Edmon and Diego are the best! Often what it comes down to is shopping around multiple places and when you find flooring you really like you tend to go with the showroom you found it in. But... beyond the product, service can be a crapshoot. Luckily we got the best price from the best guys! Recently posted a review outlining the difficulty that we've had with our floor panels starting to buckle. It cost us $800 to have our floors repaired. Our repairman said the floors were not properly prepped (scraped) before installation therefore the floors were uneven. We had some leftover panels that were used but the rest had to be glued down. After having an unpleasant experience with our previous flooring company, we made sure to exhaust all efforts around Orange County. We ordered samples from other locations and different brands because we knew we couldn't trust the 2x3 sample (with several different variations of planks). We finally found the flooring at FDC, and luckily it came with the best customer service. Charles was knowledgeable, respectful, polite, and responsive. He even spent the time with me to discuss prior subfloor issues and educating me on the best way to install our flooring system. Wish we would've found him and the flooring earlier (would have saved some money and grief). FDC is amazing and Edmon, the owner, was awesome throughout the entire process. My prior contractor totally screwed up and we had to rip out 3,000 square feet of flooring. My neighbor recommended FDC and Edmon. He told me that they do great work. He wasn't kidding. We were living in the house while they were replacing the floor, which is a challenge for any installer. They had to move our furniture from room to room while working. I was expecting some damage to furniture or walls, but they were amazing. 0 damage. These guys were super careful. Next comes the installation. My former contractor failed to install a vapor barrier and never leveled my foundation before installation. Needless to say, moisture from below and unleveled foundation ruined my vinyl flooring, and it all had to be replaced. FDC came in, checked it out, and leveled my foundation, applied an epoxy vapor barrier, and used a vapor barrier glue for the engineered wood planks. That's what I call professional work done the right way. There was no shooting from the hip or "we cross that bridge when we get there" moments like you see with most contractors. These guys had a plan, and followed it to a "T". In addition, Edmon, the owner, was always available for questions and concerns we had. He never argued with us, he never tried to talk us out of doing something that would create extra work for him or additional costs and was plain honest. What I liked best is that during a final walk through, he didn't like a couple of things that I thought were fine, and made his guys redo those sections. That is what I call a "we stand by our work" attitude. Most contractors would have just said, "yeah, it's not a big deal that there is a slight chip here, don't worry about it." Not FDC. Edmon was like, "nope, that has to be fixed asap and you don't pay the final payment until this is 100% perfect." WOW! That's what I call "customer service." Thank you FDC and Edmon. You guys are superb. I am going to recommend FDC to all of my friends and family. If you chose this outfit, you are in amazing hands. read more

I am very happy with the flooring I got from FDC. I needed flooring done in a very short time frame right before Thanksgiving weekend. FDC delivered and finished the day after Thanksgiving. I have to say Charles really went above and beyond to keep in contact with me to make sure the job got done and Ed worked with me price wise. There are a few minor details with the installation that I want fixed. Charles offered to have someone come out right away, but I have a few other projects to get to. So it's good to know they are willing to take care of you even after the job is done! Overall I am very pleased and feel like I got great quality floors. read more

From beginning to finish, we had a great experience with FDC. We were referred to FDC by our General Contractor. We were introduced to Edmon by appointment and took great care of us through the patient process of picking out samples and tips on moving them to different rooms throughout the home to get the proper and different lighting. We took our time determining which Engineered Hardwood flooring would work for us and Edmon was always available to answer questions. We made our choice and installation was scheduled within two weeks. We got a call before the installation that they wanted to demo a couple of days early. The installers were very professional in that we had a lot of furniture and lose items still around the house and we were able to move items freely from one portion of the house to the other and our garage was also filled. Edmon showed up at our place because we were not sure of which direction to have the run of the planks to go. We came up with the solution which made us both happy. A last minute issue came up with the transitions to the bathroom tile which Edmon came up with a transition strip that matched out wood floor perfectly and looks great. The installers also installed new baseboards of our choosing and add extra character to the room. Once installation was fully completed. We had a final visit from Edmon to our home which he inspected and answered our questions about cleaning and maintenance. We are so glad we went with FDC, especially in this post-pandemic times, in that the price and service were excellent. read more

