So it took me 9 month but here I am sharing our stairs upgrade experience. After several interviews and estimates we decided Blake was the person to go with. Since the first visit when we talked about our desire to replace the stairs' carpet with wood panels to the completion of the project, we were impressed with Blake Latta's professionalism, attention to de and friendliness. He was on top of our project, scheduling deliveries and the installer. I would have liked to have a little more input on the color to match the rest of our floors, and that is on me. I was in a hurry to make the change "I had a strong dislike feeling towards the carpet". We are very happy with our the attention and the work Blake provided and extremely happy with our stairs. Our entry way had this tragic thick white tile. It always looked dirty and was hard to clean with how deep set the grooves were. I hated it! We got quotes from 3 places. Floor coverings was not the cheapest but we felt so immediately comfortable and cared for by Donna. She was very thorough in her assessment and offered to get a bigger sample of an item I liked if I wanted to see it on my floor. She was readily available via text, so we hired them for the install. Great experience - from start to finish. Donna's great to work with. I replaced the carpeting in my bedroom and replaced carpet with LVP in a large majority of my house. I was hesitant to pick the LVP style with only having such a small sample tile so Donna worked her magic and got some full sized sample boards for me. That sold it for me - the LVP style and Donna! :) Both installation teams were fantastic. Very polite, communicated with me well, worked effectively and knew what they were doing. I wished everything would have gone perfectly but everyone was shocked to find a rare manufacturing flaw in the carpeting as they were unrolling it in our living room. But Donna (who had helped us pick the perfect carpeting) was right on top of things. She got the replacement carpeting here from Georgia within the week. All is perfect. You might save a few pennies somewhere else, but you will not find the level of customer service, dependability, efficiency, and care from start to finish elsewhere. My experience with them was wonderful. Donna is great she'll come out to your house and bring samples does a good job about listening to you and reading what your style is and what you're looking for. When the guys came to install the floors they were very pleasant and got right to work. They were great at moving heavy furniture out of the way and communicating every step of the way including their progress and any potential issues they might've found along the way. I love that Donna comes back to do a final walk-through with you to make sure you're fully satisfied with everything. There were a couple of quarter rounds that got missed so they quickly arranged a day that worked best for me to come back and fix the couple of pieces. FCI sanded and refinished our floors about a year ago and we LOVE the results. Our house has hard wood floors throughout, which the previous owners installed themselves. The previous owners did a few things incorrectly and we wanted an different wood grain anyway. The process was very professional. First, Donna, the general manager came to our house to consult on what we wanted, and she was great about assessing the existing floor, commenting on the type of product it was and the number of times it could be sanded and refinished. Next I was contacted by the project manager who would oversee the actual job, and scheduled the refinishing. The workers were on time, polite and meticulous. The finished job is GORGEOUS. Our entire first floor is stunning compared to before the work was done. I will use this company again when we're ready to tackle the second floor. It's important to have excellent installers for this type of thing, considering you have to be out of the house for a few days. I have unconditional love for Donna and Co. read more

The service industry as a whole should take lessons from Floor Coverings International. They were absolutely incredible from start to finish. First of all, Donna is a terrific salesperson and a great listener. My wife and I differed in our opinions of the type of bathroom floor we wanted. But rather than suggesting a compromise that we'd both just settle on, she brought in just the right samples that exceeded both our expectations. The carpeting for the bedrooms was an easier decision, since we were both on the same page on that, but Donna was very thorough in explaining the differences between various fabrics and such, making our final decision an educated one. Come installation day, the workers were equally admirable. Taking their time to do everything perfect, rather than 1-2-3 and out the door, like most tend to do these days, they did a great job. They encountered a stubborn sub-floor and underlayment that the previous owners (total idiots) had installed improperly. They spent a great deal of time (more than the rest of the job itself) removing it and making it right, rather than just making us live with it or covering up the problem (as just about everybody else wants to do). And they cleaned up everything and took away all the junk. There's no doubt whatsoever that all our future flooring projects will be with Donna and crew. I've never felt a stronger sense of endorsement for any other company we've dealt with. read more

We have used Floor Coverings International for three major household projects over the past five years. In 2013, after our dishwasher malfunctioned and water-damaged our hardwood floors, our insurance company sent out Donna Teagle of FCI. During this especially stressful time, she immediately put our minds at ease over the process of repairing our floors- a repair which included replacement of floor boards and a complete sanding and re-staining of most of our first floor. The repairmen were a highly-skilled & professional crew who took great care with our home. Donna made sure our new stain was the perfect complement to our existing cabinetry. After five years, there is NO evidence that the repair ever happened! Because this excellent craftsmanship & service, we called Donna when it came time to replace dated carpet throughout the house.
