No... ‍ There were three of us, I was the only one who had a glass of wine, and we only ordered one dessert to share (13.99 for a piece of key lime pie). The total bill was almost 250 bucks... Never even got in the door. This is the third time I've made a reservation here. And this is the third time they've refused to honour that reservation. Made a reservation for a table for 3 at 6:45p. All three of us were there at 6:15p. The hostess told us our reservation didn't matter and we would be put on a waitlist for a table that would be at least an hour and a half. We cancelled our reservation to the hostess who confirmed this before we left, but when I got home, I found an email from OpenTable saying the restaurant had reported me to their service as a no show This is absolutely unforgivable. Went here tonight and was not impressed. The two people at the front gave conflicting information about being seated took me to a table while the other said I had to wait for my party to arrive to be seated. When it came to the drink server she was gone through the dinner. I ordered wine and it took forever and when she did bring it she made an excuse for the delay. When it came to getting the check two different servers were gong to get it for us and took a long time to come. As for the food majority of the meats were over salted to the point you can eat it. This included the filet minion while the chicken was very dry and the bacon that wrapped it was very over cooked. The food bar had a number of things that were out and it wasn't till our meal was over that they replenished items. Question is would I go back and the answer is probably not. read more

Another visit for an absolutely fantastic dining experience. Let's start with the parking - plenty of it and free. Next, as soon as you enter the building, the smells of cooked food and the sound of Brazilian music greet you. Along with a friendly lady who seats you in a pleasant dining room. The service is quick and efficient, and you control how fast you want to have your meat. As for the food, well, this is why we really come here (often). The buffet salad bar includes salmon and soups. We had a lobster and shrimp starter as a part of my birthday reward. As always, the meat choices are excellent and friendly servers will cut you as much as you want, or don't want. Bonus servings of simply delicious, mashed potatoes, fried banana, and to-die-for small cheesy muffins. Brazilian lemonade to top it all off. I had Mixed Feelings - Amazing Servers, Poor Management Judgment The servers at Fogo de Chão Albuquerque are absolutely top-notch. Shoutout to Youseff, Jillian, and Aden--you all made the evening feel warm, welcoming, and fun. There are honestly several great team members here who work hard to provide an excellent dining experience, and it shows. Unfortunately, the reason I'm leaving a low rating is due to a disappointing interaction with the restaurant manager, Jared Snyder. I came in to relax and enjoy the night with friends. While I do have a very high tolerance for alcohol (I can easily handle 15+ drinks), I had only 4 drinks and was nowhere near intoxicated. Yet Jared took the word of a 19-year-old server, who--while undoubtedly well-meaning--is not even of legal drinking age and shouldn't be in a position to judge someone's sobriety. To make matters worse, Jared admitted we appeared completely sober, but still refused to allow us to order another drink, simply saying he couldn't overturn the decision of the underage server. There was no apology, no effort to resolve the situation with professionalism or courtesy--it felt dismissive and tone-deaf. On the other hand, Youseff, again proving his leadership qualities, came over, apologized sincerely, and took the time to speak with us like adults. He quickly recognized that we were coherent, respectful, and simply trying to have a good night out. He went above and beyond to salvage the experience, and honestly, he should be the one managing the place. Fogo has great food, excellent service staff, and a fun atmosphere--but management should seriously reconsider who's empowered to make key judgment calls on guests. A lack of common sense and empathy from leadership can quickly ruin what would've been a fantastic evening. Even corporate was very bland and dry about how they handled it. read more

