AMBIANCE & DECOR: If you're not opting for carry-out there's ample table and booth seating inside. Everything from the hanging fishnets, cheesy lifebuoy, and water murals that span the wall, is what you would expect (and want) of a homey fish fry joint like this. And if all that's not entertaining enough, they've got the TV on too. SERVICE: They weren't rude about going back to get us something throughout our dining experience. I wanted to finish my sweet tea before I left and someone not my waiter noticed and offered me a take out cup. Everyone was wonderful at making sure we were taken care of. FOOD: The minute you are seated you're greeted with a tray of hush puppies! I ordered the special that night (fried flounder and shrimp platter) for about $9-10 and hot damn it was a lot of food! Not only was there a lot of food, it was hot, fresh, and delicious! I tasted the rainbow trout too and it was grilled perfectly and mighty tasty. I wish I had the appetite to finish everything we ordered because it tasted so good, but I was also happy to have seconds later. OVERALL: I love fish and chips so I've had my share at different restaurants and nothing beats the quality, service, and value of Forest City Fish Camp.

Seafood is great and they aren't super expensive. You may have to wait a bit for your order depending on how busy they are.

Service was good. Place was off the beating path. Fish was dry. Sides were okay. Probably will not return. You pay a lot for what you get.

When the waitress checked back I opted for their hand pressed burger that comes with lettuce and tomato and a pickle spear on the side, plus a side of your choice. I added cheese to the burger for a $1 up charge and chose fries for my side item. I was pleasantly surprised this time that the ambiance was not so loud that people would have to yell to talk with one another, it was at a normal restaurant range with the occasional loud laugh or child, but pleasant. My food came within a reasonable time and tasted really good. The waitress checked on me several times and provided refills and the check promptly. For all the above I would have to recommend. However, the cost was $16 and change for cash or $17 with a card (not including a tip). I know that prices are higher on everything, but this is a little much for what I had. And if I had know ahead of time they didn't have Gyros anymore I would have gone somewhere else with as good if not better burgers for a better price.

One of my friends had been before and recommended it so nobody else objected. It's right off the freeway and for arriving at 6pm on a Sunday and seeing a nearly full lot, I had high hopes. We were seated immediately at a spot facing a tv (which we requested) so we could watch a march madness game. It's an authentically decorated place with a menu to match. Our server asked for our drink orders, we all stuck with water, but it did take a bit for that to come out, which I suppose was a preview for the rest of the evening. We also got the guacamole and cheese dip; The cheese was warm and tasty but could have been a little thicker. The guacamole needed some salt/pepper. For our entrees, we ordered an assortment of plates - meat bowls, enchiladas, and I got the monterrey quesadilla (shrimp, mushroom, rice, and beans). The entrees took a good amount of time to come out- over 20mins- and when I asked the server for a group picture, he very brusquely dismissed me and never came back. Other than that hiccup, the food was indeed tasty, and the portions were huge. I could have had leftovers but ate more than I should have in one sitting and sacrificed the rest. Once we finished, we waited another 15-20 mins for our server to even return and give us the bill. While this place got the job done food wise and at a very decent pricepoint (my entree was $11), the wait time and service could use a bit more attention. @azfitfoodfun

It consisted of a layer of carrot cake, a layer of cheesecake icing, a layer of carrot cake, another layer of cheesecake icing, and topped crumbled carrot cake, served with a dollop of whipped cream. The staff was friend and provided vey good service. This restaurant is located in an old prison which adds an additional layer of intrigue to your experience.
