There was a small dispute on one of the claims and she addressed it carefully. She does her best to explain the concepts in clear terms and she even taught me how to appeal discrepancies. I know insurance is real tough to manage so I'm grateful she works hard for her patients. Rosa did an great job assisting the doctor with the fillings. She communicates well and she's always focused. Going into the fillings, I was a little nervous. For the big filling, the old one had to be removed. Dr. Diep is just too good. He really put me at ease. The doctor knows what he's doing. It's like trusting Green Arrow or Hawkeye to make the shot. Or trusting that the Hulk can lift that SUV off the ground. I feel like he has become one with the drill. He got the filling out. Saw additional decay and a crack. Took the time to take photos for me. Took extra minutes to make sure my bite was aligned. And even showed me everything after we finished. I went to this dental office for three times recently as a new patient, worst dental experience I…read morehave had. My dentist was Dr. Sheryl Lansangan. First time: for tooth filling. After the procedure I complained about the sensation from the newly filled tooth. Second time: for teeth's cleaning and Dr. Lansangan tried to figure out why I still felt sensitive about the tooth. She was confident that there was nothing wrong about the newly filled tooth, she suggested my sensitivity was from other teeth nearby. So she did two more teeth filling procedure for me, even though I did not feel any discomfort or sensation from the two teeth. Afterwards I still felt sensitive from the same location of the first filled tooth. I went to different dentist office for secondary opinion. The dentist from this office identified the sensitive spot from the first filled tooth. He said the filling procedure done previously did not cover the sensitive area fully, he suggested to redo the filling procedure. I called Highland dental about the secondary opinion from other dentist. The assistant from desk lady said you should report to us instead of going to different dentist. I responded, I did report to Dr. Lansangan, but she was not able to identify and resolve the problem. Then the assistant agreed to make an appointment with me with no additional charges. Third time: this time the dentist was Dr. Tran. He was not friendly, even a little angry, apparently because I went to different dentist office for consultation. He reluctantly admitted the problem, but eventually he agreed that the filling material from the first filled tooth was falling out, he redid the filling procedure. They are care about their own reputation more than care about their patients. On the other hand they are not very skilled dentist.

The nice music, friendly atmosphere and genuinely caring staff have completely changed the way I feel about going to the dentist. I've also had the pleasure of watching their practice grow. When I first became a patient, Esther shared the reception area with the receptionist. Now she has her own office and the practice continues to grow, while still maintaining the personal and caring atmosphere that made it special from the beginning. They have an incredible team. Deanna greets us from the monitor at the front desk and is always responsive to our voicemail and text questions. I've been cared for by so many wonderful assistants, including RoShawn, Ghezel, Karen, Claudia and Nahila. I hope I haven't forgotten anyone because everyone who has helped with my care and cleanings has been wonderful. My Invisalign treatment lasted about two years. Dr. Maurice cared for me for the first year and a half, and Dr. Kieran took over afterward. RoShawn also helped me throughout my Invisalign journey. I couldn't have asked for better care. Given this experience and how quickly this newer office accumulated 1000+ glowing Google reviews compared to established practices in the area, I question whether they all reflect real patient experiences. It's hard to believe such a high number wasn't at least partially boosted by fake reviews or bots. During my initial visit, the dentist never mentioned the significant bone loss clearly visible on my X-rays and confirmed by AI analysis. I only learned about it later when the hygienist casually brought it up during a routine cleaning. It was only since the hygienist shared the bone loss with me -- and not the dentist -- that I began losing trust in the practice. I appreciated that they promptly extracted a molar that was bothering me and a broken wisdom tooth. However, the treatment plan placed scaling and root planing (the standard deep cleaning for periodontitis) on the back burner while prioritizing extractions, bone grafts, root canal on tooth #9, and a crown. When I questioned the bone loss, I was told "it's not that bad" and that my "roots are long." Long roots may offer some benefit, but they do not replace the need for proper initial therapy to control gum disease. Standard periodontal guidelines recommend stabilizing the infection first through deep cleaning before major restorative procedures to improve long-term success and reduce complications. Because of the lack of transparent communication from the dentist and the deprioritization of foundational periodontal care, I lost trust in the practice. I am now seeking a second opinion from a periodontist and strongly considering finding a new dentist. Future patients: Ask to review your X-rays together, inquire specifically about any bone loss, pocket depths, and the planned sequence of treatment. Make sure the dentist clearly explains the diagnosis and why any deep cleaning is being delayed. Proper phased care for gum disease is essential.
