Im not the type to write yelp reviews but I had to make an account just for this. I came in the other day looking to try out this cute looking coffee shop. The barista was very cool and friendly. I got a coffee and a muffin. I went to put some milk in my coffee and noticed a few ants or termites on the lids and sugar packets where their little condiments section is. Then I sat down and just as I began to take a bite, I noticed ANTS CRAWLING all over the muffin. I was absolutely disgusted. I told the barista I was leaving and he was apologetic and offered a refund. He told me he had just started working there and had told the owner about the ants as soon as he first saw them. When I stepped up to the counter to get my refund, I noticed ants all over the rotten looking wooden counter? Seems that nothing has been done?? How can a food establishment operate under these conditions??? This place is a food safety nightmare, stay away! read more

Excellent reviews from everyone I've gone with (3 times since learning about it ~a week and a half ago), particularly on the breakfast burrito, bacon egg and cheese bagel, and specialty coffee drinks, including the Nutella mocha and seasonal salted maple caramel latte (not available for online order). Coffee wasn't super hot, which suited our preference, but online it looked like you could specify if you wanted it hotter. They just recently put in a small outdoor patio with two little tables and seating for maybe 5-6 people total(?), but it seemed like a nice touch. However, it's just a short walk to Bennett Park, so I opted to go there with my food instead. Also, this place allowed people with well-behaved, leashed dogs to come inside to wait/pick up orders. I overheard that they're planning to add some kind of falafel station, but I wasn't listening closely enough to know any details on that. Anyway, great little coffee shop. read more

Had a delicious mocha here on my way into work this morning! So psyched for this new spot and it's super convenient location right off the A. I live right by here and I'm surprised there aren't more local coffee spots, in the pst I've been going to the Starbucks just across fort wash and I'm so stoked that my daily coffee can now support a small business. Everyone was very friendly in the shop, the baristas were quick and attentive and I really enjoyed the decor. I'm excited to spend more time writing, reading and drinking coffee here! read more

Stumbled into this quaint little coffee shop by happenstance today. Coffee was delicious but what really struck me was how nice and helpful all the employees were. I got a small flat white and a lemon ginger tea for my daughter. I'm not a big tea drinker but I tried it and it was so DELICIOUS that I can't stop thinking about it. Pastries all looked good too. It's exciting to have a new independent coffee shop up in the area. I usually pop in about once every other day at various times, and it never seems overcrowded, even though the space is not huge, and there is usually a line of some kind. I also like the fact that it seems as though people don't just sit and plant themselves individually or in groups for hours and hours at a time, even though there are a decent number of small tables and a bar for seating. It's not the type of place that's going to be overrun with group gatherings. They appear to be hosting afterhours events with local talent, and also have work by local artists lining the wa I've noticed that they offer CBD products --personally not my thing--, whereas others in the area do not. They also offer a variety of pastries, and vegan options, some of which are regular items and others seem to be 'as available.' All of the items I have tried have been delicious, and friends who have accompanied me have also been quite pleased. The setup of the counter was a bit perplexing for me at first, but it doesn't bother me to walk the extra 10 feet to pick up my cup. Hopefully, they find themselves in business for many years to come! read more

I am giving any place coffee place in the neighborhood two stars, just because they care enough to be in business. But I have to strain to give that second star. Why? Well, my latte cost $5.44 for a 16 ounce size; it came barely lukewarm and flavor-free. No detectable coffee aroma or flavor. Why would I ever want to return? Nice place but, strangely, they don't service dark roast coffee, either drip or espresso. A huge disappointment in terms of quality of coffee. I recommend coffee option like in all of Italy with a dark roast option. But decorum is great. read more

I stopped by today and visited this coffee shop, disappointed as I see new staff faces on a weekly basis, its seems they can't retain staff for longer than 1 -2 months. Place an order of a coffee and 2 apple tarts, while he was taking my order he seems distracted with taking someone else information. Did not seem fully engaged and repeated my order 3 times, when all I ask was a medium 12 oz hot cup of coffee medium roast. Staff on the back was just standing there without even acknowledging or helping out. Last time I will be visiting this spot, I tend to support local business especially small coffee shops because I know what is to to run a small business. Trained to your staff on service, they are the key to your business. read more
