My boyfriend and I have been here twice for lunch. Once last year and just recently. They have increased their lunch prices since then so just be aware that the menus I posted last year are not the same as this current year. I had gotten their bento lunch special last year and was very happy with the amount of food but did not receive miso soup. They raised this price by $5 and I couldn't really justify that so I decided to get something else. My boyfriend got their sushi roll lunch special last time and in our recent visit and was happy with his choices. I got the sushi rolls lunch specials this time and I wished the rolls had more rice on them as there spots that had no rice at all or it would just come apart. For our rolls, we have tried their Philly roll, shrimp tempura roll, Lion King Roll, and spicy Bay roll. The sushi here is just your average sushi spot. It doesn't really differentiate itself from other places. For example, the spicy bay roll that I got just had a line of sriracha sauce and I was hoping for their own spicy sauce to top it off. The teriyaki was good from what I remembered but again, nothing to really differentiate it from other nearby locations. The service is friendly but they never come back to check on you or refill waters. Even when we were finished, the waitress was watching TV and must have got engrossed in it that she forgot we were there as no take out orders or other customers came in while we were there. They do have a large TV playing sports but no music and the TV was rather quiet. The space is nice but it just felt very dark but we sat next to a window so I could take nice pictures. I think this will be our last visit as there are other locations offer a better dining experience with better service and ambiance. read more

We came here on a Friday night hungry around 5:30p. The place only had two other tables occupied. My husband has been and really liked their yakisoba. I am Asian and I have eaten a lot of Japanese food growing up and I have very high standards for Japanese food. I had their bento box C and it very fresh and presentation was great. The sauce was not too salty and had a slight sweetness to dip in the tempura. The tempura batter was light and not thick batter and not undercooked. The salmon was cooked well and not over cooked, it did have a strong fish smell but overall tasted good. The california roll was very fresh and not salty. The salad was good and not too much dressing if you like mayo sesame dressing. The salad was fresh and had a slight crunch when I ate it. The edema was a little pricy for how much you get but my family liked them. The spider roll was very tasty but I had to get over the initial fishy taste of the crab which was cooked well. My husband said the nigiri was tasty and didn't seem to be spoiled. I had also tried the yakisoba and it was perfectly cooked. The noodles were slight chewy with a lot of sauce. I have not had yakisoba taste this good before and I know how to make them myself. The chef brought out our food and was very kind and warm. Food came out right away and the lady took our order once we sat down. The food came out pretty quickly. I would go back again to this little hole in the wall. It was cold outside and they sure turned up the heat. The chef and the waitress seem to be an old couple just working there. They were super friendly to everyone. For three people, we ended up paying $80 but a lot of seafood so it was worth it. We did not have any food to take home because we finished it all. I have only ordered takeout here but the food is consistently excellent and I keep coming back for more. I love interacting with the old Korean couple that run the place and I almost feel bad putting them to work but it's their fault for making good food! I read reviews and most were glowing so I decided to check this place out. I went to their website, looked at their menu, then called in my order. My bill should have been around $40, but when I got there it was $60. When I questioned the price, I was told their website prices are old. I find that very deceptive. When I got home and looked at everything, it wasn't a lot of food for that price. I found the sushi and their rolls to be very loose and everything fell apart. Just looking at it was obvious they weren't made well. Sorry to say they will not get repeat business from me. All was salty and no flavor- they said no MSG but I'm not sure about that. We spent $107 including a 20% tip because it's locally owned. I'm giving a 2 because while the taste of the food was alright, the service was beyond terrible. We went in around 7:30 on a Friday evening and we were the only people there. The server lady was rude and inattentive. I simply asked if they had yallowtail collar (hamachi Kama) she replied "No" and walked away. The way she said it was such a turn off, we almost just left because of it. She never checked on us once, our waters went empty. If it's That slow our water should NEVER go empty. I have come here a few times and have been happy every time. I am still new to sushi and honestly find it a bit intimidating, but they have so many options to pick from that I have always found something that suits my mood! As far as I can tell, this is a husband and wife operation. The wife runs front of house/cooked food and the husband makes the sushi. This means you will always get the same quality every time, but also means that when they are busy there will be a wait. I don't mind the wait, it's worth it for me! I have read a few reviews saying the customer service is lacking, and I personally have never experienced that. They aren't overly friendly, but I have never gone without or been ignored. My favorite time to come is for lunch, as they have a '2 rolls for $10' special, and I can try something new :) The nigiri runs around $6-$7 for two pieces and regular price of the rolls is from $8-$12. It sounds like others really like their sushi, and maybe that is what they should focus on. I ordered beef fried rice to go. On the way home I could tell that it smelled burnt. When I got home and opened the lid, it wasnt burnt, but was walking the line really close. The flavor was just ok. Instead of chopped vegetables in the fried rice, it was clearly a bag of frozen mixed vegetables because it included LIMA beans. This place overcharges on purpose! We usually come here because it's very close to where we live. This place has over charged us twice, the first time we didn't say anything and just thought it was suspicious that $15 extra was on our bill but called it whatever. This second time we confronted her as we did the math and a mysterious 10 extra dollars was on our bill. They do not give an itemized bill so we had to barrow a menu and double check our math and add tax to make sure if we say something or make a fuss it's not over a couple of dollars. Our bill should have been $46 with tax but instead was $57. We asked her how our bill came out to that total and she started listing off the things we ordered and so we did the math AGAIN on our phones and showed her the results with tax so how is there an extra $10 on our order. She laughed and got all flustered and we asked her if she charged tax as double (even if she did charge tax as double it still wouldn't explain the amount we were charged) she said no and we told her to explain that extra money. She was upset and gave up 1$ and we told her that we wouldn't make a fuss if it was just a dollar and that there is extra money added to our bill. Anyways, she ended up giving us another dollar and we left as it went on too long. There are way better small businesses nearby worth your money, this place is not.