We went there about 2:30 PM and there were not very many people there. I made a reservation, but stood there at the desk for about 15 minutes until I finally flagged someone down to try to get seated. After we got seated the waiter took our order and left. We sat there for another 20 minutes for somebody, anybody to start serving us food. Our waiter was too busy talking to someone and the servers just didn't come out and serve us any food. Glad we tried this restaurant! It is pricey, likely will only return for special occasions definitely not a casual dining experience. The wait staff was super friendly and checked I on us often. Always made sure we had what we needed, filled our water, and cleared our plates. This was our first time and they explained the food bar and card system. The meat was well cooked and seasoned. After having only one Brazilian steakhouse in Albuquerque for many years, it was exciting to finally have another option. Unfortunately, from its opening to now, I've felt that the overall quality has steadily declined. One of the biggest changes has been the salad bar. It used to offer an impressive variety and was always well stocked. Previously, there were fruits like dragonfruit, starfruit, papaya, and pineapple. Now, the selection is much more limited--primarily just pineapple and papaya--and empty items often aren't restocked in a timely manner. This can really be seen during brunch on a weekend. They make these little smoothies/juices in shot glasses, and it seems as though when they run out of them, they are out and will likely not be replacing them. We once made the mistake of dining during the transition between the end of lunch and the start of dinner, and the experience was very disappointing. Although we were charged dinner prices, we were only offered a small selection of meat cuts. Service was extremely slow, and the few meats that were served came out very rare. When the lunch staff left, it was clear the dinner staff was struggling to catch up. I genuinely felt for them, as they were left trying to prepare meats and recover from the limited service we had received for most of our meal. This restaurant used to be a great, but when you're paying close to $70 per person, the quality and consistency should be outstanding. I truly wish the restaurant would return to its earlier standards, though at this point I'm a bit doubtful. On a lighter note, one standout item is the grilled cheese topped with honey an item offered with the meat service--it's fantastic. After the fiasco in Rocklin, I told my husband we were NEVER going back to a Fogo ever again, but he REALLY wanted to go celebrate his retirement with Brazilian meats, so I capitulated. I am SO GLAD I DID! The entire staff were absolutely amazing, but none more than JT. A manager with a water pitcher, not too proud to fill guests' glasses?! That's the sign of an excellent restaurant TEAM. The food was to die for (but we never did see any grilled cheese come around, which was a slight disappointment), we had our own table (no shared benches with people hitting me with their coats), and they made sure my husband felt special for his celebration. Glad We Tried It--But Likely a One-Time Experience I had heard quite a bit of hype about Fogo de Chão--friends raving about the endless variety of meats and the overall Brazilian steakhouse experience. So my expectations were high going in. To be fair, our experience wasn't bad. We sampled about 6 to 8 different cuts. Some were truly delicious, but others were noticeably dry--drier than I would expect from a restaurant of this caliber, and certainly not something I would serve at home. The restaurant was fairly busy, and at times we had long waits between the meats we were hoping to try. My wife and I both agree: we're glad we finally gave it a try. We don't regret the experience. But given the cost ($62 for unlimited meats and market table) and the inconsistent quality, it's not something we're likely to repeat. If you've never been, it's worth experiencing once. Just manage your expectations--it may not live up to all the hype. read more

We decided for some Churrasco on a Friday night because we were in the area. We had a good time, we didn't take any pictures of the meat after hitting the salad bar because we were hungry. Service was good, there always around seeing if you need anything or if there is a particular piece of meat you're waiting for. I will say they'll still come to the table with meats even if your card is red. Sometimes they skip your table as there was a couple close by to us who wanted some sausage that we passed on, but the server over looked them. It wasn't intentional, but it can suck if you're waiting on something you want. There was a Picanha that was really good, I ended my meal waiting for it to come back. It was too salty on the 2nd round I had, but it was the best protein I had all night besides the little lamb chops that were cook perfect and so tender eating it like a lollipop. Ordered delivery caprese salad. It was packaged horribly in a too small plastic container. The tomatoes were underripe, cut too thick. The mozzarella was typically bland, and some of the basil was shiso/perilla leaves. Totally different flavor. I called the restaurant and the manager did not deny it. All she could offer was I come by the restaurant and pick up some basil. I didnt want to go anywhere. That's why I ordered delivery. Misrepresentation