My home has always been the South Meadows Flowing Tide. And I've enjoyed the other locations but tonight I felt like I was home. The space, the cleanliness, no empty tables that hadn't been bussed. My brownie Sundae was just as bomb. To be honest the consistency in service of all Flowing Tide locations is beyond impressive! Thank you Hailey for being an amazing hostess of my home away from home. If I'm on this side I will be in again. If you haven't checked this place out, do it. Eh. I hadn't been here since it became a flowing tide. It looks nothing like any of the other locations. It feels cold and grungie. The space is really large and dark, there is no real decor at all. The bathrooms are 10x nicer than the rest of the bar lol. My boyfriend and his friend went to use the bathroom and the door guy/ ID checker guy was in the stall with 2 other people... including some chick. Classy. 10 minutes later the door guy was back out on the floor and looked spun out. Needless to say our group left after finishing our drinks. Now... I am not doing 1 star because... the waitress was great! She was friendly and took care of us and the bartender was great as well! He came out to our table and everything. The drinks are strong and the two of them were cool! I won't return... too many places close by to end up here. read more

Chicken tortilla soup minus everything, basically enchilada sauce in a bowl, my husbands spagetti without the Tide wonderful spaghetti sauce...just a spoonful of tomato sauce. Giving five stars specifically for the service my mom and I had received this passed weekend. We went out to this Flowing Tide location for some drinks and to unwind. At one point during the night, the men at the next table over from us decided to send us a fishbowl that we did not want. Despite us expressing that we did not want this drink, the men continued to insist and it made my mother and I very uncomfortable. Our server could see that this interaction was going south and made it a point to check up on my mom and I consistently. She also offered to have someone walk us to our car. Good people. No loyalty. Good happy hour. This is the bar you come to "just get food" or the place to get incoherently drunk after the club. They'll serve regardless. Not a place to form connections. Not a place to make it "your bar". Too many cliques and toxicity. No bar-to-client relationships should be formed. Too much backstabbing. A good place for just a moment. *New review* The last time I was here, two years ago, I vowed to never come back. However, hunger, lack of desire to cook, and limited late evening restaurant options on this side of town had me heading begrudgingly through the doors. Although still not a fan of the shortened bar caused by an inconvenient wall due to a smoking side and some awkward seating, I readily admit this experience was a wonderful 180 degree difference than my last experience. The service was excellent, the food as great as their reputation promises, and the lighting much warmer and inviting. This is much more like the "local's bar" feel I have grown to love about sports bars in this town. Thank you. The only redeeming quality is the food is decent. The service was awful (and they weren't that busy), the new seating arrangements (compared to Sparky's) are awful, making it feel very impersonal, and it's cold and dark. I will start with the positives as it always wracks me with guilt when I have to leave a negative review. The space is large and surprisingly classy and clean. They have a sunken area with a pool table and a few arcade games and lots of comfortable tables and extra large booths throughout. We came on a Sunday for breakfast/lunch as my husband is always looking for a great breakfast place and likes the idea of a place he can have a beer with his meal at 10am, he's a nerd and inspired by George RR Martin. The one working hostess/waitress was nice enough, if not overly laid back. She took her time chatting with a few tables before meandering over to bring menus, drinks, food. We weren't in any rush so we didn't mind that she wanted to have extended conversations with some customers. However, the food. My god this was some of the worst food I've ever had. Just about everything is frozen SYSCO type fare, and the stuff that's made in house was awful. We ordered a french toast for my son off the kids menu and it was $4 for one anemic slice of white bread dipped in thin egg batter. It was pathetic. not even powdered sugar or a slice of orange or a strawberry for garnish. I think it's their way of strongly hinting they don't want kids to eat there? The jalapeno poppers were just the standard frozen fare with no spiciness or zest at all. Breakfast potatoes were barely cooked and hard and yet greasy. I had a blackened chicken sandwich that came out as a pale thin chicken fillet that had barely any spices on it and the grilled onion that came on it were huge chunks of barely cooked greasy white onion, not grilled or carmelized at all. I think the best part of the meal was the standard frozen steak fries. read more

