I purchased a high-end Carrier system from these fine folks. The installation was plagued with challenges (e.g., not enough space for new unit in attic, etc.). A couple of the issues were avoidable, hence the 4 stars. However, I must say that Force Home Services is 100% dedicated to customer satisfaction. They never made excuses and my satisfaction with their work and product was always their only concern. I know my job cost them more than they made, but they never complained or brought up their expense. They just did the right thing. This commitment to service is not just with management -- every employee I have encountered demonstrates the same commitment. Not every install goes perfectly, and that's exactly when customer service becomes critical. It's also worth noting that the owner, Ron, has many veterans on staff. It's great to see a local business giving opportunities to our local heroes. You gotta like that! read more

I called to have a wax ring replaced on a leaking toilet. I've done this job myself many times, but now suffer from arthritis. I even supplied the wax ring and shims for leveling. This is a 20-30 minute job. They wanted to charge $455!!!!!!! And we are paying for their annual inspection service. So tired of plumbers who are taking advantage of customers with their commissions based abuses. read more

The initial estimate promised a lot but DEFINITELY didn't deliver. If you use them, my advice would be to print a copy of the work you're being quoted for and go line by line like we did to make sure it gets done. Force Home Services were at our house for 3 weeks because they kept half-assing everything. Below are examples: 1.) They were supposed to replace and level the pad for external unit. They only replaced the external unit. I had to call them back out to replace the pad and then back out again to level it after they propped it with a 2x4 (see pic) 2.) They cut the suspended duct work in the attic and left it with several kinks which was restricting air flow. I had to call them back to re-hang all of it and make sure it was flowing properly. 3.) We had just installed all new blow insulation throughout the house the year before... they threw their metal scraps, empty coffee cups, tape rolls, and rags in the insulation. I had to go through with an extension grabber and get as much as I could. There's still a QT coffee cup up there that I simply can't reach (see pic) 4.) They agreed to clean the duct work throughout the house. They only cleaned the upstairs. I had to call them back out to do the downstairs and they still didn't get all of them. 5.) They twisted the valve on our external hose bib so far to the right that they broke it and caused it to leak... which made a swamp on our side yard for about 2 weeks. Not really sure why they even had to use the water. They sent a plumber to replace it but then water began leaking into our master bath and master closet. 6.) The leak inside the house, caused by fixing the leak outside, required a second company (Dry Force... unaffiliated) to come in and dry out what was behind the walls and on the floor. This required ripping out some of the padding in our master closet and plugging in 4 industrial sized drying machines for a about a week. Our power bill was easily $100 higher from power used and heat generated that month AND when the equipment was removed, Force was only willing to pay to replace the bare minimum from the damaged caused. After the water incident, I just had them cut me a check for what they were willing to pay ($250) and opted to do the work myself in order for it to be done right (the first time). We will never use or recommend them again. read more

Since out last encounter our experience has gotten worse so our star level has dropped further. Now, over a month later, we are randomly receiving notification of a magical outstanding balance of well over $800? They last came to our house September 18th. It's November 3rd. For record, when we called to immediately terminate any further services with this company- no one cared and not one question was asked. The response we received was simply that they would remove our card on file, cancel services moving forward and hung up the phone. We received zero follow up on why we were so unhappy to terminate future services. We we're never notified of a balance or anything if the sort. In addition- we never signed anything indicating we owed any balance, received an invoice, nothing. Despite all of these facts, I received a phone call indicating we had a balance over $800 (Which we obviously are disputing). Do yourself a favor and choose any other company. read more

i need a coil clean on my interior air handler coil and the company that installed my equipment gave the estimate and scheduled me for the following Monda. I have had several marketing calls from Force and decided to ask if they could accommodate me sooner and they scheduled for today and I described in detail the ease of access and my request for a coil out clean. Ground level in a closet with plenty of access. Estimate $450-600 The tech was late but called ahead and once he arrived I was met with the feeling he was not interested in doing the work. He too a quick look and asked if they had given a price and I told him yes and let him know the numbers where he proceeded to the truck and got on the phone and during the call he said it would be $800-900:and I explained the first company was onlly half as much and he gave his card and left. Upon calling the office to voice my displeasure I was called back by an operation manager who only seemed to make several excuses and tell me the service is actually $1300 So I wasted a day off and found out the Force Home service is not to be trusted (( As Expected the Company is trying to say they made a mistake and they did not know I needed the coil cleaned outside.They did know and the lady on the phone consulted another person prior to pricin. This company charged me $341.93 to replace two thread-on style garden hose bibs. The total job took 45 minutes and only $15.00 in parts. When questioned about their labor rates they would not discuss or disclose a 'labor rate' and instead of offering to come to an agreement about the bill, their resolution was to try to give me a free home inspection, so they could get more work from us. No thank you! We will choose someone else, anyone else, the next time we have an issue. read more