of a menu item. I like shiso. I love a good steak, but one of my favorite parts of Fogo is their bar menu. please know that you have to go sit at the bar to access this menu but it's much more affordable than going for the full get up. The menu features everything from nine dollar burgers to shareable plates, including wings, and empanadas, which are really good. I also absolutely love getting the honey cheese that I can't remember the name of. They have some good cocktails, but this time I tried one of the nonalcoholic cocktails. This time I tried the Cleanr Sour which is a low proof cocktail centering passionfruit and pineapple. I really enjoyed the drink and didn't have any buzz from it. Do not trust their reservation system! After making reservations 6 weeks in advance for Valentine's Day they tell us they are running behind and we can expect to wait 1.5 to 2 hours. We've been to Fogo in Vegas and California and now this one in Albuquerque. This located was our least favorite. Once seated at our table the waitress came by to take our drink order, about ten minutes passed and still no drinks. The waitress who sat us barely checked on us the whole dinner service. Another waiter came by and was so much better at checking on us. He was on top of drinks and cleaning up the table and just checking in To see if we needed anything. The salad bar was okay.. and for the meat that came by there was barely any selection to choose from. They brought the same meat by probably 20 times the whole night...lamb maybe twice towards the end of our meal...and that's about it. During dessert they brought sausage out and that's was the only time they brought that by.. not sure if we will ever be back to this location. Definitely felt like we could've gone somewhere else and enjoyed it more..especially since we were celebrating a birthday. read more

I would like to start this review by saying the sole reason why I rated the service 5 stars was because of Manny! We had awful experience with Tommy he was rude and after our first interaction with him he never even came back to our table. Manny however was incredibly polite, kind and attentive. He made us smile from ear to ear! Whatever we asked for he made it happen and even went above and beyond when my wife asked for steak sauce he appeared less than 5 minutes with it in hand. Manny overall made the experience so memorable. I don't take to kindly to people mistreating my wife like Tommy did so when Manny stepped in he stepped up. Disappointed and Won't Be Back I really wanted to love this place -- especially since my wife and I went for dinner with a gift card. The interior is beautiful, and the customer service was okay, but unfortunately, the experience went downhill from there. We ordered a seafood platter, but it was spoiled. The shrimp had a strong odor, and the crab and lobster tasted off. When we mentioned it to the waiter, they admitted that about 10% of their seafood deliveries come in bad -- which was honestly shocking to hear. They did bring out a fresh platter, and we tried a little, but by that point, our trust was gone. We also visited the salad bar, but it felt neglected and unorganized -- surprising since the restaurant wasn't even busy. If it's open to all guests, it should be maintained more frequently. We've visited Fogo before for Thanksgiving and have never had any issues. This time we made a reservation and still waited for an hour outside in the cold. We were scolded by a hostess for hesitating for a literal minute on our way outside and were told "you can't wait inside!". Not a great way to set the tone for the evening. Once we were seated, our server didn't offer us anything to drink and it took another server to realize that we didn't even have water. Our server didn't return once during our visit. Once I sat I had to wait for 15 minutes to get a server then over 30 minutes to get my mashed potato's Bill came with erroneous charges and took more time and 3 different servers to get it wrote almost a week later still waiting for the refund The food was good especially the turkey UPDATE I went back and they knocked it out of the park Service was great and food as always was perfection. I made luncheon reservations for my husband and myself on a Thursday. Having been to Fogo de Chao before, we knew what to expect, the 'red card-green card' method. However, our server took our drink orders, and kindly explained everything. The salad/ food bar was beautifully appointed. Everything we chose was fresh and tasty. The meats were good, not great. Plentiful as it was, the meat was just ok, not super tender or delicious.... Something ?seasoning? Was missing. Speaking of missing, our server started off great. BUT...After about 20 minutes our drinks sat empty, and we were pretty much neglected. We did see her across the room serving other tables, so I'm not sure what happened.
