My five stars today goes to our waiter, Michael. His humor and attention to detail were beyond reproach, and I greatly appreciated how he made us feel as if we were the most important table he had. Had a bite of lasagna the server Jeremy S was generous with the cheese. But I was so full from the soup and salad. I didn't finish it. The bread and herbs is always good. Not my most favorite of the wine dinners we have had here. The first 2 wines were not great. I think they needed another server as there were long wait periods for both wine and courses and the main entre (steak) was not even warm. Our waiter was the bomb, he was very informative, very patient with us making our choices and just a great all around guy !!! The food was so so good I had the lasagna, so much, just couldn't eat it all spouse had the steak with mushrooms and he loved it The appetizers were also great, the spritzers were very good and on Tuesday they are only $6 win win We had the dessert to go because of so much food and ate it later in hotel. The place looks nicely decorated, the seats were comfortable, and I was flattered there was an option to try one of their highly regarded wine. The bread is served with olive oil with a ton of spices and herbs. The fried zucchini is nice, but I like the soup more. I got the lobster ravioli. There were 11 of them served in a cream sauce with diced tomatoes. But what I got really excited for was the option to take an entree home. We tried to visit a Mexican restaurant in the same plaza but were told their kitchen was shut down a whole hour before closing time. We walked over to Carrabba's which was closing in 30 min and were seated promptly and without incident. The menu had plentiful options. I opted for 16oz Rib eye and my wife chose the Branzino with pesto. The service was fantastic Jeremy took great care of us and checked in on us multiple times during our meal. I ordered several entrees, Mezzaluna, Pork Chops and Chicken Rosa Maria were very good as usual. Tried the new lunch pizza, w as very small and dry. The Garlic Lemon Herb Linguine with Chicken was awful, looked nothing like the photo or description. There was very little sauce, just some water on the bottom of the container. Tasted like strong burnt garlic, no lemon or butter favor at all. No cherry tomatoes, just a handful of tiny chopped up orange tomato pieces and a few pieces of spinach. Chicken was barely grilled. My boyfriend and I came here on a Friday night around 6:30pm and they were packed! But we were seated quickly at a high top in the bar. Our server was fast, efficient, friendly, funny and attentive. Carrabba's has a big menu with lots to choose from. I ordered the chicken Bryan which I never had before with broccoli and Italian salad. My boyfriend got the sirloin with broccoli and mashed potatoes and Italian salad. The bread and salads came out fast and were fresh tasting. Not that long after the entrees came. Mine was tasty but not hot at all and my boyfriend said the same about his steak. It's a shame because other than that the food would have been more tasty. I was in the mood for the Johnny Trio tonight. We were promptly greeted upon arrival and waited the hostess got our table ready. They were hosting a wine dinner tonight as well. It looks like something I'd be interested in. I'm not sure how often these events are happening but they had one tonight and the same menu on 9/25/2024. The lighting was perfect. Sometimes restaurants have the lights too dim for my liking. We were greeted by our server, Emily. She took our drink and app order. I ordered the app combo. Everything came out quickly. The entrees of the night were the Johnny Trio, Veal Marsala and Lobster Ravioli. Sorry, no pictures. The only negative of the night was the veal wasn't tender but they recovered quickly. My daughter put in a new order for the Johnny and she was pleased. I ordered an after dinner drink. Their new espresso martini is great! I recommend it, if you're into that kind of thing. Mike stopped by to check on us and chatted for a bit. He's a gracious host and the proprietor of this establishment. I love that I always see him in the restaurant. Even if he doesn't come by you'll see him around. We've always been fond of Carrabba's. We'll surely return. read more

We would (past tense) go to Carrabba's in Jax Bch because of the happy hour specials, Polla Rosa Maria, and the pork chops. Last night was the last and final time we will be going until they improve. Happy hour now ends at 6:00pm, not 7:00. I don't get off work until 5:00. So that takes away one of my perks. The chicken for the Polla dish is so small. It's been getting smaller, but last night's took the cake! They looked like a breast off a pheasant!! And I'm paying more for less... another perk gone! The pork chops were ordered medium rare. 1st time here @ this Carrabba's Italian Grill. We enjoy our Happy Hour Apps when we go to most places. Now that everyone's able to @ bar and in bar area seating. Which we are glad about that. There was a time ago when the bar was just that, the bar. No booths nor tables to be seated at. But we thank God we can