A cute joint for small bites and conversations. Beers are here refreshing and tasty. Wings are also creative and big!!! The burger was alright, nothing surprising. Overall, it's a cute place. The staff here is nice and identifies with this place. I like it.

Walked by with my group to grab a beer and a bite to eat. Ordered: uncle Ben's rice bowl 7/10, chicken skewer bowl 6/10, and #10 fieldwork sour 5/10. Rice bowls were good, it's bar food so wasn't expecting anything crazy. For my GARLIC lovers, there are cloves of garlic in uncle Ben's bowl. Loved it. Chicken for both bowls were dry. My friends rate the wings 7/10. It was buffalo. And they ordered chicken sandwich - solid 7/10. Ordered at the front of the bar, nice guy. No cocktails during the time I went. I really wanted to try the guava and the strawberry lemonade cocktails. But maybe next time. Other than that, cool/simple bar - 4 tvs. Only one bathroom, it's definitely a bar bathroom.

Ordered delivery for 2... 5 piece buffalo, 5 piece lemon pepper, 5 garlic Parmesan. The chicken falls off the bone and the quality of the chicken wings themselves were good-- not too fatty, not too overfried, not too meaty, not skimpy. My partner and I agreed all flavors could be juuuuuuuust a little more tasty though. I'm sure it tastes great with a beer! Glad I finally tried out this neighborhood spot.

    Nashville Tender Meal

I came here on a weekday night, and this location was pretty empty except for a few passerbyers. I had a craving for chicken tenders and fries in the location, and so I gravitated towards Foghorn Taproom for its Nashville Tender Meal: 2 Nashville Hot tenders with fries and sauce. While they were making the fresh chicken tenders and fries, my friend and I played table shuffleboard in this bar-like restaurant that has darkly decorated walls and tables. I took the Nashville Tender Meal to-go and ate the meal outdoors. While the chicken tenders were fresh, they were only somewhat crunchy, and I did not find anything special about the chicken tenders. The proportion of fries that were somewhat soggy was also a lot more compared to the chicken tenders. Overall, I can imagine this place being a fun pub-like location for a night out, but I am unsure about the food quality when I went during my specific time. I would love to come here during a busier time and try the food, however!

20 wings each for me and my 13 year old son. Loaded fries we're fiyah.

Mary grace was our server and dhe made our first experience her unforgettable. She was polite, lively, and full of energy. The wings were excellent and the was better. This will be our new go to spot. Ill be bringing the rest of the family soon! Give Mary grace a raise! She definitely deserves it for her prestige customer service and attentiveness.

Zero flats. This is some second rate wing place garbage.

No flats. I guess its that kind of attention to detail that leads to only two tables being taken up. Kitchen's fault. Server was fine.

High hopes for this place as many around me raved about it, but this visit didn't live it up to it. Came in on a Friday evening for online pickup, kitchen was really backed. Few people seated inside and others outdoors, I could hear the customers concerned about how long their food was taking (not sure how long they were waiting themselves). Seems like it's a small kitchen, seating area is pretty spacious as they have inside/outside option. Lots of TVs so a pretty good sports bar option. Food: 1.5/5. I ordered their Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich and was not impressed whatsoever. Chicken was dry, the whole sandwich was. Bread was burnt and the coleslaw was just plastered on top, there were no pickles and no spice to this. The sandwich was not as advertised in any way. I also ordered their Season Fries (extra cost) and was given plain ones. Disappointed in this experience with their food... just might only recommend this place if you're looking to grab a drink and watch sports.

The place is clean and it has a lot of TV inside so can keep the kids busy. You need to order your food at the front desk or you can order online through your phone. The chicken wings are tender and tasty. Love the fries and the chicken tenders were big and delicious. The chicken sandwich is juicy and delicious as well. This place is better than I expected. And it has lunch specials seem very good deal, will recommend this restaurant if you want some finger food and will come back try the lunch specials for sure

Nashville Fried Chicken Sandwich and Loaded Fries

I am so glad we went here!!! The Nashville Sandwich was everything we wanted and so filling after a day of exploring Golden Gate Park and the Academy of Sciences. Actually he couldn't even finish the whole sandwich and was still full 6 hours later, so don't underestimate it! Loaded Fries hit so hard! Pretty much everything you expect it to be in terms of flavors, in their little description, but actually surprised by the amount of chicken they put!! I ordered an extra tender thinking I would wanna add it on top or just to have for some extra protein, but I felt like it put me over the edge in terms of how filling it was. We came at kind of a weird time since we got hungry after a day of activities. Everyone there was working on their laptops with a beer, which I actually wanna come back and do because it sounds so perfect honestly and feel like that's super unique to offer that type of environment. Good for those who have been looking for something other than cafes to frequent. Since we went around 3-4pm on a weekday, we weren't really hitting any type of meal rush or happy hour so it wasn't really crowded but definitely had a good flow of customers! They have some unique beers on tap and prices are so reasonable, especially for the city, like genuinely think it's a great place to try! They have something for everyone.

