We never made it to the one in Vegas last year, so I thought Id treat him to lunch at this yesterday after a work event he was honored at. After yesterday's experience, I have no problem admitting I was wrong and will wholeheartedly walk that sentiment back. Hell's Kitchen impressed me, which if you've read my reviews isn't always an easy thing to do. The food flavors were all on point, service was exceptional, and the coursing time hit the mark from start to finish. The only reason this is 4 stars and not 5, is hubby's main was not very hot. There were only a handful of tables at the time so that element was a bit disappointing. I opted for Miami Spice, and hubs picked the Express lunch which comes out to a better deal for what he ordered. We never had to look for a server for water, and they were really accommodating in adjusting my order (I have to have sauces on side and low salt right now because of a health issue). On to the main event, the meal! Drinks: Strawberry & Mint Spritz: This N/A bev sounded interesting on paper but neither of us super enjoyed it. It was just a little too syrupy sweet. I love that they're using N/A prosecco and apertivos though and not just putting a bunch of juice and sodas in a cup and calling it a mocktail. If we ever make it back I'd be up for trying a different one on the list or a real deal cocktail. Caesar salad: This was a generous portion with delicate parmesan crisps and large crunchy croutons. The limited amount of dressing I did use was delicious and perfectly balanced. I skipped most of the croutons as they were too salty for me, but probably perfect for the average Joe. Carrot soup: My guy enjoyed this thoroughly, and stopped short of licking the bowl. I tried it, but it wasn't my cup of tea. The presentation was lovely. Crispy Skin Salmon: This was my choice from the Miami Spice menu. It's miso marinated and served with a crispy sushi rice cake, sautéed baby bok choy, and a miso beurre blanc which they put on the side for me. I asked for the fish to be cooked well done, and they nailed that. It was perfection on the tongue and still delicate and moist in spite of being fully cooked. The skin was expertly crisp as well and really tasty. The only negative of this dish was the oil factor. Salmon is oily on its own, but this plate was dripping from the rice cake to the bok choy, and that's omitting the beurre blanc entirely. Speaking of, everything was so flavorful on its own that the dish carried itself without any extra salt or sauce. I did try the beurre blanc with a few bites though and it was nice. Petit Beef Wellington: Aside from not being hot enough, hubby overall enjoyed this. He prefers a lumpy skin on mash, but I thought the mash purée was divine. We just both wish it was hotter when it came out. Cherry Blossom Cheesecake: I haaaate that almond extract taste found in cherry cordials, and this was loaded with it from my one bite. Thankfully I didn't order this. Hubs did, and loved it! Also the plating was beautiful! Sticky Toffee Pudding: Was this the best STP I've ever had? No. Was it enjoyable? Absolutely! In hindsight, I wish hubs had gotten the 2 course express menu and split this dessert with me because it's full size and a massive overload of sugar for one person. I barely ate a quarter and ended up in a sugar coma the rest of the day. Would I still order it again? You bet your sweet ass! To wrap this up, this was a surprisingly enjoyable meal. The check still packed a punch though at $150 for two with one mocktail. Overall I do think it's a great pick for a nicer meal with upscale British and European favorites with a global inspired twist.

I've had this Michelin Bib Gourmand restaurant on my radar for quite sometime, but the dining stars hadn't quite aligned yet. However, last night was the night! This intimate lowkey dining spot was all a buzz on hump day. A reservation was a no-go for any civilized eating hour, but we managed to score a great table outside within 15 minutes of showing up during primetime. They do not have a liquor license but do have a comprehensive wine menu and some low/no-ABV cocktails. Unfortunately, the one I had my heart set on (Pathfinder with a Calamansi foam) was no longer on the menu, and our server said he did not recommend the Aplos Spicy Margarita which was the only other thing I was considering, and hubby is an Old Fashioned drinker, so we stuck with water. We both opted for the Miami Spice menu. They've priced it at $50 for dinner, but portions are notably smaller (halved) for at least the entrees (not sure about the apps and dessert). I started with the Scallop Pomelo Crudo. This light and refreshing dish had my tastebuds dancing with every bite. Hubby went for the Lotus Root Salad which I snagged a few bites of. If we return for a regular menu night, this will be a resounding yes. So bright and flavorful with a nice mix of textures. With the Miami Spice menu Tâm Tâm was also offering a complimentary duo of their signature house wings. I don't eat chicken so instead they brought me the shimeji mushrooms which I destroyed! No man mushroom left behind. I'm generally not a fan of dill but it works in this dish, playing up the seafood notes of the La Vong sauce. As for the wings? Hubby was in heaven. He said they were the best chicken wings he's ever had, and getting him to give more than a "good" or "okay" on a dish is a tall order, so that my friends is a rave review. I tried a little dip of the sauce and it was delicious. For entrees, my man went for the Lamb Wrap Situation, and I opted for the Grilled Sea Bass. The