    Truck!

Yum yum. Went to the Re-opening of CMAC and saw this truck that said bbq. We ordered the pulled pork sandwich with coleslaw. Also got the fried corn bread!! It is deep fried with a maple glaze and powered sugar, delish!! Glad we walked to the other side of CMAC and saw them. If your hungo, see truck, eat!

I like to read about restaurants and visit for my own opinion. I was a bit surprised this is in a strip mall. That said inside is small but quaint. We have a lot of bbq place near us but this place was delicious! I got the half rack of ribs and they were yummy! The collard greens had bacon in them and were delicious. I also has the corn bread and spicy slaw and was very pleased. Everyone enjoyed their food and we would definitely recommend this place! Also like the variety of sauces.. something for everyone. I personally liked the "awesome" sauce the best.

Went here on a whim. The pulled pork was delicious! The sauces were very good as well. The awesome sauce was just that.. awesome!!! The daddy's gold a mustard sauce was also really good. The regular bbq sauce is delicious also! The Mac salad was delicious! The buttered toasted rolls are fantastic!! I would definitely recommend this place!! I got my pork sandwich with no sauce so I could try all the sauces. The creamy an spicy coleslaw is delicious too!!

This place is worth it. Brisket moist; pulled pork is divine. Cornbread is so damn good; not dry at all. Collard greens and max & cheese were exceptional. All their sides are homemade. My favorite bbq sauce was the hot/spicy one. Great customer service. Do not sleep on this place. Support them and enjoy their amazing food. Really nice guys running the place!

We heard about a new BBQ Restaurant here in Canandaigua and had to try it out. Having lived in many of the southern states we thought we knew good BBQ, but what we found at FLX BBQ was outstanding. I had the brisket plate with beans and a spicy slaw. My wife had the Fat Face brisket sandwich. It came with one side, she choose the baked beans. We had water and the total bill was approximately $30 dollars, we felt this was a little high. The brisket was pull apart perfect, the bark was excellent . The baked beans were made with the smoked brisket, and where great. Bob the pit master heard we wanted the beans, (we were told there were sold out) he made some for us. Almost forgot the corn bread was outstanding, so moist! Now for what took it out of 5 stars, sorry but there is always room to grow. For a BBQ restaurant serving killer BBQ it didn't have the smells of a BBQ place, no smoke smell etc. they smoke everything there in house, but no sign of a smoke house. The walls are mostly bare, but heard they were planning to put in barnboards on the walls, etc. this will help with the look of the restaurant. We wanted to try the ribs and greens but they were sold out of each. ive this family run local owned restaurant a try. Don't forget to get the corn bread and the beans.

The food is awesome! Four kinds of sauce so enough to please every taste. The beans were great, the Mac and cheese was amazing. Adult Mac and cheese. And then there is the corn bread! It was our grandson's birthday and they gave him a cornbread for dessert. It was so good!!!!

Nice little stop for BBQ. My brother who used to own a BBQ joint near Philadelphia gave it a two thumbs up. Good solid meats and tasty, no mayo slaw, good collard greens, tasty cornbread and friendly staff

Attended the soft opening today, highly recommend! Quality BBQ, fast service and very friendly staff. I had the Brisket sandwich and my wife had the "fat face" sandwich, both were fantastic, the cook gave us a large piece of his cornbread to try with the declaration that we would be back begging for more, he was right! The only bbq joint in town and they did it right, bravo. The inside dining area is not gigantic but it's comfortable and sufficient. We will return!

    Delicious!

