I'm a little disappointed, ngl. I was expecting boba but I guess I didn't look enough into it when I saw this place in yelp. I looked through the photos and didn't think much of it. I didn't realize they put boba in their ice cream. They have a limited variety of drinks and they had good ice cream and had a variety of toppings. Came here with my family to try out some dessert after playing at the park across the street. We were greeted with friendly faces, which is always a plus. Don't think to come here for a variety of soft served ice creme flavors. They have a select few: cookies n creme, taro, matcha, black sesame. Something that was unique was the different flavored cones they offered. My kids had the cookies n creme with toppings of their choice. I had the Thai ice tea with boba. Boba was fresh! This place has the cutest ambience, it's all insta worthy in every corner which is fun. It's also nice to have an asian style dessert place nearby! I was underwhelmed by the soft serve. The flavors were there (green tea and the black sesame! And I liked the charcoal cone). They let you try some samples which is nice. I ordered my green tea ice cream with Charcoal cone. However it melted so quickly, as a grown adult I couldn't keep ice cream from dripping all over my hands which kind of ruined the experience. It turned to soup so fast, that I didn't get to enjoy it much. I did enjoy the unlimited toppings. The staff was nice enough and we didn't have to wait long. read more

5 stars is for the soft serve! I love soft serve and I hadn't been able to find one I like that is South of Irvine until I tried Fluffy Bear. Haven't had a chance to try any of their other offerings so I can't speak to that, but it's worth coming here for the soft serve ice cream alone. We have tried the milk, taro, green tea, and black sesame and all were delicious. I prefer the cup, but hubby always goes for a cone. The cone is delicious, but be sure to grab a bunch of napkins as it can get messy since soft serve will melt much faster than your typical ice cream scoop! It is located in a decent sized shopping center so parking is always plentiful :) read more

Fluffy Bear is a super cute, nicely decorated dessert shop! They mostly serve soft serve, milkshakes, floats, and drinks. Overall, I think their desserts are good quality, and really flavorful. I'm usually super picky with matcha ice creams, but the matcha soft serve here was great and had the authentic matcha taste. It's really fun to have unlimited toppings! If you want to fully take advantage of the unlimited toppings, I'd recommend getting the soft serve in a cup, otherwise there's not much room for toppings. The graham cracker powder and gummy bear toppings were great! I was disappointed when I came because the store had been open for an hour already but the boba wasn't ready yet. I was really looking forward to trying their boba. I also wish that there were more than just four flavors of ice cream served. read more

Visited this place after my friends and I got dinner, and wow such a cute place for dessert! I've lived in the area practically my whole life but haven't heard of the place til we yelped for ice cream shops. When you walk in, it's a pink room with a couch, tables and chairs around & bathroom in the back. The menu has ice cream, floats and more! They allow you to sample the flavors, which is nice. They even have a self serve water station for those that get thirsty after having ice cream or sweets, which is greatly appreciated. I got the ube and black sesame swirl in a cup with a cone to add on the top and free UNLIMITED toppings!! Love this place! The black sesame tasted like peanut butter, which was unusual but it worked. Loads of ice cream so great for the price plus check in on yelp for 15% off! They should totally consider making a bear shaped waffle cone like those fish cones but bear style. I think people would totally buy it and plus super cute right?! read more

Got to try this new matcha soft serve ice cream spot that opened up recently near my area by same owners of Pengo tea. Having frequented many matcha ice cream shops I was not expecting much authentic flavors here in south OC but was pleasantly surprised. I ordered the matcha and taro sundae with charcoal cone, wafer and powdered oreo on top. I like my matcha strong so appreciated that the matcha sundae was just that - lots of matcha and not too light/creamy. The taro also had really deep flavor and was tasty. The charcoal cone is great. All items come with unlimited toppings. Colorful trendy decor. Seating comfortable. Service was friendly. Price about right. If I had to suggest one thing it would be to add more topping options like red bean or fruit. Will have to come back to try their floats! 5 stars. read more

