Wildflower is located in the Seville Shopping Plaza. I am very familiar with their tasty cookies they make. I stopped in to indulge in a sweet. The store didn't have my usual order so I got their chocolate chip instead and sparkling water. Staff were friendly and efficient. The cookie was great along with the atmosphere. An enjoyable stop. Shared parking and WiFi available.

Lunch here was a game-changer! This isn't your typical fast-casual spot. They offer an incredibly fresh, health-driven menu with full table service (no clean-up hassle!). Great food, great service, and seriously easy on the wallet. We loved it so much we had to double (and triple!) back. Follow me on Instagram - #thecannyadventurist for a deeper dive into my reviews.

The food here is always fresh and delicious. It's clean, quick, and high quality. I enjoy they're vegetarian options and the variety of food at their various locations. I particularly like the bread and tomato soup at this location.

The gluten free banana pancakes were delicious! I have to say (warning: more GF blah blah) I asked if the oatmeal is gluten free because it doesn't say it is on the menu. The cashier asked and came back with a yes buuuuuuut I didn't trust that. Again, it doesn't say GF on the menu, which is where I feel it would have been confirmed, since other items DO say gluten free, like my aforementioned YUMMY banana nut pancakes. I opted to play it safe. The coffees are excellent. The staff was very nice OH and the glass decor! Wow! Very Chihuly-esque..... all in all this is a good place to grab a bite and go.

After discovering Wildflower during our stay in Sedona, we were thrilled to find another location once we got to Scottsdale. We had no idea it was a local chain, and after our first experience, we were more than ready for round two. We walked in just after opening and were greeted by Mae--an absolute gem of a human. She's been with Wildflower for 14 years and clearly takes so much pride in what she does. Honestly, if every restaurant had a Mae, the world wouldn't need anything below a 5-star review. I'd passed on the avocado toast this time (meh in Sedona), and went for the lemon pancakes with berry compote--and wow, no regrets. Mae overheard that my sister and I were planning to split them and had the kitchen plate our halves separately. It was such a thoughtful touch and really made us feel taken care of. Everyone else was just as happy: the regular pancakes and the breakfast burrito were both big hits again, and Mae's recommendation of the cranberry scone and blueberry muffin was spot on. Loved the side of bacon - would pass on turkey sausage patty next time. We left full, happy, and already planning our next visit. We'll be back in Scottsdale this fall, and you can bet Wildflower is on the list--hopefully with a side of Mae.

One of my favorite soup salad and sandwich stops! The soups are always fresh and delicious. Sandwich's are always refreshing. Good selections for lighter drinks like lemonade and tea. Good for either takeout or to go with open seating. You order at the counter and the server brings the food out to you. Last time we went there was a lot of families with kids running around and it was kind of a mess from the kids but that's not the servers fault, overall decent ambiance and good food!

Wildflower is a fast casual restaurant. Their menu features artisan bread, soup, sandwiches, salad, pasta, coffee, and more. Wildflower is a solid spot, especially for lunch. This one is located in a large shopping center with plenty of parking. The staff was pleasant and helpful. I opted for the WF Two; half Asian salad and half almond tuna as well as an iced oat milk latte with honey and cinnamon. The portions were generous. I've had the tuna sandwich before and really enjoyed it. It's tasty and filling. The salad came with field greens, green and red cabbage, cucumbers, organic carrots, celery, jicama, scallions, toasted sesame seeds, crispy noodles, and Thai peanut dressing. The latte was also good. Would order all three again!

The food here is always delicious! Their fresh breads and pastries never fail to delight. My husband loves the chopped salad and we really appreciate their accommodations/flexibility with their menu!

Wilted/old kale leaves in the half salad I ordered

Usually I don't have a problem with Wildflower's food but today I decided to get a half sandwich and half salad. After finishing eating my sandwich, I started to put dressing on the Kale Caesar salad and noticed a few wilted/old kale? I was really surprised because the food here is usually fresh but then again I normally don't order their salads. Not sure if I will order the salads in the future because it's not very appetizing. I picked around the old ones and ate the romaine lettuce instead.

