I have even walked in, waited and learned my order was either given to another customer or stolen. I absolutely love flower child. However i typically go to a different location. i decided to come to this one because its closer to my house and it looks so cute. I always order the salmon, broccoli, and mac and cheese. The salmon was great and cooked perfectly but unfortunately I wasn't able to eat the rest of my meal all of the pasta was crunchy like it was not cooked all the way and same problem with the broccoli it was so hard and and difficult to chew. I was disappointed to have paid 17.73 for this meal. I am a college student so this is an expensive meal for me and i am just disappointed i wasted my money. read more

I ordered on Doordash. I got the Mother Earth bowl with steak. I am not a health food person. Normally, when a place says it is healthy, I kind of cringe. I am trying to eat healthier so I chose to order from Flower Child. OMG. The bowl is better than any "unhealthy" food I have had in a long time. The steak was cooked medium and was juicy and tender. The veggies were fresh and the sauce or whatever they use...or the combination of grains and cucumber was a flavor explosion. Every bite was amazing and a bit different from the last since each bite is a different mixture of all the yummies they put in there. Some bites were sweet from the sweet potatoes but some were tart from the Mediterranean veggies and grains. You get a lot of food for the price, too. I had leftovers and they were bomb the next morning. I just added and egg and put it all in a wrap. Two meals out of one and I will definitely be going back. Love this restaurant!! Went with my husband and my parents and we all loved it. My mom and I got the glow bowl with chicken and their seasonal peach passion fruit sangria. My husband got the gluten free Mac and cheese as well as their special, which was a shakshuka and my dad got the chicken enchilada and seasonal spiced apple blackberry sangria. Very fresh, healthy, satisfying food bursting with flavor. The glow bowl is spicy so be warned lol, but we loved the heat. Had a really good kick to it. Lots of options on the menu for those with intolerances and/or dietary preferences. Dishes are called out when gluten free, vegetarian or vegan. Service is speedy and don't let the line out the door fool you! We thought it was packed, but found out the ordering counter is right inside the door so even if line is out the door, there might only be a few parties ahead of you and still tons of seating available. First time ordering here. They have 7 curbside service parking spots but they have a difficult time executing this service. We called as directed per the signs and let them know we were there and spoke to someone, gave them our car details and they said they would be right out...we waited 20 min and they forgot about us. We had to go in to get our food. I would've gone in to begin with but since they said they would be out - we waited. The food was great. I think next time though we will go in to get our food. I had a terrible togo experience. Spent 45 minutes of my hour lunch waiting for my to go order before I had to leave. Order placed at 1225 and it was supposed to be ready at 1pm. Arrived about 15 minutes early. At 110 order still not ready and no one was at the pick up area to assist patrons. Had to go track someone down to cancel my order. The first time my family and I went to Flower Child we were hooked! The "healthy" spot we were looking for since we moved out here. Unfortunately, the last few times we have ordered from Flower Child have been increasingly disappointing. On one occasion we ordered to go. The food was way too salty for us and I like things salty but for a kid's meal that doesn't make any sense. If any readers have high blood pressure beware. So we threw it out, there goes a steak entree, steak bowl, and steak kids meal. Sidebar, when I was waiting at the restaurant today, another customer brought their plate up and complained about their dish being too salty as well. On another occasion, we ordered to go and when I got home they forgot a bowl (I guess that is my fault for not checking). I called them up and they were able to get it made and have it ready for me to pick up. But before I went back, I checked on my dish to see if it was correct, and I called them a second time to ask them if I had the right item. I said what was in my entree and they said that was the bowl that I was missing, so then I said, "I am missing the entree then?" The manager said they would refund my entree, I said thanks, but I still want the food. So they said they will make the steak entree instead, then the manager added that they double-check the order before it goes out (you shouldn't have added that). Cool, so you and the other person I spoke to double-check every order before they go out, and yet an item was still missing? (More on this later) I took a picture before I left so I could show them what I got. I get there and pick up my order, show them the photo, and again they said they would refund my order and the