For us nothing stood out when compared to other Brazilian steakhouse. My oldest son had wanted to visit for years and before he was done he and my other son stated they preferred Texas De Brazil. To me they are about equal in food quality and service. Fogo has a more intimate feel and their menu options seem to be better. But I have always gone for the all too can eat experience which I've been to 3 different Brazilian steakhouse and they were pretty much the same experience. Our waitress who sat us we really couldn't understand, her follow up throughout dinner was lackluster, and we had to track people down to get other items or refills. Now on to the meat selection. It was good, a few pieces, excellent. Roasted chicken, garlic chicken, top sirloin, and spicy sirloin. The lamb, all the pork, bacon wrapped filet were all overcooked. It was a very nice spot with nice decor and it made the ambience very very luxurious. So ask for the food there are some hit and missing things, but mostly misses. I thought some things like the spicy steak, pork belly cheese, complementary bread, picanha, bacon-wrapped chicken, and salad bar were all very good. The rest of the meats like the steak ribeye some of the bacon wrapped items like the bacon wrapped steak left a lot to be desired; A lot of it was dry or and or underseasoned, and if it was salted a lot of the time it was extremely salted. Despite the white glove service, it was very, very slow at times to get water or meat brought to our table, especially near the end of our meal. I understand that our party was large. We had a party of 20 but with the price of the restaurant and the capacity of the dining room. I'm sure they should be used to large parties dining in like that and safe to say we did not have a good experience unlike other places we've been to. I think Fogo mainly relies on hype to get around and that's why they have so many chain restaurants all around the East Coast and other spots of America. I stopped in in between shopping in Short Pump for a quick drink. Fogo has an all day happy hour every day with food and drink deals. It was great because I went in on Labor Day, when most restaurants weren't offering any specials. I had a Tito's cucumber cocktail, and a glass of rose. Please don't waste your time GO TO TEXAS DE BRAZIL. Our server Marihangel was terrible. We only seen her maybe twice during our visit, both times we had to stop her from continuing to just walk past us & ignore us. The manger greeted us because we were left un-greeted for 10 minutes. & by the time she walked over she didn't even know that we had already been started by her manager. Other workers came by throughout the visit to make sure we were okay and replace our waters and pre-bus which I really appreciated. Specifically Christopher, he was so kind and attentive to us although we weren't his assigned table & he brought so much light and energy to help fix our terrible experience. The table we were sat at was also terrible. We were a table of 6 in the corner near the cold buffet, we had a stroller and the host still sat us at a table that was near the walk way. Servers with full trays of dirty dishes or otherwise continued to hold their heavy trays over our stroller. One of which told us twice to move it over after almost dropping it on our baby. The gauchos were kind and polite, the manager was also very nice and tried his best to help rectify the situation. Overall a terrible establishment, especially for the price. The best thing about dinner is having dinner reservations that are actually timely. We were promptly seated and Nick was amazing. I tried the black beans and rice because I knew my palate needed a barrier for my spicy steak. I enjoyed the service, continuous variety of top meats ( chicken, lamb and steak). We had a 1:00 pm reservation here on Sunday to cap off a fun filled enjoyable weekend! We walked in and were seated immediately. One of the worst dining experiences I've ever had. Went to celebrate a birthday and ordered 2 entrees(one included the cold bar with traditional sides). My entree came out first and while we waited I let my partner have a taste from my plate. Someone quickly came over and stated there is no sharing of food unless we want an entree to be changed. We stated that we had ordered 2 entrees and he was simply tasting a bite of my food. They threatened to change our price on the final bill if he eats off of my entree again. The entree was $50 and my partner was not "allowed" to taste my food. Not only was it unprofessional it was embarrassing and tacky for wait staff to constantly be policing whether my partner is eating from my entree or not. The four-course Vik wine dinner at Fogo de Chão was phenomenal and more than worth it! From the food to the wine pairings to the service -- an elevated without over-the-top experience. Plus a huge a shoutout