They have their own parking lot. It's a small parking lot so get there early. It's convenient and free, which is a commodity to have in Ogunquit. Outside dining only. Posted plenty of pictures to see what I'm referring to. It's really quite nice. The food was great! There are two menus. One for lunch and one for dinner. We were there for lunch and arrived just as they opened at 11. Nice staff. I highly recommend the Shrimp Bang Bang. It was not what I expected. It's more of a meal. Shrimp is on the side of a big salad, which has high quality lettuce, onions, almonds and goat cheese. It was surprisingly perfect. The Black Berry Thai Chili dressing is FANTASTIC! Highly recommend. Exquisite food. Unique and creative. The seats are slightly odd. It doesn't matter your size. The way the bars are on the sides can make you sitting comfortably a little challenging. You just have to move and try to find ways to sit comfortably. While the seats were not the best, the food, location, staff, etc., are worth being not so comfortable. Service was prompt and friendly. $39 for a lobster roll is ridiculous when they are $26 in Bar Harbor. I got the smash burger instead. I had to search for the carmelized onions which were smashed into the bottom bun and were barely there. I don't consider this a smash burger as the patties were still too thick. This is basically a double cheeseburger. My husband got the chicken and waffle cone which is just a dumb concept. All seating is outside and there's plenty of shadeunless you're at the bar. The tables are all high tops which makes it difficult to pull your chair close to the table on a gravel surface. I'm not sure how this place got so many great reviews tbh. We had SUCH high hopes for this place! From the outside, it doesn't look like much, but their outside patio is ADORABLE with lights strung & the most adorable bar. However, once we went to order, we found out they were pretty much out of everything we wanted--cider, lobster ravioli, you name it. Our waiter/bartender was GREAT & recommended the Lobster Mac Soul Rolls--basically mac & cheese with lobster in a fried egg roll. We wanted to like them soooo much but they were just dry & had barely any lobster in them at all. This was our 1st time in Maine and wanted a place to eat that was unique and offered a nice outside dining experience. Allyson was our waitress and she was SO FRIENDLY AND FUN!! She made sure we had everything we needed, from drinks to food. NO COMPLAINTS AT ALL!! The owner greeted us with smile and was conversing with other patrons. I recently moved to New England and was really looking forward to visiting Maine. So on Sunday my partner and I decided to hit up Ogunquit for lunch and a beach day. I went on YELP to find a good place to eat. We stumbled on Food For Thought. We were thrilled to finally get Maine lobster. We were seated at a 4 top in their outdoor patio. After a few minutes our waiter came to take our drink order. We got 2 waters , 2 ice teas and a appetizer while we waited for our third party to arrive. Our waiter seemed a bit agitated but we just ignored it. It was really hot and they appeared to be understaffed. Given the post Covid circumstances we knew it was probably not their fault and maybe there were just stressed. Our table was in the sun so we got excited when the table next to us (fully shaded) became available. It was the same size table just a few feet away so I asked our waiter if we can move to the shaded table. He seemed very confused about my request and told me that someone would clear it off. I said ok! Soon after another employee came up to me and said we could not move to the neighboring table. He said he can seat us at the bar or a smaller table. I was thoroughly confused as to why we could not be seated at an open table which was the same size as the table we were seated at and literally just a few feet from us. So I asked him why we could not take the open table especially since nobody was waiting for a table and he said "well I'm the owner and your third party is not here. We never should have seated you." At that point I knew it was something personal and I just wanted to leave. We were there for 45 minutes. Ordered to small ice teas and fries and tabbed out after somehow ending up with a $60 tab, plus tip. The most expensive ice teas and fries I've ever purchased (ps - refills are $4 each. They won't tell you refills aren't free) Looking back at the entire experience I'm still so confused. We were hoping for a nice lunch by the Maine coast and all we got was mediocre service and food with unusual behavior from staff and management. I was told that Ogunquit was very diverse and LGBTQ friendly but it definitely did not feel welcoming in this establishment. I hope the owner reads this and understands that all we wanted was a good meal in the shade. Food is below par, overpriced definitely. Just a little warning to everyone: When we were first seated, it was all sun shinny. Suddenly, the weather turned grey. 10 mins later, rain started to pour. We were just served our food so we tried to move with our food to an emptied seats by the bar under the shade. Hopefully temporary until the rain was gone...The bartender rudely told us we were not "supposed" to take or block the emptied bar seats and her face read, "I don't care! You people rolled back to the rain.." It should be noted the bar area of this outdoor restaurant is the only area that is shaded. So we held our food standing by the edge of the bar. After another 10-15 minutes, a waiter showed up moving our table