Cool, little bakery and eatery in Scottsdale. We came here specifically for their sourdough bread that we had at breakfast at another restaurant, but apparently, their bread is so popular that many other restaurants use it in the region. Mary took our bread order over the phone and made sure it was ready for us by the time we came in to purchase. Will definitely return for some amazing bakery items next time in town.

this was a great experience. this was our first time attending this restaurant. It's almost like a Panera restaurant but better. Salads were delicious and they had these amazing cookies. I definitely will go back here again. Next time I'm in Scottsdale.. Service was cool like I said it was like Panera so you order at the desk they give you a number and then they deliver the food to your table. Ambience it was cool too like I said it's like your local Panera.

Our party arrived right on time for our reservation, but we were not seated until 15 min later because our table was not ready. It took about an additional 15 min to get tap water for the table (there was not enough provided anyways), and to place our orders too another ~20 min. The food did not arrive until 30 min later. For context, we eventually learned that the restaurant was short staffed and the bartender was also operating as our waiter. When the food finally arrived, there was a mix-up on what was delivered. We had checked with the staff who delivered one of the dishes: we ordered the "wild mushroom" side, but what we received did not look quite like it. We asked clarifying questions x2, but were assured, "no, it is the wild mushroom." Turned out, it was the mushroom empanada that was delivered to our table, which we originally did not order. The management did rectify the situation upon the conclusion of the event when we were paying the bill, but to us, it felt a bit accusatory as if we intentionally wanted to cause a huge fuss about the final total, which was absolutely not the case. The food in general was delicious. If this was a more standard dining experience, it would have been 4-5 stars just for the food. The service was very subpar, and really colored the entire experience negatively, therefore the two star review. I understand that staffing shortages happen -- fine. My family has worked in food service as wait staff for 25+ YEARS, so I am empathetic. But for management to ring up our bill and then come confront us in an inflammatory manner, making us feel like we were wrong, on an occasion to celebrate something special, was extremely disappointing.

We have yet to have one bad dish. The chicken mole is different from our first visit. It's a grilled chicken instead of crispy chicken, which we liked more. Our server told us we had to try the sticky cake, and she was right. My girlfriend and I were left wishing we had a whole bottle of that sauce to take home. The only thing we didn't enjoy was the perfect patron margarita, tasted and looked like straight lemon juice. Service makes or breaks the dining experience. Tatiana was amazing. She recommended her favorite dishes and explained the menu in depth, something we wished for on our first visit because the menu is huge. Her personality and attention to the details made the meal for us. We will be requesting her for all of our future visits Overall, great experience and great food. We recommend Sumomaya

SumoMaya Updated Yelp Review: 2.0/5…read more This one pains me to write. The last time I dined at SumoMaya was about 10 years ago and at that time I gave it a 5/5-star experience. I remembered it as a vibrant, trendy, elevated dining destination with great food and a fun atmosphere. So when I decided to bring my mom (who had never been) to try their Arizona Restaurant Week menu, I was genuinely excited. Unfortunately... much has changed. Let me start with the positives because there were a few. The inside ambiance is still fantastic. SumoMaya absolutely nails the vibe. Modern, sexy, upscale energy with a lively crowd, gorgeous interior design, and a house DJ spinning deep house that honestly may have been the highlight of the night. If you're looking for a place to grab cocktails, enjoy music, and soak in a cool atmosphere? Sure. For that alone, they still have something going for them. Also, our server was excellent -- friendly, attentive, and professional. Now...the food. We arrived around 7:30 PM and didn't leave until roughly 9:30 PM, which felt excessive considering we were doing a fixed Restaurant Week menu. While our server was great, the kitchen/food pacing was painfully slow. The Breakdown: Maya Roll - 4/5 The clear winner of the night. Fresh, flavorful, well-balanced, and honestly the only dish that reminded me why SumoMaya used to have the reputation it did. Pad Thai Pork "Al Pastor" - 1/5 This was rough. The noodles were noticeably overcooked, the flavor was bland, and overall it felt confused conceptually and poorly executed. Definitely not a dish I'd ever order again. Chilean Sea Bass w/ Miso Glaze - complicated . This dish deserves its own courtroom trial. The first sea bass plates came out undercooked to the point where the fish practically looked ready to swim away. Let's be clear: Chilean sea bass is not sushi. Serving undercooked fish in this context is not just disappointing -- it's a legitimate food safety concern. That initial version? 0/10. Once corrected, the bigger issue became the miso glaze, which was aggressively overpowering. To the point where both my mom and I felt a bit queasy after a few bites. Without lime? 1/5. With lime squeezed over it to cut through the miso overload? 3/5. Even then, it was just... mediocre. I've had far better Chilean sea bass elsewhere -- buttery, delicate, flaky perfection. This wasn't that. Given the glowing reviews I had read about this dish, this was one of the bigger disappointments of the night. Mexican Street Corn - 0/5 As a side, we were served the Mexican Street Corn, and unfortunately this was another major miss. I love Mexican street corn and have ordered it at countless restaurants throughout Arizona, so I was excited to try SumoMaya's version. Sadly, this wasn't even remotely close to what I'd expect from authentic or well-executed street corn. My mom, who is a chef, immediately commented that it tasted like canned corn, and honestly, I had to agree. There was very little of the bold flavor profile that makes Mexican street corn so addictive. The cotija, lime, spice, and cream elements that should make the dish pop were either absent or completely overwhelmed by the watery dish itself. 0/5 stars. In fact, this may have been the worst Mexican street corn I've ever had at a restaurant. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone, especially considering how many excellent versions of this dish can be found throughout the Valley. Bread Pudding - 0/5 I don't say this lightly: possibly the worst bread pudding I've ever had. Dry. Hard. Portions of the bread tasted borderline burnt. Instead of warm, decadent comfort-food dessert vibes, it felt like chewing on a stale kitchen experiment gone wrong. Final Verdict: This is where it gets tough. If we hadn't been dining on the Restaurant Week prix fixe, I honestly would have felt severely swindled, because the standard menu pricing here is not cheap -- and based on the quality of what came out of the kitchen, I simply don't see the value. The only reason this review gets 2 stars instead of 1 is because: Great ambiance Awesome house music / deep house DJ Excellent server One good sushi roll But based purely on food quality? This was deeply disappointing. I genuinely hate saying this because I remembered SumoMaya so fondly, but I will be shocked if this restaurant maintains longevity if this is the level of food consistently leaving the kitchen. Would I come back? Maybe for drinks, ambiance, and the music. Definitely not for dinner.

