Horrible experience! First and last time going here. I went with my family. My mom was attracted to the restaurant because of the decor outside and everything. We sat down at our table and were given menus. We didn't even get the chance to look them over before getting asked what we were going to order. After a couple of minutes, we finally did order. For our appetizer, we ordered the BBQ Ford's Classic Wings. The wings were delicious, nicely seasoned, and the ranch paired nicely with them. The wings were saucy and kinda messy--and we didn't have any napkins around us. The waiter eventually came to our table and we asked him for napkins. He came back with some blue rags--I get it, it's part of the whole restaurant theme and everything. For our entrees, my sister ordered the Salmon with a side of mashed potatoes and broccoli. I ordered the Crispy Chicken Sandwich with a side of Ford's Fries. My dad ordered the BBQ Pork Ribs with a side of mashed potatoes and coleslaw. Lastly, my mom ordered the Beer-Battered Fish N' Chips with a side of fries. After putting in our order, the waiter came back and said they were out of ribs--my dad switched to the Grilled Sirloin Steak, with the same sides of mashed potatoes and coleslaw. After about 30 minutes, we received our dishes. We weren't able to eat because we didn't have any utensils at the table. We asked the waiter for utensils and waited around 5-10 minutes for them. It seemed like he had forgotten to bring them to our table. We had also ordered more ranch and barbecue sauce. After a couple of minutes, the waiter came to give us our utensils; he also cleared the plates we had used for our appetizer. My dish was a chicken sandwich, and the bread had a stamped logo of the restaurant name. My mom had the fried fish, which looked really big. My dad noticed that instead of coleslaw for one of his sides, he was given broccoli. He decided not to say anything and just eat it. We began eating our meals. My mom cut into her fish and immediately noticed something was wrong. Her fish was undercooked, and she couldn't even eat or look at it. My chicken sandwich wasn't hot or warm at all, and in my opinion, was flavorless. My mom only ate the fries from her plate--refusing to eat the undercooked fish. My dad ate his dish and it was fine--other than having the wrong side. My sister ate her dish, and there was nothing wrong with it at first. We waited and waited for the waiter to come by, which felt like forever. He eventually came by and dropped off the sauces we had asked for earlier, and my sister told him about our mom's dish. He took the dish away and we patiently waited. At this point, I had lost my appetite and could not continue eating. My sister was still eating--as she ate her mashed potatoes, she found a hair in them. I told her not to move it or take it out, and to leave it in the dish. A couple of minutes later, what seemed to be the manager of the restaurant came to our table asking about the undercooked fish. In addition to the fish, I mentioned how my sister had just found a hair in her mashed potatoes. Both my mom and sister explained everything to him. He offered to cook another fish for my mom, but she said no. He continued and continued to offer, asking my sister and mom if they wanted any other dish--they said no. He then said the two dishes would be taken off our tab. He continued to offer us food; this time, he offered anything off the dessert menu. We politely declined and just asked for the check. He then took my sister's dish away. Shortly after, the check came to the table. What is worse than the terrible food? The prices! Given that two dishes were taken off our tab, we were only paying for our appetizer, drinks, and two dishes. The food was not worth even half the amount of money we paid. After leaving the restaurant, I went on Yelp and looked at the reviews--which I should've done much earlier. I saw a lot of reviews about bad service and one or two reviews about people feeling sick after eating at the restaurant. My only hope is that my family and I don't get sick. I absolutely adore this spacious garage themed eatery. Bright colors, vintage pictures and signs and actual cars! The Honey and I had dinner here on Sunday, April 12th, 2026. We were in the area and decided to check it out. We were seated promptly and our server James greeted us warmly when he arrived at our table. The Honey had the meatloaf entree with two sides and I opted for the Ahi Tuna Bowl. Both meals were absolutely delicious! My bowl was bursting with lettuce, cabbage, avocado, wonton strips and the salad dressing just pulled everything together! We were satisfied but still craved dessert. James suggested the homemade Key Lime pie....he said the company was Florida based. He did say all the desserts were good but, if you like Key Lime we needed to try it. For a Monday lunch I was happy this place was open. My first time here it did not disappoint. Not crowded there was fast and accommodating service. Staff were pleasant and bustling around. Our waitress gave us time to really look at the menu and put our app orders in before entree. There were weekday deals available also. I love how everything was Ford mechanic shop themed, it made for an eye catching experience especially for my friends 1 year old. The staff quickly prepared a booster seat for her as well. Although there was not a kids menu available in the regular one, when we inquired there was a variety offered for the young one. We got the nachos with chicken it was a HUGE PORTION, definitely too much for two adults we took more than half home. I had the Cali Roadster burger which was just my size (smaller than the traditional burgers) with avocado slices , garlic aioli and pepper jack cheese. Yummy but slightly messy wouldn't ask for that on a business lunch. The kid got Mac and cheese with some grilled chicken and mom a bison burger. Zero complaints. It was a nice first time experience. Stopped in at Ford's Garage at the Smith haven mall after a long work day, I've been meaning to check this joint out for a while and I certainly picked the perfect spot, right