Went with husband, on a trip to Lake Canandaigua…read more We both ordered the Yardman breakfast with home fries, onions, and peppers. It also includes 2 strips of bacon, a piece of ham, and a sausage patty. Sounds delicious, but the home fries are not from home, they are likely frozen, and they were way overdone. I couldn't even get my fork into many, and they were so bland. I doused them in ketchup and the "awesome sauce" on the table. No help. The pepper and onions were largely absent.. They were so finely diced, and also overcooked, it was easy to miss. Sausage, bacon, and ham were VERY crispy and a little burnt, but they were still tasty. The eggs were spot on. It came with meat sauce or sausage gravy. Both were very rich. I passed on my meat sauce (too much allspice and/or nutmeg for me). Husband ate his gravy. He said it was sausage forward, with little gravy, but definitely scratch made and good. Full points for that. Coffee was ok, nothing great, a little weak. Now, I will give them credit as we came in at the end of breakfast. So maybe that was it. We got what they had left. The staff was great! I think we missed the mark and should have gone with garbage plates.

Thankfully, they answered the phone and let us know they open at 9:00. The two people working were very nice and went out of their way to whip up a small batch of sausage gravy for me. My husband loved the meat sauce (we don't have anything like this back home). Don't bother with the coffee though-just get a bottled beverage-they have plenty of choices!

I called to make sure they had a place to sit down and they did! The large cheese steak is 16" long so we decided to share one. I also added a side of mac salad. We added peppers, onions and mushrooms to the sandwich. The roll was amazing and found out they are delivered daily from Philadelphia!! The steak was tender and not greasy. We also enjoyed the mac salad. It was a very pleasant experience and the gentleman who took our order was very friendly.

We had a few questions about the menu and the person working was happy to help. My husband asked for meat sauce on his cheese steak and they added this at no additional charge. I was shocked by how much they loaded on there with no fee. He was very happy with his food. I loved my cheesesteak as well. The fries were piping hot and fresh. We forgot how filling the cheesesteaks could be and were not able to finish all our fries. I love the mural in the dining area and the comfy booths. Pricing wasn't too bad. We ordered one combo and one additional cheesesteak and it was around 26 dollars for everything. We loved our visit and hope to visit again soon. 4 years is too long to go without Mac's.

So my party of two didn't get to eat here. But strange to turn people away when online, it states the business closes at 2pm. EDIT: If you post a sign on the door with specific hours but don't update your hours on Google, it can create confusion for customers. Additionally, there seems to be a discrepancy between the chalkboard outside, which lists a closing time of 2 PM, and the sign allegedly on the door which stated 11:30 AM close. We didn't even see the 11:30 sign. The hostess also mentioned a noon closing time. It might be helpful to ensure that all sources of information are aligned to avoid misunderstandings. For those seeking consistency, another option nearby, such as Simply Crepes, might be a better choice. If the owner is responding to Yelp reviews, I'm sure he's tech savvy enough to update hours on Google. Also, if last call is 11:30 and we walked in before 11:15, not sure why we weren't able to be seated.

Rachel our server was great at getting the girls real coloring books and a big assortment of crayons. Somebody is really thinking about the little kids. Huge selection of New York beers, wines, and ciders. I tasted the girl's cheese pizza. This is not your average cheese pizza. I truly wish I had taken the time to analyze the complexity of the sauce, because I would love to make something half as nice. Omah (the grandmother, my wife) had fried ravioli. The shells were nice, golden and crunchy. But the cheese filling was some magical mixture of mozz and ricotta that dazzled my tongue. I had the NY Burger. Background: I am not a New Yorker. I was raised in the deep South, and up to now had questioned the value of anything "New York." (Excepting my grandchildren and their mom, of course.) I expect pretentious and parochial, over-priced and lacking value. The burger I had at New York Kitchen was the best I've ever had. I'm 72. I'm a meat eater. I've eaten thousands and thousands of burgers. Hands down this was the best, ever. The meat itself was super tasty and juicy, perfectly cooked to my specification. The brioche roll was perfect. The Bibb lettuce and tomato perfect, too. The sauce? Magic and mystifying. I didn't expect a lot going in to the restaurant, because the architecture is striking. (In my experience, focus on environment takes focus off the food. New York Kitchen breaks all of my rules. I am so happy to have been there. Thanks to my son and his family!

It was nice to support this wonderful 501c3 organization but do think the tickets are quite pricey for what you get.
