We ordered a cheese quesadilla with sour cream, salsa, and chips, a teriyaki chicken bowl, and a strawberry cup with whipped cream. We shared a little. Though the servers were friendly, it was so bit disorganized. Chicken bowl was filled with rice and chicken, and I was told it may be up to 5 minutes for the broccoli. It was 20 minutes later, and still nothing. I asked if they could put something else because now the other food has just been sitting, and we'd like to eat. They added a bit more chicken, then after more time, the broccoli. Seemed like an unnecessary ordeal, with a bit of disorganization. About 5 others were in the same boat as I was. Again servers were kind, but the kitchen behind them, seemed to be the hold-up. The strawberry and whipped cream cup was fantastic and fresh, and reasonably priced. Teriyaki bowl was ample and reasonably priced. The cheese quesadilla was a bit high- 15.99 with like 6 chips. Overall plusses- indoor seating available with chairs with backs, variety of food choices, and kind servers. Would I return, I suppose, but be prepared possibly for hiccups in the prep process, and prepare to spend a bit more time waiting than expected. But for Magic Mountain, this did feel more meal-like than most of the food stands. read more

The food gets 1/5 the chips were overstated and the carne asada was under seasoned but very oily. I remember these being better many years ago. Despite the stunningly creative name, Food Etc. is one of the best theme park restaurants. They give you substantial portions of their quality, albeit basic, options. Their fish and chips are hefty, hot, flavourful, and hit the spot after a day of coastering. My family has a season pass to MM and we often get food from Food Etc. You can not mobile order from here so we try to plan the time we get food to be when they are less busy. The layout of getting food and paying is not quick. This past weekend though they had the most staff that I have seen from previous visits trying to move the line quicker. I don't expect amazing food at a theme park but our food was good. We have a season food pass, so we are not paying $20 a meal. I was able to build my salad and my husband said that is orange chicken had a crunch and was not soggy(we appreciated that). Before last night it's been a good number of years since I had eaten here and from what I remembered the food was pretty bad then but that was then and this is now as I feel Six Flags is greatly improving their food quality as well as selections to be able to capture more people to buy it at their outrageous prices. Speaking of prices they are all really high as you would expect to find at any park you might visit but the secret to not having to deal with this is to get the season dinning pass if your a season pass holder as you pay a flat rate and get to eat all season long as well as get a free refill bottle to keep you hydrated. The season dinning pass is really a great thing for those who visit the park often as it will save you a ton of money and keep you fed with some food that is actually pretty good! They have a few different options to choose from here ranging from Mexican food to fried fish to sushi! For one I've never seen a sushi bar at any theme park I've been to before so I thought that was kinda cool for those who are into that type of thing. The Mexican food here is actually really yummy as the quesadilla I had was packed with steak that was delicious tasting and just all around yummy as I asked the people who made my quesadilla in front of me to add some of the corn to it which made it just super yummy and all around good! Their nachos were pretty good to for what you can expect from canned cheese and chili the beans salsa and chips are really what made it good as it just pulled the whole thing together in a nacho type of way! Now what everyone really loves is a Dole Whip and yeah it was that good as it should be because they had the regular Dole Whip as well as a Mango Dole Whip too which I had them mix both of them together and throw in a few chunks of pineapple and some blueberries which just totally hit the spot on this super hot day! The best part of it was that I didn't have to pay for it as a Dole Whip counts as a snack on your season dinning pass! After riding Goliath - and after a two-hour wait in line to do so - both my girlfriend and I were famished and needed to cool off. When we saw that Food Etc. was nearby and had air-conditioning, we decided to go there for lunch. Well... I have never seen so much ineffieciency in a food court line at an amusement park before in my life. Apparently, the section of the food court we were in is one of the most popular; given how they were serving loaded nachos and various tacos, who can blame them? But, one would think that with the number of people in line, more resources would be placed in that section. Instead, we heard complaints from people behind us saying, "It shouldn't take this long to get nachos and tacos!" Let me put it this way, it took 15 minutes just to get our orders filled. The food: I had ordered the loaded carne asada nachos (tri-colored tortilla chips, beans, jalapenos, sour cream, salsa, and nacho cheese), and Kathy ordered their 2 chicken taco combo (which included chips and beans). It was filling, but honestly, I've had better - especially as I didn't get too much carne asada in my order. The steam tray was close to empty when I finally approached, but rather than the counter staff offering me to wait for a fresh batch, they dumped what was pitifully left into my order. (And regarding the counter staff... most of them can sure use some customer service training. Maybe Six Flags should put some of their revenue into that instead of building new rides.) At least the staff at the sushi kiosk were a lot more helpful when we went there for our drink refills, and after seeing the portion size in relation to the price, maybe we should've gone there instead (10 pcs for $10.95... the same price we paid for our orders). This food place has okay food if you're really hungry. What I dislike is how there are little to no workers which makes the wait longer. There is no air conditioning and everyone is exhausted from dehydration. I also dislike how some workers are handling food with no gloves and there are lots of flies around the food and landing around the containers the food is in. Lines are long but compared to the other food stops around the park it is worth the wait. The chicken quesadilla is made fresh right in front of you, staff is friendly, and food is really good.
