I experienced their wonderful bar happy hour menu since I'm not a big eater. The bartender Paola was great. She actually gave recommendations when I couldn't decide between two items. She made fabulous drinks. I tried Superfruit Lemonade (VeeV Açai Spirit, Grand Marnier, fresh strawberry, blueberry, lemon) I thought I left something behind so I called. We were a party of 14 and in that mix there was a special needs 14 yr old who was obviously a special needs child. I ordered the full churrasco for her and as the meat started to arrive, I instructed the server to place it on my plate since she could not grab it, so I can cut it for her and her younger sister who was also asking me to cut it, so they would be able to eat it. But, Very quickly and abrupt our waitress came and whisper, you will not be able to eat the serving you order, you have to pay per person for the full churrasco. I looked at her and told her she's special needs I need to cut her food. Then, disappeared with no explanation or never came back to clarify- I didn't know if I was going to get my original order, I also wanted to get an extra plate to put my kids bones so she didn't keep thinking I wanted to eat my kids food.. At this point it was just sad that either a manager made that call to instruct her to go tell me this.. or to train her to be so hasty and harsh and assume that everyone wants free meat. I don't mind rules but you have to be able to use common sense for every situation. There has to be some kind of flexibility- as a mom and as a mom to a special needs child I felt watched like a guard and uncomfortable that I in some way couldn't touch my kids meat or else I would get reprimanded. For a mall location, the interior of Fogo de Chão is surprisingly upscale -- you really feel like you've stepped into a fine dining restaurant. The ambiance is elegant, lively, and definitely sets the tone for a special meal. That said, the cost is very expensive. At $73 per person for the Full Churrasco Experience, even with it being all-you-can-eat, it can feel a bit steep especially when you're only getting one slice of meat each time the gauchos come by. The staff does come around frequently, which I appreciated since it never felt like they were trying to delay service or keep the portions tiny. The Market Table is a mix of hits and misses. Some items are really good; I loved all the cheeses, dried meats, and peppers, especially when you want a break from the meat. But there are also quite a few mediocre items that feel like filler. The sides included with the meal yuca fries and mashed potatoes were unfortunately cold, which was disappointing since so many offerings at the Market Table are also chilled. A couple of hot, fresh sides would really elevate the experience. Overall, we did enjoy our evening here: great service, beautiful atmosphere, tasty meats. I love Fogo de Chão and usually go for special occasions or group outings. This time my husband and I went for our anniversary, and overall we had a nice meal. We did the churrasco experience, and while the service was definitely on the slower side, we still enjoyed the food. They took a while to come by with the different cuts of steaks so that made me take away a star, we also asked for a certain cut to come out again and it never did. This wouldn't be my top Fogo location, it's smaller than others and being inside the mall takes away a bit of the ambiance , but it's still a good option if this is the closest Fogo to you. read more

Sadly this was a disappointing experience - came here with my family to celebrate a graduation and this is probably our 5th time coming here. We have always had a great experience but last night was not good at all. Quality of food and service has really gone down ! At first the same two cuts of meat kept coming to our table and then we waited for 30-40 minutes for any meat at all to come by our table- of course the market table is open and that was all good but we didn't pay 80 per person for the salad bar- we went to rodizio for the meat. They started clearing our table and we were still waiting for meat- actually they didn't even bring their grilled cheese and honey over to the table. I don't even know where to start, but let me just put it this way, super disappointed. We went midweek and the restaurant was pretty empty. It is an absolutely huge space and nicely decorated inside. I could see having parties here or attending with a large group of friends. We started up with one waitress, who didn't seem to be able to answer any of our questions and then she disappeared and then we eventually got somebody else. Not sure what happened there. They say you will get an offering of 14 different meats, but we counted only 6. For the amount of money you are paying this was so not worth it. Also, we prefer our meat medium rare and every time they came by they offered us well done meat only. When we inquired about medium rare, they said they will have that and come back around, but they never did. I also don't know if something I ate was off, could have been from the salad bar, which was mediocre, but out of nowhere I got violently ill and had to run to the restroom to throw up. What arrived was one banana cut in half and four tiny strips of yuca, each about the size of an Orbit chewing gum. The mashed potatoes were spread thin on the plate, like butter on toast. I'm speaking