This was a great spot to get dinner on our last night in Cocoa Beach. It's located in a plaza with Publix and lots of other businesses. The inside decor and ambiance do NOT match what it looks like on the outside! Upon walking in, it felt more upscale, had dim lighting, and almost a romantic feel to it. No complaints about that. Our server (I wished I remembered his name) was attentive, pleasant, and joked and interacted a lot with our 8 year old, which was nice. Our meals were good, too. I had the salmon, husband had a pasta dish, and son had the truffle lobster mac and cheese, hold the truffle and lobster. As someone always looking for a meal that is high quality, I know how difficult it can be to find something suitable in Cocoa Beach and the surrounding areas. In fact, outside of Florida's Fresh Grill, I don't know that there *is* anything of this caliber when you're looking for a nice meal in Cocoa Beach. This restaurant is seafood-forward. Their menu has changed slightly over the years, but everything on it is done very, very well. The seafood is fresh and local. The service is great and the manager made a point to greet and check on every table while we were there. The restaurant does have limited seating and their reputation is well-known so do expect to wait for a table. They offer "call ahead" seating, but that process was very confusing and only offered a very late table when we called, so I'm not sure how that can be well taken advantage of. I do wish they used a service such as Resy or OpenTable instead. My only real complaint, other than the headache of making a reservation through their antiquated process, is that I feel the prices are rather high for what you get. I am always willing to pay more for a quality experience and I do feel that's what you get here, but I do also feel that the prices are still very above average, especially when compared to far nicer establishments in other cities. It's definitely worth a visit if you haven't dined here yet, but be mindful of the planning in advance that you will need to do and the price shock when you get there. read more

We are in town for a few days and tried the Florida Fresh Grill last night. It is basically in a strip mall but that seems to be the norm for this area. Any place with beautiful views tends to be more bar like. I would say our experience was "Meh". The Maine fish Grouper was very good but the sides honestly were yuck! They are trying to be too fancy. My wife said it is unheard of for me to leave food on my plate but I left both the Mashed Potatoes and the green beans. They were so overpowering in taste I could not enjoy the grouper. Came here for dinner as one of our stops on a short weekend vacation, and we noticed this restaurant from staying at one of the hotels across the street. The inside ambiance was cozy and dimly lit, but you could still navigate through the restaurant easily. It was a Monday night, so it was populated but not too busy, so we were able to be seated right away. Costa was our server, and he was incredibly friendly and very knowledgeable, and he helped us navigate through the menu easily especially as one person in our party was gluten intolerant. We got the ahi tuna starter, which was incredibly fresh, tasty, and delicious and a perfect beginning to the meal. Chilean sea bass with lemon caper sauce (10/10, the fish was cooked to perfection and was so juicy, the sauce just added the perfect bold flavor to compliment it), the crab cakes with lobster bisque side (I appreciate SO MUCH that the crab cakes were basically 95% crab and 5% filler, they still held together well but you got so much more crab meat than any other crab cake I've had. The lobster bisque, like the crab cakes, were a 10/10 as well. It was so flavorful and creamy, with some good chunks of lobster in the soup. It made the garlic bread we also got that much better by extension.), and the shrimp & scallops with mango salsa (both the shrimp and scallops were cooked perfectly, and the mango salsa was light and refreshing and paired perfectly with the seafood). The desserts we took to go, and they were a great end to the meal and a great end to the day. The Key Lime Pie was the best I have ever had. I never realized you could have key lime pies that didn't taste like you were licking Pennie's (that weird metallic zing). My Mahi Mahi and Chef's Choice vegetables (summer squash medley) were both a bit under seasoned, and were only redeemed by a copious amount of added salt and the Oscar Style sauce that came with this fantastically tangy and sweet lumps of crab. For the price of a meal here I would certainly expect the entrees to be better executed and more flavorful. read more

