Who wasn't even our waiter.. now let's talk about the salad bar bad the worst set up I've ever seen. It's not a circle. They have food set up to the left and the right anyone that's getting the salad bar is running into each other and on a Wednesday with 10 people was a nightmare so I can only imagine how it is on a weekend.. every single time the food came to us. It was the last piece left. It felt like there was just dying for us to take the last piece with not once. Did we get any fresh food?. do I need to remind you that this place for only been open for three months?. There's another Brazilian restaurant down the street that is nine times better than us. This was my 50th bday. I am very hurt that it was so gross. I posted my experience on TikTok to make others aware. We were seated immediately but our service was horrible. Some of the waiters with the meat had broken English and we couldn't even understand what some of the meat was. Took us forever to get sides and assistance. Meat was constant. No issues with that. The meat was ALL tough, un flavorful and some even tasted like liver. This was in no way worth $63 a person. The sides as others stated was cold. Took us three tries to get a check to leave. Asking for a manager was pointless. Times are rough right now and my husband just wanted to take me somewhere nice. This missed the mark 100%. I was so disappointed about the lose of money more than anything. The restaurant is nice. But service and food needs a huge improvement. read more

The service is top notch and the salad bar was good. The only problem I have is the meat came out really slow (very slow). Maybe because it was a new location. There were 8 of us and we all had the card flipped to green and it took over 30 minutes just get someone to come and get a slice of meat. At one point the waitress had to ask the individuals serving the meat to come to put table. We ended up getting more bread and went to the salad bar several more times. The service was phenomenal! Every employee, including the manager, made sure that we were well taken care of - drinks and side dishes were constantly being replenished. The meat servers were steady in their service as well. Everything was delicious! We ordered a special serving of the Wagyu porterhouse. It melts in your mouth! We didn't get our money's worth. Paid $700 plus with $100 gratuity. Servers are very lousy and keep skipping our table even though the server was already next to our table and they still have meat. I have different experience from other fogo de chao. Been to Katy twice. my first experience in Katy were with my co workers we're all a total of 20. We all have the same comment we're not coming back but I said maybe bec its newly opened but the 2nd time I came back with my family it's the same experience. I feel like if they see your plate still have meat in it they will skip you and the serving is small. I ordered separate for my daughter. Service was terrible. We had to ask for drinks, dessert menu and they left the plates on the table long after we asked for a dessert menu. They were too busy focusing on end of the night side/closing work. 3/5 people in attendance are or were servers so we have empathy for the role but this was on another level. Father's Day at almost any restaurant would be crowded and a difficult experience. However this was a good experience for our table. It was crowded, of course, but the service was excellent and the food offerings were exquisite. The salad bar lived up to its reputation today. The meat offerings were excellent and at the top of the list for us were the lamb chops. We enjoyed sirloin, ribeye, pork butt and bacon wrapped steak as well as bacon wrapped chicken to name a few. We were offered mashed potatoes, plantains, and fried cheese at the table along with a couple of condiments such as chimichurrisauce , but the delicacy of the day were the cheese bread puffs! It sounds like a lot, but we were allowed to accept portions which let us taste each selection without gorging on a set serving. This location is new, but we were pleased with the individual service and accommodations. Speaking with the customer rep, Tashana was very cordial and welcoming. She was able to give us some interesting information about Fogo de Chao and it's commitment to serving Texas with Brazilian charm. An excellent celebration evolved into a great dining experience. We stopped by for a late dinner, but unfortunately, our server, Andrea, wasn't very attentive. We had to ask another staff member to bring us bread, and repeatedly relied on other waitresses to refill our drinks. I never write reviews but the experience we had last night was terrible. We have been to the Westheimer location for years, even had our company parties there with nothing but great experiences. Don't even bother with the new location, we sat there for 40 min before anyone brought meat by, when they did it was bloody cheap cuts of meat! We asked for some certain cuts at least 10 times and nothing ever came around, the sides of mashed potatoes came out with plate hot but potatoes were cold. When they did bring a specific cut out it was so burnt my wife took a bite and was done. I addressed the manager and she tried to fix but it was straight trash! Drinks were good! But it was 4 of us and I spent over $250 that's with the mgr discount that I didn't ask for. Seems as though Fogo de Chao is turning into a high dollar Golden Corral! read more

