I was skeptical of stopping here to get drinks, as I don't often try to stay away from sugary drinks when drinking alcohol. But these were nicely balanced, and of course very refreshing in that humid tropical heat. The staff was very friendly and helpful with making suggestions with the menu. We ended up getting the $12 souvenir squeeze bottle which was nice to carry around and drink out of as you wish. Refills with that were only $9 which was also nice. However, it's just a plastic squeeze bottle with a Flying Monkeys logo on the cozy. The 16oz souvenir cup looks more worth the price, as I'm guessing that will last longer if you want a souvenir to bring home. But the squeeze bottles did the trick and we kept coming back to get those refills. This is a place I would strongly recommend! read more

When you think of the classic beach cocktails, Flying Monkeys have many options to choose from. Their drinks are from a dispenser and not fresh, but still taste delicious. You can mix and match. They even have a few recommendations. I got the mudslide. It was sooooooooooo good. It was sweet and rich. Tasted like a boozy milkshake. My husband got the pina colada and grape one. They were both good and made you feel like you were on vacation. They have a walk-up bar where you can stand and drink on the go. However, you can sit at the bar by entering through the restaurant. Overall, it was a good time with good drinks. Perfect to combat the Key West heat. read more

Cool place to catch a much needed drink located right on Duval Street. We were getting a bite to eat at the restaurant that is connected next door Fogarty's. Well Fogarty's is one thing ie look for that review for more details. So as our meal ended I got a frozen drink to go. Wished I just walked over here and got it myself as our waitress who was a bit clueless didn't even properly up sale me and offer one of their cool containers. When she brought me the drink I asked than she tells me oh yeah if you get the larger drink refills are discounted. She is a bit nuts as it was a very hot day and who couldn't use a bigger drink. Especially since I wasn't drunk you would think I am obviously a tourist and this is one of the many reasons to come to Duval street. Anyway back to Flying Monkeys great name and the design on my cup looked like the monkeys that flew in the Wizard of Oz. Very cute clean bar and more importantly the drink was delicious. Will definitely come back my next visit to Key West. read more

The food was not good we order the you peel shrimp they were so over done and so salty we didn't eat them the Mahi sandwich was ok the fries were cold our waiter was around he disappeared for awhile we need mayo for the sandwich . Is not worth eating here . Pricey as well read more

When in a tourist town, like Key West, you really don't expect excellence but that's what we found here. Great flavor, great ambience, great portions and service. Table of seven ordered fish tacos, pork, vegetarian and appetizers. All well executed. Okay, a friend of mine REALLY REALLY insisted that we stop here on our trip recommending pretty much every frozen beverage. This awesome little Gem could be quickly missed...tucked in right next to Fogarty's. A quick frozen drinks stop (you can get a closed bottle which I recommend bc most stores are not open beverage friendly) and continue on you way. We wandered up and down Duval street and kept returning for more. I had 2 of the Banana Breeze and it will forever be my favorite...although the Mudslide was a calling. My friend had the Banana Breeze and Creamcicle. She seemed to enjoy the Banana Breeze more, but the Creamcicle was gone pretty quick too. Key West would not be the experience it is without the Flying Monkey. This is a staple of every trip whether it is business or pleasure. My favorite things about this place: Atmosphere - People watching at the bar is my favorite pass time Tons of seating Booze - Delicious, plentiful, affordable Food - the bar food is awesome. I tried the shrimp bacon club and the conch fritter. If you're going to be staying in the Keys for a few days and will be enjoying a lot of adult beverages I highly recommend getting their souvenir cup ($10 and $7 for refills). It's convenient, makes your boozer cheaper, keeps it from melting as fast, and its cute and reusable. Service is exactly what you'd except in the Keys, extra friendly, a bit on the slower side, but always with a smile. Other great things about Flying Monkey = good music, located right on Duval street, their shop has awesome t-shirts and they give 10% discount if you bring your Flying Monkey recipe. It's impossible to have a bad time here. read more

Really great frozen drinks! Virgin to key west and found Flying Monkeys by googling for frozen cocktails. Hands down best was The dirty Monkey, followed by Banana Breeze, the Grainorade, Piña Colada, Pain in the Ass and then Rum Runner. Can't wait to try the others on future visits! Had dinner at Fogarty's (which is the attached restaurant) one night with a group of 7. Things we tried that were fantastic included The Sliders, Mahi-Mahi Bites, Peppered Ahi Tuna, Bruschetta, Tex-Amex Rolls and the Crusted Chicken Romano. The Cuban Pork bowl was also l good, but the most flavorful thing in that dish was probably the 2 small slices of plantains. I don't necessarily regret getting the Cuban Pork Bowl, but I would not get it again on vacation, if you have limited nights here take a chance on one of the other menu items. read more