My wife and I ate dinner here this evening. We sat outside in the front. The view of the parking lot wasn't ideal, but they have potted trees placed around the area. Like others have said, the interior of this restaurant is very dark. The watermelon Mojito and margarita were both were very good, although the margarita was small. The Corvina (with bacon cream jalapeño sauce) and garlic mashed potatoes were excellent. So was the mahi-mahi. The pasta salad side was also very good. We cleaned our plates. Highly recommend. The food was great and fresh. At 5pm on a Saturday I was seated immediately and placed my order shortly after. It was a cool evening so decided on eating outside. See attached pics. Inside is very nice but less chatter when you sit outside. The seafood tower is yummy and healthy. French bread with seasoned butter was good, but not good enough for seconds. Dinner entree was excellent. Shelly's chicken as it was called came with cubed pumpkin squash seasoned for the holidays and just melts in your mouth. No leftovers so skipped the to go box. Service. Waitress was Wanda and she was wonderful and kept checking on me for anything and a few refills. The hostess and manager also made the rounds to visit as well. It's no wonder they are number 1 in the area according to trip advisor. Music. For some reason they did have Alvin and the chipmunks playing, but wasn't a holiday song. We just returned from a wonderful Christmas Eve dinner at Florida's Fresh Grill. When we arrived, the restaurant was quite busy both inside & out, and we had not done "call ahead seating," but as luck would have it, a table was available and we were seated immediately. Our waitress Wanda quickly appeared and filled us in on how the menu worked and showed us the specials. We ordered our beverages off the featured beverage list. Our drinks quickly appeared, the Maple Old Fashioned Cherry Pie with extra cherries for me, & the Gingerbread Espresso Martini for the hubs. Our young one went for a lemonade. Both of the bar drinks were strong, & wonderful, and the Martini was unique. We placed our appetizer order, the Avocado Crab Tower, and then hot bread and butter was brought to the table. The bread was garlicky with Parmesan, delicious! We requested a second loaf as my daughter loved it and ended up eating 1.5 loaves herself. The Avocado Crab Tower was large, delicious, and I could have easily made a meal out of it. It's a definite don't skip! For dinner the three of us enjoyed a large Caesar Salad, the Swordfish with Mango Salsa, garlic mashed potatoes, & the veg of the day, a sweet butternut squash, also the Ocean Mixed Grilled Shrimp & Sea Scallops with Jalapeño Bacon Cream Sauce, herbed rice & the butternut squash. Hubs also added a Chocolate Martini. Once we finished the appetizer, Wanda quickly delivered our hot, perfectly cooked meals, along with a fresh lemonade for my daughter. While we were eating Wanda checked in on us a couple of times to make sure all was okay, which it was. The Manager also stopped over to check on things. Everyone was very attentive but not intrusive. After my drink and sharing the Avocado Crab Tower, I barely made a dent in my meal. Wanda boxed it up for me, and I'm looking forward to delicious leftovers tomorrow. Even though we were all full, it is Christmas Eve, so we went for dessert. My daughter enjoyed a large bowl of Vanilla Ice Cream and hubs and I went for a shared Carrot Cake. I had a decaf coffee which was nice and strong, and hubs was served a beautiful Cappuccino with a rock candy stirrer. I managed one bite of the Carrot Cake and it was delicious. Hubs ate about half of it, so Wanda packed up what remained and we'll enjoy it tomorrow when we're not so full. The restaurant was busy as it is Christmas Eve, but Wanda was on top of everything and our food and beverages were absolutely perfect. Next time we're in this area we will definitely make a return visit and hopefully Wanda will be our waitress again ;) read more

Our experience at Florida Fresh Grill was one of the best nights I've ever had in my life! It started with the friendly greeting from the host stand. We waited about 10 minutes for a table, but the environment was so great we enjoyed the time! After we sat down, we were welcomed in by our server, Siobhan, who we bombarded with questions about the menu. The way she described everything made my mouth water and want to try everything on the menu! We started with the avocado tower and a round of drinks. I had the sangria and my fiancé had a Moscow mule. Both were phenomenal! The avocado tower was beautiful. When we took our first bites, flavor erupted in our mouths! We devoured that in about 5 minutes and then the lovely Siobhan brought us some of the best bread either of us have ever had in our lives. We asked our server to take a picture of us and she took the time to make the table perfect for the photo! The entrees were honestly the best seafood I've ever had. I ordered a fish I had never heard of (lol) and my fiancé had the swordfish. I also had the scallops with bacon jalapeño sauce and not to be dramatic but this sauce was the best sauce ever!!!! We passed on dessert because we were so full, but I finished the evening with an espresso martini. I've eaten here twice now and overall the food is just okay. If you've been out on the beach and in the water all day, starving, the food will probably hit the spot--but it's not anything to write home about. The fish was decent, but the lobster mac and cheese was a miss. I'm used to a thick, creamy mac and cheese, and this one was more of a watery mess that barely tasted like cheese. The noodles were also undercooked and a bit too firm. Response to business: I don't eat box Mac n Cheese, but your plate of it was very runny and soupy. Don't know why you'd call it macncheese. Also, what do you have to say about the undercooked pasta that was hard? Stuff was terrible. On a positive note, I did enjoy the key lime pie. It was creamy, not too tart, and definitely the highlight of the meal. read more