enjoy the discounted prices. So now that I've arrived at the price... Happy Hour prices were marked at $8. However, we opted to get the full menu appetizer, Tomato Caprese Burrata, and the Calamari. The Caprese was $11.29, and the Calamari was $15.29. We also had the Canoli Cake for 2, by the way. It was $15.29, which was good. Now, back to the appetizers, which were @ $8 half size, and you get 3 bite-sized breads and toppings vs. 6 pieces at the listed full price. Now, as for the Calamari, you spend a dollar more for full portion, and it's not premium, but ok. Frank ordered that. It's better anytime you squeeze lemon alllll over it, and in this case, for those who like lemon on seafood, it's better. If there were a next time, I'd prefer the Happy Hour half portion @ the $8 price point vs. $15.29 price point. We didn't order anything more because we just weren't going to be able to eat two full meals without having to have it packed up. We were satisfied with that and ate dessert. We visited the Carrabba's at Jacksonville Beach, FL and it was superb food. One of the waiters with an incredible voice was singing in Italian to some of the guests at the bar and that was a nice touch. The food was plentiful and we were tariffed with leftovers. It was a little annoying the waiter kept trying to sell us the take home $10 menu items when we clearly told him we were visiting and had no microwave in our hotel room; but in his defense it's possible the management are having them upsell or offer this to each and he was just trying to meet a quota but it was a bit much. My husband got the Chicken Picatta one of his absolute favorite dish's and I got the kids meatball and spaghetti. It was happy hour so my husband got an Italian Old Fashion and I tried their Blackberry Sangria, first alcoholic drink in almost 5 years and it was good but It was too much even at happy hour price. I only was able to have a sip or two and hubby got to finish it. I have elevated liver enzymes due to medication so I just avoid alcohol all together but it was definitely yummy and blackberry is one of my favorite fruits besides strawberries and bananas so it was good to try. We also got some pesto frittes I believe they were called and they were flavorful but a bit on the greasy side so we didn't eat more then the one we tried. They were on the happy hour appetizer menu. Average Pricing for the area. We found the current rating accurate but a little generous. Our service was good and the atmosphere is what might be expected. The food was good but I wanted more seasoning in the sauce. The lasagna was good, it seemed to have a little uncooked or overcooked pasta as it was a bit crunchy in a couple bites. They provided free bread but it was a little unremarkable. For the price it was just okay in my opinion. It was actually pretty good. Pain trying to get into the parking lot. All the entrances was blocked except for the one from 3. Started off with a dirty martini for me and berry sangria for candyce with meatball with ricotta cheese appetizer. Pretty good. I had the chicken with cheese and prosciutto stuffed and grilled with mushroom gravy. Supposed to be sauted broccoli but looked just boiled. Chicken was very good. I didn't expect much from a carrabbas by the beach, usually chain restaurants by the beach mess up and are mediocre in my previous experience . However this carrabbas has changed by mind. Everything was very fast and accurate and the taste was there! No hiccups at all. I'm very pleased with this place. I did order to go and risked it being even more inaccurate but nope it was all good to go I order the fettuccine wessie and cannoli cake along with a side salad. Meal came up to around 35 bucks. October 16, 2024 - Our family group of 11 stopped in for an early dinner. We went in at about 5pm, before the dinner rush so that it would be easier on the staff. We were promptly seated and given menus. Soon came wonderful warm bread. There was olive oil on the table, and balsamic vinegar was brought out after we asked. The bread was delicious and consumed... we asked for more and after we asked a third time, it arrived halfway through our meal. It took quite some time before beverage orders were taken. Long enough that some in our family went to the bar, ordered, and returned with beverages before our table had even placed orders. The children's menu has a variety of selections/choices and the regular menu is extensive. Everyone enjoyed their choices, with a couple of exceptions. Three of us had the minestrone soup and all commented that it was quite salty and noticed that one bowl had some broth and two others didn't. The family member that had the shrimp and scallop linguine alla vodka was stricken with food poisoning about 6 hours later (tethered to the toilet for the next 8 hours, and was ill on and off for 24-36 hours). That family member was the only one who ordered an entree not shared with someone else. read more