Look we drove from Santa Monica! To try this spot. Needless to say it's the best soft serve in Cali. I know it sounds crazy but a self labeled globetrotter I have tried a lot of places. I got the taro and black sesame served a charcoal cone with a cinnamon,chocolate stick and sprinkles. My girl got the succulent cookies and cream with Oreo dressing on a cinnamon cone. They also had the matcha option which will be a must try for next time. Finally somewhere we can go to enjoy the scenery and bottom line actually enjoy the ice cream. Fluffy bear is where I love sweet bar used to be. It has a much cleaner and simpler look. Hopefully it will be able to stick around for a while. The store is catered towards instagram and fortunately their desserts are tasty too. I'm a huge fan of taro so anywhere I can get that is a plus, especially in this area. Although my taro milkshake and boba was a little too sweet for me, the taro flavor was on point and the boba soft and chewy. The cups have an interesting shape to them but are a little thin and flimsy. It's a new place so the menu is probably evolving as it works out its kinks. There's not much variety, but I'm a fan of what's available. I wonder if there will be flavors that are switched out though. I would hate to show up one day and a flavor I wanted isn't there. read more

Went to the soft opening of this cute icecream shop. The toppings were limited but free and they had interesting flavors, but we liked the cookies and creme the best! I did make a suggestion to have the bottom of the cones to fill with chocolate (like some of the frozen cone treats in grocery stores) but also for functional purposes bc the icecream kept dripping at the bottom. Parking is plentiful since they share the same parking lot as Ralph's, but I wish the hours were extended. A few times I've gone to Yogurtland or Afters icecream bc fluffy bear was closed during a late night craving! read more

I agree with the other reviewers. Now that it's Pengo x Fluffy Bear, the choices are so limited. There are only two flavors of ice cream (vanilla and black sesame when we were there), and a very limited choice of toppings - chocolate chips (which they were out of), chocolate or rainbow sprinkles, cocoa or fruity pebbles, and slivered almonds. I'm all for Asian ice cream flavors, but let's face it: no kid screams for black sesame. The Pengo side has much more options for drinks and salty foods, but if you want ice cream, I wouldn't bother. read more

I was in the area for vacation and I decided to check out fluffy bear boba. I am not from the area and I know that Orange County's boba is more authentic then where I am from. The aesthetic of this boba tea cafe is so cute and fun (you can see in the picture). I love that they have their own branding on the cups. I would definitely come back again. read more

I'm usually not really into shaved ice or snow, because they're usually not very flavorful. But since there's an option to add soft serve, I decided to give it a try. I ordered the strawberry flavored shaved snow and added vanilla bean flavored soft serve. The shaved snow was surprisingly very creamy and flavorful! Almost like a lighter ice cream. It was nice to also have the vanilla soft serve on the bottom for a change of flavor and texture! Definitely recommend this place for a yummy summer treat (or for any other season)! read more

The staff was friendly and let us tried all 4 and then decide what we want. Match and black sesame were the winners for us. My husband liked the cookies and cream flavor but I think it was too sweet for me. Neither of us liked the taro because it seemed to leave an aftertaste that was a little artificial. We asked if we could have these two in a cup rather than the custom swirl combos (match/cookies & cream or taro/black sesame) and the girl who helped us pleasantly agreed, so it was great! The toppings are unlimited but we only add a few graham cracker crumbs because we really enjoyed the flavor on its own. In addition to the check-in offer on Yelp, they also offer a student discount that is 15% off when you show student ID. read more

My kids really like the ice cream and toppings. I love the decor and how they have late hours on the weekends for my sweet tooth craving after binge watching movies at home. They don't offer a lot of boba selections or toppings, but I don't think that's their specialty. I'll give them more stars when they open up their indoor seating already. It's almost July so enjoying our melting ice cream in A/C would be nice. read more

Found this place on Yelp and of course I had to stop over because the photos looked amazing. I ordered the following: Strawberry Bingso (with ice cream and condense milk on the bottom) Fluffy Bear milk tea with boba Cookies and cream Ice cream on a charcoal cone. The Bingso is a must, it was sooo good. It wasn't covered in fruit which I liked because I really wanted to taste the shaved ice of course. I thought the Milk Tea was okay but it was probably because I did not drink it right away and the ice melted. Their boba was soft and the perfect consistency of chewy-ness. The Cookies and cream ice cream was so good and you can pick as many toppings as you want. The store itself is super cute, if you're ever in laguna hills, this is a must stop at. read more

