I don't know it it's location or the fact that they have expanded, but I've visited the Wayne and bridgewater locations and it felt like an all you can eat buffet, the ambiance leaves a lot to be desired. Extremely over priced for the service or food quality. After an almost $500 tab for 4 people, the feeling should not be one of dissatisfaction. Been there, done that and can assure you, will not be doing this again. Toca Vez in Basking Ridge, Roots in Morristown or Witherspoon in Princeton are way better choices for steakhouses that will leave you wanting to go back. read more

Terrible service! May be because the waitress was a newbie, but they kept us eating the Rodizio without ANY water or drinks! We were half way through the birthday dinner and we still never got not even a water! Then they had supposedly upgraded our package to include filet mignon and better cuts of meat, and it would include a dessert on the house for everyone, however the entire table said they never received any of these premium cuts they had offered and on top of that when we asked about the complimentary dessert the server said it's an extra charge?! So basically they scammed us to charge us for a more expensive package with no drinks until we were basically done with our food and guess what?! The ambiance of this location ( for being in a mall ) is quite nice. The dining room tables and chairs are also very nice as well. There's a bar seating area right in the front and various tables at which to seat at. The service I want to breakdown into two parts . You have your main server who brings your drinks etcc and you have the rodizio servers who come around and give you various cuts of meat. Our main server I think his name was Shawn?sean? Was absolutely amazing! He checked in with us accordingly and was just overall very personable. He is the main reason why I gave a 5 star review. The Rodizio service though,kind of falls off; We did the dinner which is $71.00 per person and there are per the menu 16 different offerings. We saw only like 7 outta the 16. The Rodizio servers took quite a while before even coming to our area and when they did there was a considerable wait time in between. I should've been able to see or get offered all 16 different meats . I think they should have more Rodizio servers coming around more often. That way you're waiting so long in between meat offerings. The food itself was ok. Some meats more salted than others and some being under seasoned but not to the point of being inedible . My favorite cuts were the pork belly , lamb chops , bone -in ribeye and bottom sirloin. Overall, it just goes to show, if you have an amazing server your experience gets elevated. Visited recently for a friends birthday and we didn't have a good experience. We joked all night that we were seated at the neglect table. To start, the menu is very limited, specific to meat and lobster dishes. If you're not looking to do the unlimited meat option, it's hard to find another meal. When we sat down, 2 bottles of Saratoga water had been placed on the table in advance so we drank it, only to find out it was $8 a bottle when the check came around. This should be mentioned upfront from the start. The service was terrible. The waiter came around once, my meal never came out so I had to flag someone down to ask about it and then it was rushed to me. Everyones meal came out at different times and the sides came out pretty much at the end of dinner so were ultimately untouched. The steak coming around had no variety, our table kept getting bacon wrapped chicken and picanha all night when there's supposed to be a ton of other different meats. We always got the end of the cuts so there was never enough or our table was skipped over completely. Salty steak but no water refill because again the service was nonexistent. The food was okay, nothing to write home about. The steaks at Longhorn are much better and we don't have to wait 3 hours to get them. Unfortunately, our group won't be back as this experience is not worth the expense and time. Fogo de Chao needs some major improvements. read more

Came to try their very affordable weekday $18 Gaocho lunch and loved it! Ever heard of "girl dinner"? Well this is girl LUNCH on steroids!! Fogo's salad bar is truly unmatched. It's stocked with grilled veggies and salads galore! And if you want some of the classic meats on a skewer, you can add those on for $10-$15 each, depending on the cut. Of course, I can't forget about the delicious complimentary sides. The Brazilian cheesy bread stays on top! It's so chewy and salty and addicting. I would suggest trying another location than this one. We arrived at 6pm for our month-in advanced reservation. We gave our names, but we didn't get seated until 6:43pm. About 6 workers came up but never got seated and didn't offer to sit anywhere while we waited. Manager came, said 5 minutes and then it turned into 20. The steak cuts and meats were great. Market place buffet was tasty as well, just really bad management. Our waitress was very friendly and made up for the evening. We were celebrating a birthday but it was a regret afterwards. I've been to the Manhattan Fogo de Chão, which is far superior. The Bridgewater location tries to present itself as upscale, but the experience falls flat. If you're coming for the rodizio, prepare to repeatedly ask--and wait--for the better cuts like ribeye or filet, which barely make an appearance. Instead, they circulate the cheaper meats (chicken, pork, basic sirloin) hoping you'll fill up on those. The included salad bar is underwhelming, both in quality and variety. And when the meat does come around, unless you specifically request medium-rare or rare, expect they try to give you the overcooked, dry part by default. For the price, you're better off heading to Newark or a quality steakhouse that actually delivers on value and experience. This felt more like a corporate chain cutting corners than a true Brazilian steakhouse. read more