This is a nice upgrade to the former's Sparky's that opened today. I was their first or one of their first happy hour customers. It runs from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. and from 10 p.m. to midnight. Smaller glasses of beer are half price and there's discounts on other drinks. They have a nice selection of appetizers for $6. I ordered the Widmer hefeweizen, dumplings and chicken wings. The wheat beer had an unusual tang. Like maybe it actually wasn't a wheat beer and had lots of hops. I almost sent it back, but for $2.50, I wasn't going to complain too much. The dumplings were good enough I couldn't tell if they were fresh made or pre-made and reheated. They weren't outstanding. I wouldn't go there for just the dumplings. But they were considerably better than BJ's a few blocks south on Sparks Boulevard. They give two dipping sauces. The mustardy peanut sauce didn't work for me, but the darker sauce (maybe mostly hoisin?) was good. The wings were the best part of the meal. Nicely cooked and tangy enough. The meat was good quality. My waitress was friendly. The place was surprisingly packed for 2 p.m. Just about every seat at the bar was taken and several tables were filled. When Sparky's first opened it was packed. I went in during March Madness a few years ago and the place was deserted. I knew the writing was on the wall then. They also have a fairly extensive breakfast menu. I look forward to trying that. Lots of TVs around the room. In that sunken part, when it was Soarky's they had a couple of huge TVs there with tables. Now they have pool tables plus some video games and a pinball machine. read more

Flowing Tide Pub #4 at Prater and Sparks Blvd. is open 24/7 and is a 2 minute drive from my house. I had been to the South Meadows location awhile back and I wanted to try this one. So, myself and Mom, my usual Partner In Crime, headed out. It was about 8:30am on a Wednesday night, so there was plenty of parking and it's wasn't too busy inside, maybe about 8 other tables, so we were able to grab a big comfy booth! We were sitting right under a speaker, so it was a little loud but they were playing some awesome music, "Heathens" by 21 Pilots, Reel Big Fish, JT, so that made me happy. Destin AND Larissa were our servers, and they were both super sweet, nice, quick, and efficient. It seemed that maybe they were both just taking of tables and then will split the tips at the end of the night? This confused me, but we got great service and that's what matters. For an appetizer we ordered the Zucchini Wheels ($7.49), they were battered, and came out super hot and fresh, and the portion was generous ! They weren't cut too thick and came with a side of ranch, I loved them as zucchini is my favorite veggie! Mom ordered the Italian Parmesan Chicken Sandwich ($8.99), it came on toasted Sourdough with Marina and Mozzarella, and she got Onion Rings with it, I took a bite and OMG, so good! The bread was toasted to buttery perfection, the chicken was juciy, and the sauce to cheese ratio was spot on! I had the Blue Cheese Bacon Burger cooked to medium ($9.49) with Beer Battered Fries. It came on a Potato Roll which I liked, and had Red Onion, lettuce, and tomato. The burger itself had that really good kinda charred, crusty thing going on which I love on my burgers, it was nice and juicy, I would like just a little more Blue Cheese Crumbles on it, but that's just me and my cheese addiction. Mom had 2 glasses of the house Cabernet ($5.00 each) and since I was driving, I had the biggest glass of Iced Tea I've ever seen ($2.49) which I liked because it was like having 2 glasses in one, no need to wait for a refill. Overall, it was a very enjoyable experience, a little on the loud side, but they did turn the music down after we politely mentioned how loud it was. The food, service, prices, ambience, location, everything was awesome! It's to know that we have a place to go late at night for some great food! Check out any of the Flowing Tide locations. Ok, so at beginning of this whole Armagedon I left a so so review. Since that time, I have come in multiple times and have had great service and great food. You have to mask up to enter, exit etc. All employees masked up. They have 2 happy hours one is 2pm -6pm and another from 10 PM- midnight. Also breakfast on weekends. Food....Fish and chips is some of the best I've ever had. Fish tacos are delicious ( same fish as the fish and chips), shrimp tacos. Wings, clam strips. They had carnitas tacos on special a few weeks ago and they were out of this world! And HUGE! Blue cheese bacon burger is yummy. Didn't care for the french onion soup on last visit, too salty. Not sure what I'll go for today, but whatever it turns out to be will be tasty and enough for 2 meals. I highly recommend this place. Seth and all the bartenders are so nice. This bar is a great place to get a beer and some great food. The 24 hour service is so convenient and makes life a lot easier to be able to get food or a drink whenever. The staff is always great, I would say I'm a regular and my servers that I love are Careese, Daniel, and the hostess Miranda is great. I have never had a problem at flowing tide. Had to knock them down a star. We came here last Saturday and the service and server was not good at all. The food was good but unfortunately we didn't get the friendly and awesome service we did the other two times we've been here. I normally wouldn't be too harsh but the service was BAD. I came into Flowing Tide last night for a quick bite and discovered they offered Cioppino on the menu. This is one of my favorite dishes so I decided to give it a try; it was literally the best I've ever had, very generous portion with plenty of seafood and a nice zesty tomato broth. I have been to the S. Meadows location many times. I believe the service and atmosphere are better there. However this location is okay. I had the Tidal Tacos. I had the Chipotle sauce on the side. Good thing it is a little strong flavored. So a little goes a long way. They were good though. My husband had a cheeseburger. He said it was just as good as the other location. read more