to the amazing staff Frankie, Kevin, Santiago, Sofia, Rachel and many more wonderful humans. The night tasting started off with creamy sweet corn chowder, and a tomato and burrata salad - burrata that was absolutely refreshing. The meal was paired with a rosé, which was light and flavorful. Then came the picanha (one of my favorite meats), served with fried polenta (like fried), queso frito, and caramelized bananas. The red wine that came with it (2021 Vik Milla Cala) was smooth and rich. While the sides on this wear my least favorite (because I don't like polenta or bananas) the picanha was so out of this world I had two pieces. The lamb chops were juicy accompanied with the chiles toreados, which were too spicy for me. By the time the Wagyu New York Strip came out with garlic mashed potatoes and the Vik red blend, I was almost full, but it's waygu so I managed to have two thinly sliced strips. I MADE room for the warm berry bread pudding, vanilla ice cream, and it was absolutely worth it! If you ever get the chance to do one of these wine dinners, don't think twice. If I could give this a zero I would. 6 total tables and literally no meat circulated for 10 minutes at a time and our table was consistently missed. The staff serviced one particular table always first and brought left overs to the rest of us. Staff were cleaning up early and the key meat we requested came out after an hour being seated. It was just okay, we usually go to Texas De Brazil. The salad bar was underwhelming, they had fried zucchini and sweet potatoes served cold on a bed of ice. The whole set up was kind of strange. When they brought the meat out, they were well done, our table asked for med. rare. The service was okay, but was hard to get refills of water, as the food was very salty. One of my favorite things about a Brazilian steakhouse is the salad bar and this salad bar was so underwhelming, the food there didn't taste fresh and was picked over. Overall food was decent ( what we got of it). Very busy and only had maybe four different meats. Asked for filet and it never came. Salmon was overcooked and was very dry. Tasteless. Water glasses remained empty much of the meal, servers stopped frequently but did not follow through on requests. Would avoid coming here, particularly on special occasions. We've given Fogo two tries since they've opened, and it's a nice date night spot or restaurant to go to if you are celebrating a special occasion - especially if they are offering the Best of the Brazil option for $49. They offer all you can eat meats as well as the salad bar. The food isn't immaculate but for the deal, it is worth trying. But there was no good food. I was there for two full hours and was almost begging for the check. Service did not exist. My seat was missing a fork and so I waited, asked multiple staff, and waited more for a fork as everyone around me ate and as my plate became full of food. I ordered a glass of wine in the very beginning only to be told an hour later, they were out. Why could nobody tell me the drink I kept waiting on wasn't available? By that time, meat stopped coming to our table and when I looked around there was no meat in our section of the restaurant. We were never offered bread until we asked over an hour into the meal. The part I was most looking forward to was the meat. It was so dry and overcooked, I had to chew and keep chewing and keep chewing. The only edible meat was the bacon wrapped chicken. At the end of the wait, my friend and I said "let's just order a dessert to use up the gift cards because we will not be coming back". This was my first time at any Fogo de Chão but I've been to other Brazilian steakhouses (US & Rio). My friend shared a screenshot about their national caipirinha day celebration special and I made a reservation immediately. For $29/pp we got 2 caipirinhas and delicious bar bites. From making the reservation the service was great; we had to arrive late and the note was made and we had no issues. Upon arrival we were seated promptly and Kevin and Santiago took great care of us. Our waters were constantly filled and they along with the other servers came around often with the bar bites. I wish I would've taken pictures of everything but the food was delicious. The empanadas and bacon wrapped chicken were my favorite. The chicken was cooked perfectly, so moist and flavorful. In addition to what's pictured we also enjoyed the chicken sliders, bacon wrapped steak, candied bacon, and the braised beef crostini. If you've had a caipirinha then you know they're delicious and the cachaça is usually strong buttt that's how we like them. I think of the stateside steak houses Fogo's caipirinha's are the best. Hopefully they're regularly this good. The passion fruit was my favorite followed by the strawberry hibiscus. The restaurant itself is nice and inviting. Our servers, Kevin