We're big fans of Fogo de Chão, and whenever there's a location near us--whether at home or while traveling--we make it a point to stop by for our Brazilian steak fix. This was our first time visiting the Bridgewater location since it opened last May. Our expectations were high, as we've had consistently great experiences at other locations. We went for Sunday lunch. The space is a bit smaller than the other branches we've been to, but the ambiance was nice and the Market Table looked fresh. While there weren't as many options at the Market Table, that was fine since we came primarily for the meats. Service was good overall. We had a main server and a few other staff members who checked in on us regularly. However, the quality of the meats was disappointing. Many cuts were overcooked--some were too salty, while others lacked flavor altogether. I didn't check the reviews beforehand because we've always had great experiences at Fogo, but unfortunately, this visit didn't live up to our expectations. We didn't enjoy this location and will probably stick to the King of Prussia branch moving forward. Hopefully, the Bridgewater team can work out the kinks. If reviews improve down the line, we'd be open to giving it another shot. read more

We were so excited to have a Fogo de Chao restaurant near us. Reservations were made to take our son in law for his birthday. I reviewed so many YouTube videos to see what to expect. The restaurant is located in the Bridgewater Commons mall. The ambience was excellent for a mall restaurant, We decided to order the full experience. On YouTube the reviews were don't go crazy eating from the bar as it has everything including meats. I ordered just the salad bar as I know I wouldn't be eating so much meat. I was so disappointed with the salad bar. I was so looking forward to their black bean stew. It was not at all like the pictures I saw of black bean and meats, this was all black beans. Very disappointed. If you're visiting the restaurant in Bridgewater, skip the salad bar. Ruby Tuesday in Somerset has a really good salad bar. The meats were mainly the same cuts. Our table did not get ribs and we had to ask for the prime rib. We ordered Tres leches to celebrate the birthday boy. I can easily give the dessert 10 stars. Delicious!! The servers were fantastic! Once and done. No need to return. We're sticking with our steak places. read more

