    Fish and chips and beer

Despite the stunningly creative name, Food Etc. is one of the best theme park restaurants. They give you substantial portions of their quality, albeit basic, options. Their fish and chips are hefty, hot, flavourful, and hit the spot after a day of coastering. We especially appreciate the "Etc" portion of the menu - BEER - which is needed after spending the day with the Six Flags crowds.

My family has a season pass to MM and we often get food from Food Etc. You can not mobile order from here so we try to plan the time we get food to be when they are less busy. The layout of getting food and paying is not quick. This past weekend though they had the most staff that I have seen from previous visits trying to move the line quicker. I don't expect amazing food at a theme park but our food was good. We have a season food pass, so we are not paying $20 a meal. I was able to build my salad and my husband said that is orange chicken had a crunch and was not soggy(we appreciated that). Food etc is also the only place that I know of that serves Dole Whip in the park.

This is the recipe of the worst day in six flags thanks to the cashier.

Worst place ever please don't ever go there I should of read the reviews before going to eat there, if I could give cero star I would, but I guess that's impossible. Well my family and I were in six flags, for my nieces birthday, cashier ruined our day, all I ask was to give us two drinks one regular and one large. She said I gave her and attitude scream at me in front of my family and all the people waiting in line, that was the most embarrassing moment for me I've visit six flags for more than 3 years now and nothing like this has ever happened before, she called me a b***. I would like a refund for all the money I spend here and a apology. I don't think any costumer should be treated this way, I'm glad Yelp exists so everyone can write the awful experience they have when dining in a restaurant, and also you can check the cameras how everything happened.

Hardly staffed, most of the sections are not open, the soft serve was always never working. Like at McDonald's, they probably just never cleaned it but say it is broken as a solid excuse Though I saw a newbie try and it worked, just not filled. We spent three days here and it seems the norm that most of the place is half functioning. Disappointing. Also, the jet engine loud Escape from Krypton above this place gains major acoustics, making everyone wince like crazy. Four minutes of talking, then huge, interjecting sonic boom and everyone then acts like it didn't happen. Kinda funny. Feel bad for the employees working this station. Not just the deafening screech every 5 minutes, but the miffed people they have to deal with by the park making it half functioning during the off season. Only plus is it's a refill station for your specialty cup.

A new season at Six Flags: Magic Mountain has begun! Review bash for 2019 season pass cycle starts... NOW. //PARK RESTAURANTS SERIES// FOOD ETC. - Dining Pass Accepted - Season Drink Bottles Accepted - Located: Near Goliath - Offers: Fresh sushi, gyros, nachos, tacos, fresh salads, Dole Soft Serve, vegetarian... DINING PASS RECOMMENDED Consider getting a dining pass! To illustrate the benefits of this incredible deal, let's look at the basic dining pass: a plan that only allows you to eat lunch during 11:30am - 3:30pm, and a snack during 11:30am - 7:30pm. But even then, it's already a very beneficial option! Say, an entree runs for about $10-12, and a snack for about $4-5. A total of 3 park trips would already redeem your money's worth, not to mention the park enforces a crystal clear policy of "no outside food" within park area. It's a no brainer. THE LOWDOWN This is a possibly the most popular and therefore busiest meal spots of all of the park's eateries due to its large dining area, with relative ease of finding seats especially on a crowded day or during lunch time rush hours. I often find myself gravitating towards this obvious, easy choice. Food Etc. is composed of several smaller subsection, each serving different ethnic cuisines, a mini international food fair of sort. Perfect for large families with various dining preference, or just ambivalent, poor souls who just can't decide what to eat always. Indoor air-conditioning is a godsend on hot days, suitable for a quick rest stop should the need arise. Family rides nearby make for convenient, mild transition from having a postprandial full stomach and being not suitable for extreme thrill rides just yet, to slowly digesting your way back to hardcore coaster acrobatics. SPECIFIC MEAL ITEM EATEN - Grilled Chicken Pita & Fries: A thick, warm pita bread topped with marinated chicken, fresh tomatoes, chopped red onions, and a dollop of tzatziki sauce. Chicken tasted savory, but artificial and processed. The texture was softer than expected, possibly due to its being processed, or having been soaked in liquid for a long time. Includes a generous portion of dible fries. SPECIFIC SNACK ITEM EATEN - Dippin' Dots (Banana Split): A popular choice that may run out quickly. A classic blend of chocolate, strawberry, and banana. Exactly what you'd expect, with reasonably authentic taste. One of my go-tos. Last visited/updated: "May" 2019

