Came here as I wanted to try another Mexican restaurant in the Palm Desert area that wasn't my favorite one. Got a carne asada taco, al pastor taco, and fish taco. The food was solid, but not spectacular as I would've believed based on the reviews. Don't get me wrong, it was still good. Just didn't have all the flavor that I was expecting. Service was fine, no issues with me here. Worth a shot, but I still think I prefer my other Mexican spot. read more

After driving in the heat in the car, I wanted something to snack on but nothing too much. It's bad when you are slightly hungry but don't know what you want to eat. We saw this place and I thought of taco would be good. The staff were really nice and said that everything is good to eat. I ordered a chicken street taco. The taco was freshly made. It sort of fell apart as I was eating it. It needed a utensil to eat it and it was pretty tasty. It was plenty for what I wanted. Parking lot in center. read more

My fiancé and I came here after I read the good reviews about the place. But honestly I couldn't tell you what these people were talking about or how they could consider this restaurant 3+ stars. It was an extremely watered down Mexican restaurant, the food was mid and none of it felt authentic at all. Although not every Mexican restaurant can be up to par with real Mexican authenticity, as someone who's had my fair share of different Latino restaurants all through southern states and down in Mexico, this has to be one of the worst. As for the service, the young lady was nice but she seemed pretty distracted and inattentive to her tables. She took too long to give us the check and even took long to pick up the check and return our change. The place looked pretty nice overall, I like the extensive windows and the patio (not usable during Summer. Iykyk.) P.S. Don't order a piña colada, it's like asking for a sprite slushee. read more

So... it was a great experience the music is nice tv's with soccer and basketball ball and the food was pretty good the olny thing is I would say is that the cheese Quesadillas had to much cheese I got the virgin pína Calada and wee got the corn it was alright the restaurant came with chips the where really why. To sum it all up the experience was great the food was pretty good and the drinks where good would recommend coming if your in Palm Springs. read more

Flor De Jalisco was an amazing experience. The very BEST Mexican food I have ever had in Southern California! I have tried five menu items to date and they have all been over-the-top delicious and served HOT, not lukewarm like some other places. The ambiance is like that of a restaurant charging much, much more. It is cozy in size, but comfortable enough to stretch your legs. The outdoor patio is also quite nice. The owner is often present and so friendly and accommodating. He is truly a joyful person and it permeates the entire place, even when he's not there. I hope every person passing through Bermuda Dunes gets a chance to stop in and experience this wonderful place. read more

Customer service was rushed, although very friendly, but he was the only one working like a whirling dervish. Ordered the Guacamole. It was lacking flavor (salt) but was fine. I ordered the one item Chile relleno with rice and beans. I really wish they had a few more selections for their combinations, such as Chile relleno and taco. So I ordered an à la cart taco as well as the one Chile relleno. The cheese Chile relleno was excellent. Loved their red sauce on top. So flavorful. Also the taco was great. The ambience was nice. We sat outside for a party of six and it was perfect. All six of us had decided that we would definitely return. read more

Had lunch for the first time and will definitely be back! The service was fast and super friendly! Most importantly the food was great and reasonably priced. I had the shrimp, avocado and bacon tacos and they were delicious! My friend had two beef tacos and hers was delicious as well. Would definitely go back. Located in a shopping strip, the ambiance isn't really there. It wasn't very busy so we were seated immediately. Service is fast. The chips and salsa are pretty mid and tasted like it came straight from a jar. The steak fajita Chile relleno was very salty without any flavor. The only good thing is the meat wasn't chewy. The beans were liquid soup and the rice was bland. My brother had the enchilada and burrito combo and he also said there wasn't any flavor. Sadly would not recommend and won't be back. read more

This place is amazing. Ordered a bunch of entrees including steak fajita with chili relleno and chicken mole. The steak was high quality and juicy. Mole dish had an authentic taste and the chicken was done right. I had to thank Chef Riley for the tasty entrees. The space was clean. The owner did a great job selecting original furniture artwork from Mexico. Staff were inviting and attentive. Great job guys! Looking forward to coming back. read more

We just purchased our second home in Palm Desert. My wife and and I have been coming to Palm desert for 24 years and have tried many different places. Some are good but expensive some aren't good. I don't have enough wonderful words to describe our amazing experience at Flor de Jalisco!! The food is cooked to perfection, the flavors are off the chart, no detail is missed in the beautiful presentation, & the service is outstanding (especially the lovely and energetic owner who is always there to greet you with a ginormous smile!!)! For an authentic Mexican dish that taste like your abuela made it, this is the hidden place. Every time I'm in the area this is one of the first places I go too. Start off with an Blended or Frozen margarita watch out they sneak up on you. I've yet to find nothing on the menu that is not to love the flavors pop in your mouth but you definitely need to top any dish off with a taco they leave wanting more. The staff and owners are friendly and very personable. Agree with these reviews. This is authentic Mexican! Great flavor. The frozen margaritas were good. We sat on the patio, which was shaded so it wasn't too hot. Service this day was lacking. Waitress didn't seem that friendly, but overall a great experience. read more

Would I go back? ..... yes, definitely. The food was good. They aren't trying to reinvent the wheel here. Their menu is full of the standards, and It appears they do them well. I had a combination plate with a shredded beef crunchy taco, and a chicken enchilada. Both were tasty, and the rice and beans were spot on. Good service. Attentive and quick without hovering. I was there for lunch, and there were several tables occupied which is always good sign, but there was a few vacant tables so I was able to sit immediately. read more