under shade...but our food were already turned cold, soaked somehow and we lost our appetites because of the whole experience. Very cool and funky spot! We really enjoyed the Maine lobster Benny, food for thought, and the heirloom tomato salad (although the basil was wilted and not fresh). The potatoes in the food for thought were covered with cheese and extremely greasy and crispy, and while I realize some guests may like that, it should at minimum be outlined in the menu so guests know to not expect normal hash browns or potatoes. Here is my quarrel: They don't carry Ketel One, Don Julio Tequila, Del Maguey Mezcal, Zacapa Rum, Hennessy, Belvedere or Bulleit Whiskey? Along with an array of other quality spirits. What this restaurant fails to realize is that consumers are turned off when they realize an establishment doesn't use any high quality super premium spirits in your drinks, but charges a premium price for cocktails that have Svedka and Tito's in it, which are not premium brands. The adult Capri sun had no more than 1/2oz of liquid in it total, and was filled with large, cheap, bar ice, but we were charged the price of a Ketel cocktail. Good food, very nice, polite, attentive staff, but the beverage program needs a complete re-vamp if it wants to attract quality consumers. They're not cutting it in the slightest. Also, the chairs at the bar were extremely cheap and uncomfortable and difficult to even pull up to the bar and sit in. The only thing that made the experience worse was the owner commenting on my post trying to defend the beverage program by lying about it and misrepresenting his restaurant by saying they do use, "premium spirits," which is erroneous. The best meal we had during our week long coastal Maine vacation. We went on a rainy day but found a dry table under cover (no indoor dining but really no problem). Service was friendly and quick. Fun atmosphere. Drink selections were plentiful but the food. The FOOD. Amazing! This place isn't just about presentation (though always Instagram perfect) but also the taste! Seriously thoughtful food with unbelievable flavor. We enjoyed the hot dog pizza pouches, lobster Mac n cheese rolls, chicken n waffles and of course the glazed doughnut grilled cheese. Two of us stopped in on a Friday night for dinner...we liked it so much we decided to come back for brunch the next day! On Friday, we got there for dinner at 9pm. We were greeted and seated right away. Saturday we were greeted with the same welcoming, though it was much busier. There was a wait when we left our table Saturday. It is outdoor seating with a canopy overhead the bar and some of the tables. On Saturday, with limited clouds and temps in the 70s, sitting outside was beautiful. There were gas heaters near most of the tables, which helped take the chill off after the sun went down Friday evening. They created a pretty cool barrier from the street and incorporated it into seating. The fence that surrounds the seating area has cutouts that drop in, and stop at a 90 degree angle, creating a table and a window all at once. Quite innovative and resourceful. Each menu had a list of the craft cocktails, beers, wines, and then food. Both the brunch and dinner menus had many things we wanted to try on it. There was definitely something for everyone on the menus. They have twists on New England classics, a couple southern style dishes (Nashville Hot Chicken, chicken and waffles), and some Asian influences as well (steamed buns, Vietnamese coffee butter). Dinner: For drinks, I got the limoncello collins, which was refreshing, but could have used a little more limoncello. For food, we split the vegan Big Mac, the chicken and waffles, and an order of the 3 Pigs Poutine. The burger came out looking like a plump Big Mac. The patties were good, but felt there needed to be a little more sauce and a little more pickles or lettuce for the crunch factor. However, definitely onto something delicious. The fries were really go The chicken and waffles were very good. Serving the chicken in a waffle cone made it a lot less messy! The Vietnamese coffee butter added a twist to the dish, bringing hints of bitterness to go with the sweet and savory flavors already there. The poutine was delicious. The meats were delicious, not dry and not fatty, and great flavor. Brunch: We split three dishes: the BLT with egg and avocado, the Nashville hot chicken benny, and the carrot cake French toast. The hot chicken benny was delicious! The chicken was moist and spicy, it wasn't drenched in sauce, and the Portuguese muffin topped it off. The BLT with egg and avocado was light and filling, and the potatoes that accompanied were cooked just right - crisp on the outside and soft in the inside. I'm not a huge fan of French toast, but this carrot cake version was really good. My husband really liked it, especially with the cereal milk glaze. The waitstaff were very nice and attentive, they even remembered us when we came in the next day for brunch! Location is great, 10 minute walk from center of Ogunquit (i.e. the crazy 5 way intersection). The parking lot was no issue on Friday, but when we were there Saturday, parking was a bit of an issue. The parking lot is shared with another business/motel and several of the parking spots were blocked by cones. Overall, great dining experiences , especially considering it only opened a few weeks ago now. Food options are delicious twists on comfort foods. The clam chowder poutine is more like soup and fries but delicious. It was the consistency of-vegetable oil with some chili in