I took my Bulldog Butters here to understand why he was having a seizure like event (turned out to be syncopes) in his sleep, but only during deep sleep, then losing control of his bladder. Let's get right to business, this place runs a massive imaging scam. They will tell you they think that your pet has a tumor on their heart, do untold thousands worth of scans, let you worry all weekend, and then when you take him back in they tell you "He doesn't have a tumor, he has severe sleep apnea and he's losing oxygen due to it, we can operate tomorrow." Already out multiple thousands of dollars due to this scam, I obviously agree to pay $3200 for this surgery (that usually runs MAXIMUM $1000) to make sure my best buddy is feeling okay. They've run tests, his red blood cell count is down but assure me in a day or two he can have his surgery. I drop Butters off for surgery, pay them $3200, and am worried sick. At noon, they call and tell me he made it through surgery, everything is fine. I'm ecstatic, can finally rest and pick him up the next day. At 3:30, I get a call that my best bud is no longer with us, and that the "surgeon" wanted to put him back under because his breathing got heavier to "Trim some swelling off". Now I'm not a doctor, but I know bs when I smell it. They did not have permission to put him back under, and my buddy died so the dr could go home. Furious, I come up to the vet, and see my little boy lying dead on a rolling cart, and they bring me a receipt for the bill, tell me it will be $350 to cremate him, and $50 if I want his paw print. AFTER THEY KILLED HIM. I tried to talk to the surgeon, who ducked me at all costs. I ended up speaking to their anesthesiologist, who barely spoke English, and had conflicting stories from the surgeon, and I caught both of them in several lies. They never checked butters red blood cell count, and did not properly treat him post surgery (IE Mandatory oxygen tent and intubated until they can't stand it anymore, I learned he was only intubated for several minutes after and thrown in a cage, then given a downer to calm his breathing, prior to dosing him to put him back under which ultimately stopped his heart). I had Oklahoma State University and Texas A&M BOTH review Butters case over the past year and they said its the most absurd case of vet negligence that they've ever seen and I should reach out via lawyers. Not to mention the people running the phones and the desk for whatever reason act like you aren't worth their time and they have somewhere better to be. Obviously because they killed my friend I disputed the transaction for the surgery where they killed him on my card, which this place then disputed??? They told me the surgeon was no longer with them, and I should sue him if I felt so inclined. DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE TAKE YOUR PET HERE.

I had to take my 14-year-old dog here recently due to some seizure-like symptoms and was struck -- even in my anxious state -- by how clean the waiting room was (a feeling that continued with the waiting rooms). A nurse came out to check on my dog even as I was first talking with the person at the reception desk. The nurse was fantastic overall, and I hate that I can't recall his name; he was so sweet with our dog and compassionate with us. With regards to costs, we knew that emergency care was expensive, but he was clear that they come up with the "maximum option" for a diagnostic/treatment plan by default and that there would be plenty of ways to work together to trim back the plan if necessary (which I prefer to a "bottom line" plan that ends up needing a lot of additions). The veterinarian was also kind, knowledgeable, and clear when we spoke to her -- she didn't get overwhelmingly technical with us, nor did she talk down to us. Overall, as we were the only ones there that night, we were in and out within 90 minutes, and that's with consultations, testing, and the time it takes for test results. The office is kind enough to have some snacks, bottled water, and coffee available for families, which was comforting. We didn't get any long-term questions about what caused my dog's event solved here, and I wasn't expecting to. I took her to rule out any emergency causes, and that's exactly what they did for us. They were also very transparent about what should be done that night and what could safely wait for a regular veterinary appointment. I hope I don't have to come here again, but I will feel absolutely confident about returning here with my pets if I ever need to. They clearly care about pets -- and their human families.

We arrived before 11pm. My dog has a bacterial infection. How do I know this? Well he gave it to my husband and I. When we told the nurse this she immediately got defensive. We then proceeded to get a fecal test done to which the nurse got facies on her and then continued to spread it all over our dog and the table and never sanitized anything. After all of that and the tests were run we were told it is a bacterial infection, they don't know what kind of bacteria, and if we pay an additional $1000.00 they could find out. However, the estimate was for X-rays and other excessive things. The vet Johnson NOT doctor was not only unhelpful, but uneducated. Everyone there cares more about lining their pockets than animal care. We ended up just taking antibiotics and leaving with a $415.00 bill. Our dog is still sick, no one at the vet was helpful and it's at the price of a 15lbs dog.

We were out of town visiting my in laws and she got into some food she shouldn't have while we were out. Being the nervous pet parents we are we rushed to find a vets office close by that was open. I called Vet 1 care and Iris answered. She was very calming while also providing just the right amount of concern. We took Bella in and were immediately taken back into a room. Iris and the vet on call were both very sweet to Bella even though they were both very tired from working all night (on Christmas!) and very patient with all of our questions. They walked us thru every single step and made sure we understood every charge before they did anything to her. They made recommendations based off of what was truly needed and what was nice to have. It was refreshing to have someone be so honest and open instead of just looking to make a quick buck. In the end Bella got some medicine and we were done in about an hour. The next day Iris called me just to check in and make sure Bella felt better. She also remembered we were from TN and asked how our drive back was and how our Christmas was. Great customer service! If you are looking for a vet in Jacksonville i highly recommend this place.

I took her there to see why she's not eating but they decided to milk me as much as possible and keep her overnight. I paid $1500 for that alone. Then the vet assumed that she has an eye problem because she squints her right eye (She's been doing that since she was a kitten when she's nervous and every single time I bring her there they try to mess with it) Anyway, WITHOUT MY CONSENT, he decided that she needs to have an ulcer removed from her eye and messed with it. They called me in the morning and said that they'll keep her for the duration of the afternoon and won't charge me (bs, they charged me another $200) I come back, the vet said to monitor her eating and to let them know how it goes. THEN one of the workers, a rude man with an atttude, brings out my cat in a CONE and tells me I have to use eydrops and an ointment on my cat 3x a day. Something the vet didn't mention AT ALL. So imagine spending $1700 for them not to determine why my cat isn't eating and also maiming her. She still doesn't want to eat and hides from me because of the eydrops. Her eye is slowly going blind. They literally blinded my cat and charged me $1700z Vet is too scared to talk to me and tells his subordinates to answer me. And this is how they treated a customer of 5 years!!! Imagine how they will treat your pet if you're new. Never ever ever go there.
