Cute neighborhood spot for a glass of wine and a sandwich !! Came on a Sunday afternoon with two dogs- all the outdoor seats were taken but I asked if they could set up an extra table for us and they were very accommodating! (Dogs allowed outside only) Food was tastyyyyy - highly recommend their shrimp hoagie!! Also tried their garlic cheese dip, burrata & white beans. All tasty. Great spot for a casual cute lunch or din!

Really nice spot for sandwiches in Outer Sunset! Vibe felt classy and very chill-- a spot you could sit at for hours and chat with someone or read a book. I tried the au poivre sandwich (roast beef, arugula, apple) and shrimp salad sandwich (shrimp, mayo, tomato, chips, lettuce) and the shrimp salad one was my favorite by far. Both sandwiches were difficult to eat due to their size but very very filling and tasty. I loved how the shrimp salad one had chips inside. The way the ingredients are positioned in the sandwich makes it hard to get a bite with all the ingredients though, so it will get messy. The bread is so good though! They also have salads that look delicious & lots of wine options! Would definitely come back. Outdoor seating was super nice on a sunny day. Service was a bit slow but friendly.

I saw on their Instagram that they had a new turkey club hoagie! I love turkey sandwiches so I and to come to try it. I came for an early dinner on a Friday at about 4:30 and was seated right away. The turkey club was great! Lots of turkey and the perfect ratio of meat, cheese, tomatoes and lettuce. And as always, they use the best ingredients. Love the new addition to the menu!

Amazing spot! We came on a Sunday afternoon and grabbed a table fairly quick. We got a salad, the burrata, and a sandwich to split and everything was so fresh and amazing! The ambiance was so cute, very clean inside. The service was a little weird though, our waiter wasn't the most friendly, I felt like a bother for asking for simple things like the check or another drink...

This review is purely for the service I received today. The food here is great and we have been customers for years. So I knew exactly what i wanted and ordered online so that I could pick it up and run. When i arrived, there was a long line to order. I went to the front, waited for the current customer to finish, then inquired about my online order. The cashier, appearing overwhelmed, told me to get in line. Then she asked for my name. I misunderstood that for she would let me know when my order was ready. After 5 mins in line, I watched another customer walk up to the preparation counter to ask for his takeaway order, which was promptly received. So I got out of my line to do the same and VOILA!! my order was waiting for me the entire time. (the gentleman who handed me the order was very welcoming) What is the point of ordering online when we still have to wait in line like walk-in customers. Please train your front-of-the-line staff better.

I came here with a friend, looking for a nice wine bar in the city. We decided to stop by Palm City Wines in the afternoon. They have plenty of seating indoors and outdoors (pets allowed outdoors). I decided to get a chilled red and my friend got some other type of red. The chilled red was very.. underwhelming. My friend's red also did not impress us. On the menu, it also said if you buy a bottle, they charge a corkage fee, which is a bit odd since it's in house. We did also order a small shareable garlic and cheese dip, which was incredible! After going home and reading some of the reviews of this place, it seems like their food is usually a hit (not much mention about their wines despite being a wine bar...). I'd love to try one of their hoagies next time but might skip on the wine.

Updating my review to 5 stars because these are seriously some of my favorite sandwiches in the city, and really ever. Also, they are absolutely massive and half is more than enough to fill you up. I've come in a number of times and have tried just about all the hoagies now. My standing favorite is the shrimp salad, I could order this every single time and be thrilled with my decision. The garlic roast pork with broccoli rabe is still a heavy hitter, as is the au poivre. I need to start coming with more people and sharing more so I can eat them all each time! Other non-hoagie favs include the spicy cheese dip and anchovies. The choves are super mild and easy to eat even if it's not your favorite thing, and the cheeses dip is just pretty much perfection. I still don't like getting wine by the bottle here because of the corkage fee on bottles you buy to drink there, but I do occasionally give in if we're in a group. They also have a nice by the glass section and a good selection of canned beers, and a few on draft.

This is a cute sandwich spot in the outer sunset. We came on a Sunday around 1pm. We had to share a table, which kind of sucked. The service was friendly and attentive. The food was pretty on point- we got the little gem salad and a sandwich. I would recommend after a chill day, spending time in the city.

Sandwiches are solid here! Stuffed with meat and toppings, you won't leave the place without being full. I preferred the Italian over the Roast Pork. Nothing beats a good sandwich and a glass of wine in the city. Staff is friendly.

