If you don't get a sandwich, make sure you order some of their bread on the side - it is perfect for dipping! Everything was just as delicious as I remembered it to be. Although I don't have a picture of my breakfast burrito, it was fantastic. This was the first time I ordered a breakfast item from Wildflower in a very long time. I ordered on their site and went and picked up a little bit later. The burrito was fresh and the veggies and the hash browns in the burrito were just amazing. I skipped the sausage and the cheese but I don't think they impacted the taste, if any thing it might have made it better. I didn't realize there would be so much potato inside the burrito when I ordered house fries as a side so next time I will order a different side. The salsa on the side was an excellent condiment. Sometimes when the restaurant is busy its difficult to find parking in the area where the restaurant is located! My go to order is the pesto chicken linguine and its delicious. I stopped by this Wildflower location for a late lunch on July 4th. With several locations in Phoenix and surrounding suburbs, I've been to one other location and we've also delivered delivery at work. This was my first time trying the North Scottsdale location. Ambiance (3/5): Pretty much your standard breakfast/lunch cafe. It reminds me of somewhere like Panera. Comfortable yet unremarkable. There's a good amount of seating, both tables and booths. Naturally, I sat at a booth. And they also have free WiFi, which is always a nice touch. Service (4/5): You order at the counter and they bring your food to you. Soon after I was done eating, someone stopped by and asked me if I was done. She cleared the table for me. The attentiveness was impressive. Drinks (4.5/5): For a breakfast/lunch spot, I always look for more than your typical soft drinks as well as apple juice and orange juice. Wildflower does it right. They have several types of fresh lemonades and teas...perfect for me. I really enjoyed the Thai lemonade. Food (3/5): Now, we're getting to the main issue I have with Wildflower. For breakfast, they have various sandwiches and egg-centric dishes. For lunch, it's soup, sandwiches, and salads. For dinner, mostly pasta. I understand the divide between breakfast and lunch. But the fact that you can't get pasta for lunch is a bit annoying. I'm sure there are some operational and probably cost savings by doing things this way, but pasta for lunch isn't an unusual lunch item, so I wish you could do it her. Rant complete. On this visit, I had the tomato basil soup in a bread boule and a side of mac and cheese. There's something iconic about eating soup out of a bread bowl. It was my first time doing it. Bucket list item complete. It's the little things in life. The part they cut out of the bread to fit the soup is also provided to you with a side of whipped butter. I appreciated that. I enjoyed both the standalone bread and the soup itself. By the time I finished the soup, you now have soggy bread with some soup remnants. Not the best but I ate it because I'm not wasteful. And now Wildflower's fault. You pay for the presentation of a bread bowl, rather than the logistics. The mac and cheese, to my surprise had some red peppers in it. That was a first for me. I'm not a big peppers guy but the mac and cheese was tasty. And creamy as it should be. With a little more flexibility in their menu, Wildflower would be a 4-star in my book. I'll end on a high note. My sister in law had a pretty serious surgery and we live far away so I offered to get her food delivered and she chose wildflower. I spent a small fortune to order her food exactly as she asked and paid to have it delivered. And they prepared the wrong meal... I don't know how this gets mixed up, the order and even the bag very clearly asked for rosemary chicken but they sent a pretty sad excuse of a box of Mac n cheese or Alfredo? I'm not sure, but I'm disappointed and she was disappointed - she came back from surgery late and sick and her order was wrong and it was too late to call and get a new one. My absolute favorite is the brisket with cheddar and mashed potatoes on ciabatta, it is seasonal and always worth waiting for. A new iteration appeared, a "torta" with brisket, cheese, lettuce tomato, Avacodo, salsa and more junk. It was disgusting. The sliced meat was dry and had huge chunks of fat. Such a disappointment!
