Ford's Garage is a solid full service restaurant in St. Augustine, Florida. The restaurant opened in 2020. The restaurant team leased the Ford name and logo, but are not a part of the Ford Dealership, even though they are located adjacent to the car dealership at this particular location. The theme is as the title says, a car/garage theme. there are vintage Ford vehicles in front of the restaurant and one in the air near the bar area inside the restaurant. The theme centers around auto memorabilia right down to the mechanics rags for napkins and clamps for napkin rings. The atmosphere is lively and vibrant. It's located adjacent to the Ford car dealership at the outlet mall area just off I-95 at the St. Augustine exit. We were promptly greeted by the host. It was a busy Saturday lunch so it took a bit for a server to greet us and longer still to get our drink order. My dining companion said the water had a chemical taste to it. I had ordered a soda, so I didn't have that experience. My dining companion ordered the American Standard burger, served with American Cheese, Lettuce, Tomato, Red Onion, and Pickle Planks on a Brioche Bun. The default is french fries for a side item. We requested the parmesean cheese truffle fries. My dining companion said, this restaurant does burgers and fries right! I ordered the Estate Burger, served with Smoked Gouda Cheese, Sweet Red Onion Marmalade, Arugula, Tomato, Fried Onion Straws, and White Truffle Bacon Aioli on a Brioche Bun. I requested the seasoned kettle chips instead of french fries. The chips were crispy and delicious, but needed a little salt. The Estate Burger was a little messy because there are alot of components involved, but it was completely delicious. The burger buns each had a distinct char impression on the top and that made for a nice unique touch. It doesn't detract from the food at all. It took some time to get our check. We paid cash so we didn't have a further wait. We both agreed we would return because the food is worth the effort. read more

Daniel our service was absolutely amazing. My drink was never empty which is a big deal to this girl. I used my free birthday appetizer reward for the Ahi Tuna - I will say when it came out it was a little on the slim side - we mentioned to Daniel and he had a very nice manager (Eve was her name) come over and brought us a new dish. They both couldn't have been more emphatic and making sure we were happy. The restaurant itself sets you back to when times were simpler and relaxing. My main dish was of course the burger - a staple every time we visit. This isn't our local location but we will definitely be stopping by when we pass through St. Augustine. Well done! read more

My husband surprised me with lunch here, and I couldn't have picked a better spot to satisfy my burger craving. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was buzzing with energy. It must have been a popular birthday day, because there was plenty of singing--and the Model T over the bar even joined in with its honking and noise! We were greeted by Ava and seated right away, and soon after met our server, Davetta. Let me just say: request Davetta if you can! We started with the Tower of Onion Rings, and wow--they were everything onion rings should be. Thick-cut, golden, and crisp--not those pressed-together shreds, but real-deal onion rings. Delicious! For our main, we shared the Mushroom Swiss Burger, cooked perfectly to a medium-rare. The mushrooms were cooked just right and complemented the burger beautifully. Even the fries were top-notch, hot, crispy, and well-seasoned--just like the onion rings. (Did I mention the onion rings? Because I really should again. They were that good!) Stopped in at Ford's Garage for a late lunch after negotiating a deal at the dealership next door, all was well but nothing like relaxing in front of a good meal while strategizing before signing on the dotted line. We arrived and was immediately seated with no wait, within moments Kelly our wonderful and enthusiastic server greeted us with a smile and an arm full of menus. This was my first visit to this location but I'm very familiar with their fare, we chose the Smokey Brisket Burnt-end Melt with Ford Tots and Chicken Tenders with Fries - the food arrived quickly after our beverages were brought out and both entrées arrived hot and were delicious. We stopped here for lunch while we were talking over which motorcycle to buy at the Harley dealership a few doors down. We were seated promptly and our waitress came to our table within minutes to take our drink order. The place was quite busy, so this was a pleasant surprise. There were so many items on the menu that I would love to try so we will definitely have to make a return visit. I really wanted the French onion soup but they were out of all soup. That is the only reason this is not a five star review. My mushroom Swiss burger was cooked perfectly. We asked for the fries to be extra crispy and they were. (if you don't like pepper ask them not to season your fries.). My amaretto sour was delicious and my husband's beer came in a perfectly chilled mug. While you're waiting for your food, you can check out the old truck and memorabilia in the dining area. If you're a car person, you'll love the atmosphere. What a fun surprise to come across Ford's Garage. We had a few minute while charging our car and everyone was so professional and friendly. This restaurant is an experience to say