off the bat I was welcomed by the lovely hostess Kat who made me feel at home from the second I walked in the door, I sat at the bar and was greeted by my server Angie who was an absolute delight, great conversation, service, and recommendations. From the fun tire sink in the bathroom to the spinning wheels on the bar above the bar, there's an eye catching display everywhere you look. The food was good. I had the burger salad and was really glad, since it allowed me to taste the quality of the ground beef and it did not disappoint! The boom boom shrimp app was great and my son had his pork baby back ribs were good. But his tater tots were cold - nearly frozen in the center. He told the waiter who was about to bring out new when my son ordered fries instead. The fries were tasty but it was a really tiny portion. They also forgot the burger sauce on my salad. It sounds nit picky, but there weren't many pickles on my salad, either, which is part of what would set it apart from a regular salad. (It was supposed to be their take of a famous keto dish - Big Mac in a bowl.) The service was pretty slow, too. To end on a high note, we might return if we were in the mood for a really good burger but it's not a place I'd rave about or recommend. I'm not really a car guy but what a great experience. Really glad I checked this place out. **Food 5/5** The burnt ends sandwich was incredible - so tender and juicy with amazing flavor. This was our second visit to the restaurant. The first time the food was excellent but the service wasn't the best. Despite that, we decided to return because we really enjoyed the food. On this visit, we were seated right away, but unfortunately, no one came to our table for nearly 30 minutes--not even for water--while other tables that arrived after us were already being served. It was frustrating, and we were just about to leave. We flagged down a staff member, and shortly after, the manager, Javier, came over. Javier was incredibly professional, apologetic, and genuinely understanding. He immediately brought us water, took our order, and had appetizers out within minutes. From that point on, the service turned around completely. His attentiveness truly made all the difference. To make up for the initial delay, we were kindly offered a complimentary appetizer and dessert, which was handled in a very professional and gracious manner. Once again, the food was a solid 10/10. The burgers were packed with flavor and cooked to perfection, and the cocktails were good. While the evening started off on a rough note, the way the situation was handled left a lasting impression. It's been a while since we've been here as we had a not great experience when they first opened. Now that it isn't crazy busy like it was when it first opened, the experience was so much better. I've already had the Monte Cristo here before which was amazing, it was reminiscent of Bennigans back in the day. The sandwich was amazing, though both times I ordered it, it was cold in the center, but even still the taste was great. This time I decided to try a burger, and it was fabulous. It's the second best burger I've had on Li, Village Idiot's marinated burger is #1 for me. The burger here was cooked exactly to the wellness I asked, a challenge at other restaurants I go to. It was flavorful, the bun wasn't too thick, and it was nice and juicy. The fries were essentially straight versions of seasoned curly fries, also tasted great. The pricing is very reasonable, dinner and desert for $66. A similar meal next door at Cheesecake Factory would be about $90. We will be back! read more

This seemed like a cool place to dine until you wait for their slow service and salty food. I wanted to like this nostalgic restaurant given its creativity, history, and location. However, the execution pales in comparison to the cute concept with cars, rags for napkins, and garage doors for window views. As a fan of the Ford GT40 for symbolizing how American ingenuity can beat and sweep the European race cars, such as Ferrari, at the Le Mans, I wish this restaurant could emulate their level of excellence. The only things that I enjoyed were the tower of onion rings on a funnel, truffle fries, and sweet potato tater tots. Otherwise, I had issues with the following: - Large slice of fish and chips with only malt vinegar and without tartar sauce - Estate burger was seasoned with a layer of salt to the point that it was inedible, especially if anyone has high blood pressure - The meat in the overdrive melt seemed so dry that I could barely swallow each bite without gulfing down their guava fizz mocktail, full of ice. This luncheon could be worth ~$35 per person if we could eat and enjoy it. Service took forever to get seated given tables seemed mostly designed for four people, not a family of five adults with a toddler. Moreover, the food took forever to cook and serve given they seemed to allocate more staff as hostesses standing around with nothing to do to chat than the few waiters and servers. Here's the Scoop! Came here after Church for lunch. First off upon entering the decor is impressive. It has the garage feel. The wall decor, seating and table set-up is very creative with C-Clamps as napkin holders. The menu has many tasty looking pics and descriptions of their entree line up. This retro designed restaurant has a comfortable seating with full variety of and specialty drinks. Outdoor seating is large as well. Many large screen TVs throughout the restaurant. The food that we ordered (see pics) was simply delicious. I was very impressed and look forward to diving deeper into their menu on my next visit. Smithaven Mall, its the place where I spent my time as a teenager. To open this cool looking restaurant in the former Bobby's Burger Palace spot is like a shot in the arm for my mall. When they opened Texas Roadhouse in Selden, it was impossible to get a table so I expected the wait times to be long. Everyone is Christmas shopping and would like a good meal outside of the food court. I have to say Ford's Garage delivered. And to have the *ONLY* Long Island Ford's Garage in