it? It was tasteless greasy and not spicy. It was also served with crinkle cut fries. $18. Not sure why an appetizer comes with french fries. They were large and crispy, but would've enjoyed them more if they had some kind of flavor. It was served with our dinner. We ordered it as an appetizer and all three dishes came at the same time. My husband ordered the Cast-iron fried rice . asked the waiter what would be best to put on it, he said the short ribs which added another $14 to a $17 dish. As per his suggestion, that's what he ordered. As it was explained, we thought it was coming in a cast-iron skillet. It did not. It was a dish of white rice with some Vegetables and avocado that was rock hard you could not eat. and the short rib was really dry. There was also some egg and spicy mayo not worth over $30. We could not believe that this serving was $30. I ordered the all-American burger which was cooked perfect. It was tasty but nothing special. the Cajun fries were the same crinkle fries that came with the appetizer with some Cajun seasoning on them. my husband had a water with his dinner and before tip this meal was over $90. I would never spend $100 in a place like this. It was worth a try but I say beware read the menu before you go and know what you're getting. For some reason, there was no beer on tap that night only cans . We like to keep trying new places in Wells, Ogunquit and York and this is one we won't go back to. We loved this hipster American fusion Gastor-pub! The options weren't new, however, the ingredients and way in which they prepare their sumptuous food was definately unique. Every bite enlightened my taste buds and made me close my eyes and savior the moment. I had the Sensational Salad with lobster with huge ravioli croutons. My mother ordered the Brussel Leaf Salad with lobster either salad you can get with chicken or lobster. This salad is set apart from any other salad I ever had and I have had thousands. Ogunquit Fries and New Orleans Street Corn. I highly recommend the fries I'm sure you have never tasted fries like these, delightful! I didn't try the corn, but my husband said they were delicious. I am thrilled to leave a review for a new gem we found here in Ogunquit. We were vacationing for Memorial Day weekend and decided to try out a new restaurant that opened up roughly 3 weeks ago. We heard about this new American fusion gastro restaurant through the Yelp community. This review will include both our dinner and brunch visits. On Friday night 5/24, we came in around 9 PM. The restaurant was lit up with lights, gas lamps, and an overall great ambiance, accompanied by friendly staff. We were welcomed immediately and seated. Linda was our server and she was incredibly hospitable and checked in on us often. We ordered the Chicken and Waffles Cone, the Vegan Big Mac, and the 3 Pigs Poutine. Absolutely incredible tasting items. The Chicken and Waffles were light and flavorful. I was very excited to try the Vietnamese Coffee Butter-delicious and bold taste! The Vegan Big Mac was tasty as well-- the sauce didn't taste exactly like the reference product, but I didn't mind because it was still good. The poutine was excellent, so juicy and a wide variety of meats. For my cocktail, I ordered The Yoda, which contained Silver Tequila, housemade matcha honey syrup, pineapple, and limes for the Yoda ears. Truly creative cocktail which was delicious and strong. Another server helping Linda, sorry did not catch his name, who was also very friendly and nice talked to us for a bit, including our hometowns in Boston/Boston area! We then talked about the restaurant's brunch items and we were intrigued. We decided to do brunch the following morning. Parking was a little challenging because many of the spots were reserved for other vehicles. We did eventually find a spot tucked away in the corner. We got there a little late, but the owner was incredibly generous and welcomed us anyway. He told us that their kitchen staff would be happy to cook us anything we like! I truly appreciate gestures like this! The connection the restaurant has with the patron really elevates the respect I have for the business. Well done here! We were seated and served immediately. I appreciated the 90s throwback soundtrack that was playing that day and the Marvel mural behind the bar. I ordered the Chili Lime Mango Margarita which had Silver Tequila, fresh mango, Triple Sec, and a Chili Salt Rim. This was a very good and strong cocktail that accompanied my brunch nicely. We couldn't decide on what to get because everything sounded delicious, so we ordered 3 entrees! The first was the Nashville Hot Chicken Benny that had sous vide chicken, large bacon pieces, cheese, sausage and a spicy sauce. Nashville is one of our favorite cities and so we really enjoyed this dish. We also ordered the OGBBLTCE which had a good portion of bacon, lettuce, tomato, avocado aioli, and a fried egg. The potatoes that came with the dish were also delicious! Lastly, we ordered the carrot cake french toast with cereal milk frosting. AMAZING! This is a must try item if you enjoy carrot cake. We had a really good brunch experience. Next time we are in town I would like to try the Breakfast Steamed Buns! It is impossible to overstate how awesome this place is. The staff are friendly and welcoming, and for those of you with 90's nostalgia, the music is spot on. It's the perfect place to stop on your way back from the beach for a drink and a bite to eat. Lauren, the bartender, is attentive, funny, and totally down to clown if you're up for it.