Florida's Fresh Grill is everthing they claim to be and more. Cocoa Beach has many touirst traps. This is not one of them. The fish truly is fresh and delicious. Service was good even though our server was a bit too fake. That purposeful high pitched voice is noticable. Being yourself is much better. That being said, there wasn't a minute that we didn't have our drinks refilled. The calamari was exvellent. This was not frozen, It was plentiful and came with two delicious sauces. Get this appetizer! It is better than 90% of the calamari I've had out there. The Chilean Sea Bass was perfectly seasoned and perfectly cooked. I am hungry just thinking of this plate. The green beans were the perfect side. I would skip the couscus next time. They were kind to bring me more green beans. I'm coming back here whenever I am in the area. I really wanted to try the signature salad, so I ordered that with seared Ahi add on. it was really yummy, except the tomatoes, weren't quite right, but luckily I had some grape tomatoes with me so I swapped them out. Note to chef, those tomatoes they send you are lovely but tasteless. Sunseed co-op has great ones. The grilled grouper was very tasty. Appreciated the sauce selections included in the entree price. Tried both the lemon butter and the bacon cream sauces. Our server (the other Denise!) was fantastic. Could not have been more attentive and thoughtful to our needs. We inquired if FFG has other locations since we are heading to Ft Lauderdale, but you are one of a kind. I was in town for a couple days to help my cousin, Mike sort out a couple issues with his boat and, wanting to try a few restaurants that were new since my last visit, Florida's Fresh Grill stood out on the 'must-try' list. We were well rewarded from start to finish with an added bonus. Tuna tataki kicked off our evening meal and it was greatly appreciated by yours truly, a person who lived for many years in Japan and ate his fair share of tuna tataki. The deliciousness of this dish was surely down to sourcing very fresh tuna and an attentive hand when preparing. Plating was lovely as well. Mike has spent many years in Florida both as a resident and visitor and ordered grouper for a main course. He loved each and every bite. My call was the swordfish and allow me to write that is was grilled and plated to perfection. If there was one slight aberration to this lovely meal, it was the Baby Kale & Romaine mix Caesar salad. The greens were sparse and, frankly, a bit wilted. I do not eat key lime pie outside Florida and, as it happened, I was in Florida and happily ordered key lime pie. The pie was lovely and well served by a very tasty graham cracker crust. I discovered some days later in Huntsville, Alabama where we were attending my nephew's university graduation that I had misplaced (lost) my debit card. We figured out that I left card at Florida's Fresh Grill. This establishment's lovely manager, Riley located my card in the pile of forgotten cards and FedEx'd card to my home. What a bonus! When next I'm in Cocoa Beach I will happily return to Florida's Fresh Grill. read more

Pretty good seafood spot along A1A. The Grouper was cooked very well and was super flaky and fresh. Highly recommend getting some of their lemon butter on the side for extra goodness. I also had their Gumbo. It was a bit on the salty side, but had good flavor and spice overall. read more

I called at a busy time and I've never been put on hold so nicely! The same young man who took my call, Cory, greeted me when I arrived . He was every bit the professional. The perfect mix of gracious, polite, and kind. He assured me a table quickly. True to his word I was seated within a short time. I was there to spoil myself a bit so I ordered a grapefruit martini, Top Sirloin Oscar, plus Scallops and Shrimp added on, with smashed potatoes, and spaghetti squash with sage butter. Everything was super fresh, cooked as ordered, and delicious. The scallops were my favorite part of the meal. The atmosphere was loud and happy. They were busy. Service was great. This place never disappoints! I have been at least 10 times since I moved to Brevard and I look forward to my next visit each time! It's definitely a good idea to make reservations if you have more than just a few people... With that being said they're always extremely accommodating! The staff has always been pleasant, knowledgeable, and goes over multiple mouth watering specials in great detail. The sauces I think are what make this place so popular. And no matter which one you get, you can never go wrong! Personally I'm obsessed with their bacon jalapeño cream sauce but all of the others I've tried have been equally as delicious. The calamari is super fresh and always has a good crisp. The atmosphere is romantic and even though they're typically pretty full, it's never too loud to have a conversation with the table you're with. read more