This was probably one of the worst dining experience I have ever had in my life. I had visited fogo de chao in chicago and it was an amazing experience and looked forward to going to this new location for my cousin's birthday but it was beyond disappointing. We had a reservation for 8:30 and got there around 8 and thankfully were seated promptly however after that it all went downhill. We placed our drink orders in around 8:15 and did not get them until 30-40 minutes later. We had to flag a server down to even put in an order because despite there being over 10-15 waiters around, once you're seated no one pays attention to you. My entire table did the churrasco experience where the meats are served rodizio style but the wait in between meats was about 15 minutes each which does not make for a pleasant experience. The silverware and glasses were dirty and when asked for new ones (3x) they kept bringing more dirty ones. We requested the lamb since it was a part of the meal, we ordered it 5 times and did not get it until maybe 30 minutes later after 10pm. This is after being seated since 8. When we finally get it, it's charred to the bone and inedible. The worst part about the whole evening was that there was a very large party seated center of the dining room that everyone was attending to and we found out that the people seated were STAFF! It was the staff that trained the folks that were working that night. I don't understand why they ignored the paying customers to give staff receiving complimentary food and drinks better service. That should have been an event done in the off hours. NOT during PRIME dinner hours on a saturday evening. The table was also extremely loud and noisy. I don't even remember exactly how long the wait was for me to get another glass of wine. Finally we requested the bill and funnily enough it came at the speed of light. They deserved no tip but we were kind to give them 18%. Next thing we know they LOSE our signed copy and asked who took it! Unbelievable. At this point I asked the server if they thought this was acceptable service and he then started to complain about the management and how him and the other servers don't care about the job because they're all college students so they tend to ignore their boss tells them to clean up or be more attentive because they "don't get paid enough" I was beyond shocked at what I was hearing. I do NOT recommend this location. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE. The Bridgewater location we've visited 4 times from busy Saturday nights to slower midweek evenings. The consistent issue with this location is the rotation of the better meats are not well offered, either limited or simply not offered unless requested - filet mignon, lamb chops, etc. This is the full price churassco not the lower cost Best of Brazil promo. At full price I expect the standards to resemble the other franchise locations. Management should improve this detail as people notice the cheaper rotation. What an EXCELLENT EXPERIENCE!!! Service was unmatched. Some of the best service we have ever received. From the moment we walked in this the moment we left we were well taken care of. Even with how many customers were there we felt as if we were the only ones there because that's how much attention we received. Food was outstanding! My husband and I both got the Rodizio experience and it was outstanding. We were asked how we liked our meat cooked and everything was cooked according to how we asked. Meat quality was great and flavor was awesome! Some similar places are over salted and lack quality but this place was AMAZING! They also offer a wide variety of meats which is nice to try new things. Also sides were AMAZING! They give you these beautiful potatoes, polenta and bananas! Do not skip out on the fresh hot cheese with HONEY DRIZZLE!!! To die for!!! Ambiance was 10 out of 10. Such nice decor and everything is well maintained and clean! Been here a few times already. The food is always good. Yes, the place is expensive, but the meats are of very high quality. The service in my last visit was not good. They start off good, but as time went on, the service was moving downhill. The gaps between serving the meats were becoming far in between. We paid for the higher tier so we could get the ribeye and better cuts of meat. The ribeye only passed by once, and that was after multiple requests. What's more annoying was that the servers would go to the side where their kids were and asked them if they wanted any more food. When the kids said no, the staff wouldn't even bother to come to the adult side of the table and walked away. Even flagging and calling the staff barely worked. This happened several times. If we didn't complain to the manager, we wouldn't get the food flowing back to us. What should have been a pleasant and fun feast turned into lots of frustration. If it weren't for the actual food, this place would've gotten a one star. So, if you do come by, be very alert on how often the food comes your way. Otherwise, would be missing out a lot. read more

When they did stop by, they had so little left that only a few people in our party were served, others had to wait an unreasonably long time before getting anything at all. We paid $52 each for the "Full Churrasco" experience but it was absolutely not worth it. We left feeling unsatisfied, and some members of our group were still hungry. If you're celebrating a special occasion or want to enjoy a good meal, go somewhere else, someplace that actually cares about their guests. For context, this was my second time dining at Fogo de Chão. My first experience, at the Las Vegas location, was incredible: great food, attentive servers, and outstanding service. I hate that I have to have to leave this review. I like to think that I'm a very generous reviewer and always try to focus primarily on the positives and the overall experience. As I thought about my experience here, which was in between Christmas & New Years, I tried to think of what was positive about it. All I came up with was that the vibe/decor was dark and moody (which is cool) and that the Brazilian lemonade was amazing. That's it. Everything else was very sub-par. What really set me over the edge though, was ultimately the bill we paid for such a low-level experience. I'm still shook by it . . . . In my reservation, that I made on line well in advance, I requested the nicest seating location possible as it was for my daughter's birthday celebration. We were seated in a small, slightly separated area where they cram all of the larger parties together. We were only a party of 6. We were on the edge of that room, almost partially in a walkway. It was the least ideal seating location. The service was non-existent. There were two waiters helping us but our head waiter was MIA the majority of the time and they both neglected to follow through on our basic requests for drinks, salt, a new fork, etc. After too much time had passed, we had to follow up on our requests. We all got the full churrasco experience, where you get unlimited carved meat, sides and the "Market table". The market table is essentially a glorified salad bar. They brought us a small amount of very unappetizing looking sides on tiny plates to accompany our meat and then the meat servers started to come around. Many of the individuals who were carving/serving the meat do not speak English or they speak very little English. We had a couple of very awkward encounters with them where they didn't understand if we wanted a cut of meat or not. They were not paying attention to the discs they give you (which indicates whether or not you want to be served) and one really awkward time they proceeded to continue putting meat on one of our plates, while we're looking directly at them saying and gesturing "no". I felt like I was in the twilight zone. That whole process/experience felt so chaotic and unenjoyable. The cuts of meat were just ok. Nothing spectacular. Definitely not prime. Definitely tasted like the cheaper imported Australian beef. Some cuts of meat came around repeatedly and others you had to ask and wait for repeatedly. I'm not even sure if we were able to try all of the items listed on the menu. And then, the bill. It was almost $600 with 3 or 4 alcoholic drinks, tax & tip. The quality of the meats, the salad bar, the sides and the service does not warrant the cost. Save yourself the money and the agita and for less money (or even the same or more money, for that matter) just have a better overall experience somewhere else. read more