for both the Paramus and the Wayne experiences, but they come out with all sorts of meats and the salad/side bar is plentiful of options. I would recommend coming thru for the weekend brunch because of the breakfast choice that they have. They actually make omelets on demand in front of you! I went TWICE this week for lunch with different people. We ordered the full Churrasco meal. The meat tasted good but small portions. The meat selection and taste was better the first time I went this week. The second time the quality and variety were not as good. The Market Table(salad bar) looked AMAZING, but a lot of the items were VERY VERY SALTY. I was thirsty literally ALL DAY till I went to bed. The service was less than average. I noticed the staff...hostess, server, meat carvers did not seem very friendly. The decor was pretty nice. However, there was a slight but noticeable musty odor that I'm guessing from the carpet. The tile floor next to the Market Table is also a bit greasy and slippery. I doubt I would ever choose to go back unless my family/friends want to go. I wish I could have given it more stars since I've been wanting to come here for some time now. However I can't. Let me start by saying they definitely seat you depending on what you are wearing. We had reservations, got there early. The 3 of us were in jeans, one was wearing nice jeans with ripped knees but unless you were looking you couldn't tell they were rippwd and a nice hat, this is were I say we were seated based on our clothes, we were told we had to wait for a table to clear so while we waited a couple came in, she in a dress and heels he was office casual with a sports jacket, they were seated right away in the main dinning area. We were finally seated all the way in the far right side, poorly lit back room, very smelly corner table where there were two families with small unruly children having birthday parties. We went for the $49/$54 rodizo they advertise HOWEVER that wasn't the case. When we had asked about it because nowhere on the menu does it show the offer, the waitress pointed to two places on the menu one for $74 and the other for $96. We decided to go with entrees at this point. My daughter picked Stake Picanha, and I picked the Lamb Picanha, both were supposed to be table carved 8-10 Oz total meat. If we got a total 3 Oz of each that was a lot. The guy only came by our table twice within the 2 plus hours we were there, each time we each got two things slices of meat. The lamb was horrible, it was flavorless. We were never asked if we wanted dessert and were just handed out check. $300 for 3 people...3 entrees, 1 side and 4 drinks. The floors were so greasy and slippery that i actually slipped going to the salad bar and the women's bathroom was dirty with one stall door broken. Upon walking into the restaurant, I was in awe by the gorgeous interior design as it had a very lavish feel. We decided to do the full rodizio experience which came out to $70 pp. It includes the market table which had a phenomenal, large variety of fruits, cheeses, meats, salads, rice and beans and more! In addition, you receive 4 family style sides: maduros, polenta, garlic mashed potatoes and Pão de queijo. & the sides were just as delicious as the meat. We ate bacon wrapped chicken & steak, picanha, sausage & more that I can't remember but the list of meats that comes around is extensive. In addition, their staff is phenomenal. We were constantly being checked in on- but not in an overbearing way. They came with clean plates when needed & cleared dishes often, when necessary. My husband and I were full from our dinners, but one of the servers insisted we get a dessert because it is complimentary on your bday. We picked the papaya cream & it was unlike anything I've ever tasted! I placed an order through DoorDash -- this was only my second time ordering -- and once again, the experience was terrible. The food arrived incomplete. I specifically ordered my steak medium rare, but it was packed well done. They completely forgot the rice and salad. I also ordered one pound of chicken legs, but they only sent three small pieces. On top of that, the packaging was awful. Whoever is in charge of preparing the takeout orders is extremely careless and clearly not paying attention, because nothing was done according to the order. I also loved my passion fruit caipirinha. If we'd just had drinks at the bar and cheese bread, this would be a 5 star review. But my fish entree I ordered was overpriced and not good. The three others in my party did the rodizio. 2 did the full monte and 1 did the single all you can eat choice. This was REALLY expensive and they said the cuts of meat weren't the best. 2 of them were sick after...not sure if it was the rodizio or something on the salad bar. For the price point, Fogo de Chao missed the mark. We made reservations for Christmas dinner. We were sat at the small tables right next to the bar. The music was incredibly loud and we were constantly surrounded by people either walking by or standing and talking next to our table. Our water glasses were dirty and there was food on my seat. The paper menu was covered in stains. It took over 10 minutes for someone to greet us and take our order. They asked if it was our first time there, we said it was and then they proceeded to poorly explain how everything works. We ordered entrees