As we walked in we waiters a couple of minutes for the hostess to come to the front and greet us. Upon asking us how big our group is we were seated at our table. Our server took a bit to come and take our drink order after putting our drink order we ordered an appetizer which arrived just a few minutes after. The food was well seasoned and the portions were great. Once we were done with our food the server immediately brought us our check without asking if we wanted a dessert or anything. Which prompted us to just pay and leave even though we wanted to gets dessert. (Maybe they should slow down a bit and not rush people out the door) But overall it was great.

Canyon Creek Burger, absolutely delicious, your taste buds are waiting for this type of experience

Third Visit in Seven Days--And Unfortunately, Our Last for a While!!!! This was our third visit in a week--and sadly, it'll be our last for quite a while. Why? Your manager. From the moment we were seated, the behavior was completely inappropriate. The manager was blatantly flirting with the booth in front of us to the point where it was uncomfortable and embarrassing. That was just the beginning--then came the loud, crude banter and foul language. To top it off, they involved a waitress in the behavior as if she were part of some kind of baiting act. It made us cringe. Look, be an adult and have adult conversations--but you are the manager. We had small children with us. We do not curse in front of them, and we certainly don't expect that kind of behavior to be thrown in our faces while trying to enjoy what's supposed to be a family-friendly restaurant. Even our server looked visibly embarrassed. Was our food good? Yes. Was our server wonderful? Absolutely. But was the experience worthy of a one-star review? 100%. If we wanted a trashy, over-the-top flirtatious environment, we'd have left the kids at home and gone to a seedy bar. Do better.

Ted's Montana Grill doesn't always get the recognition it deserves here in Florida -- especially compared to the buzz it gets back in Montana -- but it absolutely should. We stopped in for lunch today and had a fantastic experience from start to finish. We each went for burgers, and they did not disappoint. They were massive, juicy, and flavorful. I had the Swiss and mushroom Burger, my daughter got the Avalon, and my husband had the Smash -- all were delicious in their own way. And the sides? Let's just say the onion rings were hugemungous (and amazing)! The waitress was friendly and attentive, and the overall atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming. It's the kind of place you want to see busier because they really deserve the business. Don't sleep on Ted's -- if you haven't been yet, go treat yourself!

Mojito---- don't order this. It's terrible

Stopped in for dinner. The salmon was very good the broccoli was undercooked but still tasted good. The cucumbers on the table were salty and not good. The New York strip was very good too. The server was good. It was mildly frustrating when I ordered a $13 dollar mojito and it was disgusting and when I asked the waitress she said it's sent back all the time. Maybe you should tell the customer why it gets sent back before they put that order in. The waitress offered to get me a new drink and then I got charged for both anyway. It was nice inside but the bathroom was dirty. That's always a big letdown.

    Trying for the first time!

Ted's Montana Grill is a that specializes in creating excellent meals centered mostly around buffalo/bison meat. When you visit, you can tell that this classic sizable restaurant has been around for a while. The booths, tables, chairs and appearance is just about all made of wood - it can be rough if you have to sit for a long time. You also have an intimidating and stern stare from a mounted buffalo head up on the wall! But if you like your meal, and high chances you will, you won't even think about these things. It's been a while since enjoyed a bison meal. We had a stellar server in Hailey. Her patience and superb level of enthusiasm made the visit here delightful for a special occasion. I thought about getting a bison burger but Hailey helped me choose the bison meatloaf because it was a shop best-seller. The meatloaf was spectacular, modest red sauce on top and came with garlic mashed potatoes and broccoli (I requested the broccoli because the carrot dish listed on the menu was buttered - the broccoli came with Parmesan cheese). Others in our group enjoyed various bison burgers. Some were basic of the lettuce, onion, tomato, cheese type. Others had burgers that were more elaborate. I look forward in the future to trying the one with mushrooms and a white cheese on it. Just can't remember what it's called. Overall, I found the atmosphere, which was enhanced by Ted's enthusiastic crew, very special this day. I look forward to returning in the future. The only thing I would say that even though Ted's likes to keep a Western-type look, it should upgrade the restroom. It's small and it's also not good when only one toilet is operational because the urinal is down. I could take a star off, but won't because everything else was amazing! Recommend: HIGH

    Beef burger and kale salad

One of the spots I like to visit when I'm in Jacksonville- have been coming here since college. Menu has a lot of variety but their burgers are amazing. What really surprised me was the kale salad... hands down one of the best I've had. Fresh, well-balanced, and absolutely delicious. The service was just as impressive, friendly, attentive, and welcoming from start to finish. Definitely a spot I'll be coming back to for years to come.

