The service was good but the food lacked flavor. We ordered a $130 dollar steak that tasted worst than longhorn. For the price I would have thought it would be a better cut, more seasoning and not so much fat. The decor was mall restaurant, nothing really too extravagant. Glad I tried this place but probably will never go back.

Wagyu Ancho Ribeye 24oz

2.75 stars. It was slightly below average especially given its reputation. Service was disjointed as servers switched mid dinner. They were friendly though but sometimes hard to flag down. Menu options were average. 1. Sea bass - Good sized portion. A bit overcooked but it was still flavorful given the fish. 2. Wagyu Ribeye (Ancho) - Split between three people. Good portion size. Comes on a salt block to keep cooking. Some pieces were medium well and some were the medium as ordered. 3. Creme Brulee Cheesecake - 10/10 here. I would come back only for this cheesecake. They did a great job being creative and loading it with flavor and good cheesecake texture. 4. Lava cake - Ice cream melted way too fast. Cake was soggy. "Lava" was too thick. Had way better versions elsewhere. 5. Creme brulee - Terrible. Probably one of the worst ones I've had. The shell was too thick. Didn't crack when you hit the spoon on top. The cream was too thick and tasted like egg yolk. Definitely skip this one. Overall, not a great first impression besides the Creme Brulee Cheesecake. I'd come back just for that but never coming back on my own for the rest.

I love me a good rodizio. I mean LOVE. Fogo de Chao opened near me and had been wanting to go. My wife is awesome and took me for my birthday recently. We were promptly seated and the waitress was great about explaining how things worked in terms of their menu. Always appreciate this since rodizio places have their nuance with what is or isn't included, etc. They have two rodizio experiences. Biggest differences are that the less expensive version does not include a starter/appetizer or dessert. Otherwise, both include the salad bar which has hot and cold offerings like rice, beans, salad, cheese, etc. PLUS yuca, fried bananas, and mashed potatoes served to your table with your meal. The cuts of meat served were delicious. Bacon wrapped sirolin, filet, chicken thigh, sausage, among others. What was hard to decipher sometimes was if they had other cuts of meat to offer and we didn't know about them? Would be nice to know exactly what we should expect to see/get so that we can plan accordingly if you will. Needless to say, my wife and I were in a food coma when we were done. Everything was so delicious. We ordered crab cake as our starter and it was really good. The mayo it was served with was particularly good. My 4-star review is honestly nitpicking at the knowledge of the meat selection, nothing more. The service was great. Staff were all super friendly and paid attention to everyone (it was definitely a busy evening when we went).

Service was not good. The waiter forgot about the second drink that was ordered. The food is just ok. We got the wagyu ribeye and the Chilean sea bass. The ribeye was yummy but the Chilean sea bass was mediocre. The cheesecake brulee was amazing because of the crunchy coating. . Molten chocolate cake was just ok and the creme brulee tasted weird,we didn't even eat it Bec it tasted like scrambled egg.

I had a slightly different experience at this Fogo de Chao branch, compared to the one in DC. I would say the occupancy matters A LOT when it comes down to service. We came on a Saturday evening and it was PACKED. We even put our reservation down on OpenTable for 7, and eventually got seated by 8:10p even though they confirmed the times with us over the phone :( Once we were seated at a makeshift table, the meat service was even slower. Our cards were flipped green but we were consistently overlooked by the perimeter tables, and at some point had to flag down a waiter to get any meat. I would rate the food fantastically. The self serve bar is complete, and pairs well with all the menu items. Even when we were able to get some meat, it was cooked well. I do understand that a busy dinner time can impact service, but it definitely didn't leave a good impression, especially when we reserved weeks in advance for a birthday. I would recommend coming here, but on a less crowded day if you're able.

Another amazing event with Nirala and Bruno. Sameh was attentive and helpful. Enjoyed the new champagne that they're offering and as always, the food was delicious.

Beautiful restaurant, attentive service, and delicious food with generous servings. I was invited by a friend who has dined at this location many times. She knew exactly what would make my first experience memorable which involved ordering the full churrasco. All types and cuts of meat continued to be freshly carved at our table as long as we had room in our stomach to fit it in. The meat just kept coming, and I'm talking ribeye, roasted chicken, lamb chops, sirloin, etc. I was told to bring my appetite, yet I remained unprepared for what was to come and also what kept coming. Prior to the churrasco, we enjoyed the market table which was like a mini market of fruits, veggies, salads and a variety of fixings. One could fill up just on that alone, but then you would miss out on the best part. And for dessert, I ordered their crème brulee. Everything was very good; some of the meats I enjoyed more than others, but how great it was to be offered so many options. I look forward to returning and doing it all over again.

We made reservations for our party of 6 for a birthday celebration. The vibes were cozy in the space we were seated. We opted for the full churrasco experience for each of us. Our server was very attentive and friendly. Unfortunately the drink service took a lengthy amount of time and we had to ask for updates on our drinks a few times. The salad bar offered a wide variety of items, but it's a little chaotic with the amount of people. The included sides were a nice touch. The churrasco experience was enjoyable overall, but the downside was the repetitive selections. If you prefer your steak cooked to a specific temperature, you might just have to accept whatever they serve. I will also note desserts were delicious.