thinking that we would just get one serving of meat, sides and unlimited salad bar. This is not the case. The entrees just allow unlimited servings of the one style of meat you pick. Waiting for the one server with your style of meat was unpleasant because they were scarce. Once we got the meat, it was pretty good. The tableside upselling is tacky, but we did purchase the $27 "jumbo" shrimp cocktail. The shrimp had a weird texture and were not fully cleaned. We received the sides way before we found the server with our style meat. The mashed potatoes were a soupy texture. The fried polenta was stale. The mini popover were raw in the middle. We ordered a bottle of wine and the wine service is very formal. The bottle was presented, cork was offered - the whole show. That was nice. I ordered a specific ice wine with desert and was given a different one because they were out of the one i ordered. I questioned the server and the manager was very dismissive and snobby - he said they gave me a "better one". I would have appreciated being told that before being given something random that I didn't order. Overall, the price does not match the quality offered. This is the third location of Fogo De Chao that we've been to. I normally really enjoy the food and service in each visit but there was something off about the floor plan of this venue. (We've been to NYC, Orlando and now Paramus) The extra seating on the left of the restaurant just gets not so great access to the market table. You will need to go down 5 or 6 steps of stairs before you get to the table. The selection of the market table also felt smaller compared to the one in NYC. The steak selection is also fewer and we felt like the options were just not flowing properly to where we were seated. If we were to drive half hour to go Bergen county, we might as well drive to NYC as the vibe is on the higher end and service is better. read more

So this was a place I took my wife for the Valentine's Day gift. I made a reservation a week ago at 6 pm. We set within 5 minutes when we arrived there. I did request semi-private so the table was inside. Our waitress explained very nicely about how to use the green and the red cards to get your meat as they come by. We have been here twice since I saw it had opened in Garden State. So far, we found nothing disappointing here! All the meats have been great - all properly seasoned and tender. The sides (plantains, mashed potatoes, cheese bread, and polenta fries) are enjoyable and we lightly pick off the market table to cut the fattiness of the meat but not fill up on it. My favorite cuts so far have been the pork belly, ribeye, and picanha. The lamb and chicken varieties are also good. On one visit, the next table over asked for the cheese - which came out grilled and served with honey - very good! Both times we have gotten slightly different varieties of things. It seems like you can ask for things if you were passed over or they haven't brought it out yet. At the end of our meal, we asked for ribeye and pork belly (ribeye came out promptly but after that and cheese/honey we decided to call it quits and then I saw the pork belly go by). With each dining experience here, we learn something new! We have tried 2 desserts - papaya cream and tres leches, both of which were excellent. The cocktails and Brazilian lemonade are also very nice. Our brunch experience was quite fast paced and it was a little hard to keep up, but dinner was slower due to a busier restaurant. Both times we made a reservation. It is quite a big space and they can accommodate a lot of people so it seems like walk-ins wouldn't be a problem. The price is worth it for the amount you can eat - just be careful to pace yourself and pick and choose your cuts. Brunch and weekday lunch are cheaper than dinner but the cuts of meat are the same. If you are a veteran - make sure to take advantage of the 50% off deal veteran's Day weekend (if offered). I hope they continue to offer this in the future! read more

11/11/23 Fogo de Chao had an outside entrance and an inside the mall entrance. Which would allow them to open on Sundays when the Garden State Plaza is closed for the Blue Law. Brazilian rodízio-style steakhouses which means they keep coming with different types and cuts of meat. And they have a salad bar called the Market Table. Keep going back for the various charcuterie, salads, soups and deserts while the wait staff keeps walking around with meat to carve onto your plate. Pina Colada and something with Passionfruit :D They start us off with a plate of Garlic Mash, Maduros, Yucca Fries and Cornbread like rolls. We did not know they would bring all this before we even started eating. The mash was amazing! It's looks simple but has so much flavor. Hubby liked the maduros. The yucca fries were too hard :/ Neither of us liked the cornbread like rolls... too bad it's such a waste of food. I can't have beef anymore :( so I opted to order the Chilean Sea Bass and was told I can add the Market Table to my order, great! Off I go to the salad bar and loaded up on various items. Meanwhile hubby's starts on the meats. I come back with my plate and he's happily chomping away on various MEATS! LOL They just keep coming! He liked the Lamb, Picanha and Garlic Steak best. My Chilean Sea Bass came and it was delicious! I only wished they put more of the salsa! Delicious combination!