and Tina, were super attentive, friendly, and kept everything flowing smoothly for our large group. Let's talk food. The meat, which is the star of the show here, was just okay. While they had a variety of cuts, the quality wasn't what I expected for a $98 per person experience. Some cuts were dry, and overall, the seasoning was lacking. I was hoping for more flavor and better tenderness. They stayed true to Brazilian-style churrasco, but I would've liked more variety. The salad bar was fresh and had a decent variety, but it could've used more warm dishes. Most of the options were cold, and it left me wanting something heartier to pair with the meat. I would have wanted more variety there as well. Dessert, on the other hand, was incredible. The cheesecake was hands-down the best part of the meal... rich, creamy, and beautifully presented. Definitely worth saving room for. Drinks were incredible as well. I recommend the $10 strawberry drink. I don't know where to start with this place. First of all, don't let the price tag deceive you into thinking you won't get your money's worth (for the "Full Churrasco" at least). The $65 dinner and $49 lunch prices tends to scare casuals (like me) away. But I have to say, if you want steak, you are going to have to pay. Usually when you go to a restaurant and get a decent sized steak, you will be paying at least $35, plus appetizers, which are included at Fogo de Chao in the Full Churrasco- as it includes a fruit bar, salad bar and other sides such as mashed potatoes, fried bananas, cheese bread, and more. Of the entrees, the honey cheese is my favorite, as well as the top sirloin and fillet mignon. Here, you will be getting much higher quality food than one of those other restaurants, and in whatever quantity you desire, and you will be surrounded by a beautiful atmosphere and the kindest of people in the world. Leo was serving my group, and provided us with an exquisite experience, as he was very flexible with every request for a fillet and was willing to make our experience one to remember. As a college student and athlete trying to make money, every time I make $50, I sometimes motivate myself, thinking of it as one trip here- which says a lot, because I am typically very wise with my money. When I attend Fogo de Chao, it doesn't just make every other food I eat seem mediocre, but it is always an experience to remember. read more

We didn't know there was a brunch menu during the weekend and were unexpectedly surprised when we found out the churrasco experience was cheaper than the dinner menu. The churrasco experience is the all you can eat typical Brazilian steakhouse option where they bring the meats tableside and you have access to the market table / buffet. The market table had an assortment of cheeses, deli meats, salad bar, and a variety of sides like potato salad, quinoa tabbouleh, Brazilian street corn, chicken salad, and marinated mushrooms. During brunch the market table has additional offerings like Belgian waffles and made-to-order omelets. About 80% of the listed meats on the menu were in rotation. After awhile they started to blend together. I do wish they all had more seasoning or flavor but I recognize some people like to taste the meat itself. Our favorites were the garlic steak, bacon-wrapped steak, spicy pork sausage, and the beef ribs. You're able to request a specific meat if it doesn't come through, which we did. Our server checked in a few times to see if we got to try it and we still hadn't and were going to tap out. He made sure we got to try it and even offered a dessert on the house for the inconvenience. Reservations can be made on OpenTable. The parking lot is very small but West Broad Village has a garage right across. Overall, I don't think there were meats we absolutely need to come back for but the service was so great that I would come back for a special occasion and would take advantage of the brunch menu again. read more

We had a 4:00 PM reservation and arrived 10 minutes early. Despite the restaurant being virtually empty, we spent those 10 minutes standing by the hostess station because no one was there to greet us. Once seated, it took another 10 minutes for a waiter to appear to take our order. Even then, it was another 20 minutes before our drinks--an unsweetened tea and two Brazilian lemonades to finally hit the table. It took three attempts to get one refill of unsweetened tea. The lemonades were one of the high points of the meal, the deserts being the other. The food was equally disappointing, most of the meats were significantly under-seasoned and lacked flavor. Several of the cuts were quite tough. To make matters worse, both the men's and women's restrooms were filthy and had a very unpleasant odor. Given the lack of attention to the guests and the basic upkeep of the facility, I won't be returning. read more
