It took me years to find a plumber and I found Alec by chance -- he was doing work for my neighbor and I approached him. In fact, I think he only accepted my "small job" because he did a big one for the neighbor. In any case, Alec is a super nice and approachable guy. In addition, he is quick responding via email or calling (translation: reliable). Just as important, Alec is a pro: he came, he looked, he committed, and he returned ready to do the work. His approach to the job is methodical and his execution impeccable -- he was using the level tool to make sure the shower arm was straight. Visually it was, but he used the tool! He never seemed rushed and tested the repair done. I must say I am stoked beyond belief: the improvement in functionality as well as aesthetics is night an day. I was really afraid we would have to pull out the tub and tear the whole bathroom apart to access the leak and he managed to repair it with just small hole in the wall that can be easily covered. We had a very slow shower leak that was challenging to diagnose and fix. Alec was the second plumber to come to the house (the first one gave up and could not figure it out). We had a 20-year old Delta shower. Alec was extremely patient in dealing with them until he got to the bottom of the part that we needed (and as we now know has been discontinued). He and I worked as a team to find the part all over town (and online). He's been nothing but amazing and very responsive to the process even though it was around the holidays. He was flexible in accommodating us with our schedules as it took several house visits to finally get our shower working. His demeanor makes you want to be his friend.
