Anticuchos are the best you gonna get same as Perú , great seasoning.. also love the combination of Rachi and Pancita.. and to finish Picarones.. Best Mother's Day Service is the best makes sure you have everything you need, very kind and noble.. Ambiance is the cherry top, a great music and even have a nice decoration for Mother's day to take a picture. Have a parking inside very accessible. Recommended it.

The food was amazing had 4 plates here and all of them were great! My favorite being the ceviche! Also those picarones are pretty good, if you want dessert and like trying new foods go ahead and order these!

Food was delicious and the owner was so very nice to us and he was fun to talk to (in Spanish). My cousin and I are Peruvian and it tasted very authentic. Also all food was quick to arrive and we could see the progress of the kitchen from our table, which was fun for us. Service was very inviting and we felt treated like family.

Came here with my Peruvian friend. Love mom and pop shop hole in the wall authentic cuisine! I'm glad we came in a group to share different dishes and everything was so good! The beef heart and stomach was delicious. Their noodles and Lomo Saltado was really good. Everything was good.

This is a very authentic Peruvian restaurant. I ended up here by chance at the open of business and was welcome by the owner chef. I had the ceviche and the flavor was amazing! I decide to do a review since he was such a nice person and the prices needed to updated. A bit price but worth the taste.

Anticuchos, salsa, green sauce, papa a la huancaina and Inca Kola! Delicious

My family and I got some anticuchos from this restaurant and they were delicious!! I don't get anything else but anticuchos and papá a la huancahina here. Mario (owner) was so nice and joking around with us. We definitely had a good time. I will be back for more anticuchos 100% and the salsa! Yummmm

Lomo saltado y pollo saltado. Yum!

I always crave Peruvian food wherever I go! Good thing while I was in the La Mirada area this one popped up. I came in on a weekday afternoon for lunch and there was NO ONE there. The owner was sitting at a table and watching the TV by himself lol he was such a funny man. Environment - there's parking in the back if there aren't any parking spaces in the front. The restaurant itself is not that beautiful looking.. it's rather a hole-in-the-wall. But that's what makes food more "legit" and delicious right? Well anyways, there wasn't any air conditioning on but the owner/cook was very nice and placed two fans directly at our table. The decor is very cultured and I love it on the inside. Service - the owner/cook was working by himself that weekday afternoon and he's from Peru. He stated that his family was in the restaurant business and that's how he got started. He came to America and started this restaurant 18 years ago. He was so nice and I am a big fan of his personality and character. Food - legit all the way. The food was freshly made after we ordered. Lomo saltado and pollo saltado - nothing short of amazing. Although the rice was slightly hard, the overall dish was desirable and yummy. I would come here again simply to support the owner/cook and his family He was very personable and made this experience all the more enjoyable :)

We ordered the cerviche (Mixto Cebiche), soup (Chupa De Camarones), Arroz con Pollo, and Tallarín Verde w/ beef steak to share for two people. The mixed cerviche comes with big chunks of fresh halibut, and plenty of shrimp and octopus. The sour and tangy flavor is perfectly balanced the glazed sweet potato and Peruvian corn and corn nuts. Definitely a must-try if you like cerviche! The soup (Chupe De Camarones) has a thick and creamy (shrimp chowder) texture, with plenty of peas/carrots pieces, fried fish, and a scrambled egg on top. Very hearty and just perfectly seasoned. We ordered the regular size and the portion is plenty enough even for two people to share. The specialty courses Arroz con pollo (rice cooked with cilantro sauce with chicken) and the Tallarín Verde (pesto spaghetti/parmesan cheese with breaded beef steak) are just as delicious as all the other dishes. The pesto spaghetti is al dente, and the pesto flavor is just devine! If you like cilantro, you cannot go wrong with the Arroz con pollo. Both of these dishes come in big portions, plenty to share for two people. Good service as our waitress was very attentive. Great value considering the cost. Good atmosphere, and plenty indoor seating. Parking in front of the establishment can be crowded, but there are also plenty of parking spaces in the surrounding area. If you are craving for Peruvian food, this is the place to be! Also since this is family-owned, please come and support your local small businesses.

I let it go the first time when they got my order wrong and the tamales de pisque were super salty. Anyone can have an off day. The second time they got my order wrong again, but it was late and I didn't have the energy to make a fuss. However, tonight, they gave me the wrong pupusas and the platanos were burned. When I called back and politely let them know, the young lady on the phone seemed to be annoyed that I brought it up and dismissively told me to bring the food back. No basic courtesy, like we apologize for the inconvenience. When I got to the restaurant she rolled her eyes and took the food back in cold silence. The manager came out and again, no apology. I don't expect much, just basic recognition and common courtesy. I will not be eating here again and I caution you, that they do not value and respect customers enough to provide basic courtesy. **********+ Thank you, we appreciate your response and willingness to make things right. The only thing my wife and I ask is that you genuinely have a discussion with your employees and remind them that 99 percent of your customers are your neighbors, and we all want you to succeed. Here in Whittier, we have so many great dining options, so when we choose you, it means something. We will try again in a few months and we look forward to posting an update. Wishing you the very best. Sergio & Cristina

Upon first bite, I did not like the carne. IMO I don't like bell pepper and that's the first thing I tasted, so that overpowered my palate from being to taste the carne. My boyfriend however enjoyed it. He said it had good flavor and was tasty. We then tried the jamon y queso. My favorite of the 3 we tried and probably the only one I ate. I like ham and I like cheese so I enjoyed it. Since this was the only one I liked, my boyfriend let me eat all of this (since we were splitting it). I like the saltiness you get from the ham and the texture of the melted cheese makes the empanada melt in your mouth. I did not like the elote. I was expecting something different. And again I tasted bell pepper. My boyfriend ate this one. He said he likes how it had a lot of corn and there was some type of sauce inside that brought of the flavor which he enjoyed. The ambiance of where this is located is cool. It's located in the Steel Craft and we were there for the game so it has a great atmosphere.

Everything was absolutely delicious. The meats were grilled perfectly. The asada had a great char and was flavorful without being overly salty, and the shrimp were cooked just right -- tender with a nice smoky finish from the grill. The pupusas were clearly made fresh and full of flavor. The revuelta had that classic savory, cheesy richness, while the loroco pupusa had a unique, slightly floral earthiness that makes Salvadoran food so special. Both were comforting and satisfying. The horchata really stood out. It's different from Mexican horchata and has a nutty, deeper flavor profile with a strong black sesame note that was incredibly delicious and memorable. The maracuyá drink was bright, tangy, and refreshing -- a perfect balance to the richness of the food. Overall, every dish felt thoughtfully prepared and full of authentic flavor. Loroco Bistro is an easy recommendation if you're craving hearty, delicious Salvadoran food. Definitely coming back.
