Was really excited to try this place, but was super disappointed. We had turkey chopped salads and 2 sangrias. The bill was over $50. This is a walk up counter with service to your table. It was a bit too hot outside and a bit too cold inside. No big deal on that. Food quality: just not great. No special flavor to boast of - actually quite bland. We came during the soft opening but despite the crowd, service was lovely and efficient. I was impressed that this new location was on par with all the others that I love because sometimes new locations of restaurants can be disappointing. My favorite bowl: Mother Earth was made perfectly and the Cam Johnson power bowl (no longer available due to him bein traded from the Phoenix Suns :(but could be ordered(salmon antree with mac and cheese and roasted broccoli I've been wating to try was felicious as ever! Good lord I just paid $20 for a bottle of soda and a salad. Geesh. The place is really cute. All healthy options. Love that. Comfortable seating. Indoor outdoor options. My salad was yummmm. The Mac and cheese was gluten free. Great to have that option. Now I know what gluten free noodles taste like. Interesting. Staff was great. Super friendly and on top of it. Perfect location, love the outside patio area (w/ heaters in winter). Staff is very friendly. We got the seasonal Butternut Squash lasagna (you wouldn't know it has no pasta) and one of the bowls with tofu. They have wine and beer (cans and draft). I am a give it a second try kind of customer. My first experience I had ordered online for curb side pick up. I followed the app and let them know I was on my way. When I got there I let them know I was there waiting in a curbside parking spot. 15 minutes goes by I decide to call. I selected curbside with automated recording and it went directly to a busy signal and hung up on me twice. By this time 30 minutes of my lunch hour is wasted. So I get out of my car and walk in to pick up my order. Although they apologized a couple of times I'm still irritated that their online curbside order service failed me and cost me 45 minutes of my lunch with only 15 minutes to scarf it all down before clocking back in. The food was good. I could also see they were busy at lunch time but not unbelievably busy. This was my first time seeing the inside as well and it has a nice appeal for dining, but that was not me. My recommendation would be to have one person on online orders available at all times to walk outside and deliver to curbside. Otherwise ditch the program cause it's a disappointment. read more

Flower Child Chandler is nice, healthy option right off the highway. There are a lot of seats and the food is always on point. The decor is lovely and the noise level is perfect. This would not be my favorite Flower Child (Gilbert) but it has the consistent food quality that I always find at Flower Child. My recommendations are the shrimp plate with cauliflower risotto and the Bird is the Word wrap. Both are delicious! I ordered the Moroccan soup with vegetable and chickpeas a few days ago. While it tasted good, it was also far too spicy hot. I took one spoonful and nearly started choking. My husband (who loves spicy food) took a bite and he said that the soup needed to come with a warning label because it was excessively spicy. Basically, I wasted $8 since I ordered online and the daily soups have no description other than the name. I hate spicy foods and I have a medical condition where I have to avoid foods this spicy due to erosion of the esophagus. The rest of my order was fine - I really liked the chicken enchiladas. Had a deeply disappointing experience at Flower Child Gilbert. Waited 45 minutes for a table despite being told it would be 15-20 minutes. When we were finally seated, our server seemed completely overwhelmed and forgot about us multiple times. The Mother Earth Bowl I ordered came out cold and the vegetables were clearly not fresh - the kale was wilted and brown in spots, and the sweet potatoes were undercooked. When I mentioned this to our server, they just shrugged it off without offering to fix it. For $16, I expected much better quality. My friend's Asian Garden salad was drenched in dressing to the point of being inedible, and they forgot her requested protein add-on entirely. The kombucha on tap was flat and warm. The space itself was unnecessarily loud with music blasting, making conversation difficult. Tables were sticky and hadn't been properly cleaned. For a place that promotes wellness and clean eating, the overall experience felt rushed and careless. Bill came to nearly $50 for two people and the quality absolutely didn't justify the price point. Love the somewhat crunchiness of the broccoli with the lemony sauce but lately it's been so inconsistent. This has to be the worst. I usually eat it a little burnt because it's not too bad but ALL of the broccoli tasted so BURNT like charcoal. I usually have pretty good experiences here, only order online for pickup. Typically I get the same thing every time - forbidden rice bowl with either salmon or steak. For the most part, it's pretty consistent, but I have noticed it tastes a bit different every time. I've noticed before options will randomly vanish off of the online ordering, as was the case last night. Therefore I was forced to get something I usually do not, so I ordered the salmon plate with sweet potato and sichuan green beans as a side. Something was way off, I don't think it was the salmon, although it could have been too - but the sauce the veggies were in did not taste right, like it was almost burnt. The sweet potatoes were still crunchy in spots and undercooked. Needless to say I am pretty sure I got some food-borne illness here as about 3 hours after eating this food I started having symptoms. Pretty sick all day. I have lost trust in this place which is really disappointing. UPDATE: manager called within 5 minutes of this review and did what he could to make it right. I was impressed with the swiftness of the response. I'd be willing to try them again because of this. read more

Close enough but not quite there yet. I can taste the close attempts of this chef to make the food taste like the real thing, but they still have some ways to go. I used to live by the location in 44th and camelback and used to eat there every other day. That place is truly delicious, I only hope that with enough practice, this one can eventually be in the same category. I'll be coming back to check if they do, because I really miss their food.