manager (I assume) rolled their eyes. K, I wasn't trying to be difficult, I just wanted my order and not have to drive back and forth to get it. I haven't checked my bank statement to see if they did hold up their promise to refund my order. As I said the food is good so despite that inconvenience we ordered from them again. On this last occasion, I order at 6:18 PM the food was promised at 6:53 PM. I got there a bit early no big deal, the employee asked for my name and came back and said it was promised at 6:55 PM and that it was not ready yet, that's fine. I don't know how the email I got and their system at the store work but they were off. Maybe the employee was just rounding up? Anywho, I walked out at 7:12 PM, almost an hour after I placed my order to make two dishes. Cool. They also didn't have an item in our order so they substituted it with something else. Cool. They offered some dish close to what I originally ordered and I asked if it would have no salt and they said it was already salted. Cool. So they offered broccoli instead. Sweet. Oh and a gluten-free blah blah blah cookie on the house, lol. On top of that, there was a couple that got there at most 5 minutes after we entered, they ordered carryout and they were out of there before us. I don't know how that is possible considering I only ordered two things. Of course, I could have asked what was taking so long, but I believe that customer service is dependent on the business. They should be checking in with me and giving updates. I shouldn't have to manage my order and check for updates. I don't work there. Imagine if a food critic or a food influencer came to your restaurant, would you keep them in the dark or wait for as long as I did? Last but not least, when I got home and opened my order the avocado was missing from my bowl. When I was waiting I was looking to see if they do check the orders and at first, it seemed like it. They would open each container to check what was inside. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem they check for the accuracy of the order. We'll probably order from Flower Child again. However, quality control from my experience is a big issue at this location. Which has been validated by other reviewers talking about their food. Enjoyable and different dining experience! We discovered Flower Child last night while perusing dining options on our first night in Gilbert. The atmosphere is great! Wide open, brightly lit and you can see all the kitchen action your lil foodie-heart desires. There are SO MANY good options to choose from it was tough to choose. I ordered the chicken thigh & noodle bowl and my date ordered the chicken enchilada bowl. We both were very pleased with our meals. Plenty of food, excellent cook on the veggies, delicious unique sauces and we felt great eating healthy chow after being on the road for several days. I have eaten here for the last 5 weeks straight almost every Saturday or Sunday. This place has an amazing staff and the freshest selection of food. Being a vegan it's always tough to find a place that serves up delicious vegan items with tofu(cooked here the best). I am so happy I have found this place and every weekend I take a trip all the way from Ahwatukee to eat here. I always get the forbidden rice and tofu and it never disappoints. If you are vegan and looking for a hardy meal that has great flavor and balance with good source of protein then you must get the forbidden rice with tofu, sorry Chop Shop fans, but this plate is the best. The veggies are always perfectly fresh and it is the perfect mixture ratio of rice tofu and veggies. Now the best part is their friendly and always courteous too. I have never felt unwelcome and even when they are super busy they still kick butt getting your order right and in a timely fashion. However today it was super busy and we got prompt service while we were waiting in line, and Juster needs to be recognized. He came right up and asked us if we were eating in. Took a seating number and said he would find us a table outside for us when this place was super packed and busy. Not only did he pick us a seat he came back to check if we were ok with the seat outside. He ended up bringing us our food as well, and is always hustling around helping others. He has such a positive attitude and I know he has his mask on but I can certainly say he would be smiling under that mask. What a gem for Flower Child to have such an awesome employee who shows that he cares and works diligently. As my fiancé told me, he is "just fabulous." I have owned a restaurant in the past myself so I know how hard it is to keep a positive attitude when it is busy, but I am really and super impressed with Juster and the entire staff as they are the best! This was absolutely necessary for this part of town. Picked up a to go order and the place was really busy. The employee that helped me close out was really sweet. Kindness radiates from everyone who works here. The food was superb, I got a couple bowls, hummus, and a lemon cake. Everything was exactly like I ordered and the gave huge portions.
