Do you carry Bolefloor or any curved wood/vinyl/laminate flooring?

Hey! Curved flooring, custom parquet, exotic wood, herringbone, wood borders, wood medallions, and stone medallions are all custom order projects. Regarding Bolefloor, we measure your room first before the wood can be milled to matched with their… Read more

We paid over $14,000 for a professional installation, but we have been left with a failing floor and an owner who uses "warranty offers" to avoid fixing his own team's gross negligence. 1- The "Standard Procedure" Trap The owner, Brian, will claim he is "ready to resolve" the issue, but don't be fooled. His "remediation plan" is a cheap "spot repair" that ignores the systemic subfloor failure documented by an independent inspector. The inspection report--which the owner himself initiated--confirmed the subfloor is outside of manufacturer flatness tolerances and should have been leveled before a single plank was laid. Instead of honoring the contract, Brian is trying to force a "patch job" that is technically impossible for a click-lock floating floor without compromising the locking mechanisms of the surrounding area. 2-The "Extra-Cushiony" Gaslighting When the floor first began moving and crackling, the owner and his Project Manager, Chuck, didn't even bring a straight-edge to measure the floor. Instead, Brian actually wrote us a letter claiming the structural instability was a "feature," calling it an "extra-cushiony step." It was only after we refused to accept this gaslighting and an independent inspector proved the failure that he finally admitted the floor was out of tolerance. 3- Why "Access" is the New Excuse The owner claims he is being denied access. This is a blatant attempt to flip the narrative. We have welcomed a wall-to-wall assessment to ensure the floor finally meets the 1/8-inch manufacturer requirement we paid for. The owner has refused this. He only wants access to perform "localized" patches that would leave our $14,000 investment non-compliant and likely void our long-term warranty. 4- Unprofessional Negligence: * Technical Failure: The crew installed the planks tight against all four walls with zero expansion space. * Zero Preparation: Subcontractors arrived with no knowledge of the scope of work and didn't even know a vapor barrier was required (even though we paid for it). * Scheduling Over Quality: They attempted to install over a wet slab only 24 hours after abatement. ***Final Verdict:*** FCI Chicago North Side skips the most important steps (leveling and moisture protection), tries to talk you out of noticed defects, and then offers "minimal repairs" once they are caught by an inspector. They prioritize their profit margins over industry standards and contractual honesty. If you want a floor that actually lasts, do not trust this company.

Some would not tell me the brand the flooring was. Some just did not know their products. It was all so frustrating. Then along came Charles. My knight in shiny armor. He is sincere, honest and truly cares about your needs. He lets you know if there is a delay or a problem. I felt that I was in good hands. He told me all I needed for the floor. The supplier he deals with is top notch. Then came delivery/installation. I was immediately was put at ease with the worker he sent. I wanted to keep him. He did a nice job installing the floor. As soon as there was a little dust or mess there he was with his broom and vacuum. I love my floor. I did not even have to get use to it. My old floor was dark and this one was quite lighter. I do not expect to have any problems now. If I do I have confidence that Charles and his crew would be right here. Carpeting will be done soon. My plan is to go with Charles again. Skip the fast talkers and go with Nationwide Floor and Windows.

The day of my carpet installation I was told that there was a defect and they needed to get a new carpet in there. No problem. The second day I decided to wait and have them unroll it in front of me. Thankfully I did that because it was was completely the wrong color! See photos. The yellow carpet is what came, vs the taupe carpet that I ordered. They left with that carpet yet left the nails and pads on the floor. I was told it was a dye lot issue.. At that point I knew what my second carpet choice was, but could not get anyone on the phone and had to then drive to the store to speak to my associate as I needed the carpet installed asap (now 3 days out with carpet pad and nails in the floor). The third carpet install date went OK except they didn't place padding under my builtin. So a fourth install date was required. Finally, after all this, I asked my sales associate for my refund since the new carpet was cheaper. I was told that the carpet wouldn't be refunded due to the company "eating the cost" of the first carpet that was the wrong color! In the end, they did give me the refund and $40 as a "good faith" gesture lol. I'm not even very happy with the new carpet as it has a white line (not a seam) running down the middle.
