The revolutionary idea about Ford's Garage is that it serves whole wheat buns. Such a simple accommodation but rare in most establishments. I gave this place 2 -stars based on the food being actually pretty good. However, the service makes this place awful! the hostesses are completely rude and one time completely ignored us when we talked her. The actual food servers are hit and miss. I hope that someone in management figures this out we live so close and would come 3 nights a week. When we do brave ourselves to go it's sometimes almost comical at how rude the staff is. read more

I have been to Cape Coral and Downtown Fort Myers' Ford's locations and have always been pleased. However, tonight we went to the one at Miromar and were seriously disappointed in the service we received. Bianca, our bartender was clearly dissatisfied with having customers walk in at 9:45 to sit at her bar that closes at 11pm. She paid more attention to her boyfriend (or significant other/person of interest) to our left, than actual paying customers. We tried to give her the benefit of the doubt, being a previous server myself, until she again, looked and acted like we were some kind of inconvenience to her. Way to be Fords. You were so good to us last year when we vacationed. We talk up about how good the food is and it was a huge fail. Decently busy but plenty of seating for 8:30pm on a Tuesday. Poor woman in front of us waited 10 minutes to even be acknowledged. When she finally was seated, it was with a rude "how many in your party" no hello, sorry, nothing. The server/hostess/bartender who sat her couldn't have missed our party of 5 waiting right behind her... but she did. We waited another 5-10 minutes and still didn't get seated, get a quick wave, or a "so sorry we'll be right with you". We're a cool crowd that would have had a hearty bill. However, we're leaving hungry and taking our empty stomachs elsewhere. Sorry to inconvenience you guys with our business! read more

Food is good and this location does get busy because it's in a mall, especially when Florida is "in season" and busy with tourist. My only and greatest complaint is that they allow smoking in the outside seating area. NOT COOL and very unpleasant to have to breathe second hand smoke and while you are trying to eat? It's not like there is a choice to sit away from a smoker, there usually isn't when the restaurant is busy. Because of the smoking we won't be going back. read more

Really busy on the Friday after the holiday. We were really impressed with their table paging system which sends you a text message when it's your turn to be seated. We were told it would take up to a half hour to be seated, but because we weren't picky about where we sat(inside or out), we were actually seated in under 10 minutes. The atmosphere was very cool with various truck, car and gas station paraphernalia. Check out the restroom sinks for some interesting conversation later. Was worried that our meal would be all atmosphere and no substance. However the burgers were surprisingly tasty as well as a bit messy. Ate dinner here for the first time ever, NO WAIT TIME ON A MONDAY NIGHT. Our server was very attentive & the theme inside the restaurant was really cute. I have dined here twice now and the food is just ok, the atmosphere is alright. It is the best dining option at the Miramar Outlets but that isn't saying much. The Bloody Mary is really good and one of the best I've had in SW Florida. The fried pickles have a thick batter on them almost like a light pancake batter, wouldn't recommend. Waitress was excellent, first chips we received with our buffalo chicken dip were stale, waitress was all over and replaced immediately, green beans with food didn't appear to be cooked, meatloaf was tough, french fries on my friends plate cold. Food was fine but the service was garbage. We had to wait 10 minutes for drink, our food took forever. Drinks were never refilled. When I asked a question our server was sassy and she was pretty much nonexistent the entire meal. Probably won't be back until the service gets better. read more

Another awesome local SWFL restaurant. I wasn't sure what to expect the first time I walked into the Ford's Garage in Miromar Plaza. The décor/atmosphere was completely over the top, which usually means that the food was going to be okay at best. I was completely blown away! My wife, kids and I have had nearly everything on the menu, and we have been coming back regularly every time we're in town (all winter). We recommend the mac and cheeses, and the Ford's Signature burger. My son asks the bartender to "honk the horn" of the car above the bar, which makes real car noises, lights and "exhaust". I sat at the outside bar. Renee took very good care of me. Great service and great food. I had the American Standard burger. It was cook exactly as I asked and served with a good portion of hot fries that were hot and perfectly crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside, not greasy. The theme, right down to the 'shop rag' or 'oil rag' napkins, is authentic but not over the top or overwhelming. Definitely worth a return trip next time I am in the area. read more

I have been to a couple Fords garages and the food is always good and the experience is better. This one however, service was bad, they had all the doors open in 90 degree weather. Flys we're buzzing around my kids head the whole time, and I don't think they understand the idea of putting enough ice in a drink to make it cold. read more