We had a bad experience at Fogo's in Houston for the first time. What I figured is the reason for experience is that new location, staff turn over so not very well trained. This caused the following: Not enough gauchos to serve all the food, not enough coverage. This resulted in our party not served their first piece of meat until 45 minutes after we were seated. Then we specifically requested what we would like to eat mostly and none of that ever made it to our table until we decided to talk to the manager and provided them the feedback. We like Fogo's and the food they serve. I hope they take the feedback and make corrections. Will give it a try again in few weeks to see if they improved. read more

Chama gaúcha is way better, but we used to like the Westheimer Fogo De Chão also. This location has lots of problems. The restaurant itself is obscenely cold. There is no lobster bisque at the salad bar. Pão de queijo was not hot. Meat cuts were either overcooked or too salty. Had to request additional plantains more than once and wait a long time for them. Atmosphere is okay but prefer the elegance of the Westheimer location. read more

We had dinner reservations for 7:30 for (4) at your Katy location. We were celebrating a good friend's birthday. After being seated our server disappeared it was at least 15 mins before we could order any drinks. We ordered (3) iced teas and (1) old fashioned. We then proceeded to the salad bar and upon return to our table the ice teas had arrived but not the old fashioned. The server did dropoff the wine list and I ordered bottle of Merlot. After that the server disappeared for most of the meal. The bottle of wine arrived from another employee who was not our server. After asking about the missing old fashioned it finally arrived but had sat so long at the bar the ice ball had melted. We asked about getting sweetener for our iced teas and yet another server brought us literally (2) pink packets for the entire table. We were brought exactly (3) mini rolls and told it would be a wait for anymore. The meats were delicious, but limited in selection as the same NY Strip, Bottom Roast, and Bacon Wrapped chicken were brought over and over while continued to ask for the Filet sword. Getting clean plates was next to impossible and we had ask several different people for them. The Filet sword finally showed up but it was towards the end of the meal when nobody was really hungry anymore. The same was true for the bowl of rolls that came as the dinner plates were being cleared. Our server finally appeared to offer us dessert menu and then disappeared again for another 15 mins before we could order anything. We ended up ordering (1) cheesecake for our friend's birthday which was very good by the time we got it. For a meal that started at 7:30 it was after 9:30 before we received our bill which was $359.00. I felt obligated to leave to a $50 tip ($409 total) but honestly considering the terrible service I really should have left nothing. When people go out for dinner they expect good service. Fogo De Chao is an upscale expensive restaurant where service should be exceptional. I have had better service from a server at Denny's on a $25 bill than at your restaurant. We went to celebrate my son's birthday and when we're seated, our waiter barely cracked a smile and didn't bother asking what the occasion was. He was attentive at the beginning filling up our glasses with water and bring bread to our table but after about 10 minutes, we barely saw him. The gentlemen bringing around the meat looked unhappy and bothered. The meat quality is not what it used to be and the salad bar did not have much of a selection. Let me start off by saying I was extremely excited to dine at Fogo. I saved up for a year for my evening. What we Experienced was So Bad, my family actually finds it comical. Ruined my birthday dinner. This was my first time here and I will never return. When we sat down, no one explained how the experience works. We were left to piece it together ourself slowly through the night. When it comes to entrees, 2 of my guests never received what they ordered. An hour and fifteen minutes passed and they still never got them the right thing. I watched a knife get dropped by a table server onto a guest at another table. My table side server dropped a piece of meat on the floor. I didn't think anything about it until I stepped on it when I got up from my table. They never addressed the situation. I had to tell them to pick it up. All night, Dirty dishes sat on our table until I flagged someone down to pick them up. By dessert time, I didn't even care to tell them it was my birthday. I just wanted to get out of this disastrous place. I'm literally writing this as my experience comes to an end. I didn't want to forget a thing that happened. So let's top off the night, they were Sold Out of the complimentary desserts they offered to Try and make the night better for us. I can't believe this place. Go somewhere else. Don't come here.
