    Fried olives!! So good.

Loved being able to sit at the bar. Such a vibrant and good vibe on a Friday evening. The stuffed olives with goat cheese and a really good dipping sauce were the perfect way to start - glad we got to try these. The gluten free pasta with clams was also delicious. Love their take on the clam sauce on this dish - like a spicy olive oil with chili paste gave it a really good flavor. Garlicky too! My friend loved her pizza. Wish they had a gluten free option - maybe one day. We will be back again. Have to try some dessert next time!

The food is over priced and very very small portions. As you can see in the picture attached, this is a "full portion" that cost $25!! I am shocked and in disbelief that they can charge $25 for a pasta portion meant for a toddler. & when I went back in asking if this was a full portion she said "yes honey it is". Very disappointing. Also, adding a pic of the cold $25 pizza

We had heard really good things about the Moreland Hills Flour so we were excited one was opening a few minutes from us. We went on a Tuesday night. Ambiance is just okay. I guess it's meant to be a pretty casual place. They brought focaccia and olive oil to table. Focaccia was ok; olive oil was really good! Very peppery. We started with calamari. It was pretty heavily breaded and a little too chewy. We didn't finish it. I then ordered a sausage and mushroom pizza. It was very good but pretty salty. Mushrooms were awesome - not your usual white ones. My husband had the salmon which he said was very good. No side dish with it, those you order separately. Side note: for xmas eve we ordered their large pan of lasagna and everyone loved it. I wish this place was better. It's so close to us but I doubt we'll go back.

The Blanco Ember - try it! Yum!

Though there were pretty attentive when we first arrived, they quickly became distracted with other tables. We lost count how many times they passed us by when our water and cocktail glasses were empty (we were in the middle of their single path of travel). Cocktails were decent but their prices were proud; I would say the same for their small plate items. We were visiting from Dallas and paying $18 for a cocktail is a starting point there. Paying $18 in the back of a mercantile store with mediocre service, though the space was nice, was a stretch.

I did not expect it to be part of a large lifestyle center development. It has been open for a while, but there is still tons of building going on around. The entrance did not say Primer, instead it had a Canvas sign. That was confusing. When we first arrived there were not many people but after about 30 minutes more people arrived. The decor was cozy despite the coffee shop being very large. There were not many pastry choices. My guess it is much busier as a cocktail bar in the evenings.

When you walk into the apartment building, there is also a shared workspace there as well. So there were quite a few people there working and meeting. It was nice to see a hustle and bustle, but I felt almost like at a hotel conference or college campus or something! Ordering was a little tricky too, as you just go up to the bar an order. There's not like a designated place to order, as far as I could tell. So if the bar was all full, it would be really awkward to order for a coffee setting! There was only one person working, so service was really slow. Which I didn't mind, but I also wasn't there working! I wasn't quite sure where I could enjoy my coffee either, since I didn't want to be in the way of any of the shared working groups and meetings. My coffee was DELISH though! I had a hazelnut latte. It was so good! The barista was very nice too. And it's pretty cool that the place is a cocktail bar in the evenings too !

The booth I sat in was ran down, you shouldn't sink into the booths when you find that perfect "@ss spot" being used for over 5 years. (Pet peeve of mines, this is why I hate booths). The menu is sort of all over the place with no cohesiveness. The price points for the quality and quantity is off for me, way off. I wanted the wedge salad but was told they have no ranch... "how don't you have ranch" I ordered the chicken piccata, it was nothing to write home about. Strike two when the waiter asked did I "need any salt and pepper, hot sauce". (Eyebrow raise, hot sauce!?!?) They warmed the frozen chicken breast up nice. The sauce was good but a burnt flavor lingered. Not sure if it was the sauce or the burnt vegetables. The mashed potatoes were congealed and flavorless. After I found a dime sized black flat ball of something in the mashed potatoes I had enough. I looked at all the beautiful dishes on yelp before I came here. ***WARNING*** if you don't see good pics and reviews within 10 months or so old, DONT DO IT! I can imagine the locals are helping to keep this place alive...

We were seated quickly and I was looking forward to a good meal, but alas, that was not to be. After taking our drink order the server told us that there would be: A 20% gratuity automatically added to the bill (fine, it's to be expected), and there would be a 3% surcharge if you paid with anything other than cash (ugh) and oh yeah, they won't split the check. We should just pick somebody to pay the whole check and we could "just Venmo them" (and I guess, figure out a way to also split the 3% surcharge). Can't get around the surcharge as no one I know walks around with hundreds of dollars in their wallet, of course. None of this information is mentioned on their website or their socials or Open Table. It made for an ugly and embarrassing surprise,to say the least. Anyway, we all were shocked by that last item so we told the server we'd pay for our drinks but we were leaving. I'm a big supporter of independent restaurants but this ridiculous policy is incredibly alienating. So, birthday dinner plans ruined we made do with a local chain around the corner. Food was so so but at least they were pleasant, professional and accommodating for our large party. We tipped accordingly.
