knew his products, plus from a management point of view was extraordinary! He made sure he counted all our marble tiles, and helped us locate and hold tiles from other stores. Demarcus should be in a management position! Unfortunately, I didn't have a good experience at the San Gabriel location. I spoke to a designer who helped with figuring out my measurements via phone last week. I had product already picked out and she provided a quote. We set an appointment, and I got really sick the night before and had to cancel it the day of (a few hours prior). I left a message and sent her a direct email informing I was too sick to make the appointment. I informed I'd try to come the following weekend - on either Friday or Sunday at the same appointment time. The designer never responded or followed up to my Email or voicemail. Today I went in ready to make my purchase, in the ballpark of $980. I made sure to ask for the designer so she could get credit for the sale. Once I located her, I introduced myself and reminded her who I was. She told me, "I'm too busy with appointments, I can't help you." I said "Ok, well is there someone else who can help me?" She answered, "No, there isn't, and I can't help you. Sorry." She then tucked her cell phone into her pocket and walked off. I was completely mortified as it happened in the presence of other customers. Here I was ready to make a purchase and she literally walked away. As I later expressed to the Manager, Scott, a much better and professional way to handle that matter would have been to say that she was unfortunately very busy and booked, but would be happy to schedule another appointment for me. The fact that she walked away meant "I don't care about your business." Fortunately, I was able to find a similar color and pattern at Home Depot for my project at the same price, and was treated very well there. My advice to upper management at this location of Floor & Decor is to reinforce sales/marketing training and improve customer service. read more

I have to say so much more than just this review Sonya is the designer we worked with at Floor and Decor at the San Gabriel location, while being amazing at her job she comes with a background in mechanical engineering which helps her give you an amazing design for the small or large space you have she gifted us with so much knowledge that both me and my boyfriends mother hadn't known about. Drawing after drawing she was highly involved with our repositioning of our shower to be better accessible for someone who may have difficulties getting in and out !