The food unfortunately wasn't great. Outside of the freshly baked bread the rest of the food was forgettable. The salad was drenched with dressing to the point it had to be sent back and we asked for the dressing on the side. We ordered chicken Marsala, the chicken was on the dry side and the Marsala sauce extremely spicy with too much pepper. Also ordered veal piccata, veal tasted like it was frozen and quickly defrosted. It was tough to chew. Tasteless. We went here to celebrate my sister's birthday. The food is still one of my favorite! I got the chicken Bryan and it didn't disappoint! So good! However my husband had a seafood pasta but for some reason it tasted like the rinsed the pasta with sugar water. It was oddly sweet. They used to play music in the background which made it feel more festive but lacked that energy. The service was ok. Once they served the food, they never checked back with us. Rising to the occasion during the Great Covid-19 Pandemic Lockdown of 2020, Carrabba's of Jax Beach made it super easy (and super classy) to order online (love their app!) and then roll up 20 minutes or so later to pick up my food. I also like that their app lets you specify what time you would like to have your order ready - super convenient! On my latest trip, I ordered the 6oz Tuscan Grilled Sirloin; medium rare, of course (only and best way to enjoy a steak). The spicy Sicilian butter and garlic aioli sent it over the top. Complemented with some steamed broccoli, Cesar salad, and tiramisu for dessert, it was a perfect meal! Keep up the great work, Carrabba's. Very disappointed with food and service. I haven't been to Carrabba's for awhile but had plans in the area. My family decided it would be a good spot for dinner. The restaurant was almost empty at 6:30 on a Sunday evening. My marsala was so incredibly salty and broccoli was prepared well but no seasoning just bland. Others weren't happy about there meals either. Service was slow at best. We had to ask for oil, bread, silverware and a kids menu. Only reason for two stars is a friendly gentleman employee as we entered. Update: While I appreciate the response from the restaurant it is to little too late. I noticed the blanket response to everyone who gave a negative review. Instead of the response take the review to heart and correct the restaurant. read more

I placed an order on Carrabba's website for pick-up and had to pay through Uber - that is how it was set up. I drove there to pick up my food. Carrabba's never prepared my order. Initially, they couldn't even find evidence that I had placed an order. Wasted my time. Then they finally found the receipt. I had paid $72.34 to Uber for this meal that they never prepared. Carrabba's offered to redo my order. When I came to pick it up, they had me pay again!!! They said I would have to contact Uber for a refund for the first payment. Don't they have an arrangement with Uber where Uber gives them a portion of the money I paid? And now I am having to fight Uber for a refund. Uber is a terrible company anyway but in this case, I blame Carrabba's for all this inconvenience. Plus the Salmon was just so-so and the meal was terribly overpriced. The last straw was that I had to pay a tip! It was a pick up order for Christ's sake! I drove there myself! Twice! They wasted so much of my time. You would think they would give me a discount for the inconvenience of failing to prepare my order so I had to make 2 trips there. Nope. I have to pay a tip. And now I have to fight Uber for a refund. I am beyond pissed! read more

He was super friendly and checked on us regularly. We started off with some bread that we could dip in some oil with herbs. I ordered the lobster ravioli and my niece had the spaghetti with meat sauce. I was very impressed with the lobster ravioli as the last time I ordered this dish at another Italian food chain it was gross. The sauce was just right, not too rich! And the ravioli was tender and not overcooked and it included lots of tasty lobster meat stuffed inside. I also tasted my nieces spaghetti with meat sauce which I thought was also great! The consistency of the sauce was good and the meat sauce was tasty. I ordered the tiramisu for dessert but was not impressed. It's not that it tasted horrible, it just didn't taste like tiramisu. It had a hint of a peanut butter flavor which I did not like. I will absolutely go back to this Carrabba's location in Jacksonville Beach! Came in for dinner while on vacation with my father and it was an alright experience. I would give my experience just a 3 however there were some factors that brought my review up. First, the hostess and wait staff decently friendly and we were seated immediately. Unfortunately it was beside a very large party of people celebrating which was rather loud and not relaxing throughout our meal. Service was going as fast as they could, but was having a little trouble. The waiter came by and informed us that they were a little slow due to short staffing. He was very accommodating asking if there was anything he could bring us or do to make our wait better. We surely appreciated that. Food was delicious! Our bread was hot out of the oven and my Tuscan Chicken was hot off the grill and was well seasoned. Got some Tiramisu of course for desert. Also fabulous! Restaurant and table were both clean.