We were seated within minutes of our reservation time, greeted promptly with water, and made to feel welcome right away. Our server was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu, answered all of our questions, and gave thoughtful recommendations based on our preferences. We started with several appetizers, including the carpaccio, Japanese milk bread, dumplings, and hamachi. Every single dish was memorable and something I'd gladly order again. The Japanese milk bread lived up to its reputation, and the hamachi was especially fresh and flavorful. For our entrees, we ordered the roasted chicken, surf and turf, and a side of Brussels sprouts. The chicken was cooked perfectly, tender, juicy, and practically cuttable with a butter knife. The steak was equally impressive, and the lobster was rich, buttery, and packed with flavor. Even the Brussels sprouts were outstanding. The ambiance was another highlight. The restaurant felt upscale and refined without being stuffy. It had a relaxed energy that made it easy to settle in, enjoy the evening, and celebrate. Between the beautiful atmosphere, attentive service, and incredible food, the entire experience felt special from start to finish. We came to celebrate a birthday following a difficult family tragedy and were hoping for a memorable evening. While there were definitely some highlights, the overall experience didn't live up to the restaurant's reputation or price point. The truffle baked potato was outstanding, and the Love Pillow pasta was absolutely delicious. However, the steaks were a different story. The ribeye was chewy and not cooked particularly well, and the Wagyu arrived overly charred and crispy on the outside, which took away from what should have been a premium dining experience. What stood out even more was the service experience. Throughout the evening, we noticed managers and staff checking in with many surrounding tables, yet no one ever stopped by ours to ask how our meal was or whether everything was satisfactory. After spending nearly $1,000 for four people, that level of attentiveness should be standard regardless of what guests are wearing or who they are. Another disappointment was the overall atmosphere around the service station. Being seated nearby, it was hard not to notice staff repeatedly slamming and tapping order books and equipment against the countertops. It created a distracting environment that felt inconsistent with the upscale dining experience Maple & Ash promotes. There also seemed to be a lot of staff and management congregating in one area while guests went unchecked. As someone who has lived in Scottsdale my entire life, I left feeling that the food quality and hospitality have declined from what I remember. There are simply too many great steakhouse options in the area that consistently deliver both exceptional food and professional service. Would I return? Probably not. For this price point, I'd choose Steak 44, where I've always felt appreciated as a guest and know what level of service and quality to expect. This version reads as thoughtful and credible, which tends to carry more weight with both readers and management.
