This place reopened and I had been wanting to try it. When I finally did, first impression when I went in was why does this place smell like a clean restroom. Not sure what they use to clean but please stop, it messes with the ambiance and appetite. We stayed and still ordered. I had the lechón asado and it was so good! The service was fast and friendly too. Plenty of parking. Glad we decided to stay. Would come back if I have a craving. read more

It's been quite while since my last visit. I heard the place burned down and they just barely reopened. The place looks great, I loved their decore. Waitresses friendly as always. The food it was amazing. I had the chicken with and avocado salad and omg it was so good just as old times. The mariquitas were good and crispy. Yo tuve una mala experiencia por que no pudieron separar el recibo para pagar cada quien su comida, y cobrando el 18% de propina que ni cuenta un plato de comida, que es por el servicio. First of all the waitress got the order wrong. The food was disappointing! Breaded Chicken : Not sure what types of bread crumbs but , the breaded chicken look like a pan cake.. the Chicken had a good flavor but was not crunchy . Beans lacked flavor need more sazon . Today, Wednesday 03/12/25 at approximately 06:30pm. I visit the Florida restaurant after the new remodel. The food was good, the only thing that I found is a hair on my appetizer mariquitas. I notified the waitress and showed her the hair, she didn't even say sorry. The food was ok, but at least it's not like the past before the remodel that the food arrived cold. The only thing they really have to work on is the customer service. They did not greet me at time of arrival, and kind of ignore me. Also at time of checking out, I said good bye, and again, the workers ignored me and all three waitress female looked at me as don't you dare come back. Staff really un-professional. read more

If you're looking for authentic Cuban food , this place is a hidden gem! The flavors were spot on everything tasted homemade and true to traditional Cuban recipes. I tried the lunch special and it was not only delicious but also a great deal for the price. Customer service was excellent friendly, fast, and attentive from the moment I walked in. Food was way too salty, sangria was too sweet and the fruit in it looked really old. We ordered kids nuggets and they placed it in front of a two year old scalding hot. Both plate and food were hot. They don't have high chairs. They have boosters but they recommended we put it in the booth. The booth dimensions are odd and uncomfortable, so we asked for a chair. We put the chair at the edge of the booth, but we had to keep moving it because of the odd set up of the tables. Hostess was blah, waitress wasn't all that better. This doesn't feel like a child friendly place, and the design of the place is more suited for two people, or four at most. Won't be coming back. read more

Great service and the restaurant has a great Cuban ambiance with nice decorative touches both inside and out. They offer a really nice variety of food and includes daily specials which offer a good sized meal at a reasonable price. We started with the Florida sampler appetizers and enjoyed each one. We each ordered a different meal so we could try the beef, pork and chicken and all tasted delicious. We came on Mother's Day weekend around 2 pm and it was busy. However we remained patient as we knew we were a big party of 7 for the place. I used to come here a lot before the reopening due to its yummy food. I was so excited to hear it was open again. Sadly, I was quite disappointed with the food. I had high hopes for the reopening of this restaurant because they did a great job with the remodel but unfortunately the food was a huge disappointment. The bistec empanizado was a huge let down. The portion was great but the real issue was the breading. It peeled off the entire steak. It literally peeled off as I cut through the steak. This is just poor technique, and subpar ingredients. In addition, It lacked flavor, crispiness, and the beautiful golden brown color you would expect from this dish. I can recommend the empanadas de pollo, very tasty fricassee. So much beautiful work was put into the dining room but I'm afraid the same can't be said for the kitchen that can't execute a simple bistec empanizado. read more

The best Cuban food in all of Los Angeles. Like many people, I was incredibly sad when I initially saw this place go two years ago and was pleasantly surprised to see it come back! I was worried about the quality of service and food not being the same after some time, but I'm happy to report that the quality is still incredibly tasty and the new design gives a much more modern ambience than before. The servers are always checking in and are incredibly polite. I will be coming back as much as possible! read more

Wouldn't recommend (especially) if you dont speak spanish or arent part of the Spanish/Cuban community.... Even if you are the food is a little less than mid. Wanted to like it because it's local... No hellos, No smile, No check up, no refills, didn't even come get the check. Left the cash on the table and left after watching her walk by us to attend to the people right next to us after at least a dozen times. They treat you like crap here and it seems to be an ongoing issue. Even the kids in our party felt her hostility, noting "thats rude". Pretty poor experience for the whole group and you couldn't pay me to come back. Never, not even of it were free. Any other company would make the necessary changes to make their company successful. The prices on the menu doesnt add up to the surge charge at the end. They say if you pay cash you get a 4 percent discount but when you pay your bill its different on the menu it states 17.95 for a bistec and when you pay theyre charging you 20.95 not the 17.95 with the added taxes. I've been to many Cuban restaurants and while some might be more pleasing to the eye than this spot they just don't compare in flavor. Aesthetics -4 stars -with every restaurant in these days they have outdoor dining which is really not the most ideal but that's expected with dinning during Covid Service-1star - this area is their weakness since there seems to have no sense of urgency. Our server never came by to ask if everything was okay he ignored us . Had to wave down another server to provide us with another drink . Which should not be the case. We also asked for a bread basket and they never brought it to us . Food-5 stars - this is what really matters and the most important part of dinning . We got Rabo encendido , vaca frita and ropa vieja . All three were full of flavor and just the way they'd Gould be you can taste the rich spices and tenderness of the meats in every bite. The Rabo is one of the best I've had . Recap- over all of they were to improve in service and probably update their decor once Covid is over Thai could be one of those wholes in the wall places that has long lines outside. We decided to give this restaurant another try since it's been newly remodeled. I could not remember why we never came back after the first time. The food is pretty good. We had bistec empanizado and vaca frita which was good. We've definitely had better. The restaurant is very modern. The pictures are beautiful. The service on the other hand is not good. Our waitress was rude and bothered that we needed extra items such as lemon and ketchup. She rudely asked us if we needed anything else. Then I remembered why we never came back, the service is bad.