Installation was also fast and on point . We had to replace the subfloor as well due to some previous water stains and I felt like that was a good deal as well. I left a review right after our floor was installed and gave three stars for the owners speedy responses (otherwise it would have been one star) but at this point, a year and a half after installation the floor gets worse and worse. I've never seen more nail holes in my life, the caulking they used is impossible to get off and attacks dirt and dust making our floors looks dirty all the time AND NOW the floor is bowing and is lifting in multiple areas of our house. Every contractor that has walked on our floor has mentioned all the flaws and have told us how it was done wrong and why we're having all the problems we're having. We're about to remodel our kitchen and to be honest we're thinking of using the money to redo our floors after we spent thousands and thousands on our two story house only a year and a half ago. Redoing our floors (which means pulling the stairs and redoing our hand rail and spokes) would be so expensive but at this point but if it means we don't look at the daily reminder of continued disappointment it will totally be worth it! Do yourself a favor and pay the extra money and go somewhere else so you don't risk ending up with the awful mess we have. read more

For our new place we had got another quote or two for remodeling, one that was really astronomically high (like we could have only done a fraction of what we ended up doing). We came in to look for flooring and met Mario and Edmon, they were very helpful and said they did full remodels. We talked pricing and did some estimates and it being our first home and remodel, I'm glad we went with Flooring Discount Center. We had a lot of work done including: demo of a load bearing wall old floor demo and kitchen and bathroom gut new floors in 90% of the house and baseboards new kitchen basically (cabinets and counters and sink) new bathroom (tile, vanity, tub) The work was done well within budget and within timeframe quoted. I've heard horror stories of things taking weeks longer but the last few days were slower but 90% of the work was done by then. I love how everything turned out, pretty much exactly what we wanted. They itemize everything for your quote and super reasonable. Also the quality of our cabinets are great, plywood (not MDF or particle board) boxes, dovetail drawers, and soft close hinges/drawers. Granite and quartz were the exact color we wanted. What I would recommend for anyone doing this type of project is COMMUNICATION and being able to be around to answer any questions as you go along and being abreast of things start to finish. Mario was great, always easy to get ahold of. They're pretty busy at the store and with other jobs, but as long as you keep a list, be organized, any remodel will go a bit smoother. This is by far the best vendor I've ever worked with during any remodel. Not only is the quality of our new floor amazing, but the prices were very reasonable. The owner called me multiple times after I purchased to make sure everything was going well, see if I had any questions, ensure the floors were in good shape and to see if there was anything else he could help with. The owner also went out of his way to come to the store early a few times for us to pick up more material. If I could give negative stars I would. Avoid this company at all cost. We purchased laminate and scheduled stair install with Jeff. They rescheduled delivery 3x and on installation day were a no show no call. Our banister guys were then delayed. Once we finally got the installers out the next week, the price increased by over $1000. Needless to say we ended up not using them for install. The owner Edmund tells you what you want to hear then does not deliver. He has no concept of what it means to run a professional business. Customer satisfaction does it come first. This is my first negative review posted on Yelp, but I'm hoping to save someone the trouble of dealing with these guys and experiencing the same grief that we did. read more

Cheap affordable company. Edmond is a pretty chill dude to do business with. The only issue that I had with them was meeting deadlines.They need to work on professionalism and punctuality. It took them exactly 6 days to install laminate in a 2400 sqft flooring coverage when it could have been done in 3 days. They started on Monday and finished in Saturday. We lived without flooring for two nights because the installation team decided to demolish everything and took a day off to go work on another project. Materials were not delivered on time due to the holidays and poor coordination. The installation team was not very professional when dealing with us. The house was a mess during the installation process--horrible experience. The installation team didn't cover things up well so we ended up with dust everywhere. We hired a professional cleaner to do deep cleaning after the project is completed. On a good note. When the job was completed, the house looks miraculous! The installation team did a thorough job albeit the cleanliness and punctuality. 4 stars for pricing and Edmond's customer services. 4 stars for the installation. 0 star for the execution of the job. 1 star for the professionalism of the installation team. 5 stars for the installation. read more

Just completed a home renovation project in Cypress and I had FDC to laminate entire home. Edmond came to give me an estimate and his price was very reasonable. He is a very friendly guy to work with and was able to start the work within couple of days notice. His crew Alex and Ramirez came on time in the scheduled day and immediately jumped into the job. Fast forward approximately 4 years and FDC is installing my marble flooring for my second home. Edmon and the fellas also recommended a crazy water damage resistant vinyl flooring that looks hotter than the Buckingham Palace.