This place not only has the best frozen drinks but the food is terrific as well (I think technically the restaurant goes by Fogarty's). Even my picky husband said his burger tasted great. Although their seating is outdoors, they have lots of fans strategically placed so it is tolerable even on hot Florida days. We got the refillable cups and came back for frozen drink refills at a discount another night. We tried frozen drinks at other places during our stay but agree (so far) this place had the best. Good food, good drinks, venue right on Duval Street for the action (just don't get offended when a guy walks by hollering in shorts showing his bare butt cheeks, this is Key West!)...what more could you need? read more

This was the second stop on the Pub Crawl excursion. It is a decent sized outdoor bar ~ maybe about 10 or so stools to sit directly at the bar and a number of tables and chairs to accommodate the additional traffic. Here, I chose the drink affectionately known as the grain train. I'm told that the grain train is made with 3 different grain alcohols...nice and strong. Who could resist such a beautiful slushy beverage? I was not at all disappointed. The bar tender was pretty cool as well. Excursion or not, if you're in Key West, I definitely recommend stopping by The Flying Monkey...unless it is raining, of course. read more

Nice way to cool off on a hot sunny day. I stopped in during my visit to Key West for some afternoon cocktails. Our waiter sold us on the 22oz souvenir cups (the cups guarantee you discounted refills) which were totally worth it considering it was 94 degrees and we went back a different day. I got a pina colada and my husband got their monkey slush and added rum to it. I do suggest adding the floaters; (unless you've had a few too many already ) the drinks are a little weak. read more

We are here a couple times while down in Key West. Everything we order was greasy, huge plates and really reasonably priced. You can either sit outside under the misters or inside with the AC. All the staff was attentive and friendly. Great place to get frozen alcoholic drinks. read more

I came here like 2 years ago when I was on a cruise with my boyfriend and just because I loved it so much, I had to come back and get a Pain in the Ass slushy drink again while we were in Key West yesterday. It didn't disappoint again and was perfectly made. Our server was incredibly quick to attend and serve us, as well. We got hungry while we were there so a couple of my friends ordered some food and were super happy with the service and their orders. One drink does the trick but was definitely up for seconds!! Awesome frozen drinks - and portable! My wife and stopped here during our recent stay in Key West on a recommendation from a friend. This was my first foray into the world of Conch Fritters, and they did not disappoint! But, before we ate, we indulged in a few of Flying Monkeys frozen alcoholic beverages - basically, an adult slushie. We first tried the Skittles flavor and then moved on to Mango and Pina Colada. Stopped in to this place to get an escape from the blistering heat and was so happy that I did! They have a whole wall (literally) of flavors and I got the frozen strawberry margarita. It comes in a 16oz cup (but there is a bigger size as well for those who want even more). I was pleasantly surprised that I really couldn't taste the alcohol in it (which is how I like my frozen concoctions) and it was the perfect drink to pair with a walk down Duval street. It was also reasonably priced at $8. The only downside is that there were some people smoking outside when we stepped up and until I got my drink, it was a bit hard to escape the smell. So for people sensitive to smoke, you may want to watch out for that before ordering. read more

BARTENDER STOLE MY CARD! She acted like she gave it back but never did. Then when I asked the manager to check the cameras he said he did when he obviously didn't. BEWARE !!!! After I left they called and said they found the card after I wrote bad reviews and had my card cancelled! I told them I had to catch the last bus and stayed there the whole time til I had no time left so she could find my card, she never did.. she knew what she was doing. read more

The Flying Monkeys bar has been serving Key West's best frozen drinks for decades. Walking down Duval Street, you might recognize our souvenir cups or Flying Monkeys squeeze bottles! Flying Monkeys is a part of Fogarty's, which is located in the historic Fogarty Mansion. They say the old house, built in 1875, is haunted... but the only spirits we can promise are those at the bar!

We normally pickup a couple sandwiches... hubby gets the VEGETARIAN and I get the VEGAN... both of them on baguette. Let's not forget they are a bakery and that bread is delicious. Now and then we think of the kids (grown-ups) and pick them up goodies too. My husband and my older son love the O.M.G. BROWNIE. Personally I think it's too rich but they love them. My other son is simpler so I try new stuff for him. Don't miss out.... if you are in Key West, then do yourself a favor and visit !

The cashier answered all of my questions about the wrap, which made me feel confident in my choice. The wait wasn't long, especially since everything is made fresh. The fries came out hot and definitely needed a minute to cool down, and the wrap was warm on the outside while the inside stayed cool and fresh. Everything was tasty, and the pickle was a nice touch to round out the meal. Fisherman's is a small restaurant with limited seating, but there are several benches across the walkway where you can sit and enjoy your food while watching the boats and people nearby.