Food Etc. is exactly what you will find here as there's a decent selection of multiple stands all selling something different for you to indulge on wile in the park! Before last night it's been a good number of years since I had eaten here and from what I remembered the food was pretty bad then but that was then and this is now as I feel Six Flags is greatly improving their food quality as well as selections to be able to capture more people to buy it at their outrageous prices. Speaking of prices they are all really high as you would expect to find at any park you might visit but the secret to not having to deal with this is to get the season dinning pass if your a season pass holder as you pay a flat rate and get to eat all season long as well as get a free refill bottle to keep you hydrated. The season dinning pass is really a great thing for those who visit the park often as it will save you a ton of money and keep you fed with some food that is actually pretty good! They have a few different options to choose from here ranging from Mexican food to fried fish to sushi! For one I've never seen a sushi bar at any theme park I've been to before so I thought that was kinda cool for those who are into that type of thing. The Mexican food here is actually really yummy as the quesadilla I had was packed with steak that was delicious tasting and just all around yummy as I asked the people who made my quesadilla in front of me to add some of the corn to it which made it just super yummy and all around good! Their nachos were pretty good to for what you can expect from canned cheese and chili the beans salsa and chips are really what made it good as it just pulled the whole thing together in a nacho type of way! Now what everyone really loves is a Dole Whip and yeah it was that good as it should be because they had the regular Dole Whip as well as a Mango Dole Whip too which I had them mix both of them together and throw in a few chunks of pineapple and some blueberries which just totally hit the spot on this super hot day! The best part of it was that I didn't have to pay for it as a Dole Whip counts as a snack on your season dinning pass! Overall this is a great little spot to grab lunch or dinner wile in the park and because of this I'm sure it won't be long before we come back here to grab some of what's good or to just get a whip as those are reason enough to venture inside Etc.

Small variety of food choices in here but good place to sit down to eat + get away from the heat. What I ordered: * Jalapeno fish and chips+ extra fish (food for 2) * Mango float: mango soft serve with pineapple juice Overall thoughts: * Can get crowded fast with limited chairs * Few food options * Food is average for theme park * Slow lines * Pricey but not terrible if you share food

my friend taking a selfie in front of trash mountain at food etc

Waited nearly 45 minutes in line to purchase low-quality, overpriced food. I saw maybe at max 4 employees working with a line almost out the door. And to top it all off the seating area was COVERED in trash with no room in the bins to even throw your food away. Tables were filthy, food all over the floor. Do not recommend.

Once seated, it was another 15 minutes to get our orders in. Once the food arrived, it was served hot as expected. My friend's chicken chipotle was delicious but my birria wasn't great. There wasn't much of it, and what was there was largely tasteless. I was given two tortillas which wasn't enough. Their salsa was outstanding though! I wanted more of that and practically drank it. Unfortunately, given my experiences, I won't go back. Management needs to hire some employees so the wait won't be so long.

We all ended up ordering chilaquiles--one plate with green sauce and the other two with red sauce--and got our eggs over easy. Let me just say: these were hands down some of the best chilaquiles we've had in the area. The flavor, texture, and portion sizes were all top notch. I also loved that they have an open salsa bar along with complimentary chips for every order. Little touches like that really make the experience even better. (It did look like they had heaters outside though - not too sure if they were turned on). We were seated around 7:40 and we had two waiters. We asked what the margarita flavors of the day were, and they had hibiscus, jicama cucumber, and a jalapeño pineapple. I opted for the jalapeño pineapple, while my partner got the Sabor. For appetizers we ordered the trio dip and taquitos. For entrees, we ordered the al pastor street tacos, and Enchiladas Sabor. For dessert we ordered the nutella filled churros. I believe our bill was around $135. Pros: everything came out so quickly! Drinks were LARGE. Timing of the food: Drinks were out in five minutes, appetizers in ten mins of ordering, and entrees in fifteen minutes of ordering. The service was also great. Our waiter came in and checked on us, but wasn't overbearing. The quality of the food was also great. I kept saying everything felt very elevated and a great place to go for a nice dinner. I did not do any research before coming here. This was a place that my partner chose, so the two comments that I made (which I later found out was also commonly noted on Yelp) was that the Chips & Salsa were not free, and that my enchiladas did not come with rice and beans. Typically, when I go out for Mexican food, there are certain things I look forward to, so I was a little thrown off that they weren't provided here. The trio dip was a great option because it did have a bean dip as well as salsa, but it was just a bummer that it was an extra charge.