Since opening 7 weeks ago, I have frequented Flowing Tide for their amazing happy hour. I have only ever ordered food off their happy hour menu, which is only $6 for reasonable & share-able sized appetizers, but they also have a full menu of burgers, sandwiches, salads, wraps etc. While the food is good, I stay for the discounted drinks! Draft pints, house wine and well drinks are 50% off and all other drinks are $2 off. They have an awesome Moscow Mule priced at $5 which means it's only $3 during happy hour! I generally average 4 a visit :) The bar is open 24/7 and there is a pool area with some video games in the main bar area and then a separate closed off smoking area with another pool table. I have been with large groups of 12+ people and just myself and my boyfriend and the service has always been good. I think I had been to the Sparkeys there once so I don't know much about the remodel but I would highly recommend checking it out! read more

I've been to the Flowing Tide at South Meadows many times and it's always been delicious, and the atmosphere warm and comfortable. Wow is that NOT the case with the Sparks location! The remodel didn't do much for the place other than add a pool room where I guess you can smoke. I didn't venture in. The rest of the place was full and annoyingly loud. No warmth or comfort whatsoever. They even ditched the comfy chairs and couches in the pit and replaced them with noisy billiard tables. I was told to seat myself, and the only table available was by the bathrooms under an air shaft that had literally NO LIGHT! Good thing I had my tablet with me so I could at least see what the heck I was eating! Not that it was worth seeing, or eating for that matter. I chose a BLT and added avocado. I made the humongous mistake of ordering onion rings as my side and zucchini wheels as an appetizer. I'm used to both items being breaded, not batter dipped and didn't think to ask. Admittedly my bad, so I (tried) to eat them. Again, my bad. The bacon on the BLT was so thick and hard, it hurt my teeth trying to chew it. I was hungry, so I plugged away but eventually gave up. I also attempted both the onion rings and zucchini which were so greasy I couldn't stomach more than a few bites before calling it. Service was spotty, there were no silverware setups on the table and nobody offered me one, and I had to ask twice for napkins (eating ALL finger food, mind you). The waitress, obviously not noticing my still-full plates, asked how it was only after dropping the check. I told her the grease was making me sick and I was done. No reaction or offer to do anything, and by this point, I was feeling really sick and just wanted out. I paid the near-$20 bill and left a $3 and change tip (rare for me, since I usually start at 20%), and bolted to the bathroom where I had to stay for over 20 minutes. As much as Sparky's went down hill at the end, this place hasn't improved much. I have been going to Tide for almost 10 years, so I'm kind of a Tide expert.. The decor looks better but the overall service has declined, 25 minutes to get food service is too much... sure it was busy @ 11pm/happy hour but that wait time is ridiculous. Great prices but step your services game up Flowing Tide. P.S. - Get better wings. read more

This is the best restaurant in sparks. Every server works to make sure everyone is taken care of. They go out of there way to make sure you can get a table. Even when the place is packed they go out of their way to make you comfortable. On top of that they have a great menu and they make every dish to perfection. read more

My sister and I decided to go out here and eat in after seeing the fireworks. We usually order take outs from here and we have had pretty good experience. But today was horrible. I got the steak sandwich and my sister got the chicken kabob. Our food was late which I can understand as there were a lot of people. But people who came after us got their food before us. I ordered the steak medium but it came so well done that it was hard to bite into. My sisters chicken was tough it wouldn't even come off the skewer. We both hate confrontation so didn't say anything about it. We had our food (since we hate wasting food), paid (with tip), and left. But I just feel a bit unsatisfied about the experience so am writing this review. I can still feel my throat scratched from swallowing those meat. read more

Stopped in here on a Sunday afternoon because it was lunch time and I was craving some chicken wings and wanted to watch the NFL playoffs while we ate. There are plenty of screens to watch and even though the menu runs to the basic sports bar food it was well prepared and came out quickly after we ordered.
