My husband and I have been ordering pizza from here for over a decade, and it's definitely our favorite local pizza! Just ordered two 10inch pizzas for lunch for pickup, and not only were they ready about 25 minutes before the pickup time indicated, they were perfectly topped and baked. I live here the cheese is super stretchy and the crust has a bit of a crispy texture to the edges. Got a nice portion of pepperoni too. The staff is always friendly no matter how busy it is. Rarely had an issue with an order and on the rare occasions it happened, they were always very quick to fix it. :) read more

One of our favorite locations! One of the best aspects, is how cozy it is. The atmosphere is unique, low ceilings, and of course, great pizza and dishes. I enjoy bellying up at the small bar. I am writing this review as I wait for the Fairview manager to return my call. I have been a customer for over 20 years. We like to add items to their speciality pizzas. The last two orders were identical other than the sizes of the pies. In both cases they omitted either one or both additional items from one or both of the pies. Both times this has happened they have not showed me the pies before checking out. The veggie pie, that was supposed to have Italian sausage added, was also burnt on the bottom - also a first in my years of ordering. The first time (January) this happened the manager called me and said he would credit my card for the cost of the pies. According to my statements that never happened. As much as I enjoy the pizza I am going top stop ordering from them and find another local pizza place. I'll be looking on the west side of Boise or Meridian. read more

Went in on Friday night, July 3, 2026 for the first time. Exhausted from a job and starving. It was late. Boise rolls up their carpets early for food and I'd been doing manual labor...not dressed for a restaurant. Unassuming place with just regular folks. I was waited on immediately. Pizza came quick and was THE BEST PIZZA I've ever had, except for maybe the stuff I used to make for my kids when they were still home. Great service too. Loved the clientele. A family with a few kids, two 20 something women laughing and talking, a table full of seniors, guys fully tattooed and people praying over their food. I didn't just enjoy the pizza. Place was pure joy. Oh, and I have trouble swallowing. Things with wheat in them and certain other textures get me. (One reason I haven't stopped here before.) I absolutely did not have an issue with this crust. That is rare. I've eaten a lot of pizza in my life...earlier years, lots of pizza lovers in the home. I have been eating at Flying Pie since 1994. Primarily the location on State Street in Boise. It's always been very good, authentic crust and quality ingredients and lots of them. 90% of the time we have ordered it to go because quite frankly the ambience needs updating at this location. Service is always great. Staff is always friendly and the pizza is always delicious. We order our thin crust typically. Love the great Zambini and the Zerto Magnifico, best Hawaiian pizza I have ever had anywhere in US and of course the meat lovers is my hubbys favorite. read more

THIS REVIEW PERTAINS TO THE BROADWAY LOCATION. Always a mystery, and now a deal breaker, as to why this location--right next to BSU and heavily marketed--is so short-staffed. Late night, one very diligent and personable young server tried to take care of 37 customers and food delivery orders. She had a helper, but he was clearly a trainee, and he actually slowed her down. We arrived just after opening, having pre-ordered the pie. The pie they made for us was overcooked. dark on the bottom, dried out on the top. The Triple Pie was so spicy I literally could not eat it. My husband's Samoan pie was piping hot, so much so that he could not eat any of it, and finally after about 15 minutes we asked for a box and took the rest home. Took me 5 min to get a human who then took my order then sent me to the automated system to confirm it. If I wanted to deal with a robot I would have dealt with the robot. Absolutely abysmal food. The worst pizza we have ever had. Ordered this on the way from Portland Oregon to visit family in Salt Lake City. Cold, tasteless, hard. I found myself in Boise this week. I work graveyard and had to drive 7 hours today. I was craving Chinese but could not find a restaurant near me. I passed this place and there were a lot of cars in the parking lot. I ordered a medium sausage, pepperoni, and Canadian bacon, with mushrooms and tomatoes pizza. This is a order at the counter, and find a seat kind of place. Decor in the place is kind of whimsical painting on the wall. There is a horn by the door you honk if you enjoyed the food. I placed my order at 6:21 pm and the receipt says I should get it a half hour later. It's now 7pm and still no pizza. 7:05 was the magic time! Hope it's good! Hmm...I don't not like the pizza. I don't love the pizza. The crust is not thick or thin. It holds up when you pull out a slice. There is definitely too much cheese. More than my liking. I couldn't taste the sauce until I got closer to the crust. As I picked through the pizza , I didn't see any Canadian bacon or sausage. Like I said, it wasn't the best and it's not the worst. If I could make this -100,000,000,000+, I would. It was "my day" last weekend and I was stoked to finally see my name on the sign at the state street location Saturday night. My friends and I saw and excitedly "flipped a U-E" and headed I. So I could proudly accept my prize. I had been waiting for years for this as Flying Pie had always been our go-to- admittedly the quality and service has definitely been on the downside over the course of the last few years. We walked in to the COMPLETELY EMPTY restaurant and I told them my name and that I was there to make my special pizza. The 4 male workers completely shamed me and rudely embarrassed me in front of my friends. Apparently the name of the day was a few days old and they hadn't changed the sign because of the snow. Apparently a local Idaho company can't trouble themselves to change a sign or honor a local tradition although kindergartners can make it to school and thousands are able to scrape snow off of their windshields and function like humans acclimated to their environment. Not only did they not honor their "sale" after I told them we would be ordering beers and additional pizzas to support the ghost town of a pizza spot at 8:30pm on a Saturday night, but they were condescending and blatantly rude. We live in the 'hood and this has been out go to spot for years. These 4 bullies lost all of our future business. Oh and by the way- it's still my day and there is no snow anywhere near the sign or in the parking lot. Do better Flying Pie- for real. read more

The 12-inch single has six habaneros, the heat equivalent of five pounds of jalapeños. Add another six for a double and so on until you reach the quadruple. Packed with 24 habs. Plus, the triple and quadruple get decked out with a drizzling of a ghost pepper sauce to make it even worse. I mean, stronger. These aren't for the faint of heart. And they're only available during the summer, until they go into hibernation for another year. They started the tab pizza as a gimmick, but quickly learned customers actually liked them. Thus started a summer tradition. And good thing. You should only eat the hab pizza with a fork. That prevents you from touching the treacherous peppers and then rubbing your eyes, nose or other places you don't want to start a five-alarm fire. Milk or ice cream can keep the heat in your mouth in check. Water, pop or beer and pepper oil don't mix. Drink those at your peril; they'll only make it worse. read more