the least. From the moment you walk in, you can just feel the difference. We stopped in while on a road trip and it was great! Fast friendly service, Kelly was awesome, refilled drinks before we knew we needed it and brought to go boxes since the portions are large. We had the pulled pork nachos, the estate burger and the bison burger. All very very very good, cooked as requested and delicious! The tots with the Carmel sauce are a must. We came to Ford's Garage because it was my kiddo's birthday pick and he says they have the best mac and cheese in town. When we were seated our server was lovely. Super attentive, gave us the time and space to make entree decisions and was on top of refilling our beverages. I opted trying their new chicken melt, my kiddo got the kid's mac and cheese with a side of mac and cheese, and my husband got the chicken fingers. Everything came out hot and was delicious. I did ask our waitress if they would sing for my kiddo's birthday. She accommodated and the servers came out singing to my kiddo. You who would have rather not have them sing? My kid. LOL. The only thing I didn't care for was while I don't mind paying for a dessert, the default is an $8 two scoop ice cream dessert. Let me start by saying the ladies at the front were extremely sweet. They advised a generous wait time and asked if we would be ok with it. We opted to wait and were sat before the estimated wait time elapsed. Our server, Tabitha, greeted us after a few minutes and started off great. We ordered appetizers while we decided what we wanted for our main dishes. Those came and then we ordered food. 45ish minutes passed and we still didn't have our food. The manager made a few passes by us but didn't stop to ask why we all looked bored and ready to leave. He even took a few minutes to stop at the bar and make some notes as he looked around. The bartender finally noticed we had been sitting for a while with zero service... empty app plates and drinks were on the table with no attempt to refill the drinks by our server. The bartender grabbed the manager and as our server came with a tray of food to our table after standing at the bar playing with her hair, she delivered our food with the manager awkwardly standing behind her. We explained to him the experience wasn't great and the food took extremely long. He brushed it off and asked if there was anything else he could get us. I asked for a refill of my drink and a box for my burger that was delivered cold. He never returned. Took 10% off the bill without ever coming back to the table. We didn't complain to get anything taken off the bill. We wanted him aware that the service had been awful. I can't tell you what the food tasted like bc it's in a box to have to be heated later bc I had zero patience left to be there and our server was clearly ready to go bc she brought our check faster than she greeted us in the beginning. My wife and I stopped in on a Sunday around 1 PM. Must say the parking there sucks! No parking, we had to walk quite a ways after finding a spot. We were lucky we were able to set up the bar otherwise it would've been a 45 minute wait. We enjoyed The visit overall. We both had iced tea. We are up in St Augustine for a well deserved vacation and decided to try this Ford's Garage, because the one where we live is always super busy. I only give either 1s or 5s for reviews because if you are mediocre it's not worth my time. Initially, it was going to be a 1 star rating because we were seated in the outside dining area and nobody came to even take drink orders for over 15 minutes, and we almost left . But, my wife finally asked to have us moved to a booth inside and we were glad we did. Our server, Davetta, was awesome! She was friendly and knew everything about the menu and about the beers, down to where and how some were made, with the various flavors, etc. We went with her suggestions and I really liked the Garage Beer with lime. When we ordered our food, I asked which she preferred between the Black and Bleu Burger or the High Octane, because both sounded amazing. She said she likes both because they were very flavorful, but the Black and Bleu Burger with a side of their garlic aioli sounded really good to her, so I tried it and was not disappointed at all. The aioli was very tasty. My wife had burger with a really good Bourbon BBQ sauce. We were both pleasantly stuffed by the end of the meal. Loved the atmosphere and the service. The motorcycle dealership down the street keeps recommending this location so I had to get in here. My lunch sized burger was very tasty with freshly cut vegetables. The onion rings had just the correct amount of crispy for me; no onion lingering after the bite. One bite and you get it all. There was no need for dessert after drinking black cherry flavored tea. There were several flavored teas to choose from and I had to get the one that caught my attention and it was very good. I think I'll try the strawberry flavored tea as well as a burger on my next visit. My server was very knowledgeable of the menu which helped me make my lunch selections. And for the people liking art; this place serves as a small museum. You have to see it all to believe it. You have hose clamps for napkin holders, there are engine blocks inside and the restroom for the guys is something else. And I had the savory burnt end sandwich on toasted bread with fries! The portion sizes are generous! think the drink menu was a hit also.