My daughter and I stood at the entrance for several minutes without being greeted. During that time, the manager was visibly overwhelmed and speaking harshly to the young hostesses, who appeared uncomfortable and trying to maintain composure. Despite this, no one acknowledged us until I offered a friendly "Happy Cinco de Mayo," at which point a hostess kindly stepped in to seat us. Unfortunately, the situation escalated. Twice, as we were being seated, the manager abruptly intervened -- placing reserved signs down and yelling at the hostess, myself and daughter we could not sit there. His tone was harsh, dismissive, and unnecessarily confrontational. This happened two times at two different tables that we were escorted to by the hostess and in front of my young daughter. Needless to say it was both uncomfortable and humiliating. I have never experienced a restaurant manager behave with this level of disrespect toward a guest, especially a woman with her child. I felt embarrassed and heartbroken that my daughter had to witness this. When I calmly approached him to understand the situation, he responded by stating they had "400 reservations," followed by dismissive and aggressive body language that made it clear we were not welcome. The interaction ended with us leaving and both tears. My daughter said "I'm scared mommy, why was that man so mean". A guest from the restaurant who was dinning and witnessed the incident came out just to see if we were ok. Equally concerning was how he treated his own staff, especially female staff setting a negative and unprofessional tone throughout the front of house. As someone from a fourth-generation family in the restaurant industry, I find this especially disheartening. I would be deeply concerned if any manager in our organization treated a guest or employees this way. I understand holidays are demanding, but being busy does not excuse a lack of basic respect and professionalism. I am sharing this in hopes that upper management addresses this directly. No woman / person and her child should have to experience this kind of treatment.

The waitstaff was great efficient, attentive and made sure we were happy. And were they hustling! Busy place and they didn't miss a thing. I will start off by saying that the food wasn't bad. I got the Minerva burrito with chicken and my lady got the tostada grande for a total of $31. My initial reaction was whoa because the menu on yelp listed the items for approximately $11 each but when I arrived to pick up my carry out order was told that they were each $14. This being my first time I shrugged and thought to myself "better be good". When I got home I opened my burrito and found no rice and beans even though it says all burritos served with rice and beans on the menu. I called and was told that for this burrito the rice and beans are inside... lame. The tostada grande looked impressive in the tortilla bowl but was was lack luster and not worth the cost. Yelpers seem to rave about this place but having lived in California for over a decade in many different locations I can honestly say that it ranked 3 star mediocre read more

I have traveled to many places and tried their chilled rellenos from Yucatán Playa del Carmen , Mexico DF , Guadalajara Jalisco , Baja California Sur and Baja California Norte and I have never had a better Chile relleno. This was great in taste , presentation, texture , color and all of the above. You have to try this Chile relleno when you check this place out. The agua de Jamaica was actually real Jamaica not that sugar crap you find all across the valley. 10/10 with service , taste and location. read more

I recently had the pleasure of doing a takeout order from Flor De Jalisco and I must say, I was thoroughly impressed! The guacamole was fresh and bursting with flavor, and the enchiladas were truly excellent - stuffed with deliciously seasoned chicken and topped with a mouth-watering red sauce. We came to celebrate my daughter's great accomplishments of graduating. We were greeted and could sit anywhere. The owner was super nice and explained a lot of the plates. A warm La Quinta evening, desert air finally cooling off, a solid live duet working the patio with the kind of soundtrack that should make mediocre food taste better than it is. For a few minutes, you think maybe this place is going to deliver on the promise. Then the flamingo arrived. Or at least that's what the bright pink polo shirt on our server suggested. Somewhere between Palm Springs golf tournament and poolside timeshare mixer, the uniform choice set the tone immediately: completely off-brand for a resort carrying the La Quinta name. To her credit, the server herself was pleasant enough. But pleasant is table stakes at a resort property. Competence, polish, awareness, that's what people are paying for. The twenty-ounce margaritas landed with all the sophistication of a fraternity mixer. Sweet, forgettable, and somehow both weak and aggressive at the same time. I've had better drinks poured into Solo cups at parties where the furniture was stolen from somebody's dorm room. Then came the food. The chips tasted stale, like they'd spent the afternoon losing a slow battle with desert air. The ceviche? Rubbery and tired. Seafood should taste alive. This tasted like it had already accepted its fate hours earlier. Sylvia ordered the Caesar salad, and it looked exactly like what it was: something assembled without care, without attention, without anybody stopping for even a moment to ask whether it represented the standards of a resort restaurant. She barely made it halfway through. Oddly enough, the lone bright spot was my chicken enchiladas verde. Solid. Comforting. Not life-changing, but at least prepared by someone who appeared interested in their job that evening. But the real problem at Adobe Grill isn't the food. Restaurants recover from mediocre dishes all the time. The real problem is culture. Or more accurately, the complete absence of one. The food runner couldn't answer even the simplest questions. The service staff moved with that unmistakable energy of people who were never properly trained because nobody above them really cared enough to train them. Empty plates sat on the table for what felt like half the night. Nobody cleared them. Nobody reset or groomed the table. Crumbs, empty glasses, dirty dishes, they just accumulated while the evening slowly unraveled. At a place carrying the La Quinta name, that level of inattentiveness is stunning. And then the manager arrived, or more accurately, drifted by. No eye contact. No engagement. No sincerity. Just a quick pit stop at the table to perform the illusion of management before immediately turning away and loudly shouting to another group thirty feet off as though we had already ceased to exist. That moment explained the entire restaurant. Because once you start looking closer, you see it everywhere. Bird droppings baked into chairs and railings long enough to become part of the décor. Neglected details. Deferred maintenance. Staff operating without direction. A restaurant surviving almost entirely on atmosphere and location while slowly forgetting hospitality itself. And that's the frustrating part. The bones are there. The patio. The music. The desert night. This place should be magical. Instead, it feels like a resort coasting on reputation while the little things, the things that actually matter,quietly fall apart in plain sight. And honestly, the restaurant may not even be the biggest issue. But that's a whole separate review.
