This place is legit. Excellent chicken sandwiches and the loaded fries aren't "light" but they are certainly filling and flavorful. The servers are welcoming and wonderful and on weekdays there are usually a few high tops and outdoor tables available for a quick, comfy bite and drinks. While I'm not drinking these days, I do appreciate the long and ample beer list with local faves recently including a "Chillsner" which is both a convenient moniker and a beautiful dad-joke. I had a craving for chicken tenders and fries in the location, and so I gravitated towards Foghorn Taproom for its Nashville Tender Meal: 2 Nashville Hot tenders with fries and sauce. While they were making the fresh chicken tenders and fries, my friend and I played table shuffleboard in this bar-like restaurant that has darkly decorated walls and tables. I took the Nashville Tender Meal to-go and ate the meal outdoors. While the chicken tenders were fresh, they were only somewhat crunchy, and I did not find anything special about the chicken tenders. The proportion of fries that were somewhat soggy was also a lot more compared to the chicken tenders. Overall, I can imagine this place being a fun pub-like location for a night out, but I am unsure about the food quality when I went during my specific time. I ordered buffalo (extra crispy), Nashville (hot), and Hot Honey Crunch and they were all not only perfectly cooked, awesome in flavor, and absolutely enormous but they also arrived hot and crispy via delivery! These may be my new favorite SF wings. Prices are reasonable, about $9/5 wings. I also got the Loaded Nashville Fries (xtra hot) and I loved the combination of flavors. I'd say the Nashville tenders are even better than the Nashville wings. Lemon pepper was SO GOOD. Probably the best lemon pepper I've had ever. They don't just use any lemon pepper dry rub seasoning and toss it around. You can actually taste the lemon in it. My friends got the 2 Louisiana tenders and fries. As for drinks, we got a few flights where they offered 4 tasters for $12. I am pretty sure most if not all of their drafts are local, which is a plus. They have outdoor and indoor seating with a fun game inside to play. First off me and my girlfriend had a plan to go to Loving Hut next door for date night. Bummer that Loving Hut only had take out due to the pandemic. What to do? What to do? We decided to go to the Foghorn Taproom next door. The kind gentleman here allowed us to make a purchase to use their patio for take out food from Loving Hut. I am a teetotaler aka I don't drink yet my girlfriend enjoys a good glass of wine or beer now and then. She went with a Pinot Noir from 2018 aka wine from Chile that she loved and had a bit along with taking the rest home. We got to enjoy our vegan cuisine on the lovely outdoor patio.
