We came here to try their cocktails and enjoy the ocean view. Both did not disappoint. I hsbentbtried their food yet but it did look tasty from what I could see We ordered the Coupe de Joe and the spicy carrot Margherita. Drinks are made fresh to order and are not pre batched, which says a lot about the bartenders and the quality of drinks. Each time cocktails went out, I saw the bartender taste each one, which goes to show the attention to detail. Highly recommend, whether you're visiting the area or a local.

Service was absolutely friendly! Kyle was a great server. We were there in the off-season- mid April - so sitting was fairly quick. We had to Thai muscles. Absolutely off the hook! I had the chicken sandwich, but it was probably left in the deep fryer a little too long. Added honey mustard to it, which brought it back to center. Definitely would go here again. Casual but friendly atmosphere. I have to say their cocktail menu is truly amazing. Would have loved to have tried all of them, but... Definitely will return.

I really like this place. I've been a couple of times with a friend who has a house in York. We have sat at the bar each time. The cocktails are top notch! I really like their version of an espresso martini that has rumchata in it. Yum! I've also had a Manhattan, a martini, etc. Always good! For food, the rolls are nice and light. The clam chowder was good, and I love that they had a fish n chips special on Sundays ($16 instead of $26). This restaurant has a great view of the ocean as well. I'll definitely continue to come back when I'm in the area.

I checked in 2:30 PM and they were open. I called. I had to check because it is off-season. Beautiful location overseeing the surf and the Atlantic Ocean Beach. Nice and cozy atmosphere inside nice selection on menu. Food was delicious. I tried the lobster tail and it was really good along with their bread.

Burger, fries and smash sauce. Pickled green beans too!

At the time of this posting, their website was still under construction and they will be offering DoorDash delivery. There are picnic tables in front of the trailer. After an appointment nearby, I stopped by the Trapped in York Maine food trailer. I decided to order a Small Trapped Meal ($24 plus tax) with a Small Lobster Roll, bag of Cape Cod Sea Salt Chips, watermelon cubes, 2 homemade Maine spice cookies, and a fresh lemonade. My order was prepared to order in about 8 minutes. I enjoyed my food outside. The Lobster Roll (3 oz of knuckle & claw meat in mayo) on a toasted New England hot dog roll. The watermelon and chips were good sides for the Maine style lobster roll. The 2 homemade sweet Maine spice cookies were soft and chewy. The iced lemonade was refreshing, as I enjoyed the rest in the ride after finishing my meal.

I was excited to find out that they are in fact open on Sundays- so Yelp is wrong about that. I got the large which is 6 oz on a hot buttered brioche roll, which can be served cold with just mayo, or warm with butter. I opted for the latter. It was DELICIOUS - more tail than claw- which made me extra happy!! The service was outstanding, I believe the owner was there- but the young lady was also quite sweet. They answered all my questions, both on the phone, and in person. I also ordered the haddock and fries for tomorrow- but of course I tried it. So tender and flaky!! Their fries are hand cut, and have both sweet potatoes and regular potatoes. So good! Lunch is going to be great tomorrow! The place is a yellow food truck, so seating is casual at picnic tables. It is quite lovely! I was hungry- so I had already taken a few bits of my lobster roll- sorry about that haha

They serve various size of lobsters as well as cook them for you. However they do not provide place to eat or utensils so they function more as a market than a restaurant. They have sort of a parking lot where you can park. There are few works on the back hanging around and 2 younger staff that take care of orders. Lobster has quite few size options and some explanations for terms they use. We weren't sure what to get but figure we wanted larger size lobsters. SLX which is the largest ones were $14 per pound. They can also let you pick them live as well but we chose 2 lb ones. They charge $1.5 to boil but it's a-lot of work to boil properly so it's worth it. We waited about 20-25minutes or so and they also chilled it so that we can take it home to eat. Luckily we had ice box with some ice packs so it kept the lobster fresh until getting home. Once we got home we opened the bag to eat the lobster. It's a huge lobster with large claws. We got a large bowl and separate plate to eat. It was a massive task to crack the claws as one of the claw was huge and very tough. We ended up using a hammer and dull knife to crack them open. The meat was tender and sweet. One of the best maine lobster we had. Overall the place provides fresh maine lobster for good price. Only issue is that they don't serve it so you will need to plan to take it home and have tools to crack them open. They also only take cash. If i were to come back i would give them a call a head of time to have the lobster prepared to go and pick them up which seems to be what other people were doing.

So I looked them up and saw the adult happy meal on the menu and knew I had to try them. An hour and half drive was 100000% worth it!!! The entire building is small but feels very inviting and comfortable. The atmosphere is iconic with out of this world 90s cartoons painted on the walls. Even the bathroom had a touch of this nostalgia and whimsy (trust me look in the bathroom mirror for an amazing little touch). The staff were equally amazing and truly wonderful. I am currently pregnant and being very careful about what I eat so my husband asked the bartender/waiter if the feta is pasteurized. Most people would have simply said I don't know and moved on but this fellow went and asked the kitchen if the feta is pasteurized (it is). It's little things like that that make us want to go back. Now on to the star the food and drink! We had the soft pretzel which comes with beer cheese and stone ground honey mustard and the fried feta. The pretzel was great and the beer cheese was also great but the feta was indescribable. Every aspect of the feta was perfect and a true umami experience. I got the adult happy meal (a smash burger, chicken nuggets, and fries). It also comes with a toy which is just cherry on top status. The burger was fantastic BUT the fries and nuggets were crazy good. My husband got Flo's Double Burger and he had eaten half of it before I got mine out of the box. He would have eaten two of them if he wasn't so full! He also got the I gotta say... today was a good day sour ale. He loved it and enjoyed it enough we left with a four pack! Footbridge lobster vs Lobster Shack review…read more Location: Footbridge lobster is located right next door to Lobster shack right by the footbridge. Seating: Footbridge js TAKE OUT ONLY with a big window you walk up to order and pickup. There are some benches nearby you might get lucky or you can stand by the bridge and eat. Lobster shack has seating and bathrooms. Price: On a Monday post lunch hour, I ordered the Lobster roll with clam chowder soup. Foot bridge is cheaper if you buy the combo outside of the lunch special hour compared to lobster shack. If you buy during lunch hour, they both are about similar in pricing. FOOD: The biggest difference between the two was TEXTURE. Footbridge offered a bouncy/chewier texture while Lobster Shack offered a softer easier to pull apart lobster. Secondly, the bread is slightly smaller at footbridge but the meat is 5oz almost singular piece versus lobster rolls multiple smaller pieces. Clam chowder was similar in the sense that footbridge had a thicker milkier consistency like most New England clam chowder while Lobster shack had more meat/substance but thinner liquid base with a somewhat coconut type taste. Both lobsters and clam chowder are unique and tasty in their own way and all boils down to preference. Lobster shack also had a pickle on the side but the price is slightly higher which all in all boils down to whether you like to chew or just wolf down that lobster roll.
