Soggy chicken fried steak, bland biscuits and gravy, and some pretty awful pancakes
    Jenny Y.

They're so nice here but the food really falls short. Chicken fried steak was soggy, gravy was bland, and their iced tea tasted a bit weird. Their pancakes weren't good at all either. This place is definitely patroned by the locals. I wish the prices were better for being so far from the freeway but it felt pretty standard at a little under $20 for a chicken fried steak breakfast. Their sandwiches might be better than their breakfast items, that seemed like what of the majority of other tables were ordering.

Food is healthy and fresh; served quickly and with a friendly smile! Ambience? Down-Home country-good... Just like the southern cooking in George & Alabama. Deelicious!

    French toast combo

Came here this morning with my partner and wanted to give it a try. We came and were sat quickly. The waitress was really nice, took our order, and checked up on us frequently. I ordered the French toast combo with bacon and added hashbrowns and a cup of gravy on the side. The bacon was crispy, French toast was nice and fluffy, and the hash browns were delicious with gravy on top! I was impressed by the portion size as well. My partner ordered country fried steak combo with his biscuits and grave SOS style. He really enjoyed it and recommends those who love this style of gravy to come try it. FYI this place gets packed! We came around 8:45ish when there wasn't many people around but when we left it was around 9:30 and it was packed. This place gives of homey vibes, I highly recommend it!

The options in the buffet were sweet potatoes, zucchini, asparagus, mashed potatoes, chicken fettuccine alfredo, bacon brussel sprouts and a cut of steak. All of the items except for the steak were delicious. Everything was well seasoned. My favorites were between the mashed potatoes, fettuccine alfredo or the bacon brussel sprouts. The steak was dry and needed a lot of sauce. It was tender but dry at the same time. I wouldn't recommend ordering that. Everything else was good. We were also served dessert. There were two options: creme brulee and cherry pie. Both were absolutely delicious and weren't too sweet either which is what I enjoyed! Service was excellent. Our servers were attentive and cleared plates out of our way. The restaurant has plenty of seating and has an old ranch vibe to it. A lot of wooden interior. The outside was beautiful and had a big beautiful yard with a nice view of the mountains. A nice spot for a dinner date!

When I…read moreexplained they were not allowed to force me outside because he was a service dog, they segregated me into an empty closed off area of the restaurant. That is not acceptable either. Really left me with me a bad taste and by the time they finally were going to seat me in the regular part of the restaurant I was done with it all, and left. To the establishment, I really recommend looking up how to properly treat people with legit service animals. What you're doing is not just distasteful, it is illegal. Came looking for a great steak and great service, and left with less faith in humanity.

Fig and lavender infused (LI) goat cheese pizza was excellent. LI mixed drinks were very good, but the LI beer was a bit of a let down. Sour type beer is fine but lacked any lavender smell or taste. Maybe expecting too much. Advice- Use the washrooms in/by the old hotel lobby, avoid the ones on the side of building with the large Pennants saying 'restrooms.'...they are old hotel rooms with storage boxes all over. Note main food vendors by the music stage area but there are boutique vendors at one side of venue by the hotel, with the LI teas, coffees, ice cream etc. Most sell the same stuff ( teas, jams, olive oils, creams, lotions, nic-nacs, etc). Will go back again.

I'm sure a lot has been said already about HIGHLAND SPRINGS' FESTIVAL OF LIGHTS so I'll try not to bore you with a long and lengthy "this is what you can find here". I will try to give some tips though. - Come early. Yes, even before the lights turn on. This is beneficial for avoiding traffic, getting good parking spots, shorter food lines, shorter bathroom lines. - Get your food first. So you can walk off the calories. Also, because most people eat after an activity when they get hungry... and then the line will be super long. - Get whatever lavender they have. Hot cocoa, Latte... - Reserve a s'mores pit. When it's cold, it's the best. - Take pictures of everything everywhere. We consumed the following and they were GREAT! - Smoked Brisket Poutine - Clam Chowder in a Bread Bowl - Lavender Latte - Lavender Hot Chocolate

It was good... I ordered the whisky in the jar burger with fries and an Ice tea.. It was a decent burger.. The toppings were tasty, the burger patty itself was a struggle for flavor.. The fries where piping hot and crispy. The fries were actually really good.. They had a nice coating and crisp to them.. I also had an ice tea (brewed ice tea) and it was refreshing for a hot day.. I was in there early for lunch so there wasn't very many people inside.. My server was very friendly and attentive.. The restaurant was clean and the restrooms were as well.. Would I come back? Yes.. I stood inside for 4-5 minutes without seeing anyone that worked there. So I went to the side of the kitchen where there was a door and saw someone in there. I peaked inside and said hello, and this female staff member lost her marbles and basically said how unacceptable it was that I did that and basically chased me out of the restaurant. I only did that because we had my 83 year old handicap grandfather and our small dog with us on a hot day so I was hoping to just get some water for both of them. Instead she continued to have the worst attitude I ever experienced from a restaurant staff member. To the owners, I highly recommend you watch tape of her attitude towards me, and watch my poor grandfather have to hobble out of your establishment due to your terrible employee. She claimed to be the only one working so it should be easy to figure out who she is, she didn't have a name tag on. She should be fired. We were there today, which is 6-1-26 at 11:40am if you have any aspiration to better your business, I encourage you to watch camera footage of her terrible attitude towards your customers. We'll never be back but you should honestly fire her.