Didn't have a bad time aside from this one interaction (however after reading some of these reviews I agree the service is quite slow from the table waiters) I am German, and my finance is Colombian. It is very visually evident. About 30 minutes into our visit, one of the meat servers approaches our table. All 3 or us converse in English, he turns his back to me and looks at my fiancé and speaks to her in Spanish. Now, I speak fluent Spanish though I don't look like I do. He didn't say much, but he returned about 5 minutes later. He speaks in an English interaction to me, and speaks to my fiance again in Spanish, but this time with a very flirtatious undertone (as if I didn't know what he was saying/how he was saying it). Look, this is not the first time this has happened while being out with my finance where languages were flipped. This whole exchange was odd, leaving my finance and I uncomfortable knowing what had just happened. Kinda ruined the ambiance of a great night we were having. Disappointed by the service, absolutely not acceptable. Food and ambiance 9/10 We had a reservation for 815. We walked in at 8 PM. We were seated around 945. While waiting, we try to get a drink at the bar. The bar staff completely dismissed us, I do agree they were really busy, but that doesn't make it acceptable to completely dismiss someone at the bar with a chair. They served us a couple of samples while we waited, which is nice but the entryway was so packed with so many people confused and angry about the long wait. They were not allowing walk-ins but the amount of people that had reservations and were waiting for over an hour was ridiculous. We finally sat down, and the food was good, but our drinks got there an hour after we ate our food almost, not acceptable. Towards the end of our dinner, we completely stopped getting new meats and we never got to try all of them because they were never all brought to our table. We got our sides after we ate our dinner at the end and our bill was incorrect we had to ask and get it all corrected and get all of the stuff that happened. We got no compensation no apologies nothing Great place just do not come on the weekend or even Friday evening. It's not worth your time being wasted. I have been going to Foco Fe Chao at various locations since 2007 in Philadelphia. The one in Bridgewater is not bad but terrible. The "Garden Table" had only crumbs of the Parmesan and a bone with no meat on Prosciutto De Parma. I asked numerous times for it and was ignored. The three women that were with me all had said that something was wrong with the fish. Okay why did they buy fish at a steakhouse let's not go there. Anyway I spoked to management about my experience at Garden Table and the told him that all three women said that the fish tasted funny. He dismissed my statement about Garden Table and had the nerve to say "No one else had problem with the fish" thus intimated that the women were the problem. How dare he so I got really upset and said just give us our check he offered us a free dessert and I told me can keep his desserts so we left. There could have been a bad batch that came out that could have gotten someone sick he was just not smart enough to understand that he should have investigated the matter. My party was not happy that I made a big deal out of it normally I would just pay the bill never go back. But I just had to express my anger because of his comments. read more

