Have gone here a few times now, but this recent experience was a bit dull. The atmosphere is amazing and the service is good. On my first few times eating here I would've gave this place 4.5 stars, the food was amazing and such a unique take on typical burgers, but this most recent time was a bit disappointing. It could've been a different chef or something, but I remember the patties being juicy, the fries flavorful and sauce an amazing touch, but this most recent trip the burger patty was dry and the bun wasn't toasted. The fries were meh this time, and sauce was lacking a tiny bit. Overall it was just a typical mid burger experience, does get you very full though. The thing that did annoy me a bit was their pricing and how they have seemed to increase them a bit, and for the most recent time I dined, the price was not worth it. Again this could've been a coincidence and a one time thing, but i'm not too upset. I still recommend this place if you're looking for a burger but with a twist, and a meal that is definitely getting you full. Personally I recommend the Italian Stallion and the Cowboy burger. Although this recent experience was a bit unpleasant, i'm giving them the benefit of the doubt and saying they are still definitely a solid burger spot. I give the worker props cuz he is managing all lot! The dude kindly took my orders at the front. Cooked the food, answered phone calls and more! This dude deserves to get a pay raise and more! Besides that, this was my first time here after so many years of friends boasting about how great this spot was. It exceeded my expectations as I saw this hard working dude fill so many roles all by himself. Also I saw a good amount of folx stop by and order food and online orders too picking up. There are table outside no restrooms. I was relaxed after coming from an event and enjoyed the vibe waiting outside with my friend. Uncle boy's has been one of my favorite burger spots in the Inner Richmond. You must order online and can order through their website or their other online ordering platforms, I typically use doordash and order for pick-up. Sometimes they have deals as well! I usually get an OG burger and their onion rings. I also saw they have a new ube milkshake! I haven't tried it yet, but glad they started adding milkshakes on the menu. I literally said to myself how fire a ube milkshake would be! Service is always nice and they're always so friendly! Food is made super fast too. BF and I have been on a bit of a "try all the hamburgers in the City!" kick, and Uncle Boys is a solid 4/5 for me. UB's hits the spot way more than any fast food, multinational conglomerate ever will, and was speedy service with a smile. There were a few people waiting for their burgers when we walked in, and I would say we didn't wait for more than 15 min. We took food to go and ate in front of a movie on the couch. Burgers were as ordered, large, and filling. I had to wash my hands after eating thanks to the juiciness/sauciness. My one complaint was the bun was a tad dry, but we were there on a Sunday and that's a little to be expected (gma always warned about eating out on Sunday/Monday ;p) There's a small counter inside with 4ish chairs, and seating outside, as well. I can imagine this is a great spot for an after work meal on a warm night when you don't wanna cook, but also don't want to break the bank. I had this place on my bookmark list for so long that when it was my turn to choose a restaurant for lunch catering at work, I chose Uncle Boy's. I see them all over social media and yelp and wanted to support. I loved the names and the ingredients for the burgers, was really excited to try the El Jefe, ground wagyu burger with lettuce, tomato, bacon, and pepper jack cheese topped with SpicyUB sauce. My burger was cold and messy, uneven. I don't mind about it being cold, we placed a big order and got it delivered cross town. The onion rings were not worth mentioning or trying. I liked the reviews I found via Yelp and sought this place out on a night when Karl was smothering the city and the wind was licking you like a mangy mutt with halitosis. Went late after Deftones concert. Maybe around 12:30am as it was one of the only spots open around that would be relatively fast. Parking was somewhat of a struggle being in the busy Inner Richmond neighborhood. Had to walk about 2 min. Simply walked up and ordered the OG Burger with added Jalapeños and an order of fries. They offer a solid range of dipping sauces which I do not recall being at cost. Burger was overall filling, tasty, and fresh. The meat was a tad dry. Definitely would try the fancier burgers as the toppings were lacking luster on the OG. I did order the burger without cheese and I would imagine having cheese would make the burger a little more moist. Fries were definitely the worst part. Came out on the colder and mushy side. Exactly opposite of what I look for in fries. The sauce I chose was great and I dumped that on both the burger and fries to help with the dryness. A great no-frills burger spot in the Richmond! We were in the mood for burgers for lunch, but didn't feel like a full sit-down meal so were happy to find this great spot that was exactly what we were looking for. There is only a small counter for 2 to sit inside and a parklet with some outdoor seating so I would say this is more of a take-out place. While it may be a pretty small menu, they make everything pretty tasty! The fries had a really good house seasoning that had a great flavor and would definitely order those again or may try the onion rings instead. For burgers, I had the El Jefe and my wife had the O.G. Just like the restaurant itself, they weren't the fanciest, but they tasted great and were very filling! We might have to try the Chicken Sandwiches next time, but if we ever need a solid burger, this is a great option to come back to! read more

As a lover of all things burgers and fries, I had Uncle Boy's on the radar for a minute, and finally got to try it out this past weekend. Reading their business bio, they mention no frills, and that's exactly what I look for in a burger. Since it was my first time, I asked what they best thing on the menu. The answer I got was 'everything' which is my pet peeve of answers because let's be real, not everything on the menu can be A+. After a friendly back n forth, they recommended the 'El Jefe' because they liked spicy, which is exactly what I love as well. They use angus meat and the patties are pretty darn tasty. The bun could've used a little bit more toast, but the ingredients, sauces and overall flavor of the burger was pretty good. The size of the burger was good for a regular appetite, but for a big eater like me, I think I could go double patty if that's the option. Their fries I enjoyed as well. They were crispy and loaded with salt and pepper. I can see the amount of S&P being too much for some, but it was perfect for me. Better to have some seasoning than nothing at all. I asked for a side of ranch which comes in packet. I should've asked for the chipotle sauce because that's homemade and I kept hearing other ppl ask for it. Next time for sure. While I don't live in the neighborhood, this is one of those spots that if I did, I'd probably eat here once a week. No frills, good flavor, and good pricing. A big burger and fries was $14, which for San Francisco, I've paid a lot more and got a lot less. If you find yourself in the neighborhood, looking for a quick bite or needing to satisfy that burger craving, Uncle Boy's might be the best option for you. read more