When Fluffy Bear originally opened, I was excited to give it a try because it reminded me of SomiSomi, which is one of my favorite soft serve ice cream places. It absolutely lived up to my expectations, and I was a regular customer for a while. However, it seems that Pengo took over/merged and basically ruined everything good about it. You'll notice other reviews mentioning similar things, and tonight I experienced it myself too. What used to be a great soft serve shop is now just Pengo with 2 ice cream flavors tacked onto the menu pretending to be Fluffy Bear. The ice cream was nowhere near the quality it used to be when Fluffy Bear was a standalone shop. It was icy and overly sweet in a stomach sickening way; I had to throw away half of my ice cream cup because I simply could not finish it. It also didn't taste like it was dairy based? I didn't see any kind of notice stating that their ice creams were made from alternative milks or non-dairy, so this was particularly confusing to me. If there was a notice, perhaps I missed it and that would be my fault. Still, I think these kinds of things should be made clear to customers and it shouldn't be something that is easily missed. Either way, it was definitely not the Fluffy Bear I remember and I regretted making the drive over when I could've gotten better soft serve at McDonald's. I'm not sure if Pengo decided to overtake Fluffy Bear simply to kill off a competitor or what, but there's no point in pretending that Fluffy Bear is still alive in this store. Fluffy Bear is dead. TLDR; original Fluffy Bear was 5 stars, Pengo masquerading as Fluffy Bear is 0 stars. Extremely disappointed in the business decisions that have resulted in the death of Fluffy Bear and contemplating whether I want to continue being a Pengo customer for this reason as well. read more

I'm sure this place was created for the Instagram crowd but during Covid, you don't get to enjoy it to the fullest. The ice cream has a very creamy but lacks depth of flavor. The taro tasted like vanilla. The matcha was a little weak. The cones are super thin but I love the cinnamon flavor. They offer unlimited toppings which is a plus for most. They offer other desserts like a shaved ice type of toppings and floats. There isn't a lot of outdoor seating which is a bummer because it melts so fast getting into your car is a bad idea. Standing around a strip mall parking lot isn't a great option, but hey...these times are pretty weird. If you re going for great insta pix, you'll obviously have to wait for this corona crap to be gone so they can restore all the props. read more

My friend and I came here for the first time the other day around 9, their hours say they closed at 10. When we arrived we were the only ones there, we ordered their "Snow." We were told they could only serve us ice cream because their snow machine "takes too long to clean" I assumed they just wanted to close up and leave so we ordered ice cream and were on our way. Before we left, a group of people came in that the employees clearly knew, all of them ordered snow and miraculously.. the snow was available to them. The ice cream was mediocre, but I assume this place isn't popular for the ice cream. Not a great intro ‍ On a lighter note.. it's adorable inside, cute decor and the staff was pleasant enough. read more

Update - Sept 4 no more dairy free the manager took it away they said :( My absolute favorite was the raspberry pom!! It's dairy free and a little tart but I love it! I get it in a cup with mango and boba and coconut shreds! My boyfriend gets the mango snow and its a generous serving, a little sweet but very delicious. I highly recommend these!!! They close promptly and won't answer the phone within 30 minutes of closing for an order pickup. I always crave this place late night so just FYI :) go at least an hour before closing hehe read more

First off, we're a bit "ice cream" snobs. From shaved ice, fresh churned to soft serve we love it all. (If it's great quality) This Korean inspired shaved ice spot was perfect and exceeded expectations. The prices were reasonable and the flavors and combinations were fantastic. We were in town for a brief few days and stopped by numerous times. The shaved ice or "snow cream" was fantastic. Think this is what flavored snow would taste like! The flavor was not added on top but actually was the snow. We tried Taro (mix between a hint of vanilla and fruity pebbles) and strawberry (which had a very sweet strong strawberry flavor).. The portion sizes are huge for the price and you are full by the time you're to the bottom. I used to go Snow 2 Go nearby but their wait so long. They also have Boba drink which i can stop by instead of ShareTea , DingTea, or Lollicup. We ahave tried the Taro Milk tea which was delicious! We will be back again and again. We stopped by for the first time as a break on our 20 mile bike ride and we're so impressed! Anna, Jade and Noel are so wonderful and we witnessed them conduct such a compassionate civic duty. This is probably my favorite ice cream place in Laguna Hills. They just updated their full menu with milkshake and float drink. They also added boba and mochi as the add-on.