Another great experience in the same week! This time, came for a brunch on Saturday and had a great time! Samuel was absolutely awesome and so attentive. Management is also very people friendly and accessible for a restaurant. Stephen (not sure on the spelling) spends time walking to every table, speaking to everyone. I enjoy the service from everyone and I will continue to come back. Bruno is awesome as well!

This was my first visit to Fogo de Chão so I can't compare to other locations but I have been to other Rodizio restaurants in the past. I would say that for someone that isn't a huge meat eater, the options here were more than sufficient. I booked a reservation when they had the option for a discounted menu, "Best of Brazil," in which you don't get all of the premium cuts but honestly it was more than enough for my group and me. We got to try lots of different meats and I felt it was good quality and worth it for the price. However, looking at the full price cost, I am not sure that I would come back because it doesn't seem that it is worth it. The salad bar/"Market Table" is smaller than other places I have been to, but again, I think there were still more options than most people would know what to do with. I like the vibe here and all of the staff was super nice!

Far better places to waste your money. I got sick and mainly ate from the salad bar. Waiters kept bringing well done chunks of tough meat.

Wolfgang's Steakhouse in Somerville delivered a classic steakhouse experience with excellent food,…read morea warm atmosphere, and a few service hiccups along the way. The ambiance was exactly what you'd hope for from a traditional steakhouse: dark wood, comfortable seating, an impressive wine display, and a lively yet refined dining room. It felt special without being overly formal. We started with fresh oysters, which were cold, clean, and incredibly fresh. The bread basket was also a pleasant surprise and a great way to begin the meal. For the main course, the ribeye and filet mignon were cooked perfectly, with a beautiful crust and rich flavor that showcased why Wolfgang's has such a strong reputation. The fries and Brussels sprouts complemented everything nicely. Service started off strong, but once the entrées arrived, it felt like the table was forgotten. I had planned on enjoying a glass of wine with my steak, but despite placing my empty cocktail glass prominently at the edge of the table, no one stopped by to check on us or offer another beverage. By the time I was finally able to get our server's attention and order a glass of wine, I had already finished most of my steak. For a restaurant operating at this level, I'd expect more attentive service throughout the meal. That said, the quality of the food helped make up for the inconvenience. We finished with the molten lava cake, which was the perfect ending to a fantastic dinner. Overall, Wolfgang's delivers where it matters most: outstanding steaks, quality ingredients, and a classic steakhouse atmosphere. With a little more attention to service during the meal, this would easily be a five-star experience.

Got here around 2pm to an empty restaurant so it was nice for my overtired but refuse to nap toddler and my 9 month old daughter who refuses to sit still. Restaurant was very simple with tables along the left side and restrooms on the right. I wouldn't say it's a big place but it's a decent size. Since it was just us, we ordered right away. I got the birria tacos and my husband got the steak enchiladas. Holy birria those tacos were fantastic. The taco shells had just the right amount of crispy softness where it wasn't overly cooked to make it a hard shell. When you bit into it, the juices came out from the other side of my taco and the meted cheese was nice and stringy- if you know what I mean. The meat was cooked perfectly where it wasn't too dry and chewy. I drowned my tacos in the sauce they give you and housed my 3 tacos. It was the perfect amount where I was full after eating but not overly stuffed. My husband loved his steak enchilada. I tried a few bites and I loved the spicy kick to it...so if you're not a spicy eater, I'd skip out on this. It was the type of spice here you know the dish is spicy but it's not overpowering where I feel like my tongue and esophagus is on fire. My husband loved the little kick but was still able to enjoy the meal without wanted to eat a tub of ice cream. He also ordered the mango shake which was absolutely delicious. Super creamy and that mango sweetness was perfect. Our hostess was great- she talked of my daughter and made sure we were ok even though we were the only ones there! I definitely recommend if you're in the area!

Service is where it gets questionable. We did BYOB, and they handed US pint glasses for wine. We saw the next table, who came in after us, get served wine glasses without being asked. Further, our order got mixed up, and we didn't get what we ordered. Overall, I wouldn't say it is bad, but extremely awkward. The ambiance was small with plenty of seating. For a Sunday, it felt empty.

My wife and I stopped in after meeting my Corvette club for the weekly cruise night in Somerville -- it was the perfect way to cap the evening. We started with the grilled octopus and the crispy calamari. Both were excellent. The calamari is very light. When I used to frequent the lounge on Fridays and Saturdays, if I hadn't had dinner, the calamari hit the spot. The octopus had a good char on it and was tender throughout. For entrees, my wife had the seared ahi tuna special and I went with the pan seared duck breast. Her tuna was cooked perfectly - rare. The duck was well seared on the outside with just the right amount of pink inside. Portions were the right size -- filling without being excessive, which left just enough room to share the chocolate ganache dessert. We finished with a cappuccino for my wife and a double espresso for me. Verve is a French bistro on East Main Street with a serious cocktail and wine program. The atmosphere is upscale but relaxed.