I have been to the Chicago location and had a really good experience, and when I saw that Bridgewater had a location, I wanted to share this with my daughters as they were carnivores like myself. We had a reservation at 6pm and were seated within 5 min, which was good. After our server, Albert, took our orders, everything went south. My cocktail took 10-15 min to arrive (I had to remind Albert) while the others got theirs right away. There was only, at most 5 or 6 cuts making there rounds. The picaña was the best, followed by the parmesan pork and lamb. The servers focused their attention to the big table beside us and never looked in our direction afterwards and kept walking towards the kitchen. I was hoping to see more cuts making their way but they must have gone to other tables. We ordered an extra side of roasted bananas but they never came. When it was time to get the check, I quickly mentioned to Albert about it. After 10 min, I look back to see him providing quicker service to other tables and I had to remind him about our check. He didn't apologize and some other server brought us the check. I think we were serviced by other people most of time; he just ignored us. He was just hovering back at the station without even caring about us. Very bad customer service. He never came around to check on us. Never asked about dessert. When we started to leave, they brought out the beef ribs!! Wtf! Don't waste your time here. The food is not worth it if the service is this bad. This was the worst restaurant experience I've ever had. As someone who had high hopes of tasting something that reminded me of Brazil, I've never felt so far from home. I'm not sure who was in charge of the playlist, but I'm certain it wasn't a Brazilian--Luísa Sonza and Anitta while you're trying to have dinner? It completely killed the atmosphere. There wasn't a single Brazilian employee there; everyone only spoke English. The food was unsalted, the meat was overcooked and tough, and when we asked for queijo coalho, the server corrected us and called it "honey cheese." Which is not what I asked for. They came by the table offering us juice, and even though there were two of us, they only brought one--despite both of us saying we wanted one. The service was terrible. Had heard such great things about Fogo de Chao and was excited to try it with my family this evening. I don't even know where to begin with the things that went wrong. When we arrived there were 5 tables near the bar area / hostess stand that were sitting empty waiting to be cleared of used plates and glasses. Once we sat and started our meal we found the salad bar to be nearly bare and in need of refresh. The bathroom garbage cans were also overflowing with trash. After finishing our salad bar course we asked our waiter for new plates (for our meat and sides) to which he responded "oh would you like dessert?" We were very confused considering we hadn't even eaten dinner yet. He then shared that people usually just get their own fresh plates from the salad bar to use for their dinner course. This is when we engaged another sever who graciously got us fresh plates and side dishes. Our original waiter never checked on us and never asked if we needed a refill on water or cocktails. Our drinks sat empty throughout our whole meal until a manager came out and personally got me a new cocktail as we were nearing the end of our meal. The meat also dwindled throughout meal. We did not see all the cuts of meat that were on the menu and some were extremely well done and not edible. Thank goodness for another server who helped send additional cuts of meat over to our table. When it was time to pay the check our original waiter magically appeared. I managed to get a drink but waited about 30 mins to get served at the HH section. No worries. Got my food which was quite good. Waitiwd another 25 mins for the bill. I understand that the bar makes drinks for the restaurant and have to serve people at the HH section but this is a bit too long, they should add another person to the bar. The main dining room was less than half empty at this time. The manager should have the knowledge to know where to assign the staff appropriately. read more

So we were excited to come for my sons birthday and have to say we left very disappointed. Restaurant was busy when we got there but hosts were clueless and less than welcoming. Very unprofessional. Waited about 5 minutes without even being spoken to and another 5 to be sat (we had reservation). We sat at the table for 10 minutes without even being no water or contact and finally after giving a look to the manager he came over apologized and a few minutes later a server appeared and offered us some free desserts for our wait. Meat service begins and after hour and a half there were still meat were weren't offered even after asking for it. My husband left hungry and annoyed. We did get a dessert menu but after ten minutes without anyone coming to take an order we requested the check. All and all it was a less then good experience. They were stingy with the meat when it came around and they stopped coming around!! It is not all you can eat it's all they feel like serving. My family has always wanted to try this place and so I booked us a reservation for January end and then I read the reviews (I know, wrong order of operations, oops!). I was nervous having read the negative reviews but I have to say our experience was beautiful! I think the reviews helped us prepare for the experience however and here is what worked for us - we went on a weekend evening. They are very busy, reservations are a must, but I think it means fresh food and constant rotation. The food was delicious and well seasoned. Get seated more in the center or back, not near the entrance. We asked for that as we saw when we entered that those near the front by the door don't get as much service as the back center. The servers were friendly, ambiance good and clean. Be prepared to wait for your alcohol / special drinks because the bar is small compared to amount of folks on a busy night. It did take a solid 30 minutes for my dad's drink to come from the bar but the server notified us that the bar was backed up. Ask and you'll receive. Having read the reviews knew to expect sides of plantains and polenta and so when we didn't receive it with our cheesy bread we asked for it and the server realized he'd forgotten and brought it. The servers were very kind but extremely busy because it works like a few waiters sharing a bunch of tables so maybe be prepared to be a little gracious :) read more

Horrible service. The so called "manager" was horrible, had no idea what he was doing and couldn't be bothered with anything. Shouldn't be a so-called manager if you can't interact appropriately with the customers. The food wasn't great, there were times where the meat was delicious and others where it was not, showing to be very inconsistent. There's a difference between charred and burnt, some meats were coming in more burnt than charred. read more

Very nice place, was there for birthday what a disappointment only got chicken,cheese,bacon meet and salad bar which was okay, no prime rib no good quality meat will not go again, wad not happy at all specially the service was terrible read more