Suffolk County makes my heart sing. So suck it Nassau County! I honestly have to say, the quality of food that was served to us was very good. Take for example the Chicken Bites starter. The chicken was fresh, it wasn't over fried and the sauce had a little heat. The burgers being served are huge. YUGE! Ford's Garage makes all types of 1/2 pound specialty burgers. They also sell 1/4 pound cheeseburger choices if a big burger is too much. First time here, the Smoked Brisket Burnt Ends melt looks like a sharable sandwich: Smoked Brisket Burnt Ends Caramelized in Bourbon BBQ Sauce, Tillamook® Sharp Cheddar, and Bacon Jam on Country White Toast. Mmmm mm! This sandwich was also a very good, quality sandwich. The Piston Onion Rings are one of the best onion rings I had in a long time. Another solid side dish. Cold beers, 25 burger choices all being served in a cool setting. So why four stars? I mean, in the Men's room, I did pee in a beer keg? um.. awesome My only gripe? My only positive comment is that the theming is creative, the restaurant was spacious. The wait staff is excellent. Now that that is out of the way... First we start off with sprite or whatever lime soda that was, I can't tell you because the syrup ran out. The waitress checked on the new one and discovered both machines were out of syrup. Judge for yourself. The reviews were extreme, either really good or really bad. They are still relatively new restaurant though first impression sets the tone of customers wanting to return or not. I feel like they need someone to direct the traffic flow or better distribution too. For us, this is the second time we tried this place. First time was a 2-3 hour wait during the weekend which we couldn't do. Second time Wednesday evening a little after 7PM, the wait is about an hour, so we put our name down and walked around the mall until we didn't have any more stores to check out. We checked in at 7:40PM and was advised there is another 20 minute wait. That isn't too bad. Unfortunately, there was a big group so they used up 4 tables so it's tough, since it doesn't look like the servers help each other out. I sat down on the bench to wait for our table and the customers next to me asked me how long have we been waiting. We replied about 40 minutes and still have 20 minutes to go. They started waiting at 7:30PM and was advised it would be 45 minutes. While waiting, we saw customers paid their check and leave. It took a long time for someone to clear and clean up the table. The waiter finally cleaned the table though he didn't have a bin to put all the dirty items in. This confirms the other yelpers' comments about the potential slow service. Next thing we observed was the serving staff going up to the hosts/hostesses table (which was a really low table that they have to hunch over the screen to do work) to have a discussion. It wasn't a quick check in discussion. I felt like I was watching a kitchen nightmare episode though in real life. My friend and I looked at each other and said this doesn't look good especially in front of the customers waiting for their table. After that situation, the customers next to me decided to go to another restaurant. Another set of people sat next to me on the bench. They were talking about the group discussion that just happened with me as well. We finally saw a busboy cleaning up the tables slowly. Seems like there is a shortage of staff maybe due to the weather or scheduling. I'm wondering why everyone wasn't helping each other out to get more customers in and a quicker turnaround time. Yes, it's easy for me to say that since I'm not working here and don't know the plan though when you are sitting there watching this, I felt like pitching in so I can order and go. 5 minutes later we are shown to our seats. There were plenty of empty 2-4 seat tables by the restrooms ready to serve guests so the long wait could have been cut down, maybe there weren't enough waiters/waitresses. Kathy, our waitress, was great. She asked us if we wanted to order any drinks while checking out the menu. She checked in to make sure we were ok after we received our food. We ordered the: French Onion Soup - wasn't bad tasting. The cheese covering the top was skimpy (see picture). Cheese only partially covered half the top compared to other places. Ford's Signature - medium well burger - came out looking more like medium rare. The burger didn't have any flavor. Fries are ok. Mushroom Swiss - medium well burger - came out with the right temperature though the burger was very salty. I asked my friend to try it. The feedback was that it was dipped in ocean salty though at least I have flavor. Tater tots are good. The soup came out in a reasonable time. The main entrees came out immediately afterwards to the point Kathy was asking if we wanted to keep the entrees warmed. We decided to keep the dishes. Overall the service wasn't bad though keep in mind, by this time it was closer to 8:30 and not many people waiting for tables. Go check it out for yourself and decide if you want to wait. read more

I would always walk by this spot outside and inside the mall. We finally went and checked it out. The drinks and food was awesome! My husband ordered the BBQ brisket sandwich and I ordered their Swiss mushroom burger and substituted the veggie burger option since I don't eat meat . We ordered their delicious pretzels. They were nice nice hot and soft ! For drinks, I ordered the old fashioned burnout drink. It was great! Loved the Smoke coming out when I got it. My husband ordered a drink with the marshmallow. First time here. Came for the Monte Christo sandwich that I've been craving forever. It was huge and yummy, but no raspberry preserves on the side. When I mentioned it, our waiter, Edgar apologized and even offered that I order something else. Minutes later, the GM, Jenn came over with a homemade version of preserves for dipping that she concocted. Can't remember the last time I had such good and kind service. I was so impressed and pleased with my time here. I took a friend on a surprise date and it was so cool for the both of us as car enthusiasts.