I decided to go here again for lunch, because this restaurant is awesome. The food here is always excellent, and so is the service. I decided to order one of their bison cheeseburgers. The cheeseburger was fresh and flavorful. I decided to have Swiss cheese on it. It also comes with baby arugula greens. Those were fresh and flavorful. This was my first time having bison meat and right away I could tell the difference between this and regular ground beef burger. The dish came with fries. Those too were very good. I'll definitely return here soon. FYI: I did use that infamous revolving door.

Upon arrival we were seated almost immediately. The bison need short ribs meal was so delicious and hearty. The meat was tender and falling off the bone . It was busy because of Mother's Day but we didn't have a long wait and it was not overly crowded.

Walked in, seated for work lunch immediately. Had a good server. They have crushed ice for water. My favorite. Ordered the Canyon Burger with the grilled green beans! Perfectly done. Great experience. Will be back.

Last minute week night dinner with a group of 4. Seated right away, booth near the bar. Orders taken promptly and service was good. Orders included; To drink: Blackberry bourbon drink and sodas To eat: Mini Bison Sliders with chips- super good and filling Fish sandwich- flaky and delicious, definitely recommend. Served with a kale salad. Chicken sandwich- ok, nothing special but a basic sandwich. Crabcakes with parm broccoli- good amount of Crabcake but both the crab and the broccoli were a bit under room temp. To be fair, I was hungry and didn't say anything. Lots of food so took half home. Overall a good experience, somewhat pricey for a group of 4 with tip and no apps landing at $150 with tip. We did tip over 20#.

We've been here once before. We really liked it but it's been a while since then. We started with the Pao de Queijo, which is the cheesy bread you usually get at a Brazilian steakhouse. We both love this kind of bread and theirs was fantastic. I ordered the Pinanha Rustica and I am so happy that's what I settled on. I ordered the beef medium rare and it was cooked perfectly. The Chimichurri sauce was good but honestly, the beef didn't need the help. The thing that surprised me the most was how much I loved the Biro-Biro Rice as a side. It was a really unique combo of things I've never had together before. I would probably go back and order an entree of just that if they offer it! My wife ordered the Costela Ao Molha Madeira Com Risotto de Parmesao. She really liked how the risotto was super cheesy. She said it actually reminded her of the cheesy bread. The beef short rib was very tender and juicy. She said it was a simple dish that added up to something special. We rarely order dessert but decided to split the Petit Gateau de Doce de Leite. It was so rich, dense and delicious. The pecan ice cream with it was great as well. It was small but enough for us to split. I'm bummed I forgot to get our servers name because he was fantastic. We really need to not go so long between visits because this visit was just as good as the last one. This review originally appeared in the Jacksonville Fun, Eats & Drinks Facebook group.

Calamari was prepared well and not too chewy. We shockingly each chose a salad: the bistro steak, the chop chop Asian, the goat cheese, and the salmon. Each one was incredible. They were crispy on the outside, warm on the inside, and filled with flavorful meat. The sauces paired perfectly with them and made an already great appetizer even better. For my entrée, I ordered the Bandeja Paisa, and it did not disappoint. The meats were the star of the plate. Everything was juicy, cooked perfectly, and seasoned just enough without being overpowering. The steak was surprisingly tender despite being well done, with just the right amount of fat. The sausage had a great snap, the egg was perfectly jammy, and the chicharrón was absolutely incredible--crispy, crunchy, and easily one of the best I've had. I didn't try the sweet plantains since I'm not a fan and they couldn't be substituted. The arepa was good, although nothing particularly memorable. The only parts of the meal I wasn't impressed with were the rice, which was a bit too salty for my taste, and the beans, which lacked flavor and were underwhelming. For dessert, I tried both the tiramisu and the chocolate cake. The tiramisu was just okay--it wasn't bad, but it didn't stand out, and I wouldn't order it again. The chocolate cake, however, was outstanding. It was incredibly moist, rich without being overly sweet, and the perfect way to end the meal. Overall, Salento does an amazing job with their meats, and that's what I'd recommend most. While a couple of the sides and one dessert didn't quite hit the mark for me, the empanadas, Bandeja Paisa, chicharrón, and chocolate cake were all excellent. I'll definitely be back to try more of the menu. The environment is pretty nice and quiet.