fish was cooked and deboned expertly. The fish sauce and citrus notes of the nuoc cham were at times a little overpowering, but I also was trying to avoid the carb hit of the white rice which would probably mellow it a bit. Other than that, the dish was great. The lamb wrap received a resounding thumbs up from my other half as he devoured the whole plate. For dessert we picked one of each, the cashew passionfruit cheesecake, and the seasonal dessert, a guava ice cream. The cheesecake was much thinner/smaller than I expected, but the flavors are so pronounced that a little goes a long way. It's not intended to be eaten together, but the sweetness of the guava ice cream pairs perfectly with the tartness of the passion fruit. We could have easily polished off a second round of the desserts, but this was a good stopping point. Overall, Tâm Tâm is as much a feast for the eyes as it is for the stomach and tastebuds. The plating is beautiful and thoughtful, and each ingredient is carefully considered to create a symphony of flavors on the tongue. Based on food alone, this is one of the best meals I've had in a long time, hence the 5 stars. But, if I'm being honest, the service? More of a 3 or 4 star. Getting water refills was hit or miss. The time between courses was sometimes awkwardly long. And we were never offered any tea or coffee (perphaps they don't make it?). Instead the server just dropped the check off. They were very busy that night, so it's likely a lack of time thing, but those little details are what really takes a meal to the next level. The Scallop pomelo crudo was so good, they melted like butter in my mouth. Now there was a discrepancy between what Miami Spice website listed as the menu items and what's actually being offered by the restaurant. The Goat curry listed rice noodles on the Miami Spice website but the restaurant was offering egg noodles. I was so happy that they offered to change the egg noodles out for rice. Thank goodness because I really wanted to try the goat curry, it was so delicious, soft and flavorful. The fact that they even asked if I had any allergies, you can tell they really try to give you the best experience. No dessert for me as the options were not gluten free and dairy free. I left feeling satisfied and happy with my choices. Can't wait to return.

One thing that was particularly disappointing was what happened after our visit. I reached out to the restaurant through social media to share our concerns and was told that someone would be contacting me directly. After weeks passed without any response, I followed up multiple times myself, yet I still never heard from anyone. That lack of communication was just as disappointing as some of the issues we experienced during dinner. Our evening began with a poorly situated table. The restaurant's air conditioning was apparently not working, and a portable AC unit had been placed in the corridor, blowing directly onto our table throughout the meal. We politely requested another table, but our request was declined, despite several empty tables remaining available for the entirety of our 90-minute reservation. What made this even more frustrating was seeing another party of two, who were seated after us, moved to a quieter, more secluded table away from the draft. The appetizers were excellent and set a promising tone for the meal. Unfortunately, the timing of the main courses was a significant issue. My husband's fish arrived well before my steak, and despite intentionally waiting, his meal became cold. He ultimately finished his entire entrée before mine was ever served. We even asked our server if there had been any confusion with the courses, but the delay remained unexplained. The pacing of table service could also be improved. My husband and I both work in hospitality, so we may notice these details more than the average guest, but there were multiple occasions where empty plates remained on our table for an extended period. By the time guests feel the need to stack dishes themselves just to create space, it's usually a sign that clearing has been delayed too long. The table itself also felt quite cramped. There was no practical place to store personal belongings, so I ended up holding my purse on my lap for the entire dinner. As for the food, there were several highlights. The wontons were spectacular, and the broth was exceptional. The pasta was cooked perfectly al dente. The quality of the steak was excellent, although it felt like it could have benefited from an accompanying side. The portion of hollandaise (or mayonnaise-based sauce) was quite generous relative to the size of the steak. My husband's fish was light, fresh, and paired beautifully with the tender farro. The wine selection was decent and offered value compared with similarly priced wine lists elsewhere. The staff were friendly and pleasant throughout the evening, even though we were disappointed that our seating concerns could not be accommodated. One additional area for improvement: when we asked about purchasing a bottle of wine, our server initially assumed my husband wanted a single glass. While this was a minor misunderstanding, asking a brief clarifying question before placing the order would help avoid confusion. Overall, there is clearly talented people in both the kitchen and front-of-house team, and the quality of the food demonstrates that. However, inconsistent service, poor course timing, the lack of flexibility with seating, and the complete absence of follow-up after management indicated they would reach out ultimately left us disappointed.
