I had little to no expectations for a ramen restaurant that only served vegan broth, but we left with full and satisfied bellies! The pearl (salt) had a clear, light broth with perfectly firm thin noodles and deliciously charred chasu. The spicy quartz had a somewhat sweet yet spicy creamy broth that my boyfriend enjoyed. I would definitely come back and try the Amber (soy). The restaurant was like a little taste of Japan right in Folsom! Great quick spot for lunch or dinner.

We dined here as a family of 4 (2 toddlers) a few times. The broths were perfectly seasoned. Portions were decent. We ordered the Asian spicy ramen combo, ruby shrimp miso combo, and a kids ramen. Food arrived timely. Restaurant was very clean. Staff were attentive and very kind. We also ordered sake and loved the presentation. My only complaints were that there was no protein in the kids ramen unless you added with an additional charge. When we asked for extra small bowls for the toddlers, we were given really beautiful porcelain rice bowls which were very breakable. Luckily, we always carry kid dishes/utensils in our car just in case. Other than that, my family have had enjoyable meals and would love to return.

I love this place, already visited four times this year because the food is that good! However, the value for money could be improved, $18 for a bowl of ramen with only four thin slices of chicken feels pretty skimpy. Love the taste, just wish the portions were a bit more generous.

Ramen is popular and comforting during rainy and cold season. I personally feel it offers warmth flavor and comfort chill in rainy/windy day like today. I was happy to devour my ramen broth. It's a coincidence, the rain/windy conceded right around my cravings. I ordered spicy chicken ramen and they had chicken broth. Win! Win! I was happy with the given option. Kids ramen were $6 but with side of Chicken + fries it was $9. Great value. Service - it was okay. Parking- another great win, no parking fee. Free parking lot with lots of space.

My bowl of Amber ramen were missing seaweed and bamboo!!! All of our soup were room temp. Noodles were super hard. Sushi were bad so do not order. Chicken karaage was tough to chew into. Even the recipe was confusing to look at.

It's always tough to find a place open on Christmas Day, but luckily Rakkan ramen was open. It's an interesting concept with the plant based broth. We got the Pearl and spicy garnet ramen. The broths were light and flavorful, without the deep rich flavors you typically get with a meat-based broth. My pearl ramen was missing onions while my boyfriend's ramen was missing the seasoned veggies. There were only two guys working there who seemed a bit overwhelmed running the busy restaurant so we let it go. The kaarage was very good though, and the sriracha sauce had a good kick to it. We'd probably go back for the kaarage, less so for the ramen. Rakkan seems like a good option for the vegetarian/vegan crowd though.

Service was slow and protein was scarce in these ramen bowls for lunch on a cold day. I was looking forward to the broth as I had heard it was very good and vegan, but it missed the mark for me. I tried adding chilli paste condiment that was on the table and it helped, but only a little bit. The broth is lacking the depth you would expect. Mine was miso and a little creamy which I like. The noodles are okay, nothing special. The protein was scarce as well as the accompanying vegetables - a few bamboo shoots and green onions. I had one or two butterflied and grilled shrimp and a few thin slices of chicken katsu(?). You have to add other toppings for an up charge. It comes with half a hard boiled egg. The prices are a bit high for noodles and bland broth with scarce protein, around $19 per bowl. The environment is clean and modern. While warm ramen hit the spot and was filling on a cold day, I likely won't return again. There are better places for broth and noodles around town.

I ordered the Quartz Creamy Sauce ramen. The broth was a little satly but decent. Noodles, pork, and egg were good. I felt like overall it was just an okay ramen nothing crazy. I don't know how to explain it. It wasn't bad but wasn't something I'd crave to come back for. I also ordered a Spicy Tuna Bowl. I sadly didn't like the flavor. It was just like a spicy mush. Weird consistency and couldn't tell it was tuna. Service was excellent and didn't have to wait too long for the food.

In a nutshell; good place to chill, have a mini anime-esque experience as the establishment draws inspiration from anime befitting of its name. Also the iconic initial d car is parked out front. Pretty decent boba, the place has a number of seats and tables to hang out or chill at. There are tables that have manga panels in them which was neat. Parking isn't an issue at all. The wait didn't take long at all and ordering was pretty simple with the kiosks by the counter. Overall boba's neat. Hope they provide good snacks in the future.

Rakkan Ramen is great! As a vegetarian, I was getting a little tired of going to ramen places in Sacramento serving broth with little to no flavor. Rakkan Ramen has a vegetarian/vegan alternative for many of their menu items, and it is such a refreshing experience! I ordered the vegan spicy garnet and substituted the mushroom for corn. The miso broth was flavorful and the noodles were perfectly cooked. I also appreciated the variety of toppings they offfered for each bowl. We also ordered the spicy cucumber appetizer to share. It was refreshing and slightly spicy. Because we came to the restaurant before the dinner rush, we were quickly served. The restaurant itself is very nicely decorated and clean with plenty of seating. Overall, we had a great experience here and will definitely be back!

Love this spot for plant-based ramen in Folsom! As a vegetarian, so refreshing to have quality plant-based ramen broth. Not overly salty and very flavorful. I had the vegan spicy garnet & our waiter was happy to make substitutions as needed. We also had the spicy cucumber salad which offered a nice crunch & touch of spice to the meal. Quantity is fair for the price & ingredients are quality. Service was quick. We arrived a little earlier than dinner time so the restaurant was empty, but began to pick up as we were leaving. Ambience is nice - restaurant is clean & well decorated. Great spot for dinner with friends! We will be back!

We ordered 1. Hot brussel sprouts salad 2. Pearl (Salt sauce + Umami sauce) Ramen 3. Quartz (Creamy sauce) Ramen for dinner. We love how the brussel sprouts are prepared. The grilled pork is very tasty.

Ordered 2 ramens and a beer, but the beer was never brought out; notified the waiter/manager about it and he took it off the check which was great. He also offered us and other tables a small sampler plate of the chicken katsu which was delicious. The thing that ticked me was when our ramens came out, we tried the broth and it was nice, but my bf shortly noticed we didn't have any eggs. Took quite a while for staff to notice us for us to call them over. Once we told the waiter (not the guy that brought tables the katsus) he asked us which ramens we ordered to see if they come with eggs, *All of them come with eggs except for kids ramen* and then he asked if we were sure it wasn't there and if it wasn't just buried under our ramen. We were looking at him with our ramen bowls still full to the top shuffling around our noodles to prove to him there's no eggs. Like i get mistakes happen, I wasn't upset about the beer, the no water refills, or the egg missing; it was just the way that waiter questioned us about it that made the meal sour. The food was good, but that interaction with that staff made us realize we could just go to one of the other fukumi restaurants bc the only difference to us was the service. *I even took a photo of the ramen before we realized the eggs were missing

Even though the restaurant is very busy, the service was attentive and friendly throughout our meal. The dessert after the hotpot was also a nice surprise and very enjoyable. The price per person is a bit higher than other all you can eat hotpot places, but the quality of the ingredients more than justifies it. I have honestly never had hotpot with such high quality black tiger shrimp, and the beef was the best I have ever had at a hotpot restaurant. The owner clearly focuses on ingredient quality rather than fancy decor or presentation, otherwise the price would easily be much higher. In Las Vegas, hotpot of this same quality usually costs significantly more, so this place is absolutely worth trying. A great option for family gatherings, with excellent freshness and ingredient quality you can really trust.