I got here as they opened on Sunday, and it got packed relatively quickly. I'd recommend having a reservation if you're planning to visit during busier timeframes like this. I was seated promptly by attentive staff, and quickly had both food and drink menus to begin ordering. I was looking for something tasty without being too heavy, and settled on the Little Hans Vienna Lager along with the 8 oz steak burger and fries. The beer had amazing flavor similar to Devil's Backbone Vienna Lager with a good, crisp finish. The burger meal, described with "Tillamook cheddar cheese, caramelized onion & bacon jam, beef fat aioli, grilled potato roll, truffle fries", was arguablely the best burger and fries I've ever had in my life. Everything tasted fresh, and the flavor of the wood-fired grill certainly complemented the meat. The house-made pickles were a great touch to add another layer of complexity to the burger. I could tell the fries were fresh cut and never frozen. The truffle oil made these even more amazing. The manager offered and brought a special sauce to try that they normally serve with their chicken chicken sandwich that was superbly tasty and tangy. More than impressed with my entree, I elected to try a desert and was recommended the S'mores pie by my waitress. The deliciously buttery crust was my favorite part of the ensemble and blended well with the savory chocolate filling topped with a toasted marshmallow. While a bit pricey for lunch compared to most places, I was more than satisfied with the offerings provided here and would love to visit Ember and Iron again. My part of five got the crushed pineapple martini, plain espresso martini, smoked old fashioned, vodka martini and cosmo. All the drinks were great- there are several cocktail options and many are sweet, but they do have good variety, including 3 types of espresso martinis. Beautiful glassware, which I love. For apps we got focaccia (nothing special really), oysters Rockefeller (so amazing!) For sides we had a loaded baked potato (SO huge), lobster Mac, Brussels, and asparagus. Everyone seemed to enjoy, I didn't eat too much since my meal came with risotto. I ordered the special for the night- filet, crispy shrimp, and southern sweet corn risotto. The whole table loved the shrimp and risotto! I really enjoyed it- never had risotto like this, but am not sure it paired well with the filet, but I still ate it all together :) 4 of us ordered steaks and they were all cooked exceptionally well. We eat at steak houses often so we were very impressed! My boyfriend got the lamb and added a lobster tail, both had amazing presentations and he was happy too. I've seen some reviews saying this place is pricey, however the portions reflect this. The level of service, presentation, and how good the food is make it entirely worth it. We were seated near an anniversary and a birthday party, so it was nice to see everyone having a great time. Trent was very attentive and gave us so much info about the menu, answered questions, and laughed at dad jokes. Melanie, the manager checked on us to ensure we were having a great time! The hosts and back servers were also great, utensils always there and water always full. They boxed our food at the table for us and the leftovers have been reheating well for a couple of days :P Thank you Melanie and Trent for a great night!

We also had lobster which was tender and cooked to perfection with a side order of Brussels and truffle fries. The dessert and cocktails were the perfect ending to the night. Our server was attentive, funny, made good recommendation based on price point, and the ambiance was clean and perfect for a special occasion. My only criticism is that they be stricter on the dress code policy.

My server was attentive, knowledgeable, and seemed to have the perfect balance of checking in when needed while still giving me plenty of space to relax and enjoy my meal. The Eggs à la Orsay were a creative and elevated take on Eggs Benedict, featuring black truffles that added a rich, luxurious flavor without overpowering the dish. Paired with a mimosa, it made for a fantastic brunch experience. The real showstopper was dessert. The Black Forest Silk Pie, topped with toasted meringue, raspberry, and Bing cherries, was absolutely delicious--decadent yet beautifully balanced. My server also recommended a glass of cava to accompany it, and the bubbles were the perfect complement. Great food, outstanding service, and thoughtful recommendations made this a memorable brunch. I'll definitely be back.

A beautifully seared piece of chicken with crispy, golden skin, plated over what looked like creamy mashed potatoes, surrounded by a rich, glossy sauce. The mushrooms and caramelized onions added depth and made the whole dish feel thoughtfully composed, not just thrown together. Flavor-wise, it delivered. The chicken was juicy with that perfect crisp on the outside, and the sauce tied everything together in a way that felt indulgent but balanced. Every component had a purpose, and you could taste the level of technique behind it. I love coming here to celebrate birthdays as it's such a great spot for special occasions. The ambiance, service, and quality of food make it feel like a true experience every time. Orsay really nails that refined, French-inspired dining vibe: elegant, rich, and consistently memorable.