This a great neighborhood spot with delicious wines and tasty snacks! Their inside is super cozy but they the outside is the place to be if the weather permits. Our server was very nice and constantly checking in on us! Looking forward to our next visit!

What a hip hoagie shop / wine bar / bottle shop in the Outer Sunset! They opened at the start of the pandemic, so kudos for surviving and pivoting and thriving!!! I've been twice now with a group of 5 or 6, and both times were great. The interior is light and bright with a wine bar, a few window seats and small tables, and a wine wall/bottle shop. The food menu is concise (a few sharable snacks, two salads, five hoagies). Everything is made fresh and so full of unique flavor combos! The hoagies are HUGE. I went for the Roasted Cauliflower. Cauliflower on a sandwich, you may ask? Yes! Highly recommend it (just wish I could add a protein). Roasted Cauliflower Hoagie: Spiced cauliflower, pickled carrots, fried shallots, hot honey, avocado, lemongrass-ginger sauce, cilantro Each of the 5 of us could only eat half of our hoagies. Saved the other half for dinner later that night. If I lived closer I'd visit often, and would enjoy some wine with my hoag! Visit and then venture over to the ocean!

Love this place. Beautiful sandwiches with generous portions. The place is nice but I prefer to eat my sandwiches in my car but wouldn't be opposed to eating inside. Staff is always nice when I do pick ups. The quality of their sandwiches really stands out and is worth the $20ish per sandwich. Good ingredients and good size.

Will they be open on Memorial Day weekend 2024?

What bakery supplies the hoagie roll? IF they are house made, is the hoagie roll sourdough?

Rosalind Bakery in Pacifica supplies their hoagie rolls.

Are the salads or any of the hot meals gluten free?

If you click “Order Now,” you get pictures and descriptions.

I'd like it if the owners could add descriptions, with ingredients, of the sandwiches on their website...not just the names. PLEASE?

Is it dog friendly ? How big is the outside area for seating Thx

From what I remember they have tables outside where you can sit with dog

This is especially helpful since it can get pretty cold waiting outside with the Ocean Beach winds. The venue is dimly lit and fairly loud, mostly from guests talking and eating, so it has a lively but somewhat noisy atmosphere. For our birthday dinner, we ordered the meatballs to share, calamari, three different pizzas, and three drinks. We didn't receive any special birthday extras, so I can't comment on whether they offer complimentary desserts or other birthday surprises. The pizzas are thin-crust and fairly loaded with toppings. They aren't overly saucy, which I liked. Of the three we tried, my ranking would be: Combo Hawaiian Clam Meat balls and calamari were cool but nothing noteworthy. Overall, a fun spot for a casual dinner, especially if you're in the mood for pizza. Just make a reservation and dress warmly if you expect to wait outside.

Unfortunately, I left feeling like the experience simply didn't justify the hype or the price. To start with the positives, the pecan brioche sticky bun was genuinely delicious. At $8 it was hard to justify the price for the size, but the flavor was excellent. The smash potatoes were also very well done, crispy, flavorful, and easily one of the better items we ordered, even if $10 felt steep for the portion. Everything else, however, left us scratching our heads. My in laws ordered the breakfast sandwich, which starts at $17 without the sausage. Adding the sausage brought it to an astonishing $23, and honestly, it was a pretty average breakfast sandwich. We all agreed we could have walked a block over to Devil's Teeth and gotten something larger, more satisfying, and nearly half the price. We also ordered the fried mortadella sandwich, which came in at $18. It tasted fine, but at the end of the day it felt like an expensive deli sandwich that didn't do enough to justify the cost. The biggest disappointment was the Dutch pancake. At $20, we expected something memorable. Instead, it arrived overcooked around the edges while the center was an absolute runny mess. It was easily the weakest dish of the meal. The dining experience itself also felt a bit strange. We were a party of five, and were asked if we'd be willing to share our table in case another group of three came in. I understand restaurants trying to maximize seating, but it made the meal feel less comfortable than we'd hoped. The saving grace of our visit was the staff. Everyone we interacted with was genuinely friendly, accommodating, and welcoming. They were the highlight of the experience and made us feel well taken care of despite our disappointment with the food. I can appreciate that Outerlands has built a loyal following over the years, but after this visit I just don't understand the hype. Between the inconsistent execution and the exceptionally high prices, it's difficult for me to justify coming back when there are so many other fantastic brunch spots in the Sunset offering better value.