Very simple meals with beers. I've only gotten their takeout and haven't really hung out in there, but every time I pass by, it looks busy and seems like a great place to socialize. I got the wings and brussel sprouts, can't beat it :)

    Alice S.

I came here expecting typical bar food, but wow I was pleasantly surprised by how delicious everything here was! I came here on a Saturday around 7:45pm, and this place was less than half filled. I ended up getting a table next to the shuffleboard and played a little before my food arrived. I got the Nashville hot chicken sandwich, which was delicious! My only complaint is that it wasn't spicy enough for me because I'm big on spicy food. I got it xtra hot, but I should've gone one level up because there wasn't enough of a kick. I also tried some fries, which I originally didn't plan on consuming. But the fries here are seasoned so nicely that I couldn't help but keep munching on them! The wings here were really good as well. Of course, there's a decent selection of beer on tap here. I went with a sour and thoroughly enjoyed it.

    New set up

Usually great. My run club comes every Tuesday night. New set up makes no sense. Slows service down, requiring long walks for staff for drinks and kitchen, extended time between processing each customer, hurts customer experience. server (who is great) gone for extended periods running to kitchen, beers etc. change it back.

    Mediterranean Wrap, Brussel sprouts

Was really looking forward to trying this spot because the menu looked great. Big shoutout to the staff member in the front, he was friendly and welcoming. I visited during lunch to try the Happy Hour Special and ordered the Mediterranean Wrap with a side of Brussels sprouts (+$2). While the wrap was decent, the Brussels sprouts unfortunately came out extremely overcooked/ burnt (photo attached). They were so blackened to the point where I really questioned what it was and couldn't eat them. I unfortunately had to dump them. Hoping this was just a one-off day.

I stopped by around 4:30 p.m. and there were a few tables where I saw folks finishing up their work day on their laptops with a beer. It's neither overly crowded, nor overly loud, which is perfect for getting work done. Since it was the World Cup and many guests would be camping out for the entire match, table service has a per person minimum spend of $25. This is a really a non-issue because a cocktail is around $15, so two drinks, or one drink with some food, will easily hit this minimum. My wife and I shared crispy pork schnitzel ($17) and an order of their deviled eggs ($12). The deviled eggs were nicely seasoned and included a small salad shrimp on top for some variety. The pork schnitzel was perfectly fried and the potatoes in the included side-salad was well-cooked and not over dressed. I would recommend enjoying the schnitzel with some mustard. Both drinks that I ordered -- an Old Fashioned and a Boulvardier, were well prepared. No notes here. Service here was top notch. Throughout our stay, our server checked up on us multiple times and we never had to wait long to place another order for drinks. Tipping options on the receipt include pre-calculated 18%, 20%, and 22% options (on top of the 5% SF Mandate). Last but not least, the restaurant had clean bathrooms and a bunch of large TV screens on every wall. If you're looking to watch a sports match, Sam's Tavern is the place to go!

All seating is bar style with high tables hence the name "Hardwood Bar." The food was okay and I'd much rather go to Fikscue if I'm feeling BBQ next time to be honest. We shared ribs and each of us got an entree. One of my friends often orders from here for delivery and was excited to try it in person so that the food would be hot. Surprisingly, our tri tip and brisket came out slightly cold so it wasn't that different from delivery... The ribs were okay and not the most tender. Our server was great and service was good despite the restaurant being relatively full and served by one person. What I find the most perplexing is how they calculate the "SF mandate" fee and sales tax. I'm local to SF so I'm used to restaurants tacking on this "SF mandate"/"SF healthy mandate" fee, but their calculations just seem a bit off (see receipt). If we're calculating this correctly, 4% of $130.40 should be $5.22 and 8.63% of $130.40 should be $11.25. If you include the SF mandate fee in the tax calculation, then the $11.74 is right (if you include their calculation of the SF mandate fee). I'm not going to argue over a 50 cents or so but it's the principle of it! They should definitively state the actual % of 4.35% they're charging instead of just stating 4%. I mean at scale -- it adds up right? It rubbed me the wrong way for sure.

Evidence of this two-star review is the low turnout of customers on even a weekend night. Just 2-3 people in this large space.