Force home services advertised drain unclogging for a certain price and i called to get an appointment. Was promised a certain time and i had to miss work to fit them in and an hour prior they call to say they need to reschedule for next week. I am not available next week so i requested them to come any other time today or tomorrow and first they said they do not have the time and then they said they cannot honor the price. Very disappointing as i had not called anyone else and now i am left with a leaking drain , and not appointment. Terrible and will never call or trust them again. Our first experience with Force Home Services was yesterday. Our AC stopped working. I called several AC companies and was told they could not get to us today, maybe first of next week, unless I wanted to pay overtime charges. When I called Force Home Services, I was told they had a full schedule, but promised to send a tech out between 6-8pm. No mention of overtime charges. Arthur was the tech assigned, he came earlier than scheduled. He was very professional and polite. He found the problem and had it fixed in 30 minutes. Customers BEWARE! Have been a Force Home Services customer for some time now and even enrolled in their Comfort Club service program so that they could maintain my system throughout the year. During their latest maintenance visit I was informed that I had a couple of capacitors going bad and that I should probably go ahead and replace. OK with this suggestion, but once I received a price of $500 for (2) capacitors that combined I could have purchased for less than $75 and replace in less than 5 minutes, I now have no confidence that Force Home Services has my best interest. Even made a call to the office to make sure this wasn't a tech issue only to be offered a $50 credit. Doesn't quit address the issue when I am paying them monthly to service my units which covers (2) maintenance visits a year. read more

If they don't even go by their word of taking you off a mailing list, what kind of business are they really going to do for you with that kind of honesty? Drove 45 minutes across the metroplex to meet a technician at my rental property. He didn't show for the sales quote appointment. I called the dispatcher and she said the tech had "moved my appointment" an hour (without notification). Then she updated me that he wouldn't make that time either. This company appears to be over-committed and under-performing. Worse, they don't even have the courtesy to properly manage customer appointments in advance. Technician Isaac showed up at my dads house to do a health check on his sysytem. He was told that he needed to replace the start capacitor. Isaac then started pressuring my 84 year old dad to replace the pan below the A/C unit and he needed to do a thorough duct cleaning And sealing for $1200.00. My dad finally agreed to have the start capacitor replaced and not to do the other work. Isaac then charged my dad $444.00 to replace the capacitor. This job should cost no more than $150-$175 quoted from several reputable HVAC people.I found the exact replacement for the capacitor that was installed on amazon that had lasted many years for $12.50. My dad was never given the opportunity to sign the invoice, the technician forged his signature. I understand that with COVID some might say that's the reason for the forging but my dad has had both rounds of the vaccine and the time needed for the vaccines to be effective so I'm not buying that. Price gouging the elderly is a class A misdemeanor. When I remove the old capacitor I'm going to have it checked.If its still good I'm going to contact the police,the texas attorney general and the BBB And anyone else that will listen and have this company and technician charged to whatever extent the law will allow. Taking advantage of an elderly couple and pillars of the community like my parents is a special kind of deplorable evil. Our a/c stopped working sometime last night. I called first thing in the morning and had a technician (James) at my house within an hour. James did a great job for us. He quickly troubleshot the problem to a burnt blower motor. He called to find the part and verified the motor was still under warranty. Within 3 hours, everything was fixed and the house was cooling off. I've used a few different HVAC companies in the past and none remotely measured up to this standard. I've been a customer of Force Home Services for a few years now as they have installed two new AC units at my home. Today, I had a routine plumbing inspection performed. Mike was prompt, courteous and probably the most professional service provider that has ever crossed the threshold. After the inspection, Mike went through his findings and explained everything in detail without being demeaning or brief. I decided to have one issue repaired while he was here. A leaky, stubborn pipe gave him quite the fight but Mike was able to complete the repair quickly without any damage to the rest of the sink or pipes. He even took care to carefully clean up the site and put up with my overly "helpful" hound dog! Worst $6000 mistake I made was hiring Force Home Services to replace my HVAC system. I voiced a concern the second day of a 5 hour install job. One would think since it took more than double the amount of time to finish the job that the work would be outstanding -- not the case. Force Home Service manager was pleased with the install even though he stated the copper piping would need to be insulated before the job could pass city inspection. I got a second opinion from a Carrier specialist to come look over the work because I knew the install was bad but did not know how bad and he suggested a complete reinstallation of both the outside and inside unit was needed. COMPLETE RE-INSTALLATION is needed. Do yourself a favor and look for another company for HVAC. read more

Force Home Services is excellent. We have had them for 2 years now and are very happy with them. They inspect our heating and AC twice a year and plumbing once. Absolutely NO sales pressure to replace things, even our small upstairs 23 year old furnace that is only used a couple of times a year. I love this company! I am a comfort club member, so they come out quarterly to change my A/C filter and do maintenance. They installed the A/C, which has been great, and take care of all of my plumbing needs, too. As a single mom, I have been taken advantage of PLENTY of times in the past 20 years. So I appreciate the feedback from the technician that came out on my heater check-up but the two items I called in for weren't really addressed. Unit installed about 6 months ego and when I went to change the filter I found that physically getting to the filter is very much more challenging than the old unit. There is an electrical line in the way that you have to step over and then lift up two hanging ducts to get the the access door. Once there I found that there isn't sufficient clearance for what I thought was a standard 4" filter that everyone can get at the home supply houses. Turns out my 4" box won't accommodate those filters but if I take a leisurely 30 minute drive (past my local Lowe's) to an HVAC Supply House, the place where the techs probably go, I can buy a 3 3/4" 4" filter that almost fits. I say almost because the access door doesn't open wide enough to easily accept the replacement. You risk cutting your hands while you try to squeeze the new one in. This all stems from a lack of planning during the install that I now have to deal with the vendor. The tech that came out for the maintenance or checkup went so far as suggesting that I use a 1 " filter in my 4" box as that will fit. Ahh ok. So I have to now go back to the owner of the shop and ask him to come out and review the install and suggest a correction that will hopefully make this unit easier to service. I chalk this up to an end of a long day's install and once they figured out the clearance issues I would have the installers move on and left for those that would follow. No happy that I have to revisit this install multiple times. read more
